Cid was the first to speak out of the group, he let out a sigh and looked up at Trowa which leaned against the wall, arms crossed and seemed a bit distracted in thought."Hey, Trowa what's wrong with ya? It's not like ya to get depressed like this. Things'll all work out in the end and you should know that."
Trowa nodded without a word.
"...What's on your mind, Trowa?" Yang decided to ask feeling concern for his new found companion and friend.
Trowa glanced at both of them."There's nothing on my mind." He told them. But that wasn't true at all. He had a concern for the one he had promised to protect, Quatre.Was he alive? Well? Hurt? He wanted to know dammit... was it too hard to ask?
"...Oh. Alright, sorry." Yang turned away.
Cid rose an eyebrow but decided it be best now not to question him again. He knew very well there was something on Trowa's mind that was bothering.
Tellah merely glanced back at the three, revenge only enraged his mind. He swiftly turned to them."We should be off, we don't have much time left."The others nodded and so they continued their journey through the Tower of Zot. Awaiting them was more beasts even more feirce then before and unknown what to expect ahead of them, they still continued.
They soon arrived at a large door, and a strange aura surrounded them. Suddenly a little girl appeared in front of them.
"BOO!" She giggled at them.
Another appeared on their left."Charmed." she siad to them.
A third appeared to the right."We, the magus sisters welcome you. We serve Valvalus, Devil of Wind. Mindy!"She introduced herself raising a sword.
"Sandy." The one to the left told them.
"Cindy!" The little girl in the front said giggleing.
They all started speaking at once standing in battle poses."Thank you for playing and goodnight."
"Ready sis?" asked Sandy. Mindy nodded."Wall!" shouted Sandy casting it to her sister.
"Cast the spell, Cindy!"
"Okie!" Cindy giggled. They all shouted at once."Reflect it! Delta Attack!" It hit Mindy and bounced off the reflect spell and onto the group.
Trowa held his shield to block it. Yang jumped away as well as Cid and Tellah.
"What was that!?" Trowa asked in surprise.
"They have a very stong attack stratagy!We have to figure out a way to stop them!" Yang exclaimed.
The smaller sister ran up towards them holding her dagger and slashed at Trowa's arm but missed and she ran back to her sisters.
"My magic is useless! It will only be reflected back at us!" Tellah told them.
"Alright!"said Yang."Now thinking of this closely, the elader has reflect on her.. Magic attacks don't work. They'll bacxkfire on us. Also she's slow so we can get her. We just have to watch out for the other two."
Trowa nodded."Right. I'll get her, you distract the other two."Yang nodded and so the two set forward in a full attack.
Trowa steadied himself waiting for the right time to attack. The other two were quite the match for Cid and Yang, also they were not easily distracted. But Trowa had to do something soon or Yang and Cid would soon tire. His eyes gazed depply into the battle, he soon saw his chance to attack. He ran in and before the leader knew what was happening Trowa had snuck up to her, severing her head from her body.
"Mindy!" the other girls screamed.
"Tellah now! Cast a spell!" Trowa yelled.
Yang and Cid quickly backed off retreating for th moment as Tellah's arms rose in the air. A emense light poured around them.
"Holy!!" He chanted the spell which made a blinding light blind them all from seeing the battle and as the light faded the two girls had turned to dust.
Trowa sighed and returned his sword to his side."Golbez only uses people like them for his terrible deeds...I pity them."
"Yes. it is Golbez who corups their minds. It's something that shouldn't be meddled with." replied Yang.
"...There's no time for that you two. Let's go find Duo and stop Golbez!" Tellah cut in.
The two nodded and they entered through the large double door and then stopped as a dark armoured man, which was all too familiar stepped toward them.
"Welcome."
"At last!"muttered Tellah.
"Where's Duo!?"yelled Trowa.
"The Crystal first." demanded Golbez.
"He'd better be alright!"yelled Cid clenching his fists.
"Hand over the Crystal or he dies."
Trowa went over cautiously to him and handed it over."Take it." The crystal was now in the hands of Golbez."Alright, where's Duo?"
Golbez snorted."Duo? There is no Duo."
"WHAT!?"
"You sick bastard!!"yelled Cid.
"Return him this minute!"yelled Tellah.
"Ignorant dotard. Have you any idea who you're dealing with?"Golbez laughed.
Tellah took afew steps closer."How could I ever forget the monster WHO KILLED MY DAUGHTER!!?"He ran and pushed past Trowa and went over to Golbez."Vengence will be mine!!"
Golbez stood before him in amusement.
"Bio!"
The spell had no effect...
"Fire3!"
No effect...
"Quite a sad attept at revenge."Golbez muttered.
"Bolt3!"
No effect...
"Ice3!"
No effect...
"M-Meteo..."
"No!"Trowa yelled.
"It will destroy you!" Yang yelled.
"I have no choice..."replied Tellah concentrating all his magic power to that one sacred and deadly spell."Meteo!"
A rain of fire balls shot through the room striking every inch of Golbez striking him down like a doll.
"I-Impossible!!"Golbez muttered."Ugh... How could he know meteo...?"
Tellah fell feebily to the floor all strenght torn away from his own body.
"Tellah!"exclaimed Trowa.
The rest of the group surrounded him.
"It matters not. I have the Crystal... Heero." Golbez looked toward where Heero had stood but now he was unconcious on the floor."The meteo broke my spell over him. So be it; he no longer serves any purpose. Mark me, Trowa. Someday I will destroy you."Golbez turned to leave but Trowa tried to stop him."Impudent fool!"Golbez blasted a spell and amde Trowa hit hard up against the wall and then walked over to the weakened body ready to kill... but stopped.
"Ugh... I... can't..."muttred Trowa.
"You..."
Trowa looked up at him confused.
"What is going---agh!"Golbez clutched his head in pain and then stopped resting his eyes back down to Trowa."Next time for certain."he muttered then left the room.
Trowa stood up slowly.
"Trowa..."muttered Yang.
"Y'alright there?"asked Cid.
"Yeah....Meteo must have weakened him."Then it hit him."Tellah!"He rushed back over.
"...I failed.."muttered tellah between hard choked gasps.
"Keep still!"Yang exclaimed.
"I'm such a fool...I lost myself...in hatred. Avenge my daughter for me... I beg you...."Tellah gasped his last words and then his body went limp to the floor.
"Tellah!"yelled Trowa.
"Get up, you old..."muttered Cid.
Yang fell silent.
"I'll bet yer daughter's showerin' you with praise right now."
"Tellah, Anna....On my life...we will avenge you!"Trowa said.
A slight groan from the other side of the room caught their attention and Trowa went over to where Heero was.
"Heero!Heero!"Trowa called.
Heero had now regained a standing position."Trowa...I...I don't know what to--"Heero started. ,P> "It wasn't your fault. You were hypnotized."Trowa told him.
"But...I retained my consiousness. Duo...I can't believe I..."muttered Heero."...he will never forgive me..."
"Where is he?"asked Trowa.
Suddenly it hit Heero. Duo was in danger.
"Beyond these doors! We must hurry!"yelled Heero running to the door. He opened it up and ran in, the group followed quickly behind to see Duo far in the ack of the room tied to a guilotin e about to fall.
"DUO!!"yelled Heero slicing quickly trough the ropes and hauling Duo close to himself and to safety, just as Duo was pulled from the area the guilotine fell with emense force.
Heero looked down at Duo.
"I knew you would soon come to your senses Heero. It hurt me so to see this happening to you..."Duo said and Heero hushed him placing a finger over his lips and moved down kissing Duo.(1)
"I missed you...the real you."muttered Duo.
"And, I realized...I..."Heero replied in a slight whixper.
Trowa watched in silence.
Then Cid inturupted." 'I' what!? Spit it out!"
Heero and Duo laughed a bit and looked over at the others. Duo blinked for a moment."Heero...the spell...? How did you?"
"Tellah's Meteo broke Golbez's spell.."Trowa told him.
"But I was still aware. Yet...I wanted to prove myself to you...that I was strong...I wanted to do it at all costs...I....I only wanted you."explained Heero.
"Heero...forget everything...you were always trong...It doesn't matter to me. I only wanted you close. So Heero. Let's fight together."Duo explained.
Heero sighed."After all that I've done...It's too late."
Duo frowned.
"Oy! Save the corny drama for later! We gotta scram!"Cid told them.
"Let's go Heero.8said Trowa.
Heero sighed.
"We need your help more than ever now."
"Trowa...Duo... thank you."
They finished preparing to leave but a shrill laughter arose in the room and a gust of wind began to blow."It seems Master Golbez has underestimated you."
Heero held his dragoon lance in one hand."The Devil of Wind, Valvalis!"
"You disappoint me, Heero. Submitting to a weak imbecile, despite all your power."
"I've simply come to my senses. I've grown sick of siding with freaks like you!"
"You snotty little wretch. I'll enjoy killing you all. With the old man and his meteo gone you have no chance."
"You forgot. Fighting in the air is my specialty too."
Suddenly the wind grew harder and quicker and a woman appeared in front of them. She had long golden hair almost to the floor, she had peircing deadly blue eyes. Her cloths were few but her evil aura was strong. She wove a hand in the air and a tornado shape surrounded her body.
Trowa instantly began to fight not even able to get near the strong wind and Valvalis quickly sent them through the air with a strong gust of wind.
Duo stepped forward his white magic restoring the groups vitality and strength.
"Don't attack her!"ordered Heero.
"B...but why!?"asked Trowa.
"I'll get her."With that Heero jumped into the air and landing in the center of the tornado and they heard a shril cry of pain and the tornado stopped and Heero jumped back, watching as Valvalis clutched her side in pain where it seemed Heero had attacked her.
"You don't seem so tough Valvalis. When your up against someone stronger than you are you just all talk."commented Heero.
She lashed forward with her claws. Heero simply dodged and knocked her to the floor. Blood now had began to drip from her mouth. She whipped it angrily clenching her fists.
"Nice try Valvalis."muttered Heero.
"Ah!"Trowa ran from behind stabbing her through the back and quickly reteiving his blade."Hmph..."
She fell to the floor."It's not over... The last Devil of Elements still remains! regardless, you'll never leave here alive!"With those words she laughed the smae shrill laugh then her body slowly stopped moveing.
Just then the tower began to shake violently.
"It's collapsing!"exclaimed Trowa.
"Dammit!"cursed Heero.
"That fuckin' broad!"Cid yelled.
"Everyone, hold onto me!"Duo told them. They all did.
"Exit!"Duo chanted and with a flash of light they were gone...

The group appeared inside a familiar room.
"What the...Is this...?"muttered Trowa.
"yes, it's your room in baron."said Duo.
"Well I'll be juggered!"exclaimed Cid.
"Trowa, we still have our work cut out for us."reminded Heero.
"Is it about the Crystals?"asked Cid taking a seat in a chair.
"Yeah."
"We've lost Troia's Earth Crystal to Golbez which means he now holds all the crystals."said Trowa.
Heero shook his head."Not quite. He only has four."
"You mean, there are more?"asked Duo.
"Of course! So, the legends are true after all!"muttered Cid.
"Right...The Dark Crystals."said Heero.
"Alright, listen up. The Crystals of this world are those of light--of the "surface", so to speak."said Cid.
"So, there's a whole set of Dark Crystals as well."muttered Trowa.
"Exactly. So you see, he only has half of the Crystals."explained Heero.
"Well, we now know they exist, but where the hell do we find 'em?"asked Cid.
"They lie under the surface of the earth...in the underworld."explained Heero.
"Underground?!You sure about this?"asked Cid.
"I overheard Golbez. He also said that when all of the Crystals of light and darkness are gathered, the path to the moon will open."
"Literally, a path to the moon?"asked Trowa.
"I don't know. But this item's the key to unlocking it, supposedly."said Heero holding out a key to them."You're suppose to use it somewhere to open the path to the underworld."
"Whjere exactly?"asked Yang.
Heero looked at them."I wish I knew..."
hey all sighed.
Cid stood up."Ah, no worries. We'll just fly around the world on the enterprise 'til we find somethin'."explained Cid.
"But we lost the airship near the tower."reminded Trowa.
"My beloved's equipped with auto-pilot. I'll bet she's flown back here already."
"Cid, what would we do with out you?"laughed Duo.
Cid grinned."Heh heh. Alright let's rest up for our journey to the underworld."
"I still don't understand. What stopped Golbez from finishing me off at the tower."muttered Trowa.
Duo looked at him confused."Trowa?"
"Nevermind. Let's get some rest."

Trowa stood out on the balcony of a part of the castle staring out into the deep darkness of the stary night sky. His mind confused and his heart filled with dorrow and worry.
"Are you ok?"a voice asked from behind.
Trowa turned around."Oh...Duo, what are you doing up?"
"I saw you weren't in your room so I went to look for you, is there something on your mind?"Duo asked.
"Not...really."
Duo sighed."...Alot has happened, huh?"
"Yeah...."
"Are you sure there's nothing wrong...? You know If you need to talk I'll always listen and try and help out in any way that I can."
"I know that Duo."
"Then what's bothering you?"
Trowa sighed."I said it was nothing."
"Fine...I'll leave you alone."Duo turned to leave.
"Hey, Duo...wait..."
"Hm?Trowa?"
"...Y...you...love Heero...right?"
Duo smiled."Yes. I do. Why do you ask?"
"..I was starting to ... fell the same way about..."Trowa's voice lowered as he talked and he stopped turning away from Duo and looking out over the town of Baron.
"It was Quatre wasn't it?"
"...Dammit! I promised to protect him and I failed!"
"Trowa, it wasn't your fault...don't blame yourself... besides...Quatre's got to be alive, he didn't seem to be the type to give up so easily. I'm sure we'll fine him. I'm sure of it. You can't just get yourself down and think negatively, it won't help. ok?"
Trowa nodded. Duo's advice always seemed to help. Duo as well as Heero were like his brothers, they all grew up together at Baron. They would always stick together til the very end.
The next morning came quickly and the group now fully refreshed and ready forthe upcoming battles left Baron and in search for a way to the underworld to retrieve the Drak Crystals before Golbez and save the world from being destroyed.
