The love struck mortal's body stiffened as he found himself being pressed against the wall, his neck being painfully pulled to one side leaving the other side stretched and vulnerable to the vampire who was lording over him, rubbing his nose slightly up and down the length of his neck breathing in the sent of human blood.
Sensing imminent death was near Heero relaxed his posture and closed his dark blue eyes. Not a sound escaped him even upon feeling the initial prick of razor blade fangs sinking into his artery. There was no fear in him, instead he found himself inviting the final closure of his days. For with the end his life would come the end of his aching heart that in the last two days had been screaming out for Relena until it had become painfully raw.
"It appears we have found him to late." Wufei's words sunk into Relena's mind, as did what she was seeing before her, Trowa gently laying down Heero's limp body in the back of the alley.
"No! He was mine to kill! Not yours! You had no right to him!" She cried out as she attacked Trowa, punching him in the jaw so hard that he flew a good few feet in the air stopping only when his body smashed against the wall. He crumpled to the ground, but was only there momentarily before pulling himself back to his feet.
He looked at her, wiping the trace of blood from his lip, noticing it was his own. "Cut the charade Lena. We both know you would never have been able to kill him. You're to much in love with him."
"How dare you claim to know what's in my heart." She spoke, hoping that the crack she heard in her voice was just her imagination. She made no attempt to move away as Trowa approached her.
He brought his fingertips to the side of her forehead and smoothed them slowly down the length of her face. His voice was a whisper. "We know each other to well to continue these games and lies princess. It is time we faced the truth about ourselves, and how weak we really are when it comes to loving others."
She turned her face and looked up at him, his hand was holding her chin and she cupped her palm over it throwing it off of her. "Even if I admit the truth, it is to late, you have killed him."
His lips ghosted a smile. "Did I?"
He took a step to walk away from her but she grabbed his arm and spun him around to face her. "You mean...?"
He placed an index finger over her lips quieting her. "Ages ago you looked into me, saw my heart's real desire and gave me one you knew I could truly love for eternity. Today, I have returned the favor and given you the same."
"Trowa." She mouthed the name but was unsure if she had actually spoken it.
This time his smile was more real and he leaned over, brushing his lips against hers. "It is long past time we went our separate ways, my love, good-bye. Perhaps we will see each other again, someday."
"Someday." The word came out of a small smile of her own; she turned from him then and knelt down beside Heero, taking him in her arms. "Don't worry Trowa," she whispered so only she herself could hear, "it will be a gift that I will treasure forever."

For some reason that he couldn't explain Quatre stepped inside of a small jewelry store. He looked down at the glistening gems securely encased inside of their glass coffins. He laughed at himself thinking of the word coffin. A white studded marquis cut set in white gold caught his eye. An engagement ring, funny, he thought, I've not anyone I even remotely would want to give it to. He wondered if there ever would be. He decided no. The two humans he had just dealt with were in love before their transformations. It was has his father said true love could not exist in the world of the undead.
But, though he would never outwardly admit it part of him still held a doubt about his late father's words. Had it been jealousy that had let him release the young couple...or had it been the softer side of himself that he had tried most of his life to deny existed. He decided to surrender to the truth, that it had been that latter; there love was too innocent and pure and he could not bring himself to taint it. Plus, there had been the fact that it had brought up the feeling, that his own existence was empty and meaningless.
What was he thinking? He was a prince, and no ordinary one at that. He was a prince gifted with immortal life and powers beyond that of mortal comprehension. He needed no one to love. He laughed at himself yet again. Denial, vampires seemed good at that.
"May I help you sir?"
"Huh?" He looked up, into a pair of violet blue eyes that were smiling at him. They sparkled as beautifully as any of the gems. A strange feeling stirred in his gut and his chest felt somewhat constricted. Interesting, he thought, it had been her energy that had drew him into the shop, an energy that had beckoned him to come to it as if it were calling it home. Could it be? He wondered, hoping it was and that all of the things he had believed would soon be proven false. He flashed his dashing smile and readied his masculine charms.
"Yes, you can, miss, but first, may I ask you name?"
The young girl blushed, tossing back a few strands of her reddish brown curls. "Oh, my name is Catherine, Catherine Bloom."

"You ready to go?"
"Yea, babe. I left a note explaining everything to Heero, well, not everything." Duo slammed closed the trunk of his car. "I just pray he doesn't hate me for abandoning him this way, with the business and all."
Hildie took her husband's hand as they stepped to the passenger side door. "I'm sure he'll understand your need to get away, after all, I was supposed to be dead by now."
"He cupped her cheek and tilted her head and kissed her brow. "Thank goodness for sex starved vampires, huh?"
"Duo." Hildie guffawed, slapping his chest lightly. "Well, I guess it's a good sign that your sense of humor is coming back. Though if it's all the same to you I'd rather not ever think of it again." She closed her car door and looked over as Duo slid into the driver seat.
"Well, I think starting over in a different colony will be good for us, ya know? Someplace no one knows us and all that shit." He started the car and pulled out or the driveway.
Hildie took his hand again and squeezed it assuredly. "Yea, it will be, Duo, it will be."

Wufei, his hands still encased inside his jacket pockets accepted the strong arm of his male lover, nestling against his shoulder as he walked beside him down the street "Where is it you think we should go?"
"I've no idea, we can go anywhere, as long as it's not earth, that sun can be a killer you know." He stopped walking then and turned to face his Asian mate, taking his hands in his. "I do hope you believe me when I tell you that, wherever I go I want you to be there to share it with me. I love you.
Wufei shook his head slightly, for the first time he found himself feeling secure about Trowa's feelings for him. "Yes, I know that now. I'm ashamed I ever questioned them, though I never will again for I love you too."
They fell into the moment silently and came together their lips meeting as they kissed one another passionately, and in a way only lovers can.

Heero felt his naked body fighting to stir itself into movement as he slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was his hand lying beside him on a pillow, the next thing he saw was another hand atop it and that hand belonging to one who had the most beautiful of eyes he had ever seen. "You?"
"Yes, me. Are you disappointed?"
"N...no, not at all...I just thought I was..."
He found his words being swallowed by her as she deeply kissed him pressing her own nude body to his. After several seconds she broke away but did not move her face from his. "You are very much alive Heero, and, I wanted to let you know, that, I..." She found herself unable to speak the words. Her lashes fluttered as she averted her gaze and began to rise off of him.
But he wouldn't allow her departure and he pulled her back down, rolling over and pinning her underneath his now stronger and more powerful body. "You don't have to speak the words Relena, for I've always known it, even more so now. I know they will come in time and until then, if you just stay by my side forever then I will never doubt how you feel about me."
He kissed her then, tenderly, wantonly, she accepted it and returned it as well. His lips left hers and began a trail of explorations down her neck and body, but she shoved him gently away. "Heero, we must get you up. You're first hunger will set in within the hour and it must be fed."
"But my body only hungers for you, Relena, and it wishes to feed."
Relena caught her breath not only hearing his words but also feeling his sex that had been nestled at the side of her thigh glide down slightly before being slid back up with a rush of lust driven adrenaline; it sheathed itself quickly and deeply inside her.
She moaned and clung to Heero as he drove himself into her again and again, carried by his carnal needs and the desire to bring her the ultimate of all pleasures.
They encouraged each other to completion with words and sounds and hands and hips. She felt herself begin to tighten around his member, her inner walls growing slicker with each movement. He felt her muscles squeezing him tightly as she was becoming more wet. "I love you Relena." He whispered against her lips as he frantically kissed. "I love you."
"Heero, oh, Heero, I...ah! Heero!" She felt his sharp pointed fangs slash into her throat and felt her blood being sucked through the gashes where it left her body to enter into that of his. Hunger took over her as well and she sunk her own fangs into his neck and began to drink of him.
A new kind of sense heightening pleasure coursed through Heero's body and he relished it, fed of it and accepted it. It brought him to his climax and he thrust a final time into her, pushing past her cervix flooding deep within her his seed. She squirmed beneath him milking every drop, pulling it into her body even deeper.
They both trembled slightly as their bodies calmed, returning to normal. He stayed atop her, and she cradled his head against her chest wanting to cry when she heard him once again declare his love for her.
She breathed a sigh, feeling complete for the first time in her existence. She had truly found her life mate. It was then she spoke the words, she though she never would. "I love you, Heero."

Lucrenzia walked over to her husband who was sitting at the small glass table that adorned their balcony. She tilted her head noticing his eyes were closed, though not in sleep but in peaceful contentment. It was a look she had not seen in her husband for decades. She slipped into his lap and reached up to brush her fingers lightly through his white gold bangs.
Milliardo Peacecraft opened his clear as blue ice eyes and smiled warmly down at his mate. "I know, I know, I should have had faith that everything would turn out in the end."
The kiss was brief but true. No more words were needed so she simply smiled at him and took his hand kissing its palm. She then snuggled herself comfortably resting her head sideways on the crook of his neck and shoulder. He placed his arms around her, laying them gently against her outer hip. They sat there together, and watched the changing colors of the sky as the counterfeit sun rose against the clear horizon, listening to the sounds of the crashing waves against the shore and the squawking of sea gulls welcoming the coming day.
