Duo laughed with unrestraint, throwing his head back forcefully. The sand and wind toyed with his hair wildly as the desert winds began to rise for what seemed like an upcoming storm. Still giggling, he looked down upon the petite blonde he'd only met a week before.
"I've never felt so…free and alive!" he said beaming. The beautiful blonde smiled a small knowing smile, "Only seven moons ago you were depressed beyond death. Until we found you." The braided boy nodded, his face solemn with remembrance. "I shall never be enslaved again. I belong to no one. I am my own master." He told himself and the other boy. Aquamarine eyes shined as the boy nodded, resting a hand on the others shoulder.
The boys rocked side to side as the wagon they were concealed in rolled over mounds of sand and rock. Suddenly, from behind a velvet curtain, a tall slender youth came in. "Trowa!" The small blonde squealed. The dirty blonde's lips quirked in a tiny smile as he spoke, "We're arriving in Golgatha by dusk." He nodded to the blonde, "You know what that means."
The braided boy blinked unknowingly, and turned to his companion, "What does it mean, Quatre?" Said boy sighed scratching his platinum locks, speckles of crunchy sand falling out, "This City is infamous for capturing and selling gypsies into slavery." Violet eyes widened in understanding. He had recently been rescued from a cruel slave owner by a band of gypsies, and now they were to be on their guard.
Auburn brows bowed in concentration, "How are you going to conceal your belongings. It's obvious from your instruments, accessories, and ungodly amount of valuables you have that you're a gypsy tribe." The tall youth across from him nodded, "Exactly. One of our wagons is going to have to be loaded down with most of our valuables and other blatant items. That wagon will have to go around the city. The rest of the band should separate into groups, and enter the gates periodically."
Sharp, chestnut bangs shook gently as Duo nodded in agreement. He turned silently to see the blonde next to him smiling softly, "You can travel with Trowa and I," he said. Pearly white teeth flashed as Duo's cheeks stretched in a big smile, "Alright."

Hours passed and the boys enjoyed a small dinner, and were beginning to doze off when a small head of red hair popped into the wagon curtain, "We've arrived at their gates," the small girl said simply, her golden earrings reflecting in the sunset. Quatre nodded, instantly awake, "Thanks."
Blinking his sleepy eyes, Duo stretched and began to pack his meager belongings into a small cloth, which he tied together. "Have you ever been to Golgatha?" he asked settling back down on the floor of the wagon. Rosy lips pursed together into a line, "Hmm… No I don't think so, but Trowa has." His bright eyes became shadowed as he spoke in a low voice, "My parents went there when I was a boy, left me with my sisters, my mother was sold into slavery and my father never returned."
With empathetic eyes Duo extended his arm to rub the boys shoulder, "I'm sorry," he whispered almost afraid of speaking to loudly. As quickly as they were cast over his face the shadows were gone, and Duo sat staring into hurt aquamarine eyes, "It's fine, but we've got to be careful. They hate gypsies in Golgatha. They would sooner burn us at the stake then let us go free out of their gates."
Duo's expressive, violet eyes widened slightly, "How long are we staying there?" Quatre looked out of the wagon to the approaching gates and sighed, "It should take the others about seven or eight days to go around the entire city. Plus we need that time to buy supplies." The braided boy nodded, leaning back against the wagon's interior.
By the time the wagons had all entered night had fallen upon the city and few people roamed the streets. Duo and his two companions, along with the rest of the band checked in to separate inns. Duo yawned and sighed in pleasure as he leapt onto the inn bed. Stretching out across its sheets he closed his eyes, grateful he didn't have to share a bed. That was his last thought however, as the events of the day took their toll on his tired body.
Quatre smiled looking down on the rambunctious boy he and his lover had saved only a week ago. Closing his eyes as long arms wrapped around him, he leaned his head back against a strong chest. "Do you think he'll be happy with us?" he whispered. Feeling the chin on his shoulder dip down in a nod, he smiled softly. "Me too." With that the small blonde turned on his heel to press his lips chastely to the full ones awaiting him. The two fell asleep embracing.

By noon those big lilac eyes began to flutter open, and the full mouth stretched into a yawn. Duo curled into himself, relishing the fact that he could sleep in and not be beaten for it. With a Cheshire grin planted on his face the boy sat up leisurely, and walked into the washroom to bathe himself. Combing out his wet, honey tresses the boy hummed softly to himself.
After he'd dressed in his loose black pants, and form fitting, long sleeve shirt, he walked out of his room to find Quatre and Trowa sitting at a small tavern in the inn. The two were conversing quietly, while Quatre drank his tea, and Trowa chewed thoughtfully on golden biscuits.
Grinning from ear to ear, Duo bounced over to the two boys, "Good Morning!" he gushed. Giggling slightly at the other boy's exuberant attitude the blonde Arabian greeted him back warmly, "We can out today Duo. If you like we can buy you some new clothes." Duo's eyes swelled as his heart leapt at the thought of new clothes. They had been travelling for a few days in the middle of desert, clothes were unattainable.
He clasped his hands together not bothering to hide his excitement, "Can we really?" he asked bouncing in happiness. Chuckling the other boy nodded, "Really, but first have some breakfast." The braided boy dropped himself heavily onto the wooden chair next to Trowa. Grabbing the loaf of bread from the center of the table he slathered on an unhealthy amount of butter, and dipped the bread into a strawberry jam. Chomping down quickly on the bread he finished the loaf in record time and sighed in satisfaction as he took a swig of water.
Nearly dropping his jaw in amazement at the boy next to him Trowa could barely restrain the smile that formed on his lips, "Want some more?" he offered. Turning to face the banged boy Duo smiled gratefully, "I think I'm good for now, thank you." Clearing his throat as some laughter tried to break through, Quatre stood swiftly, and looked to Duo, "Well, now that your done…" he paused still shocked, "I suppose we can leave." He finished smiling.
Nodding and jumping out of his seat, Duo practically skipped to the tavern's entrance. Stooping down to kiss the Latin boy on the cheek, Quatre smiled, "We'll be back before dinner…I hope." A single nod was his only reply from his quiet lover. Turning out of the tavern, the small Arabian raced to catch up to the excited youth, already half way out of the inn.

"Oh! Look at that Quat!" Rolling his eyes said boy turned to face the window, that seemed to be all Duo had been saying these past few hours. The small black long-sleeved shirt was displayed nicely through the window. Taking a deep breath Quatre smiled, "Duo, it's time for our noon meal. Why don't we look at the shirt then go get something to eat?" he offered.
Duo nodded his braid hitting his back, "Alright then let's hurry. I'm famished!" he gushed. Laughing out Quatre smiled cheerfully, "Me too." He agreed. Walking into the store, Duo smiled at the nice-looking shirt. An elderly saleswoman walked up to the two boys smiling slightly. She noticed that both boys were carrying a sundry of bags from clothing stores.
"Can I help you gentlemen?" she asked, her voice cracking. Nearly breaking his face with a large grin, Duo nodded, "Yes, ma'am. May I see that one over there, please?" he asked pointing to the window display. Smiling sweetly the woman brought down the shirt, and eventually rang it up for the two youths.
Swinging his bags as he walked out of the store Duo couldn't wipe the huge grin off his face. "Oh Thank you Quat! I've never done anything like this before!" he thanked sincerely. Quatre hummed with a small smile on his face, "Don't mention it Duo. I'm happy too." His large crystal eyes flickered across from side to side, pub to pub. Where should they eat? He wondered.
His eyes finally landed on a small tavern with outside seating and floral arrangements around the tables. Taking seat the two boys ordered a hearty meal for the afternoon walk back to the hotel. After sitting and talking for a few minutes, Duo's head whipped to the left to look out on the street where he had heard a loud crash and yelling.
There was a large crowd gathered around a few of the carts that were situated on the street, selling various items. Curiosity piqued, Duo tilted his head to get a better view. Words like `thief!' and `get him!' rang out from the depths of the crowd.
Duo gasped, his violet eyes focusing on the small body of a slender boy stealing out of the mob of townspeople and casually, but hurriedly walking away from the group. The other's blue eyes darted back and forth, obviously realizing they were being watched, when they finally came to rest within Duo's iris ones.
Just as Duo's eyes had registered the boy, he blinked, and the other was gone. His eyes widened, "Where?" he asked aloud. His blonde companion turned to him, "What was that Duo?" The braided boy couldn't tear his eyes away from that spot where the other boy had been only moments before.
Quatre blinked looking to the his braided friend, "Hello? Duo? What are you looking at?" He laid a hand on the other's shoulder to get his attention, but the boy simply continued starring at that secluded corner. Curiosity overtaking him, the blonde stood and walked around the table to block the other's view. "Duo," he said firmly, "What are you looking at?" he asked.
Finally coming to, at the thin body now in front of him Duo grinned up into clear aqua eyes, "Oh, sorry Quat. I just saw something." Pursing his lips together, one brow raised Quatre inquired, "What'd you see?" Only grinning wider, the boy's eyes sparkled with mirth, "An angel." He said shortly, "An angel that sins."
That blonde brow shot down, "Okay." The other intoned sarcastically. He rolled his eyes, once more and walked around the table to once again take his seat. He began speaking to Duo, asking about the ruckus and what all had happened, but it was apparent the other wasn't paying him any mind, as he was off in his own thoughts.
`An angel.' The longhaired boy thought to himself. `I'll find that angel, and make him mine.' He decided grinning, and turned around just as the small redheaded waitress walked up to deliver their food.

After having finished their meal the two boys have now been walking around, admiring the town and occasionally walking into stores. More bags had been collected, dusk was setting in, and Duo's feet were beginning to protest his movements. He sighed looking over to the Arabian next to him, who looked equally withered, "Hey Quat you ready to head back?" he asked
The other only nodded in response, but smiled a small smile in relief. As the two boys were walking back, more and more bizarre people began to leave their homes. It was like a whole new breed of people was taking over. In the daytime Golgatha was home to hard-nosed, workers with dark hair, fair but burnt skin, and medium eyes. Now a whole new breed of people came out. Instead of brown or tan leather clothing, these people wore white, purple, crimson, and black clothing. Some wore jewels and others had chains around themselves.
The people themselves looked different, they had pale hair, lighter then Quatre's even, with tan skin, and light fiery eyes. They looked wild and exotic, their clothes were daring, and they even walked with a confidence and sense of sexuality that the working people of Golgatha could never obtain.
"I thought you said this city abhors gypsies." Duo whispered to the boy next to him. "They do, these people are not gypsies." He answered, whispering in a strong voice. The other frowned, "They sure as hell look it." As those words slipped from his lips a small body, obscured completely by a thick navy cloak and hood, quickly slid past Duo, knocking him in his haste.
Duo was about to reprimand the person when he caught sight of sparkling sapphires shining from under the hood. Sucking a breath, Duo reeled as he realized not only was that the angel from before but the other was smirking up at him through thick lashes. "Hey-" He reached out a graceful arm to catch the elusive angel, but the other danced around the outstretched limb.
He backed away, facing Duo only to turn swiftly and once again disappear into the crowd of people. A primal grin overtook Duo's features, this boy wanted a chase, then he'd give him a chase. Quickly looking back to Quatre he whispered close to the pale ear, "Don't wait up." The small blonde turned to inquire his companion, only to encounter air and a crowd of unknown people.
His mouth open in question, Quatre could only sigh and turn bend down to pick up the disregarded bags and walk back to his housing. `At least I'll be alone with Trowa, and we can have a nice dinner.' The solitary boy walked slightly slumped from the day, back to his inn, and back to his lover. `Oh God, be careful Duo.'
Said braided boy was weaving his way through the bodies and arms of the people around him. Visions of dark blue, sparkling eyes danced back and forth in his mind. He caught a glimpse, here and there, of that velvet cloak, but as he reached out for it the cloth always seemed to vanish only inches from his grasp. `I'll catch him.' He swore to himself and pushed on through the bumping bodies that surrounded him.
