Duo gently pulled away. "Heero, we have to get you out of here."
Heero nodded slightly, lifting a hand up to Duo face to caress his cheek. "Thank you...for believing in me. The others all think I'm crazy because of what I've done..."
"I knew that you wouldn't just destroy the peace we worked so hard to obtain for nothing."
"...I wanted to bring all of us back together. We are only ever together when we're fighting..." Duo helped Heero to his feet.
"You tried to bring us back together and they threw you in here instead. Have any of them actually visited you?"
Heero shook his head no.
"They have the cheek to call you insane and they won't even hear out why you did it?! Quatre had better keep outta my way..." Duo growled. "But we have to get you out of here. Can you walk?"
"Yeah."
"Can you run?" Duo pulled off his jacket and helped Heero into it.
"I think so."
"You'd better hope so." Duo stepped over the unconscious doctor's body as a bell began to ring continuously, alerting them to the escape. The two boys started running toward the exit as the security guards began to chase after them.
"Heero, this way!" Heero skidded around a corner as a tranquilliser dart barely missed his shoulder. His eyes lit up as he saw the exit, Duo running toward it with his long braid slapping the back of his thighs. His eyes widened as he realised there was a shutter coming down, trying to close him in. He forced his weak legs to run faster.
Duo got outside and turned around to see the shutter getting lower and lower. 'He's not gonna make it...' "Heero! Drop and roll! Hurry!"
Heero slid across the floor and rolled outside, the shutter closing behind him.
