"You never cease to amuse me..."
"Golbez!"Trowa yelled.
"When the cat is away, the mice will play. The game ends now."
The bridge began to fall and the group all began to fall to the firey depths below but suddenly something caught them quickly.
"Whooey! Doesn't get any closer than that!"
Duo groaned and opened his eyes and slowly sat up."Cid!"
Cid then noticed the missing member of the group."Where's Yang?"
Duo lowered his head and began to sob quietly, Heero then put his arm around him.
"...He sacrificed himself to save the dwarves." explained Trowa.
Cid sighed."...We've lost another good man. And who is he?" Cid looked at the blonde boy.
Trowa turned his head to look at Quatre and smiled."Quatre, summoner of mist."
Just then a sound of airships approached. Cid glared and looked to see that the red wings were coming. "Ahh, persistant runts!"
Cid took hold of the controls and the chase started.
"Can we shake 'em?!" asked Heero.
"I don't know. They've definitly upgraded the Red Wings."replied Cid.
Quatre turned to Cid."They're catching up!"
"Doggonit!"Cid snarled.
They flew close to the area which lead to the over world surface.
"The engines nopt gonna last! Trowa, take over!" Cid then proceeded, after Trowa took the wheel, to the far end of the airship.
"Cid!"Duo called out.
"Where are you going?!" Trowa demanded.
"Once she flies outta here to the surface, I'm gonna seal the entrance with this bomb!"
"Wait!" Duo ran over to Cid.
"Oh yeah, return to Baron afterward and talk to my men."
"Cid!!" Duo cried out.
"Take good care of each other... Duo, Heero, Trowa and you Quatre, goodluck."
"No! There has to be another way!"yelled Trowa.
"Cid, please don't!" Quatre called out.
"Hey, I'm uncle Cid to you, lad!" Cid grinned."Remeber! Head for Baron immediatly!"
Cid then jumped off the side of the ship with the bomb."Now this is what I call goin' out with a BANG! HEH HEH HEH heh he...h.." The bomb then went off giving the group just enough time to escapse to the surface.
"Cid..." muttered Duo.
"Why...?" Quatre asked.
Heero sighed."Everyone rushing towards death..."
"Let's head to Baron." Trowa said to them taking his hands back to the controls.
"Trowa's right, Cid asked us to go to Baron and we'll go to Baron!" Quatre explained to them.

They entered Baron castle and talked with Cid's workers and come to find out they had been ordered to attach a hook to the enterprise.
They worked through the night to attach the hook and it's controls, Trowa observed the work and it was soon finished.
"It's done. Now you can hoist and carry the hovercraft."Trowa was shown the controls and quickly caught on to the new device."With both vehicles you can pretty much go anywhere now, even the cave of Eblan by the Tower of Babil." The two workers of Cid's smiled.
Trowa frowned."There's something I must tell you both. It's about Cid...He's--"Trowa was then cut off.
"He's impossible. Yes, we know. With all that crazy energy, I can't imagine he'll ever check out. Please baby-sit him awhile longer." The two workers then ran off.
"...uh. Maybe we should go."muttered Quatre.
"Right. Eblan...? Wasn't that what they said?" asked Trowa.
"Yeah! Eblan is south west of here! Come on let's go!"Duo said.
Heero rose an eyebrow."How'd you know where Eblan was?"Duo just smiled.
"I just do."

They picked up the overcraft which they had previously left at the base of the mountain near Damcyan. Then head off in direction to Eblan and saw what they expected.
"Eblan's in ruins..."Duo muttered.
"I suspected that much..."replied Trowa.
They slowly lowered the over craft to the ground then landed the airship as well. They all boarded the hovercraft and flew across the shallow waters quickly and entered the large cave ahead of them; the cave of Eblan.
The cave was unusually quiet, except for the times when they needed to fend themselves off from cave monsters; swarms of bats, and other strange creatures.
"I wonder where all the people of Eblan are hat weren't killed by Baron's attack are?" muttered Duo as they proceeded to the next room.
"That might answer you're question."said Quatre pointing to a man standing guard in a navy blue uniform; Eblan designed.
"Who goes there?!"demanded the soldier."Oh...humans...proceed."
Trowa and Heero walked by and Duo and Quatre nodded a thank you.
They picked up any neccassry supplies and also learned that the prince of Eblan had left on ahead to slay a monster...
Exiting to go further into the cavern they soon came across voices and found what supposeovly looked like the price of Eblan and a strange red caped man... that almost looked familiar.
"Rubicant! At last...!"
The capped man looked quite puzzled at the young prince."Pardon, have we met before?"
"I am Wufei, Prince of Eblan!"
Rubicant shrugged."No, I don't recall that name."
"It doesn't matter 'cause you're dead!"Wufei took out twin swords and held them up then changed at Rubicant. Just as it seemed the swords would cut Rubicant down he moved quickly and shot a fire spell at Wufei which as stunned for a moment from the spell.
"Flame!" Wufei shot a firey wall which surrounded Rubicant, yet it had no effect.
"Poor technique, This is how it's done! Scorch!" A flaming twister surrounded Wufei making him unable to move and making him weakfrom the incredible heat of the attack.
"Argh!"
"I must say I'm quite impressed. Continue your training. I look forward to our next meeting." With a flash of red light Rubicant had disappeared.
"Come back!" Wufei demanded angerily but then collapsed to the ground.
Trowa and the others rushed over to aide the prince.
"Are you alright!?" asked Trowa a little worried.
"I lost...Damn...ho are you all?" asked Wufei sitting up weakly.
"We're after Rubicant too."said Quatre.
"Stay out of this! He's mine!"exclaimed Wufei.
Heero crossed his arms."Well, you obviously don't know with whom you're dealing. He's one of the four fiends of elements."
Wufei laughed slightly."You take me for some sissy prince? I'm the rightful heir to the throne of Eblan, famed for its ninjutsu for generations. So buzz off! I can take care of myself!"
"Stop it!"exclaimed Quatre angrily. Then looked down."Tellah, Yang, Cid...They're all gone...Please. No more..."Quatre then began to cry.
"Hey..."muttered Wufei.
"Quatre..."muttered Duo.
Quatre continued to cry and Troa walked over to the blonde and hugged him. Trowa looked over at Wufei."Rubicant is the strongest fiend. The odds might be against us, but somehow we must recover the crystals."
Wufei sighed."Alright, I'll let you all in on this. I can't bear to see him cry."
Heero laughed slightly."He sure talks big for a guy who just got worked. Duo, give him a hand."
Duo nodded."Cure!"
Wufei stood up fully recovered from the previous fight."Sweet!Not one but two pretty boys in the party." He smiled."Alright let's bust in there!"
Quatre sighed and looked up at Trowa."Gee, I don't know about him..."
Theyn entered through the cavern and found themselves into the Tower of Babil once again, yet nort sure which floor or where they were at. It also seemed as if there was no way into the next room.
"How do we get in?"asked Trowa looking around the empty room.
Wufei laughed slightly."Watch." He stepped back a bit."Ready?" They nodded and Wufei ran and jumped over the wall and to the next room.
They all looked a biut shocked but followed him.
"Does anyone know where to go?" Duo asked.
"Well, all we do is follow the pathways and we'll be fine." replied Wufei.
"Gee...sounds fun...I bet he has no clue where he's going."muttered Quatre."He's going to lead us to our deaths..."

"We rest here everyone..."Trowa sighed and sat down on the floor in a room, which held a protected seal to it, no monsters or creatures could enter.
They all stepped in the room and also sat down.
"Do you think it's any further, Trowa?" Quatre questioned, looking at Trowa.
"I'm not sure. The Tower of Babil is difficult to travel through." replied Trowa.
Quatre sighed and brushedsome dirt from his cheek.
"Do you plan on coming with us after you defeat Rubicant, Wufei?" Duo asked.
"Of course! I want to help the earth just as much as any of you! Defeating Rubicant is just a vengence I need to fulfill."
Quatre muttered something under his breath for no one to hear.
"Actually Duo,"said Heero."We have a goal to defeat Rubicant too. He is one of the four fiends. He is a side step to our journey and I must say, if we left him alive he would surely interfier greatly. So I'm sure he will be waiting for us. I know for a fact."
Duo nodded."I'm sure we will win too! We can not fail..."

"Is that...?"
Duo ran over to a large doorway, which lie at the top of a staircase. Suddenly a light flashed and Duo backed off joining the others which just caught up. Before them stood two humans.
"Wufei.." one spoke.
Wufei gasped and pushed past the others."Father!Mother!"
"Thank heavens...You're alright..." his mother, the Queen of Eblan said as Wufei approached them.
"You're...alive?"Wufei asked a bit in disbelief.
"Come with us, Wufei" his mother said her arm outstretched.
His father nodded."Yes...we must go now."
Wufei blinked."Where?"
"TO HELL!" a strong pressense enveloped his parents and their eyes glew red.
Trowa pulled Wufei back towards them cautiously.
They all pulled their weapons out to defend themselves.
"Fools! Burn to ashes!" a blaze of fire shot at them all knocking them to the ground.
Wufei stood up quickly."What's going on!? Mother! Father!"
"Wufei! We have...we have to fight them!"Trowa demanded.
Wufei slammed his fists to the floor."Dammit!"
Quatre stepped uo,"Ice2!" The spell was shot at them but was quickly terminated."Damn!"
Wufei stood up."It's me! Wufei! Your son!" he yelled.
Duo placed a arrow in the bow and shot it but was quickly knocked away.
"Trowa! What are we going to do?! Nothing seems to work!"Quatre exclaimed.
Wufei lowered his head."...Flame!" Wufei shot a flame wall that enveloped his parents bodies and making them fall to the floor. They slowly then began to regain consiousness.
"Wufei..." The king muttered."We are no longer human... We no longer belong here."
His mother sighed."I'm sorry Wufei..."
Wufei was silent.
"We must go now," his father explained."Eblan lies in good hands. Do your best for the people."
"Don't go!"Wufei yelled.
His father began to vanish slowly.
"I love you." his mother said.
"Mother! I love you!" Wufei called back. He then fell silent again as she vanished as well.
"Wufei..."muttered Duo.
Just then a circular flame appeared in front of them and as it faded the figure of Rubicant was uncovered."Lugae...how dare he..."
Wufei turned to him in anger."Rubicant! You sick bastard!!"
Rubicant sighed."It was Lugae who turned your parents into monsters. I am sorry for your loss. Know that my only wish is to fight fair."
"To hell with your self-righteous crap!"
"I admire your spirit,"Rubicant sighed again."But anger never bears true strength, and it blinds you."
"Shut up!" Wufei glared at him, pulled out his swords."I'll show you the power of anger!"
"Well, this is interesting, still, nothing can penetrate my cloack of flame, not even ice." He grinned."Do not disappoint me."
Rubicant shielded himself with the cloak.
"Hey! If he's fire element... then....Ice! Ice must work!"Quatre smiled.
"Wait," Trowa stoppedhim/"He said nothing penetrates his cloak...not even ice. So we have to get him when he's not covered by that cloak." Trowa explained.
Quatre looked up at Trowa.You...always know...I trust you...
A blast of fire shot towards them but Duo stopped it by using a reflect spell sending the flame away from them.
Heero held his lance tightly and jumped in the air. Rubicant looked but suddenly Quatre held his arm down with his whip as a distraction. Heero lanced down on Rubicant slicing the cloak from the body."No!" Rubicant yelled.
"Now Quatre!"Trowa looked at Quatre which released the whip and stood back.
Wufei began to attack Rubicant to keep him away from stopping Quatre's spell.
"...Ice2!!"Quatre called out sending a strong blast of frigid ice to Rubicant.
Rubicant fell to the floor, his body as if made from fire began to evaporate."Though you are five, you have defeated me as one. I am most impressed. Still, you will never..stop...master Golbez. 'Til we meet again..."
Wufei fell silent, and muttered."Father...Mother. You can rest in peace now."
Suddenly a voice called to them."Your highness!" A elderly man with four eblan soldiers appraoched them.
"Gramps!" exclaimed Wufei a bit surprised.
"Where is he!? Where is Rubicant!?"
"We got him. It's over."
"Splendid! Splendid, your highness!"
"They helped me out." Wufei turned to Trowa and the others. He then thought for a moment."So, who is Golbez?"
"Rubicant's master."Heero stated."He plans to gather the worlds crystals to reach the moon."
"Why the moon?" asked Wufei.
"We don't know exactly. He seeks some great power there." said Trowa.
"We have to stop him!" Quatre added.
"So, he's the mastermind behind all this. I'm going with you."Wufei said.
"But, your highness, Eblan needs you." Wufei's grandfather reminded.
"That can wait! We've gotta stop this guy before it's too late!"
"But--"
"Ahh, stop worrying and go home. I'll be fine."
"Very well...Sirs, please take care of our prince."
The soldiers called to Wufei."Good forune, Your Highness."
"Yea, Yeah."Wufei waved to them, then they left."Okay, let's go bust up Golbez."
"We need to get the Crystals first." Quatre sighed.
"Whatever. Lead the way."
They walked into the next room and found themselves in the crystal room. The floor suddenly began to crummble beneath them.
"It's a trap!"Trowa yelled.
The floor then collapsed and they fell to the floor below.
"Damn, that hurt!" Wufei groaned as he stood up.
Heero helped Duo to stand."That was a nasty drop.."
Trowa helped Quatre to his feet, and they all decided to continue on their way. They ventured to the next room and found themselves to a airship dock underground.Trowa blinked in surprise."An enemy airship."
They walked voer to it.
"Let's bust outta here with this!" suggested Wufei.
"That's stealing!" Quatre crossed his arms.
"Who cares."
Wufei walked onto the ship first and took over the controls.
"Could it be a trap?"asked Duo.
"Hey, she's not in bad shape. Let's call her...Falcon! What do you think, Quatre?"
Trowa looked at Quatre who looked rather annoyed."Oh, whatever!" Quatre rolled his eyes.
"Let's get going." Trowa told them. They all boarded the ship.
The ground began to open up and the airship flew out, they found themselves in the underworld.
We can't fly over the magma..."said Heero.
"Then we should go to the Dwarven Castle, we could probably get help from King Giott."said Trowa.
"Dwarves Castle it is!" Wufei called out.
They flew to the castle and got off the airship, and went inside. They approached the throne room and was greeted by King Giott."Rally-ho!" He exclaimed."You recovered the Crystals?"
Trowa shook his head."No, I'm sorry."
"Golbez is persistant. Trying to open the sealed cave. A matter of time before he suceeds! I want you to get the Crystal before he does. Luca."
His daughter looked at her dad."Yeah?"
"Your necklace."
"Here." She handed her dad the necklace.
"The key to open the sealed cave. Without this necklace, no one can enter. We must protect the last Crystal." Giott handed Trowa the necklace.
Trowa took it and nodded."We'll dop our best."
"We will hold off the enemy. You head Southwest to the sealed cave."
