After Colony 300, a new threat appeared. The Parsacle. An alien race with only one thing in mind, total domination of earth. There are 5 pilots who dare stand up to them. They are Meilluardo Dashim, Marcus Pearlain, Edward Mitsaku, Pike Langcaster, and Marissa Hono. In a recent battle against the Parsacle, Commander Hono was killed in action piloting the Magestic mobile suit. And now, back to the story…
*I'm gonna try something different this time. I'm gonna put the story from Marissa's view. If I get something wrong, ladies, please correct me. Thank you.
The funeral was painful. As I watched the empty coffin blast off, I felt the tears well up into my eyes and the pain start again. My mind flashed back to that horrible moment when I saw my father die at the hands of that bastard Hylifar. As the sobs began to come back, I felt strong hands upon my shoulders. I knew it was Meilluardo. "Don't worry. He knew what the consequences were, and he took that chance. He was prepared." Meilluardo whispered to me. The band was still playing the salute. I kind of felt that that sentence shouldn't have made me feel better, but it did. I don't know why.
I headed back to my quarters, and the rest of the pilots followed me. "You're sure you don't need help getting through this?" asked Pike worriedly. "Yes, I'll be fine." I said with a smile. I sure didn't feel fine. In fact, I felt like crying my eyes out on someone's shoulder. It just hurt so bad. I went into my quarters without a second look. I just fell face down into the bed and started to cry. My mother had been told about the incident, and she fainted on the spot. She didn't even want to come to the funeral! I think that she loved my father so much that she didn't want to say goodbye. After a few minutes of crying, I sat up and wiped my still-wet face. I walked over to the small wash basin in my room, and washed my face. I dried off, and decided to go for a walk. I went to the small park that was outside the complex. It was quite small, not more than a few hundred meters in any direction. I sat at a small bench in the middle of it and watched the world go by…
By the time I woke up, it was already dark. I didn't realise how late it was. I took a look at my watch. 10:00 ?! I'd been gone for a few hours and nobody was looking for me? I started to get up, but I was suddenly grabbed from behind. Someone big pinned my arms behind my back. "Hey baby, gimme some suga." Said a gruff voice in front of me. From the shadows walked out a short man. He had a nose ring, a leather jacket, black hair and a knife in one hand. His eyes were strange. They seemed to change colours, and the longer I stared into them, I began to fall into a deep, deep spiral of blankness. I was awakened in the Sickbay, with a sleeping Meilluardo holding my hand. Then I fell asleep…
When I woke the next morning, everyone was there, their faces awash with relief. Except for Meilluardo. He was standing in the corner, away from everyone else. Everyone was saying how worried they were, and they all crowded around me. They gave me hugs, and kisses, and it was kind of nice. Then the nurse shooed everyone out. All the people left except for Meilluardo. He simply told the nurse to wait outside, and to make sure noone disturbed us. "I'm glad you're okay." Said Meilluardo, his eyes hard. "Do you know what happened to you last night?" he asked me, almost painfully. I shook my head no. His eyes seemed to soften, almost in pity, but quickly became harsh again. "You were raped." He said quietly. Almost inaudiably. I couldn't believe it. A feeling of despair hit me like a bomb. The words just rang in my head again and again. "Those strange men…no…that's not possible, not me…no…" I said quietly. I could hardly believe it. "I'm sorry." Said Meilluardo. "I-I promised your father I'd protect you…but I couldn't even protect you from a couple of thugs. I'm sorry Marissa, I'm sorry…" his voice trailed off. A few wet drops appeared on my sheets. At the sight of this, my heart began to melt, but a rage quickly came over me. "You're sorry? YOU'RE SORRY??!? I GOT RAPED AND ALL YOU CAN SAY IS THAT YOU'RE SORRY?! Get out Meilluardo. Get out…" I said. The rage boiled up in me. How dare he only say that he was "sorry"?! He was supposed to protect me. A great guy he is. "Alright Marissa. I'll leave. But I will always protect you…" He said calmly. He walked out without saying another word. After he left, I went back to sleep with a salty taste in my mouth. It was my tears.
The next day, I went for another walk. But this time I was ready. There was a blaster holstered beneath my jacket. I knew that there was no way to make this right, but at least I could prevent it from happening to other women. And it would give me some sort of satisfaction. I sat down at the same bench, and again, I fell asleep. When I woke, the same man was standing in front of me, with the same man behind me. But I was ready. I pulled out my blaster and pulled the trigger. The small man fell to the ground, a hole through his chest. The man behind me turned and tried to run. I aimed the blaster and pulled the trigger. He had a hole burned through his leg. The smell of burning flesh reached my nose and I vomited. I slowly walked back to the complex.
When I got back, everyone was relieved that nothing had happened to me, and when I was asked what had happened, I just told them that I went for a walk. I walked back to my quarters without much disturbance until I got to my quarters. Meilluardo was there, waiting for me. "Where have you been?" Meilluardo asked. "Out for a walk." I replied simply. "Out for more than a walk. Two bodies were found in the park tonight shortly after you came back. Each had a laser hole in them. Any ideas?" he asked suspiciously. "Nope." I said calmly. "Now could you please move? I'm tired and I want to sleep." I said to Meilluardo. "Fine. You are ordered to stay in your quarters until further notice. Any disobediance will not be tolerated. If you try to leave the compound without my direct consent, you will be removed from this project and sent home. Am I clear on this?" Meilluardo's words were solid. He wasn't joking. He was willing to send me home if I didn't follow orders. I leveled my blaster at Meilluardo's chest. "Take back that order, sir. Or I will be forced to shoot you." I said simply. "If that's the way you want it. Then by all means. Shoot me." He said defiantly. I watched his eyes. They didn't move from mine. We stood locked like this for a while, but nothing seemed to matter while we were like this. After a while, I slowly lowered the gun. Meilluardo walked towards me and took the gun from my hands. He looked deep into my eyes and quietly said "It looks like you don't need protecting anymore." He quietly walked down the hall and turned to the corner. I slunk into my room, astounded at what I had almost done. I had almost shot Meilluardo, just like I shot those two men in the park. At this thought, I quickly rushed to the toilet and vomitted again, the memory of burning flesh. After rinsing my mouth out, I went to into a deep, dreamless sleep…
Upon waking, I found a small note. It said:
Dear Marissa,
I loved your father very much, and I just want you to know that we both love you very much, and we both think of you all the time. We want you to know that we're both very proud of you. And no matter what happens, we'll always watch over you. Protect your friends, and keep them close. Please Marissa. Don't let your heart become hard.
Love always,
Mom and Dad

When I put down the note, I thought that this was some kind of joke. Why did it say "mom and dad" at the end? My mom's still alive…isn't she?! At the thought of this, I quickly ran out of the room and grabbed a newspaper from a table in the mess hall. The headline said "Woman dies by unknown causes". "At 8:00 pm last night, a woman by the name of Yuko Hono, the wife of Suzaki Hono, died of unknown causes. A call was phoned into police at around 9:15 by a neighbor…" I sunk to my knees in disbelief. "No…no..no…she can't be gone…no…" I began to break out into sobs again. My whole body began to shake, but I stopped because I was supported by something. It was a hand on my shoulder. It was Meilluardo's….

To be continued….
