Part 1

The leaves were whispering softly, the breeze blew through the treetops, and a messy brown-haired boy was hiking into the deep forest. He was on his way from one city to another. From the map, this forest support to be a shortcut, which would take him only a few hours to get to his destination. However, the farther he went, the more overgrown trail became. The boy finally stopped walking, looking around. It was getting dark, but there was still no sign of human's house. Heero knew: he was lost.

The boy dropped his body to ground, leaning against the near-by tree. Heero sighed deeply. He was not supposed to be lost! He was not a novice who just took his first travel in a forest. He remembered the map well and he was sure his didn't miss the direction. However, walking since the early morning, he still couldn't see the clue of any city. All he saw in the past several hours were the strange plants that he had never seen before, though he was quite sure that he had gone through almost all kinds of forests. All the trees around him were violet, from the boles to their leaf-tops, and full with vines. The bole was a dark color, but up to the leaves was almost transparent. It was beautiful though, but somehow, Heero could feel a strange atmosphere around him. Though it sounded ridiculous, Heero felt like those trees were eyeing him all the time. Was this what the old man in the town was warning him about?

//This forest was cursed. You'd better not step in there, boy.//

Heero had ignored the old man's words. He didn't care whether this forest was cursed or had a monster. He could fight them, so he only chose the shortest direction to reach his destination for the most efficient time. However, it seemed that this way didn't save his time at all. Heero considered turning back to the way he came. The boy got up and returned to his way, being unaware of the vines that were approaching him quietly… closer and closer…

"Ahhh!" Heero gasped as his ankle was pulled sharply causing him fall on the ground. The boy turned his head back and saw a vine binding around his ankle.

Monster! Heero quickly reached to his side for his sword. However, his hand only caught empty air instead of his weapon. It was gone!

"Looking for this?" a voice came from somewhere.

Heero looked up to the direction of the voice and saw a figure hiding beneath the shadow of the next tree. The figure was holding something that looked very much like his sword.

"You!" Heero growled and tried to pounce on the figure but the tug on his other ankle brought his attention back.

"Shh…shh… You'd better not loose sight of your opponent," the figure chastised teasingly.

Heero widen his eyes as he noticed that several more of those vines were swiftly snaking towards him from every direction.

Heero fought, struggled, and tried to free himself from the vines. He was strong enough to fight a monster, but too many of them at once on him was more than he could handle. Every one he managed to break away from, three more just take its place. Soon, the boy ended up with his arms and legs held spread-eagle.

"It has been so long since the last human visited us…" The figured chuckled and stepped out of the shadow, revealing the braided boy with violet eyes. "… Especially a beautiful one like you."

/He looks delicious./

Heero flinched as another little voice came from around him despite that there was no one else around.

"Yes, he is." The braided boy grinned, reaching his hand to greet the vine beside him.

The demon was talking to the vine! Heero looked around cautiously, tugging his hands and feet to get free.

"Huh, stop that vain attempt. You can't escape," the demon said joyously.

Heero jumped as he felt a hand on his chin. The boy snapped his head back and met the violet eyes staring at him, only a few inches away from his face. How could the demon approach him so this fast and soundlessly?!

"Don't touch me!" Heero snapped his head away.

"So cute." The braided demon chuckled merrily. "I'm Duo. What's your mane?"

Heero turned his face away, keeping his mouth sealed. The demon was teasing him, like a cat playing with a prey before eating it. He was going to die anyway, so at least he wouldn't get down for this demon.

/His name is Heero./

The brown hair boy widened his eyes as the little voice correctly called his name.

"I didn't ask you." Duo made a face at the vines.

The little voice snorted, /He is not going to tell you anyway. I can read that from his mind./

Heero felt one vine come up to caress his cheek. He then realized, the plant really could talk, or at least telepathically communicate with his mind. "Get away from me!" Heero thrashed his head away, evading the touch.

"You may be right. He does look stubborn," said the demon, "Good, because that's just the way I like them. I like a stubborn prey. A wide grin spread itself on the predator's heart-shaped face.

"Just kill me and finished this!" Heero snarled, his blue eyes giving the demon a deadly glare. If he could get free, the demon himself would surely be the one to be killed.

"Who said I'm going to kill you?" The violet eyes demon grinned. "I'll keep you alive. You still have to produce food for us for a long while."

Heero's eyes widened in horror. What did the demon mean by `produce food'?

/Come on, Duo. Hurry up. I'm hungry. I haven't tasted it for years./

"Take it easy, we still have to `inspect' his quality first."

"What the hell are you going to do to me?!"

Grinning, Duo swung the sword in his hand and rested its point on the boy's chest.

Heero took a deep breath, closing his eyes. He anticipated that the edge of the sword would cut through his skin. But instead, the demon just ran the sharp blade down his tank top, tearing the material and exposing his bare chest.

Feeling the cold air against his skin, Heero's eyes snap opened. "What are you doing?!" Heero then gasped as he felt the vines came over his spandex, ripping the cloth off. "What??!!!!!" Heero voice went squeaked in high panic. Heero struggled wilder only to have more vines wrap around his thighs and spread his legs wider. Then other vines managed to tear his cloths away, leaving him completely naked.

"Be gentle," Duo said to the vines sluggishly, "he looks fragile."

"I'm not fragile!" Heero snapped back, feeling his cheeks heat up from the demon's tease.

Duo smirked. "Well…so you mean that I can be rough."

Heero shuddered as the violet eyes pierced into his blue ones. The look in the demon's eyes somehow made him felt like a chill ran down his spine. This demon was unlike those he had defeated before; Heero could feel the difference. This demon was powerful, a lot more powerful than others.

/Don't worry, boy. I'm gentle,/ the little voice said, /at least more gentle than that braided baka./

"Hey! You can't say that," Duo protested, "you are a part of mine, remember?"

/Ah… right,/ the voice giggled. /So you know what I want now. Hurry up and finish `inspecting' him!/ the voice said anxiously.

"So what are you waiting for?" Duo smirked evilly. "Go ahead."
