Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Completely Oblivious ❯ Chapter 1

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

“A sword…” A young Naruto, about the age of seven, thought aloud. He quickly twirled the sword he held in his hand gracefully. He flipped it around with a simple flick of the wrist as though he had been doing it most of his life, and in truth he had. He had an unnatural talent for kenjutsu; his skill with it surpassed any he had ever had. It wasn't saying much though, his other skills were crap. His skill with swords was the only thing he had and even that was awful. Sometimes he contemplated killing himself with the only thing he had in his life. It was a little ironic when he thought about it. At the academy he couldn't keep up with anything; his grades were pitiful, his physical strength was lacking, he could barely even ask a question about how something works. It wasn't his fault he couldn't understand things, but the kids didn't care they flew off the handle saying, “Naruto you are such a baka!” or “I can't believe how weak you are.” As well as “Can't even keep up…no wonder you haven't passed three times in a row. You can't even do a bunshin or kawarmi.” Naruto didn't have the slightest chance at that stuff, they never even taught him anything. At the beginning of his first year he had a notebook where he wrote down everything in class word for word. On the second day someone stole it, when he went to look for it he saw it burning to a crisp with no one in sight he tried to put it out with his bare hands but after it stopped burning it was too burnt to use and he went home with totally burnt hands. “Stupid kids…think they're so big and tough just because they bully me. They think that they can do whatever they want just because they're stronger than me. Bullying me probably just makes them feel better.” Naruto flipped the blade again; he loved watching the majesty of it glinting off the light. It slipped. It slipped from his hand and cut him across the arm leaving a good slash along the wrist and backhand. He watched as it fell to the floor along with at least a pint of blood. He watched the blood as he clenched his hand in pain. He hated life…just the thought of the rest of his miserable life put him down. He watched as the cut healed right before his eyes; it seemed to hiss at the blood that was being displayed on his arm. It hissed out steam trying to ward off the cut. He got up and kicked the sword under his bed. He didn't want to see that which held so much of his blood on it; it reminded him too much of the pain he feels. He walked out the door and locked it; it did not matter though he would always hate it there. With one final sigh he walked down the street toward the academy.

As he walked through the seemingly endless roads of Konoha he passed by many hateful stares; walking through he could see the terror and hate in their eyes. They were all the same, every single fucking one of them. `Those stupid people are what is keeping me from having a normal life; them and the stupid fox that is held within me.' He walked for what seemed like hours; finally he reached his destination, yet he did not want to go. He felt as though if he were to disappear right now that no one would concern themselves with it; it would be as though he never existed and that no one would give him a second thought, probably not even a first either. He saw that he was early like always; he walked for what seemed like forever and yet only a few minutes had past. A dreadful thing if you think about it. Naruto hates his life and he has to endure hours of hate within a few minutes, it was as though time stops just for him to feel hatred. He hated seeing himself or feeling himself suffer and yet it seemed as though his compassion for others seemed to override that pain.

Sakura could feel their presence lurking in the air. She could feel the smirk pointed at her and soon she would hear the snickers and words expressing their hateful ambitions to make her hurt; make her cry; make her feel like no one is as bad off as her. She soon let out a sob as she hugged her knees tighter to her chest and buried head so far down that she could actually feel her lap with her nose. It was sort of a defense mechanism; making it so that she could easily block out the sounds that attacked her; maybe not physically but mentally. Sometimes this unnatural flexibility garnered immature remarks. Even though she was only seven she had accumulated a massive amount of information about both sexes from her classmates; where they got this information from was beyond her but she was sure that these stupid thoughts that she was having at this very moment were somehow planed by the girls as another mental attack on herself being. She let out another sob that seemed to come out right after the first even though minutes had seemed to pass within those few seconds. So it began with the insults then the occasional hair pull and finally the kicking of dust or sand into her hair. She thought her hair was nice; short and pink, what could be better than having your hair colour be your favorite? Well it sucked. She hated her hair now; this unnatural colour just gave the other girls more reason to hurt her. She hated life and everything in it.

Naruto heard the sobs that seemed to originate from a black slump with pink fuzz on top of it. He quickly realized what that was…or should he say who. He soon heard the belittling remarks directed to his crying classmate. Her name is Haruno Sakura; she usually didn't defend herself when faced with belittling remarks such as the ones flying toward her. She wore black or blue pants and a black shirt; these garments left nearly everything to the imagination, not even hinting what could be under them. The sleeves were just barley long enough to cover her forearms, and the pants seemed to always be dark as if trying to hide herself. Naruto didn't get it…why were dark colours with pink hair? Naruto just shrugged it off, it must have been something he couldn't understand, but that was a given for him. As he approached the gaggle of girls he could make out some of the insults that were flying in all directions…though the one that really ticked him off was the newest one that escape the confines of some snotty, rustic yellow haired girl that was obviously the leader, even with Naruto's slowness. “Stupid cry-baby you're as bad as that baka with the stupid lined cheeks.” That ticked Naruto off so much he couldn't even feel the fingers that he had probably broken squeezing his hands so tight. Before he knew what he was doing he was pelting rocks at the girls; seething with anger he threw a larger one and near decapitated the young Sakura; she was smart enough to know when to duck thankfully. When all the other girls were gone and Naruto stopped seething with, what seemed like anger with a hint of jealousy, what he was jealous over we may never know; he quickly regained composure and stopped to try and help Sakura up.
“Hi…are you okay?” Naruto said a little embarrassed at his performance. Before Sakura could respond se was scooped up by her mom.
“Sakura, honey what have I told you about that little boy?” Sakura's mother asked her walking in a quickening pace away from the blonde.
“But mommy…he saved me from being bullied. Why can't I play with him?” Sakura asked trying to wave back at him but her mother keeping her at bay by pushing it down when she reached up.
“Because Sakura he's a monster! He'll try to befriend you and then hurt you even more than every one of those bullies put together ten-fold.” Her mother said trying to scrub her young offspring's mind clean of the idea of friendship between her and that so called `monster.'
“But he doesn't seem like a monster…don't monsters have big icky horns, gooey skin and multiple tails that scoop up people and sprinkle them with spiders and then eat them?” Her mother couldn't help chuckling at her daughter's idea of a monster as well as her appropriate hand and arm gestures. She had her arms above her head and her hands facing the opposite way and wiggling her fingers like spiders; Sakura was configuring her mouth making it look as though she had fangs.
“Well he can shape shift and destroy anything that would seem to connect him to being a monster.”
“Oh, I see, so he's like daddy.” Sakura said giggling through the whole sentence.
“Yeah like daddy.” She giggled too.

Naruto hated it; first he saved Sakura from being bullied any more when her dang mother had to grab her and pull her away. He could still hear the women telling her daughter that he was a monster. They always did that; at least she tried to wave goodbye, but the women didn't even let her do that. I guess as long as she was taking away her daughter from the `demon' the teacher wouldn't worry about her not going to the academy today. Naruto heard the bell toll and all the children scamper inside before the second tolled.

He could sense that Iruka-sensei was getting angry after ten minutes after the second bell rang; partly because he could sense the temperature drop about twenty degrees in the academy. Naruto would gladly have gone to class after the first toll of the retched bell that seemed to go off earlier than promised whenever Naruto had to do something; right now he standing in front of one of the urinals using it's primal function…going to the bathroom. He quickly zipped up after he excreted the last of his urine, and immediately regretted it. He found himself doubled over in pain; his `family jewels' firmly wedged in hi zipper. `OH MY GOD, I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST CAUGHT MY FREAKING NUTS IN MY ZIPPER!' After some time of lip biting and the realization that he'd probably be pissing out blood for a week; he finally got them unstuck. If he had pulled up any harder he probably would have been neutered. Ouch; now this is the part where Naruto would probably really pissed; one problem though; he never did finish pissing; he was in to much of a rush to get to class. `I just realized why my pants are wet. I hate you Kyuubi.' Kyuubi's probably like, `What the fucking hell did I do?' but Naruto didn't hear or care if he actually said anything. `Ok…think, how do I make it not look like I pissed my pants? Suddenly he got the best idea; he started to undress and then jumped out the window with his cloths.

Naruto raced down the street stark naked; he did this for one and only one reason. He really liked the feel of the wind; soon he was passing people who didn't even glance at him. They ignored the fact that he was nude; that in fact was what Naruto was hoping for. His stupid plan that seemed would fail horribly could not have gone better. Who says he has bad luck? `This feels so freaking good.' Naruto thought slipping down a slanted roof onto his window-sill of the open window. He kept open for reasons such as this. He slipped in and bolted to his shower; he started it and jumped up and down until the water was just right. For some reason he was had the extreme need to keep moving. It wasn't that he had to go piss again; it was more I need to move or this built up energy will explode. Naruto has been extremely agile for years but he could only do it when he wasn't trying; if he tried he would mess up because he would confuse things like going low and bolting back with falling and then he would try to guard his body when he hit the ground. It really didn't help at all.

He stopped the water and stepped out of the shower and dried himself. Of course since he was only seven he had to use a step stool to reach the mirror height. He brushed his teeth, combed his hair and then messed it up for pure fun, and put on clean boxers. He ran around his apartment for hours just to get rid of the extra energy. He eventually started training; even though it seemed pointless, he kept to it and he believed that hard work beat any talented person. Soon he would finally beat that apathetic prick Sasuke and prove that he wasn't the stupidest or the weakest. He would be the best there was. “I WILL BECOME THE BEST HOKAGE EVER! BELIEVE IT!” Naruto yelled out loud. He did multiple back flips and landed them perfectly; again he did this without thinking so he could. If he thought about it his brain would interfere and mess him up. Soon his stomach growled and he raced off to the kitchen; he opened a cupboard and to took out some snacks. Hey he didn't always eat ramen, it was his favorite food not his only; he had plenty of other healthful groceries and he intended to eat healthful. Luckily for Naruto there was one store beside Ichiraku's that actually gave him food; the person who owned it let him take anything from there as long as he could pay; though he always got a discount since he never really got that much money. Well he ate to his hearts content, well to his stomachs; if he went by his hearts he wouldn't be able to afford enough food. He ate four apples, an orange, and four packs of crackers. He didn't eat much though since he wasn't that hungry. His jubilant behavior always ended the day; no matter how sad he is at the beginning of the day he'll always become happy. Why this happened is a mystery to him; and everyone that he knew.

Naruto alarm had been going off for about an hour now; problem was Naruto had forgotten how to shut it off. Just another one of those days for Naruto. He picked it up unplugged it; it was still beeping. He quickly took out the batteries. Still beeping; Naruto had enough; he chucked it out the window. When he turned around he saw that the clock was back in its original place; plugged in and the batteries that were on the floor gone, probably back in and the clock not damaged in the least. `EVIL DEMON CLOCK!'
“Heh, having fun?”
`So he finally speaks. I have no time to talk; I have to find a way to destroy this clock of pure evil!' To Naruto's horror…it was still BEEPING! “How dare you defy me clock? I command you to stop beeping…listen to your future hokage!”
“Hey dumb-fuck…clocks can't hear, see, smell, talk, or anything that any human or demon can.”
`I know that…I uh was just…uh…' Naruto couldn't lie about that. He was thinking a moment ago that the clock could listen.
“You were being a moronic baka…and I bet you have no idea that those are synonyms do you.”
Silence
Naruto seriously wanted to punch Kyuubi…if only that were possible. Turning his attention back to the beeping clock he got an idea; rare as that is, he had one…he quickly grabbed his sword from under his bed and started striking out at the clock. Every swing did nothing to the clock, Naruto then tried something desperately stupid; Naruto picked up the clock, slammed it down onto the floor and started jumping up and down on it. “Die you damn clock, I will kill you!”
“Clocks aren't alive, they can't be killed you baka.” As far as Naruto could tell Kyuubi was very amused at his current situation. “Just a thought, but what if you slide the on/off switch to off on the stupid clock?”

Naruto ran all the way to the academy not stopping once much to his displeasure; Naruto had forgotten to eat after his `kill the clock!' incident. He passed by at least three-hundred twenty people on his way. He splashed into a huge puddle only about three inches deep but about thirty-two feet around. It had obviously rained last night; Naruto probably slept through it. He slept through the beeping clock for about twenty-six minutes; after making his way through the puddle he began to pick up speed; the water not slowing him down anymore, he seemed to be running faster than before, though he never knew. It seemed like forever before he got to the academy; luckily he got there with about ten minutes `till class started. He quickly looked around and found that pink haired girl fiddling with some grass near a couple of trees hoping to be less noticeable. When he finally got in front of her she was already trying to get away. “Hi there…what's wrong?” Naruto asked grabbing her arm.
“My…my mommy told me not to speak to you…so could you please let me go?”
“Oh…sorry…” Naruto let go of her and sulked away. Sakura caught up with him this time.
“Are you okay?” Sakura asked trying to look at his face.
“I thought you weren't supposed to talk to me...”
“Well I'm not but…but, you don't seem like a monster.” Sakura said walking with him toward the academy.
“I'm not…I'm well I'm…” Naruto didn't finish.
“You're what?” Sakura asked gently.
“I'm sort of a demon…” Sakura backed away a little but still followed.
“Are demons…worse…worse than monsters?” Sakura asked a small stutter in her voice.
“Well some are but…well I'm not…monsters are different, they can only be bad. Demons can be good or bad.”
“Oh…so you're a good demon?”
“Well I think so, but some people don't think so.”
“Why not?” Sakura ask inching closer to him with every step.
“Well…can I tell you later class is starting?” Naruto asked getting nervous since Sakura was so close.
“Sure…”
“Sakura could you…um not be so close?” Naruto asked his cheeks flushed since she was cheek to cheek with him. Sakura immediately jumped away in embarrassment.
“S-s-sorry.”

Once inside their classroom Sakura ran over to one of the only two seats left while Naruto looked at the last remaining one. As he started to walk up to it he noticed that the girl sitting there looked very nervous. `Hmm…maybe she farted and doesn't want anyone to know?'
“Only you would ever even consider that.”
`Hmm…that can't be right, girls don't fart.'
“My god you're a moron. Are you mentally retarded?” When Naruto got up to the seat he sat down looked at her.
“Hi,” Naruto said in a low whisper, “who're you?” The girl looked as though she was going to faint.
`H-he's t-talk-king-t-t-to me!' Hinata thought. “My n-names Hy-Hyu-Hyuuga Hin-Hinata.” She finally got out.
“Hi Hinata-chan…”
“NARUTO ARE YOU LISTENING?” Iruka asked and yelled at the time.
“Not really, sorry Iruka-sensei.” Naruto said feeling genuinely guilty.

“Now that is the history of the second hokage…” The lunch bell rang just as Naruto's stomach growled. “…well class, lunch break. Afterwards we're going to start on the third hokage.”
“Well at least I don't have to learn again until after lunch. My brain hurts.” Naruto said faking a migraine while Hinata giggled.
“Too easy, kit…too easy.”
“Hey Hinata-chan want to have lunch together?” Hinata blushed but nodded. Just as they got their food Sakura came running up.
“Hey Naruto want to have lunch together?” Sakura asked waving at Hinata behind him.
“Sure…” Hinata felt sad…Naruto had chosen Sakura over her even after he had agreed; he had even asked her to have lunch together. “…as long as Hinata-chan can come. I told her I would have lunch with her too.”
“Sure, she can come too Naruto.” Sakura said seeing Hinata's relief at the statement. “I've already found us a table.” Naruto raced off while Sakura and Hinata followed at a steady pace.

The `end of lunch' bell rang just as Hinata and Sakura had finished their lunches; Naruto being, well Naruto; was a mile ahead of them. He had finished his lunch in record time and was racing back towards the classroom.
“Hurry up slowpokes!” could be heard from all around.

(Omake)
The rest of the year went by without incident; Sakura's mom had finally started to soften up towards Naruto though she did give him the occasionally hate glare. Sakura and Hinata were basically the only friends Naruto had; Naruto would eventually get smarter and stronger because of it, though that won't be for some time, for now he was still the weak and obnoxious baka that Sakura and Hinata had grown to accept. All was well until one fateful day near Sakura's house.

Naruto was just about to knock on Sakura's door when he felt a hand on his shoulder; he quickly spun around and was hit in the face with the blunt side of a kunai. Naruto fell to the ground; blood shooting from his broken nose. “What the…” Naruto was cut off by a kunai being lodged into his chest. Naruto let out a shrill cry right before the mysterious person covered his mouth. He banged Naruto head against the ground knocking him unconscious. Naruto's blood poured from his head, chest, and nose. The assaulter quickly vanished along with the unconscious Naruto.

Naruto woke up in a dark room, light barely making its way through a small crack in the wall. The small crack seemed to widen until the whole place was illuminated in light; Naruto had to squint until his eyes adjusted to the light. Once he could see, he noticed that the crack was from a large door that apparently didn't close correctly, the walls were draped with black cloth and three people stood in the doorway. When he tried to attack he found that he was chained to the floor.
“What should we do with him?” One of the mysterious people in black cloaks asked.
“We shall figure it out later Hian.” Another said sounding about seventy years of age.
“When Miati?” The first figure asked in a definite girl's voice.
“When the drug starts to take affect, until then we will wait.” The door slammed shut after that; Naruto started to shake; his vision began to blur and his left arm went numb. He started to hear strange voices in his head before finally blacking out.

Voices of different magnitudes and tones filled his thoughts; the unknown voices tormented his dreams that first day of torture. The girl known as Hian tormented his dreams more than any other. Her demonic presence disturbed Kyuubi to the extent that he wouldn't let her near Naruto. He'd take total control and lunge at her throat, but his control would fade too quickly for him to kill her. He could see her face in his dreams and she was pretty beautiful; her shoulder length hair was a dark blue in colour and her eyes were a beautiful vibrant blue colour, but demonic none the less.

Another reoccurring face was small, with wide, vibrant, blue eyes. His hair was blood red, but the most defining trait about him, was the three whisker marks of either side of his face. Naruto knew who he was, but couldn't recall his name. It was as though they had known each other for their whole lives, but couldn't remember each other. It was confusing and to top it all off Hian had come in again, he had somehow memorized the sound of her foot steps. His dream was not a dream because he was conscious of everything around him; he could hear, see, and smell every little thing in the room. Hian approached, in two long strides she covered the distance between them. She bent down and with syringe in hand, jabbed into his neck; everything went blurry for a moment and then finally, Naruto passed out, to be left alone for a good long while.

Who the hell is Hian????????
(Author's Notes)
I don't really care if you like it or hate it…please be honest and review as to what you think of it. I will try and update this story along with my other regularly. Please try not to badger me about being late. Other than that I don't really care if you flame me; I don't love it per say but I can live with it. Constructive criticism is something I love; it allows me to go back and make my stories better. Note-constructive criticism is way different from flames okay. Praise…I like it but I don't need it.
If you want me to hurry, give me a few ideas that I can work with. Most likely I don't know what to write at that certain time.
(Disclaimer)
I don't own anything from Naruto.
