Between Three Souls-Chapter 6

"Hello, Mrs.Schbeiker." Mr. Crimack said as he heard her enter his spacious office.

"Hello, Mr. Crimack. You wanted to see me?" Hilde said, closing the door behind her.

"Yes, yes. I have a new project for you to work on and Mr. Winner is willing to help." He ran a hand through his short black hair and sorted through some documents, obviously pulling out the one he wanted since he let out an "ah."

Hilde nodded. "That's nice of him."

Mr. Crimack nodded as well. "Yes. Well here it is, you may read it in your office and discuss it later with Mr. Winner later if you like."

Hilde walked over and took the from his hands, then headed back to the door. "Good day, Mr. Crimack."

She then left his office as he waved his hand in reply.

Hilde blinked and opened the documents up as she entered her office. She shut the door behind her and sat down in her chair, reading it. It was a case for her to argue. Hilde sifted through the documents and she raised a brow when she came to the briefing part. It read:

Mrs. Schbeiker,

I would like you to argue the case of one of our clients, Dorothy Catalone. Her husband broke into her house and assaulted her, plus charges of beating, so I picked you to defend her since he set up a case against her. It will take a couple of days at the way her husband is battling, so you will be staying over at the Winner mansion till the case is decided and over.

Thank you, Hilde and I hope you will serve our client well.

Hilde sighed and put the document down. Guess it couldn't be all that bad, Hilde even bet that she would wrap up the case faster than they thought, this case would be an easy one cause her husband was totally at fault for what he did.

She smiled and rolled over to her computer, putting up her leave note in her voice mail and setting up her argument before she headed over to Quatre's.

Apparently, she would be staying at his house tonight since it was closer to the arranged court.

Oh, it wouldn't be that bad, so she took a sip of her bottled water and went to typing.

Later on, there was a knock on the door just as she was wrapping up her argument and putting it on disc to take with her to Quatre's.

"Come in." She said softly and took the disc from her computer before shutting it down.

Quatre stepped in ready to leave. "I see you're almost done, well, we'll head over your house to get your clothes before we head over mine."

Hilde nodded. "Thank you, Quatre."

"It's not a problem." He insisted and opened the door for her as she walked out.

He watched her put the note on her door and lock it then they headed out to his car.

Hilde and Quatre sat in his car as he drove over her house. "Hey, Hilde?"

Hilde hummed and looked over to him. "What is it, Quatre?"

He smiled lightly and kept his eyes on the road. "I'm having some old pals over while you're at my house. I hope you don't mind, they're aren't too rowdy."

Hilde nodded and looked out the window next to her in the passenger seat. "Who all are they?"

Quatre turned on the signal light before continuing. "Well Duo is coming since he did fight in the war back then and well you know." He looked to Hilde who seemed to slightly frown. "And then my friend Trowa Barton is coming." Hilde smiled and looked to him.

"Isn't he the one who hit me?" She laughed.

Quatre laughed as well. "Yes and I also heard you two are good friends now."

Hilde nodded. "Yeah, he came over to talk about insurance and we just ended up having a long conversation, that's all."

Quatre smiled and nodded. "Well, yes, he is coming and then I would've had Heero come but he is.."

"..on his honeymoon with Mrs. Relena." Hilde finished for him.

Quatre nodded his head again. "True, but he is coming over in two days time, so technically he is coming over."

Hilde grinned. "That would be nice, I have been wanting to meet him, along with Relena."

Quatre parked the car in her apartment lot and they both got out.

"Yes and I'm sure Mrs. Relena will be of some help with our case if it is not over then, Dorothy Catalone is her cousin you know?"

Hilde blinked and looked to him as they went up the stairs. "She is?"

Quatre nodded.

"Oh." Hilde tilted her head to the side. "Well that is good for my side, thank you for telling me that."

Quatre laughed lightly. "Your welcome."

"So who else is coming?" Hilde asked as she took out her keys and unlocked her apartment door.

"I was having Wufei Chang come over.."

"That famous preventor? Isn't his wife Mrs. Po?" Hilde had a surprised look on her face as she headed into her room, but he stayed in the living room.

"Yes all that's true, but he won't be coming for two weeks." Quatre said, raising his voice just enough for her to hear him where he was.

"Oh, well be sure to invite me over then." Hilde laughed from her room and there was some rummaging in what sounded like her closet. "I'm just kidding, you can invite me only if you want to."

Quatre grinned. "I'd be more than happy too."

"Well thank you, Mr. Winner."

"My pleasure, Mrs. Schbeiker." He smiled, messing with some of his bangs. "Well, besides that, no one else is coming from then. Well, only my Uncle, but that's not for another month."

Hilde laughed shortly. "Well be sure to invite me then too."

"Alright." He smiled, putting his hands in his pockets.

"You're too kind, Quatre. Too kind." Hilde smiled, coming from her room with a full suitcase.

"Well, that was fast." Quatre blinked.

Hilde giggled. "Well I didn't want to keep you waiting."

Quatre walked over and took her bag for her. "Now who's too kind?"

"Oh, hush." Hilde smiled, gently nudging him.

He grinned and went out the door, down to the car while she locked her door, and then followed for the twenty mile drive to his house.
