"Betrayals Recovery"-Prologue

She just heard about it, and she didn't know what to think. 'He wouldn't do this to her, would he? No', she refused to believe it until she asked him or saw it with her own eyes: And that was precisely where she was headed now-to his house. She thought back to earlier today, this morning actually, when the phone rang, and the person she least expected to be calling her was on the other end.

*Flashback*

~ring-ring~

"Hello?" she had answered normally.

"Hey 'Lena" was the familiar, but sullen-like response she received.

"Trowa?!" she hadn't talked to him in about three weeks. She felt she had cause to avoid him lately, and that she did. She had, to her great distaste, missed him, very much too.

"Yeah, how've you been lately 'Lena?"

"Um the normal, "Been better could be worse" sort'a deal. You?" his voice was still a bit 'not-happy-ish', but it seemed to change a little, maybe slightly relieved? She wasn't exactly sure.

"I'm alright… …'Lena… D-uh…" She didn't know what he was trying to get out, but she was becoming uneasy about it. Trowa didn't speak much, but when he did, it was to the point- something was wrong.

"What is it Trowa?" She was starting to wonder if he and his girlfriend had broken up again. She gripped the phone tighter.

"Are you and Duo 'together'?" The question was unexpected, and she quirked an eyebrow.

"Well, we don't have the title, but we have an agreement, so it's, I'd say, a step above friends with benefits"

Trowa seemed to flinch with that, but only very slightly. "I see. So your saying you guys are going out, but with out the titles of 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend'?" Relena answered 'yeah' and Trowa went on, "So, if, by chance, Duo was fooling around with another girl, it could be equal to cheating." Again she answered 'yeah'. It took Trowa a few seconds to gather his thoughts, 'She deserves to know, doesn't she?' he took in a breath, let it out slowly, and said what he had called to say. "'Lena, I, uh, think, um…okay, 'Lena, Duo's been fooling around with one of the girls at wrestling practice" There, he said it.

All she could to was stutter. "…D…D-Duo w-what?" she stopped to regain her wits. "What are you telling me Trowa, explain"

"I was talking to Dorothy the other day, and she goes down there a lot. She said she saw Duo take a girl off to the side and they started making out. I ran into Heero later on and he asked me about you two. He said he saw the same thing happen two days before. Yesterday I saw for myself that they weren't lying, but only a glimpse of it. I would have thought it was you, but something about the girl, of what I saw, made me fairly sure it wasn't you." Relena thought about all he had said. She wasn't with Duo yesterday.

"Thank you Trowa. I appreciate you telling me. I'll talk to Duo soon" she hung up without a goodbye. She heard Trowa start to say something, but she didn't care to hear it. She knew what would be said. He would ask if she was alright; but then again, he didn't need an answer.

*End Flashback*

She was almost there. Now it was time to confront him.
