Darkness and Shadows

Darkness and shadows is all I see

There are others more deserving then I

To be apart of the exquisit beauty of the world

Those who are pure and still whole,

Able to heal and bring joy,

After all the death and distuction

I was born and raised a soldier

My hands tainted by the blood of the innocent

I sit in shadows, looking on as those closest

To me find peace, growing closer together

Surrounded by darkness, constantly fighting

There will forever be a wall,

seperating me from those I care for

For I will never be able to leave the soldier behind

and become as free as my friends

In the darkness I wait, Alone

Too tainted to come close to the others,

My hands forever soaked in blood

Death will always follow in my wake

So alone, Surrounded by shadows I will stay

Confined by the darkness in my life.
