Fate by Willow (Cobweb)
[This rose is our destiny]
Duo loved Quatre's rose garden. The pungent odor of blossoming flowers and fresh cut grass drew him out to it everyday.
Standing in the center, Duo looked down at the hedge before him. The roses that adorned it were in full-bloom, their fragrance heavy in the air. He lent down to inhale the intoxicating aroma. As he did so, a sense of d*ja vu hit him, something momentus.
----------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------
Christian spun around in circles as the breeze blew the rose petals around him like a minature tornado. He giggled delightedly, reveling in the sunny spring day.
For all Christian's sixteen years, he was still very much a child and his mother worried that the boy was lacking. He excelled in his studies, but at most times paid no attention to anything, turning his attention inside himself. Perhaps it was the lack of a father figure, or abscence of other children to grow up in the company of. Whatever the deficiency, Christian remained happy and innocent.
Currently, the boy was leaning over one of the many rose bushes admiring a pulchritudinous red rose. His mother called out to him, "Christian?"
His pale lavender eyes lit up and he bounced over to her, gleefully. He looked at her questioningly.
She cupped his face in her hands before wrapping her arms around him and drawing him to her. "My sweet baby," she cooed. "Are you happy?"
Christian looked at her, curiously. Of course, he was happy. Why would she ask such a silly question? He nodded, smiling at her warmly.
"Would you enjoy it if I were to bring someone here for you to spend time with? You need to have friends. It's not good for a boy your age to spend all their time alone," she said soothingly. Christian didn't see anything wrong with being alone, but, too, he'd never had a friend before. Unless you count the gardener who tended to the roses. Christian was never one to miss out on trying something new, so he smiled at her and nodded vigorously.
Two days later found Christian in the garden once more. He was standing in front of a particularly large hedge with the biggest blooms in the whole garden. His eyes twinkled as he lent forward to take in the distinct fragrance. As he indulged himself, he heard someone coming up the walk. He looked up to find a stranger standing before him.
Never a big talker (in fact it was questioned whether or not he could talk), Christian tilted his head to the side, inquiringly.
"Hello, I'm Stefen," the boy said, his face passive.
Christian straightened and walked over to the boy. He walked around him, inspecting him. Stephen just stood there, waiting for Christian to finish.
"So can you talk?" Stefen inquired as the boy came to stand in front of him. Christian nodded, but did not speak. Stefen rolled his eyes. "OK, for starters: What's your name? Or am I gonna have to pick one for you?"
"Christian," he said simply.
"OK, good. Hi, Christian. So," Stefen said, feeling awkward. "Um, your mother invited me to, um, be a quote 'playmate' for you. Said you needed to learn to be sociable."
Christian shrugged. This was all well and good, but what was he supposed to do with this Stefen. Granted, the boy was one of the most beautiful he'd ever seen and he felt an odd tingle of sorts when he thought about the boy. He seemed familliar. For some reason, Christian wanted nothing more than to sit in this boy's lap and cuddle against his chest.
"So, Chris," Stefen began. Christian looked up and their eyes met and locked. The stood like that for what seemed like an eternity, but in actuallity it was mere seconds. Stefen moved toward Chris, his movements slow and deliberate. "D-did you feel that too?" he whispered into Christian's ear. Chris nodded.
"Stefen--"
He was cut off as soft lips were pressed to his own. Startled, he pulled away. Fear glazed his eyes. What was going on? He was confused and scared, but... but he felt as if he shouldn't be. He felt safe with Stefen. Why?
"Chris, I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean- I shouldn't have done that," Stefen sputtered, wrapping his arms around Chris's shoulders. It felt right and Chris found himself wrapping his arms around Stefen's waist. Stefen kissed Christian's hair, his hand playing with the hair at the base of the boy's skull. "I know we don't know each other, Chris, but I feel like- like we've known each other forever."
Chris nodded, melting into the warm embrace. He felt completely at peace and whole. Stefen pulled Chris away from him slightly and Chris tilted his head up to gaze at him.
"Chris, I know this sounds crazy, but... I love you. I don't know why, but I do," Stefen said softly, honestly.
"Stefen--"
"Just 'Stef's fine."
"Stef, I..." Chris trailed off. How could he put into words what he felt. In the few minutes that he'd known Stef his whole world had been turned upside down and shaken. He looked deep into Stefen's ice blue eyes, trying to project his soul into his own lavander orbs.
Slowly, as not to scare Chris again, Stefen lowered his face, his lips, to Christian's. Tender and sweet they kissed, the whole world stopping for that one precious moment. The love they shared was a fountain from which both their souls drank, liberally.
[Michibikare]
They parted, faces flushed. They looked deep into each other's eyes, two souls uniting, never to be parted.
"I was led here for a reason... that reason is you," Stef whispered.
"Oh, Stef," Christian sighed, burrowing his face into Stefen's tunic.
"Christian!" called a femine voice from the house. Chris's eyes filled with fear and he looked back and forth between the house and Stef.
"Portia," he said, his voice quiet, fearful. "My mother has arranged for her to be my bride." Christian scowled, eyes angry. Stefen tilted Chris's face up to look at him.
"That expression does not suit you, little one," he said softly. "Worry not. You will be rid of her. And if not, you'll still always have me. Always. So what do you say we make an impression?"
Christian wondered what Stef could be up to, but his musings were halted as Portia came flying down the path. Her blonde hair streamed behind her like a golden cape and her cornflower blue eyes were happily searching for her groom-to-be. "Christian!?" she called again, then saw him. "Oh, Christian! I've been looking for you everywhere!"
"Seems you have found me," Christian sighed. "Good day, lady."
Portia giggled. "Oh, Christian. You don't have to be formal with me! I am your bride after all!"
"Pardon me, lady, but I have not accepted my mother's preposal, therefore you are not my bride as yet," Christian said, his tone regal.
Just who was this Christian? Stef wondered. Well, he'd find out eventually. Right now, he had to 'make an impression' as he'd put it. "Christian, I do not believe you have introduced us!" He mock-chided. Christian rolled his eyes. Stef could tell Chris really wanted to do away with Portia in the least amount of time. "I, my lady, am Stefen of Lockeed," he said with a bow, kissing Portia's hand.
She giggled and blushed. "And I, good sir, am Portia of Cinq. Christian, what bad manners you have! You have a guest and refuse introductions--"
"That, lady, is because I wish my privacy and solitude... in the presence of Stef alone. We have matters to discuss, which tender ears might deafen to hear," he said, placing his hands on his slim hips.
"Oh? Matters of state?" Portia querried. Christian nodded slightly. "Oh, but Christian! I would not be a bother in matters of state! In fact, I am curious to it's goings on."
"Portia, I value my privacy. If you do not honor my request," he warned. "I will have you escorted off the residance and the contract terminated. To hell with my mother's wishes."
"A-alright, Christian," she sniffed, her eyes watering prettily. "If that is your request." With that, she turned and left the garden.
Stef snickered a bit. "Oh, Chris, did you have to be so hard on her?"
Christian turned an exhausted expression on him. "You do not know the girl. She will only react to threats on the contract. She's dead set on latching on to me every waking moment... and some non-waking if she can manage it."
"We mustn't allow her to that! Heaven forbid!" Stef chortled. "Besides... I intend to do that and will not allow anyone to infringe on my stolen time!"
Christian turned and hugged Stefen. "Yeah, but the difference between you and her is that I want you to do those things."
They found themselves wandering their way to Christian's tower-chamber. Stef turned to look into Christian's lust-filled eyes, desire turning his blood to fire.
[Futari wa ima mouichido deau

Christian was confused as to his feelings. Never in his short life had he every felt like this. His pants were tight and his groin ached, his pulse was racing and he was acting on pure primal instinct. His body knew what it wanted, even if he didn't. He looked at Stefen, willing his eyes to express his body's need - his need. Obviously Stef got the idea, for he stalked forward and pulled Chris to him. They stood there, holding each other, basking in the heat of their emotions. Chris pulled back slightly to look up at Stefen, the movement rubbed their groins together and electricity shot along their nerves centered on their tumescent erections. Stef's eyes clouded over in passion and he surged forward to capture Chris's lips.
Chris gasped at the sensations flooding over him. Never in his life had he felt this way. Never, until now. It was like the sun shining on a bit of earth that had rarely, if ever, seen the light. He wanted Stef... but he didn't know what he wanted him for. Sexual education had never been a part of his cirriculum. "Stef..." he breathed. 'Oh please, please, I don't know what but please give it to me!' his mind screamed.
Stefen understood the need in that airily whispered word. He lent down and swept Christian off his feet, carrying him over to the bed. Gently laying the boy down, Stef gazed upon his beauty. Chris lay panting slightly, eyes half-lidded, manhood straining against the cortch of his breeches. His shirt had come unlaced revealing his milky white chest and erect pink nipples. Stef licked his lips in desire. Quickly, he divested them both of clothing then lay beside the boy.
Chris's body sang with anticipation, every nerve sensative and longing to be touched. "Please," he whispered, his voice harsh with need.
Stef could not resist the entreaty and began to smother kisses all along Chris's neck and chest. Christian writhed under Stefen's menstruations, he whimpered and pleaded, without words, for more.
Stef stroked Chris's silky thigh, teasing the boy further erect. The erroticism was making both of them painfully hard and Stef, as much as he enjoyed the foreplay, was finding it difficult to prevent himself from just ramming into Christian's virgin tightness. Feeling his control desolving, Stef stopped his teasing. Christian whimpered at the loss, but Stefen silenced him with a kiss. "Do you have any lotion or massage oil?"
Christian nodded and indicated the drawer on his nightstand. What ever could Stef want with either at a time like this, Christian didn't know. But he was soon to find out.
Stefen returned to the bed. He dipped his fingers into the lotion jar, coating them. 'Hmm, what a pleasant fragrance. Cinnamon and marigold.' Stef thought as he traced Chris's entrance. Stef slowly began sliding a finger into the tight ring and Christian hissed at the intrusion. Stef looked up at Chris's face, afraid to cause the boy pain. What he saw only pushed him to hurry his preparations. Wanton abandon and painful need. Quickly as he dared, Stefen stretched his soon-to-be-lover.
Christian felt his inner walls carefully being coaxed and stretched. It felt good, right. He was writhing in pleasure when suddenly his world went white. Sensation fled him and his world was centered on one pleasure center and the hot white pleasure it sent washing over him. He didn't notice when Stefen removed his fingers, but he did notice when he replaced them!
Stefen watched the coherancy leave Chris's face as his fingers contacted the prostate. He tested the walls once more before removing them and positioning himself at Christian's entrance. Slowly, carefully he slid into the tight heat that was (and always would be) Christian.
Christian gasped as Stef filled him. It was like having a lost part of your soul returned to you. Slowly Stef moved within him, careful not to hurt him. He gazed into lavender depths then lent forward to capture panting lips. Higher and higher they rose, their flight exceeding the heavens. Their bodies moved together in perfect syncronicity, their souls danced in and endless waltz; they were one, meeting again, for the first time.
The friction built until neither could remain in control, they came at the same time, their souls bonded in syncronis ecstasy. They collapsed together on the bed, exhausted but content.
------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------
"Stefen?" Christian asked softly.
"Hmmm?" Stef replied, stroking his hand through Chris's loose locks. He'd been surprised at the length when he'd released it; it reached Christian's ankles when standing, and now it flowed off the side of the bed to pile on the floor.
"What's going to happen now?"
"I don't know, little one. But lets not worry about it," Stef said, placatingly. "I'm with you and I always will be."
"Promise?" Christian pleaded. It sounded weak, but he needed to know.
"Yes, I promise. Forever."
Christian snuggled against Stef's chest and fell into a happy sleep.
-------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------
"Where could he be!?" Portia sighed, exasperated. It had been hours since she'd last seen Christian and she was beginning to worry. That boy he'd been with, she was told, was hired to be a friend for Christian by his mother. She had her doubts about that kind of low-life, but, admitted, he was beautiful. If she didn't want - love Christian so much, she'd probably go after him in a second, but she loved Christian and was determined to be his bride, come hell or high water. A servant scurried by her and she reached out to stop him. "Have you seen Lord Christian?" she asked.
"Mi'lady, Lord Christian is spending time with his friend, Stefen of Lockeed," the servant told her. "He's asked not to be disturbed. Frankly, mi'lady, he spoke far more than I meself have e'er known him to, and that surprises me."
"Yes, he is usually quiet..." She said. 'Unless he's speaking to me... and that's usually rather forced itself.' "Thank you, Pierre."
"Me pleasure, mi'lady."
'Where could he be?' she thought to herself. 'I've searched all the gardens and the entire house...' a thought hit her 'except his room!'
She hurried herself up to Christian's tower and knocked on his door. "Christian? Are you in there?" she called. Without waiting for an answer she turned the knob and opened the door. What she saw made her stop dead in her tracks.
In the bed lay Stefen with Christian currled up beside him. They were both (as far as she could tell) bereft of clothing. Stef glared at her. "Be quiet. Don't wake him." He warned.
All she could do was gape. Her fianc* was in bed, naked, with another man. Another woman she possibly could have understood and handled, but a man!? Her eyes teared and she turned and ran. She fled down the stairs and out into the courtyard. Tears streamed down her cheeks and she didn't try to hide them. Not watching where she was going, it was inevitable that she would run into someone. So it was no real surprise when she found herself on the ground looking dazedly up at someone.
Lady Grace extended her hand to her daughter-in-law-to-be, hauling the girl to her feet. She noticed the tears on Portia's face and frowned. "Dear girl, what is the matter?"
Portia recapped for her the afternoon's events as she recalled them. She couldn't judge Grace's reactions as her face was placid and reserved. After Portia had finished she spoke. "This will... have to be rectified." Her voice was quiet, but laced with venom. Portia was sure this would mean Stef's death.

"Wake up, Chris," Stef said, shaking his lover's shoulder slightly. "C'mon, Chris! We gotta get outta here!"
"Wah?" Christian replied sleepily as Stef thrust his clothes at him. "What's going on?"
"We have to leave. Portia found us and no doubt she's telling you mom!" Stefen replied, gathering a few items into a bag.
Christian's eyes widened and he hurried to dress. Minutes later they were out the gates and on their way. "Oh Gods, Chris! I'm sorry I got you into this mess! Shit! I shoulda locked the door, I guess I didn't think that anyone would come looking for us during the day! Shit shit shit!"
"It's ok, Stef. I don't care! I want to be with you... no matter what! I never wanted the life they gave me anyway! I never liked being incharge of political stuff!" Chris cried, latching onto Stef's arm.
Stef stopped and turned to look at his lover. "Who exactly are you, Chris?"
"I'm me," Christian replied.
"No, I mean... well, what are you?"
"Other than yours? Nothing anymore," he tip-toed to kiss Stef, but the other pulled back.
"Christian, please. Don't play word games with me. Just tell me, OK?"
Christian sighed. "I was heir to my Lord-Father's land. This kingdom. I hated the possition, I wanted freedom to enjoy life." He looked up at Stef's pale blue eyes. "Now I have it. Thank you." He kissed Stefen soundly then turned and continued on.
'He's a prince! Oh shit! No, no! He must go back! He can't--' Stef's thoughts were interupted by the sound of horses. "Chris!!! Run! We have to get away!"
They ran as fast as their legs could carry them. Suddenly, Stef noticed that Christian was no longer running beside him. He turned back and gathered the boy in his arms then ran. "Are you OK?" he asked.
"I twisted my ankle," Christian replied. His loose hair whipped around them and he tried to wrestle it into a lock. Finally winning, he clutched it to his chest.
Without warning, Stef stopped. Christian looked at him to find his face etched with fear. He turned to see what he was looking at.
Roric looked down at the two boys, his face intimidating. "You are under arrest for the corruption and abduction of Prince Christian," he told Stef. Before either boy could react, the guards had wrenched Christian away from Stef and were shackling the latter.
"Stef!!!" Christian cried as they were torn apart. "No!!!! No, bring him back!!! Let him go!!! Please!!!!" Tears fell down Christian's face in torrents. He collapsed to the soft ground and sobbed. "Bring him back! Please! Please, bring him back!!!" he lamented over and over.
--------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------
Christian sat silently beside his mother, his eyes pained as he gazed at his lover.
"Stefen of Lockeed, it is by law that I charge you guilty of the aforementioned crimes of the corruption and abduction of Prince Christian and sentence you to be hanged. Your sentence will be carried out tomorrow at dawn," Lady Grace said in a cool, crisp voice.
Christian broken down as they drug Stefen out of the room. How would he live without him now that he'd found him?

With dawn on the approach, Christian slipped down to the dungeon. The guards were sound asleep, a pile of snoring flesh beside the heavy iron doors. He slunk quietly over to the cell where Stefen sat, awaiting his fate.
"Stef?" Christian whispered. "Stefen!"
Stefen looked up, when he saw who it was he rushed to the door. "Oh, Chris! Oh Gods, you shouldn't be down here! If they catch you--"
"They will do nothing to me. And if they kill me, I'll gladly go... so long as I'm with you."
Stef put his arms through the bars and pulled Christian close to him. "I'm sorry, Chris, I am so sorry. I've only known you a day and I love you..."
"I love you, too, Stef. With all my heart, I do!" Christian said, his voice choked by tears.
"I'm so sorry..." Stef said again. "Oh Gods, I don't want to leave you! I promised you! I promised you we'd be together forever!!! I hate breaking promises... especially this one!!!"
"We will be together!!! We're soul mates, Stef. Don't you feel it? We'll be together again. No matter how long it takes, we'll find one another," Chris cried.
In reply, Stefen leaned down and kissed him for the last time.
--------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------
Dawn came, as did the guards. They drug stefen out of the dungeon roughly as chris watched from the shadows. After they had gone, he followed.
Out on the platform, the hangman stood securing all the riggings until he was satisfied that it would be a quick, efficient execution. He nodded to the guards and they pushed stef up the stairs, he tripped but righted himself. The hangman fitted the noose around stef's neck and jerked it tight.
"Any last requests?" He asked him.
"Let me see chris."
Christian stepped out of the shadows, his lavender eyes spilling tears.
"I love you, chris. We will be together again. Have no doubt of that," he said and chris collapsed to the ground.
From the balcony, lady grace spoke. "Stefen of lockeed, this is your execution. By power of the law I give your your punishment. Let god have mercy on your soul." She nodded to the hangman and he released the door. A sickening crack resounded over the square and stef's body went limp. Christian's sobs were the only sound to pierce the quiet that had settled over the congregation.
With a quick slash, the hangman cut down stef's body. Chris immediately scrambled over to it. He pulled the limp form to him and sobbed onto stef's lifeless shoulder. "Noooo!!!!!!"
------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------
"Christian?" Portia called. "Christian, please let me in."
She'd been trying to get him to talk to her ever since he'd locked himself in his room after the hanging. She couldn't say she was not glad to be rid of the competition, but she hated to see Christian so sad.
"Please, Christian, I just want to talk."
-------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------
Inside, christian rocked silently back and forth, tears streaming down his face.
"Please, christian, i just want to talk."
Christian didn't want to talk. He didn't want to have anything to do with anyone. Ever again. He turned an eye to the table. On it lay a small dagger with a dragon on the handle. It had been a gift from his cousin, the lord thea. The small blond boy had only visited him once and with him came the exquisite gift.
The gift which no rested in his shaking hand. "If i cannot be with you in life, then i will be with you in death," he whispered, drawing the knife along the blue veins. As he felt the life drain out of him he whispered to the stars. "I love you, now and forever. We will meet again."

Duo looked up at the sound of footsteps on the stone walk. "Hi, Heero!" he chimed, happily.
"Hn," Heero grunted.
"Oh, c'mon! Admit you're happy to see me!" Duo chimed, his violet eyes glimmering with mirth.
"Baka!" Heero scoffed.
"Yeah, but I'm your baka!" Duo grinned madly, throwing himself into Heero's arms.
Heero held Duo tight, he never wanted to let go.
"Love you," Duo sighed.
"Mm, ai shiteru. Zutto. Itsumo."

Zutto. Itsumo."
