He calls himself the God of Death

I call him my Angel of Death

And he calls to me

Perhaps it is because

He is the only one

Who sees the inner souls

Of the sad and lonely

Who believe their lives

Were not meant to be

Dreamers they may be…

…But dreams don't come true

Wish's they made on stars…

…Never to come true

But I see him, my Angel of Death

Appearing as though out of air

His beauty is flawless white

Like the chestnut of his hair

An eerie type of peace

I feel in my heart

As he comes nearer

It is a wide- eyed wonder

Yet I feel no fear

Perhaps my journey of life

Has finally found its end

This Angel of Death

He is my friend

Quite and darkness

And yet I see

A rainbow of beauty

Called tranquillity

And now I lay

Me down to sleep

In my slumber

I no longer weep

For the souls

I gave to him

For now I give my soul

To my Angel of Death

It is for love

I give my last breath

To have and to hold

And then to let go

A lesson of love

That I know now

Angel of Death

Take me home

It is there where my spirit

Is free to roam free

And my heart

Will find you again

My Angel of Death.
