It wasn't too long ago that I died and another emerged in my place… or perhaps it was long ago. I'm no longer so certain, it seems like it happened just yesterday. Clique? Yes, of course it is, but that's because history repeats itself. The shot heard around the world was what they called it - there are many of those, too many if you ask me, but this is the one that ended my life. Well, enough about me, I'm here to share the story of two children who would take my place. The first one's on Earth, a princess of a pacifist nation, one that was actually sympathetic to my ideals - there aren't many of those. The second child, my namesake, is nothing like me. He was… well, let's just say he had a tough life from beginning to end. Wait, what am I doing? They haven't been born just yet…

That's a good a place as any to begin… the beginning. I suppose we'll do this in chronological order. So, we'll begin with the boy, he's from the colonies… born there at least.

It was chaos in the room as numerous `doctors' flooded in the small delivery room. One man, with dark brown hair and cold gray eyes held the child in his arms, looking at the woman whose son will never understand why his mother brought him into the world.

“Ms. Asakura!” One of the men called her, trying desperately to revive the young woman. She was certainly beautiful - twenty-four, light brown hair, and piercing blue eyes. They were closed now…

“Enough… she's gone.” The man walked out of the room, the crying child in his arms. The emotions he felt well hidden behind his usual mask of indifference. Or did he really feel them at all?

The man, who had been trying to wake her, watched on in sadness - the family torn apart, his own. “Time of death: 2355; Date of death: February 23, After Colony 180.”

Different from the beginning yet still alike in so many ways… well, that's a thought isn't it? Let's continue shall we? The girl… she's from Earth…

The crying of a baby was heard thought the long corridors, and a little boy - curious - came to see his new sibling. The site that greeted him, however, was not so much of a happy one.

“Time of death: 1250; Date of death: April 9, After Colony 180.”

A white satin sheet was pulled over her face, hiding the view from her son… and her newborn daughter. Their father knelt beside her, his hand clutching tightly onto hers - refusing to release her.

“Father? What has happened?”

He did not answer. His guardian was the one to respond. “Say goodbye to your mother.”

His shock - quickly followed by silence - was apparent on his young features, but he remained silent. This, however, was broken by the cries of the newborn child - his sister.

His father, having released his wife's hand, took the child into his arms, showing him the baby girl. “Your mother died brining this child into the world. Take good care of her - it's your responsibility from now on.”

His father's words were surprising - to say the least. Of course he would, but there would be so many others that would so as well, including the very man asking this of him, so why…?

Well, he would find out why eventually… actually, in only two short years. In After Colony 182, the Sanc Kingdom was destroyed, along with the Peacecraft monarchy…well, we can't really say that… it'd be just inaccurate. The young prince and the princess survived.
