Tanashi- Eheheheheh... I know I should be working on Yumemaboroshi, but I couldn't help it! This plot bunny has been floating around in my head and it wouldn't leave me alone. ;_; I tried to ignore it, but it was made worse when my friend made me read the summary of the fantasy/fairy tale book she was reading. -.- I'll work on the next chapter of Yumemaboroshi when I get an idea for it, since I've kinda hit a lump... ^^;;

Layli- Mwahahahahaha! Aren't I evil?

Tanashi- Muses... *sighs* Never satisfied with just ONE STORY! Is that too much to ask?

Layli- Yep!

Maru- Squeak!

Tanashi- You're both conspiring against me, aren't you?

Maru- ^-^

Tanashi- ... -.-' Well, anywho, this is just a teaser. If people are actually interested in this, I'll continue and write up a full chapter. If not, I can just add it to my 'discarded fic ideas' bin in my head. ^^ And don't expect this to be deep and insightful. I can't seem to write that way... This was originally supposed to be that type of fic, but it took a wrong turn... in the very beginning... ^^;;

There was silence. Wonderful, blessed, loving silence. The guard on duty gave an audible sigh of relief, leaning against the large wooden door.

"Let me out!"

The guard jumped, falling forward as the pounding on the other side of the door he had been previously leaning against resumed. The loud yell had come from within the cell the door led to, the voice coming through from the tiny square hole near the top of the door, bars blocking the hole even though it wasn't large enough for anyone to escape through. The door was shaking just the slightest under the force of the person inside he was supposed to be guarding.

The poor, unfortunate guard who nearly had a heart attack from the unexpected yell and pounding stared at the shaking cell door. Relief flooded over him when the next guard on duty sauntered down the hall. He ran up to the relief guard and shoved the keys in the other's face. "Guarding duty's all yours, pal." Without wasting anymore time, the first man bolted down the hall.

The relief guard stared after the first one, watching as the man disappeared down the stairs. "..."

Inside the cell, Quatre grinned.

Tanashi- It's a very SHORT teaser! ^^;;

Layli- I'll say. That didn't even fill up half of a page!

Tanashi- Yes it did!

Layli- Author's notes and the other things up there don't count.

Maru- Squeak!
