Chocolate…interrupted

Wufei didn't bother going back upstairs, his studies had already been interrupted; first by Duo, then by Quatre. It sounded like Quatre had been rearranging the furniture in his room, and since Quatre and Wufei shared a wall between them, Wufei could here all the thumping about.

Briefly, Wufei considered asking Quatre if he needed help, but he could have sworn he heard Trowa go in Quatres' room earlier. They should be able to accomplish the task, just the two of them. They sure weren't bothering to be very careful though, from the sound of it.

At any rate, it was much too loud for any real concentration. Being well past the noon hour, Wufei decided to retreat to the kitchen.

He wasn't particularly hungry for lunch, but maybe small snack. The refrigerator was well stocked, but there really wasn't anything Wufei found that peaked his interest. On the counter he found a jar of butterscotch. To sweet for Wufeis' taste, but that did give him an inkling of what he wanted. He left the jar on the counter where he found it and went to the walk in pantry.

There was something that Wufei had that he kept a complete secret from the other pilots. He didn't like ice cream, and found most candies to be to sweet, the sugar making his mouth numb. He wasn't fond of cakes or frosting, though he did have the occasional donut. There was one thing, though, that always made his mouth water.

He rummaged through cans and boxes, moving things from one shelf to another, the craving growing even as he looked. If he could just find that one thing, the one indulgence he allowed for when no one was looking… Aha!!! Half a bar, hidden behind the baking soda. Semi sweet chocolate. Probably left over from someones baking project, but Wufei didn't care. It was all his now.

Most chocolates had too much sugar, were to creamy or just didn't have the right texture, but semi sweet chocolate had just the right amount of bitter with the sweet, and melted in your mouth just so. Wufei smiled to himself, knowing what a treasure he'd found.

But what to do with it now. He could take it back upstairs, but he couldn't very well enjoy his prize with all the racket those two were making upstairs. He couldn't take it outside, being over a hundred degrees, it would melt his precious treasure before he could fully enjoy it, that and he might possibly run into Duo. No, Wufei decided he would eat it right there in the sanctity of the pantry. And he wouldn't leave until he was done.

He unwrapped the bar almost reverently and broke off a square. He put it on his tongue and waited for it to melt. Not to fast, not to slow, tasting the sweet and then the bitter mixed perfectly so. Wufei savored the taste, not chewing or sucking but rubbing the chocolate against the roof of his mouth to make it last.

After the first piece he started breaking the squares in half. Leaning against the shelves with his eyes closed, thoroughly indulging himself in his wicked pleasure.

So involved was he that he didn't hear anyone come down the stairs, or enter the kitchen, but he certainly heard the loud thump against the counter and the low throaty growl that followed.

Wufei panicked for a moment, not wanting to be caught hiding in the pantry nibbling chocolate. Duo would tease him endlessly. Quatre wouldn't think twice about offering him chocolate anywhere they went, letting Wufeis' secret out for all to be known. Trowa would just give one of those Trowa looks that Wufei, hell, probably no one, knew what the he meant by them and Heero would know Wufeis' one true weakness. He was sure later he would think himself very silly, but his love affair with chocolate was his secret alone and he meant to keep it.

It didn't matter to the other occupants in the kitchen, however, they were far to busy to look in the pantry. Wufei hadn't closed the door all the way and while he couldn't see the entire kitchen, he had a pretty good view of the counter area. He really wished he did not.

`Good! There's more.'

`You left it out. Naughty.'

`I'll show you naughty.'

Good God! That's Quatres' ass! On the kitchen counter. Wufei could see Quatres' ass. Not on his list of things he thought he'd see in the kitchen. Also not on that list, Trowas buck naked rear. Not that those things were entirely unpleasant to see, but they were there, in the kitchen, not four feet away from where Wufei stood (hid), trying very hard not to spontaneously combust.

Quatre was sitting on the counter, Trowas arms wrapped around Quatres torso, mouths pressed together like they were sucking the life out of each other. And hands…everywhere.

His friends were naked, in the kitchen and doing things….and he was watching. And his chocolate was melting.

Wufei made a note not to eat anything prepared on that counter; for sanitary reasons.

`We can't do this here. Someone could walk in any minute.'

`Where's your sense of adventure?'
`Bring the butterscotch and I'll show you.'

Wufeis sense of relief at hearing the two retreat upstairs was cut short when he heard the back door open. Two sets of footsteps made their way across the kitchen.

`Yuy! Get back here.' He could hear Duo voice, but it was Heero he could see from his vantage point, getting a spoon from the drawer. He was holding a pint of ice cream. Wufei would have bet is was vanilla.

`You have to share.' Heero said, sounding like patient parent.

`No way buddy. Its mine. You stole my ice cream. That one belongs to me.'

Wufei could see Duo now. The latter still hadn't taken a shower yet and was dripping wet, hair frazzled and he looked wicked pissed waving a wrench around.

Heero held his ground. `Share.'

`What am I, four years old? There's no way...'

Heero leaned forward and shut up his friend by pressing his lips to Duos. There was moaning and tongues were involved. The wrench that was in Duos hand clattered onto the kitchen floor. Wufei waited for the two to come up for air. And waited. And waited. He started to worry about the very real possibility of brain damage from the lack of oxygen.

Heero pulled back from the kiss, looking a little dazed and a lot smug. `When you're ready to share….' And with that, Heero walked out of the kitchen leaving a completely stunned, wide eyed Duo in his wake.

After a moment Duo got his wits back, or most of them anyway.

`Hey! You can't….you can't just kiss a guy like that and walk away. Do you hear me Yuy…get back here….'

Duo followed Heero out the kitchen door. Wufei stood in the kitchen pantry with his now melted chocolate and wondered what in the world had come over his friends. The war. Yes, war could do funny things to people. Teenage hormones. That could be a big factor. Yes, Wufei could feel that one. Definitely a big factor he thought, uncomfortably.

Cautiously Wufei left the pantry, making sure no one was about. He put the rest of the chocolate in the refrigerator, but realizing that even if the chocolate solidified again, it wouldn't not taste that same. It tended to turn white and the texture would be altogether different if he ate it later. He would have to get more.

Luckily, Heero left the keys to the car on the counter. Wufei picked them up, careful not to touch the counter until it was disinfected and started making a mental note of things to buy from the store. It would have to be a long trip. There was no way he was walking back into the house for a while. A long while by the sound of things; both down the hall and upstairs.

Earplugs. Yes, a good pair of earplugs would be nice. Chocolate. Some heavenly semi- sweet chocolate to ease his craving. One of them, anyway. Bleach. Lots of bleach. And bottled water. Something must be terribly wrong with the tap water around here. Tea…tea to calm his nerves. A good book. A good long book….

Wufei also planned to find a nice quiet place where he could eat his chocolate, alone and uninterrupted.
