Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Death and his Huntress ❯ Watchful eyes ( Chapter 1 )
Disclaimer:
Well, I decided I needed to make something with evil stuff in it…I don't any of the Gundam people or Gundam Wing.

A.N Okay for one, Duo is not what you think... kind of…you see he's half a God and half a vampire/demon. And the girl, well I'm not gonna tell you who it is…but she is a huntress, not a slayer.

"Long raven hair, ice blue eyes of cornflower, pale skin… very tempting to many, to I"
It's quite interesting, the position I find myself in. I remain unknown to this woman ten feet away from me. She can probably sense me, but I really don't care, it's not like she could be beat me. Fight me, yes, she could, but she would and could never win.
She's quite a woman, beautiful, mysterious, and dangerous…to most.
How I ever found myself in the predicament, I may never know. Her whole purpose it to kill my kind, the children who thrive in the darkness. She doesn't even know who has been following her all this time…or else she wouldn't be here.
She wouldn't try and blend in. But she probably never could, she's a messiah, a warrior, a saint…a dark goddess. One in which has caught my eye. Long raven hair, ice blue eyes of cornflower, pale skin…very tempting to many, to I.
I flick my dark bangs from my eyes. How such a small, lithe human could be feared by so many, I'll never know. Still watching her, I take a sip of my drink, shielding my eyes from her sight. I can hear two slightly drunk women behind me, laughing and whispering…about me. One of them approaches me from behind, sliding her arm gently over my shoulder. I set my drink down.
"Wanna dance?" the women asked. She was cute, blonde hair, green eyes, big breasts, so why not? I nodded and she pulled me onto the dance floor. Her back faced my front as she started to move with the beat. This woman's body ground against mine, moving in fast movements, trying to keep up with the music.
I placed my hands on her hips as they swayed, but my attention was not on her…but on that little raven. I estimated she was about seventeen…just right. I am of course, much older, by at least two centuries. I looked about eighteen to all, but I knew my true age, as did many others.
I paid little attention to the blonde in front of me, but kept my eye on that woman. I started to become very uninterested in blonde and told her I wanted to rest. I walked back to the bar, ordered another drink, relaxing as the music pounded in my ears.
Thinking I'd have a little fun, I decide to cause a little trouble.
I slyly surveyed to crowd, looking for the perfect volunteer. I spotted a lovely little red head in the corner and decided to make a new friend…well, not exactly.

" The bloodied star with a cross through it…the mark of death…Shinigami."
The music is soothing my soul, moving my body to it's beat. I don't know who my partner is, and frankly, I don't care. I know I should be on the look out. After all, someone has been following me for sometime now. Even now, I can feel someone's eye on me…it doesn't mean they're demon. That's also not true.
I know it's not true. A cold shiver runs down my spine. That's the sign. It's not safe when that chill fines it way down my back…I have to leave now. Get the demon away from all these people.
I dart open my eyes to glare around the dance club. I can sense someone or something very strong, terribly strong. My heart is beating quickly now, who is this?
"I have to go!" I tell the guy I was dancing with.
Hurrying, I grab my beret and jacket and walk out of the club as fast as I can. I desperately need fresh air, and it greets my flushed cheeks as I step out into the cool weather. I pulled my tight black leather jacket and black beret, pulling me hair out of the jacket and letting it's raven length fall across my back. This dark style gives me a sexy, mysterious look.
Even though night has fallen and it's quite dark outside, I put on my favorite sunglasses. I can see exceptionally well in the dark, another advantage of being a huntress. Sensing a pair of eyes on me again, I pull my silver cross from under my tube top, and drape it across my breast.
For some reason, I feel as though I should run. Run? Me? I never run! So why do my instincts tell me to do so? Choosing not to ignore them, I run as fast as my legs could carry me.
I can hear laughter behind me, and I feel another icy chill creep down my spine. I can see a forest or woods, something! I decide, if what ever gets nasty, I can hide all in the woods depth.
My legs are starting to get limp, have I been running that long? I dart behind a tree, waiting to see if I can catch a glimpse of my stalker. Suddenly, my stomach burned in pain, I could sense someone's high emotional distress. It was somewhere nearby.
I glanced around through my glasses, trying as hard as I could to see who it was.
Then, from behind my tree I spotted it.
A girl, she couldn't be a year older than myself. She was pale, and her blue eyes where blank, almost death like. I tossed off my beret and my glasses, watching them land on the ground with a small thud. I gulped and walked out from behind my tree, touching the silver dagger that was tucked in the waistline of my hip hugger pants.
My hand stayed there at my hip, ready to pull out my weapon at any time.
I couldn't help but feel guilty as I kneeled down at the girls' side. She was pretty, a young teen with light red hair, just a normal girl. I could just barely hear her breath, even with my keen hearing. It was coming out in slight gasps.
I sighed and moved her head to the side. Her pale neck bared not markings, so it couldn't have been a vampire…could it? I noted, that her complexion showed confused terror. Her cold eyes were wide open, blank, as I said before.
They seemed to stare off into oblivion. My heart was stuck in my throat. If it wasn't a vampire, what did this? Feeling slightly frightened, I began to search her arms for markings. My hair was falling in my face as I hurried. My pulse was beating fast. I could feel myself start getting weak as I turned her wrist over to inspect it.
"Oh no…"
I cried silently. There, what I had been looking for, a mark that all demon hunters feared. The bloodied star with a cross through it…the mark of death…Shinigami.
I could feel the bile rise in my stomach as I traced my fingernail over the marking, hot sensations flowing through my body.
I know for a fact that this girl was not in here when I arrived. She was attacked before she was placed here. She was still alive, but needed intense care, and soon. If I wasn't such a coward, I probably could have saved her.
Whispering a small incantation, I waved my hand over her eyes and cast the incantation for her to close them and sleep. I couldn't bare those innocent eyes staring blankly into nothing any longer. Then I heard it.
That same damn snickering, I hated who ever it was laughing at me. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end as I stood up quickly and spun around.
There. I could see who ever it was that was following me.
My whole body froze as his gaze fell on mine. He was dreadfully handsome. Long chestnut brown hair that was tied tight in a braid. He had a muscular and firm form, and an evil grin. But his eyes…god his eyes.
"Hello, Hilde."
At the sound of my name coming from his mouth, my heart stopped and my instincts took over. I grabbed my dagger and flung it quickly, straight at his heart. He merely grinned and caught it in his hand. "Shit!" I muttered.
There were a few things that my mother had taught me about demons. One, and one of the most important, if a demon you have never encountered before, knows your name, you're in deep shit.
And frankly, that was how I felt. No sooner had he caught it, could I feel my arms being pulled behind my back, and holding me there.
Then, all at once, a warm sensation swam over my whole body numbing it. His breath was hot on the side of my face. His free hand was snaked around my waist.
`What is going on? What's he doing?' I could hear his breathing stay stable the whole time he kept me there…he wasn't trying to kill me?
"Do you know who I am?" he asked, more heat chills creeping all over my body.
I struggled. I knew exactly who he was. And frankly, I've never been so afraid in my whole life. He laughed as I tried to pull away. Why did I feel so weak in his grasp?
Giving in, but not giving up, I glared at him.
" Death…the God of Death…Shinigami." I whisper hoarsely, trying to hide my distress. My pulse was beating so hard and so fast I thought I might faint, God, I'm so weak.
He smirked and I could feel it.
He squeezed me tightly around the waist, causing me to gasp. What was he playing at?
"I am…and you're the huntress…you're supposed to kill me…well try at least."
He whispered softly in my ear. I shivered.
He slowly let his grip go off my arms from behind my back, but his arm still held my waist tightly. He spun me around so he could look me in the eye. I stared up at him. His eyes were so magnificent; they drawled me into their depth.
Beautiful dark cobalt blue eyes…they made my stomach to flips and my heart beat furiously. My legs and arms felt weak, my mind was in a haze, and he wasn't letting go.
"Don't fear me Hilde," he told me, his warm breath playing across my face.
"And don't run from me, you can't hide. I'll always find you."
His cool finger moved under my chin, guiding my lips towards his…but I glared and he stopped. At least I still held some power in my eyes. He slowly pulled away. Before he disappeared, I felt him run his long fingers through my dark black hair, and a slight kiss on the side of my neck…then he was gone.
