As The Clock Tolls and Tears Are Freed

Chapter 7

"Hey, look, the tree's are in bloom!"

Naomi ran outside, jumping off the porch and over to one of the cherry blossom trees. "I haven't seen one of these for.. a long time."

She turned, looking at Heero as he walked over to her, taking her into his arms, and kissed her. She smiled, looking at him. "Isn't it good spring is here?"

"Yea."

She chuckled, looking at the street suddenly growing silent as a black car parked a few driveways away. Her body grew rigid and she shifted, moving away from Heero and walking back to the house.

"Naomi, what is it?"

She didn't say anything and pulled free when he grabbed her. "D.. don't! I.. I forgot something inside!"

"That's a lie.."

"Fine, look down the road and see for yourself!"

Heero averted his gaze to the street and it fell to the car. "It's just a car."
"Yea but the people in there are planning to kill me.. You see, they're the ones that had nearly killed me before!"

The six gazed through the window, watching the black car pull up in front of the house.

"Why are they after you, woman?"

Naomi looked at Wufei. "I don't know.. They just decided one day it's fun to chase around someone for no reason."

Duo looked at her, blinking. "Maybe they wanna.."

"Shut up before I shove that braid down your throat!"

"Maybe.. we can talk to them?"

"Talking won't work, Quatre.. Tried it and my consequence was that big gash across my side."

Trowa moved away from the window. "If you go out there their going to shoot at you.."

"How do you know?"

Heero and Naomi looked at Trowa, who had an amused grin on his lips. "I have my ways.."

Naomi walked towards the front door, when the others weren't aware of her absence from the living room. She opened the door and it squeaked. She heard Heero say something from the living room but he was talking to Duo and she sighed, stepping outside, shutting the door.

"She went outside.."

Duo looked at Trowa. "T.. then go after her!"

He went to look over to Heero but the seat was un taken and the front door slammed.

From the black car came two men, one looked about thirty and had sandy blond hair and the other was around twenty-six with dark blue hair. Both looked at Naomi as she walked towards them.

"L.. listen.. don't shoot at me, please.. I don't even know why the hell you following me around!"

"Hey, little lady, it took us this long to finally find you. You sure are good at hiding but we tracked you down."

She swallowed as the younger one walked towards her and she gripped her hands into fists, stepping back.

"Now, now, girl. You come with us and we'll.."

She glared at him, spitting in his face.

"That wasn't smart, girly.." He grabbed her by the arm but let go when a bullet hit him in the arm. "Damn.."

Naomi turned, looking towards the porch. "H.. Heero.." She turned, running towards the porch as the older man raised his gun, aiming for and pulled the trigger. He eyes widened and she fell forward, as the bullet hit her in the back.

She winced, in pain and went to stand, ignoring the pain, as she did another bullet hit her, this time right in her leg and she let out a cry of pain from how much it hurt. She felt tears sting at her eyes and escape, sliding down from her eyes and into the ground. "Ah.. it hurts.."

She heard two grunts of pain and thuds, she tried looking over her shoulder but she couldn't. She fell forward, onto the ground, all going black around her.
