Summary: Wufei discovers why eating cotton candy before going on the roller coaster isn't such a good idea.

 

Drabble #3 in the Drabble series 'Theme Parks' A series of drabbles about the guys and their escapades at some of America's theme parks.

 

"Rock and Roll"

 

November 2007 - ShenLong

 

"So, what's next?" Wufei asked as he screwed up the plastic bag from his cotton candy and tossed it into the trash.

 

"Let's go ride the roller coaster," Duo suggested with a wide grin. He was still on an adrenaline high from his bungee experience.

 

"Let's not," Heero muttered.

 

"Aw, don't be a spoilsport." Duo pouted for good effect.

 

"Don't tell me you're afraid of a roller coaster, Yuy?" Wufei taunted, licking the last of the cotton candy from his fingers.

 

"Heero hasn't finished his tea," Quatre stated, coming to Heero's defense. "We'll go on it with you, Duo, whilst Heero finishes his tea, he can go on later."

 

"We will?" questioned Trowa.

 

"Yes, we will," Quatre growled.

 

"Ah, okay."

 

Leaving Heero to finish his tea, the four headed for the 'Golden Nugget' and joined the queue. A few minutes later they were sitting in the carriage, safety bar across their middles, being hauled up the large 'hill'.

 

"And they're off!" shouted Duo as the coaster reached the top, teetered on the brink for a moment, then shot down the other side.

 

"Super!" screamed Duo, arms in the air, body following the coaster as it flew down the hill then twisted right and left.

 

"Ow! My ass!" complained Trowa when the coaster went over a series of smaller bumps causing all of them to bounce hard in their seats.

 

"Don't worry, I'll kiss it better for you," Quatre murmured over the roar of the coaster and wind in his face.

 

"Wheee, I'm flying!" cheered Duo when the coaster went into a series of spirals.

 

Trowa and Quatre joined Duo in the cheering and laughter, hanging on tight when the coaster flew over the last few 'bumps' and shot into the final spiral before coming to an abrupt halt and cruising slowly back into the station.

 

"Wow, that was great!" enthused Duo.

 

"I have to agree with you there," Trowa replied with a small grin.

 

"Hey, where's Wu-man?"

 

"He was right behind us," said Quatre and immediately began scanning the area for their missing Chinese friend.

 

A nudge from Trowa had Quatre looking towards the garden bed that ran alongside the coaster where Wufei looked suspiciously like he was throwing up.

 

"I told him all that cotton candy would make him sick. But does anyone listen to me? Nooo..."

 

Trowa and Duo exchanged looks and snickered quietly. Looked like Wufei was never going to hear the last of this; especially if they had their way.
