"Um... well... if this is so..." the teacher managed to say after she cleared her throat several times. She was just too surprised. She thought that stoic boy wasn't capable to love someone let alone of joking. She tend to judge at first sight and all she could see in Heero was his emotionless stare and the cold appearance he had. So she assumed he wasn't able to have emotions or a sense of humor. What a misappraisal!

She cleared her throat once again. "In that case I suppose you'll sit somewhere where she isn't able to see you so she won't get distracted. I guess it won't help anyway..." She looked around. "There is an empty seat in the fourth row next to Frederic."

"But ..." Duo tried to interfere.

"It's fine with me," Heero answered before the fake girl could say any more. "I can see her back from there, that's all I need."

He grinned and went to the offered seat in the second row from the back and cursed himself for the last sentence. It had slipped onto his lips before he could stop them. But they had a much better effect on the other students than he'd expected. They all stared at him as he sat down, most boys in astonishment and anger, the girls as well in astonishment but with adoration instead of hatred. Some of the girls even had the same look on their faces as Relena had when they met in school the first time.

[Oh my God! Please no!]

*One* was okay, two maybe, too, but six? He liked Relena. With all of his might. He loved her for her pacifism and indestructible believe in peace, freedom and the good of every being. He loved the fact that she would sacrifice her own life to safe *anyone*, especially him. She was the nicest person he'd ever met. Duo was nice as well, at least sometimes, but he could be *very* annoying and disturbing if he wanted to. Heero was totally surprised how good he could contain his usual self and play this nice young lady. He knew it must take up *all* of the American's willpower to do so. And he knew how relieved Duo was to forget this mask when the two of them were alone. Unfortunately he'd turn to his normal voice again as well. {1} Maybe it helped him not to forget who he was.

The teacher noted that all faces had turned to look at Yuichi. She sighed out loud.

"Would you *please* look at me? I'd like to start my work..."

Finally she got all the attention she needed and started teaching math. Integrals to be accurate. Something that looked extremely easy at the beginning but was very tricky in the end. Heero used one per cent of his mind to listen to what she said, twenty-nine per cent to plan the rest of the day and seventy per cent to figure out how he felt about Duo and what he would do against it.

He still didn't like the idea that he might be bisexual let alone gay. So he focused half of the part of his brain that was thinking about Duo on Relena instead. He pictured her sand-colored hair, her ocean-blue eyes and her nicely shaped figure. His dream-girl had the same shape as her. At least the nights before the last. Heero still felt cold sweat running down his spine when he called back what had happened to the beautiful woman in his dreams. She turned into a man! How yucky! He almost choked when he remembered details. This too tight asshole that had trapped his manhood and the other penis that was aiming at him as if it was some kind of weapon. Ugly. At least he hadn't seen the other one spilling his seed on their bellies.

[Wuah! Help! This *is* ugly! I don't want to think such a crap! Go away!]

Suddenly he felt something strange at the center of his body.

He slowly looked down so that no one else would notice and he almost screamed out loud when he realized what he was feeling. His trousers seemed much too tight all of a sudden and they built a tent at his groin. He almost groaned as he shifted his legs to hide his erection. Then he focused his whole mind on what the teacher was saying. And it worked! Slowly he felt his trousers becoming more comfortable and after feeling normal again he tried to find out what had caused his sudden erection. He usually had this only when Relena was around. He must be sexually frustrated to get this when he was thinking about a very *unpleasant* occasion with a man.

[Or a masochist...]

That might be true. He tended to hurt himself, was suicidal (at least not *that* much anymore) and lived with Duo as a roommate. The only thing that made him think he was some kind of normal sometimes was his love for Relena. They have managed to become friends during the last two years but he wouldn't *dare* to ask her to be his girlfriend for she was a powerful politician. Well, he and the other pilots were some kind of popular, too, but he still considered himself to be a mere soldier, a very high-skilled one of course, and he couldn't believe that their love could become something that might last forever. So to prevent the pain of separation for her he never confessed his feelings towards her. Thus he was the only one to bear pain. He truly was a masochist sometimes.

The first lesson ended.

Before he was sure what had happened he was surrounded by almost every boy and girl of his class, asking questions about Diana. They wanted to know especially how they met, how they fell in love which means how he was able to capture her heart.

Just Duo sat in his own seat and had a very content look on his face. Heero glared at him.

/No, I won't rescue you./

Heero's little joke had made the other's really believe that they were a couple. That was enough. Duo just hoped he would not get any more `unwanted offers´. He was sure that at least the boys of *his* class would stop...

"You don't deserve to be her boyfriend," one boy insulted Heero making him look up to the speaker.

/Wha...?/

"You look weak. I can much better protect her from guys like you!"

Duo remembered the speaker as Jean who was one of the boys that hadn't stopped asking him out for a date even as he had said he had a boyfriend. He had blond hair, dangerous green eyes, was about a head taller than himself and Heero and looked like he had too much anabolic for breakfast.

/That I have a boyfriend was a lie. But an emergency lie which had the purpose to save my life.../

He saw Heero giving Jean his Death Glare as the posh blonde boy kept on insulting him. Duo really had to contain himself from yelling at this idiot for he was sure that Heero was able to handle the situation on his own. But he hadn't anticipated what Heero was going to do.

Slowly, as if he was in some kind of liquid, the Japanese stood up and grasped the blonde's throat. Duo could see and hear how the boy tried to breath as he was lifted off the ground.

"Do you still think I am weak?" Heero asked in his ice-cold tone that could scare the bravest man in the universe.

The blonde look down at him in agony for a few moments. Then he slowly shook his head. By that he was lowered carefully to the ground.

As if nothing had happened, Heero sat down again and let the questions crackle against him. Now and then he answered one of the those that was about him alone but he wouldn't say anything about how he and Diana had met nor how she became his girlfriend.

Before his classmates got tired of getting no answers the bell rang and the next lesson started.

~z~

Duo was just surprised how easy everything had went since Heero had said he was his boyfriend. Well, Diana's, that is. No one was bothering the disguised boy anymore. All he had to do was stay close to Heero. The message that they were a couple spread with light-speed. Everywhere the two were seen he could hear whispers.

"Isn't this...?"

"I think so..."

"God! He looks gorgeous!"

"She must be very lucky to have such a handsome boyfriend..."

/WHAT? When did he become more popular than I?/

Duo was jealous.

Not because of the numerous girls that were staring at *his* boyfriend, he could handle that for they were just friends.

He was jealous because Heero drew all the attention Duo used to get. That made him jealous. He was the cheering type, right? It was his role to make friends with everybody, play around, laugh and draw attention. Heero was the one to stand in a quiet corner and survey things. He didn't like to draw attention. Yet Duo could see something very glorious in his friend's eyes.

/He's enjoying this! That's not fair!/

They had reached the cafeteria and stood in line for their lunch. As Duo had expected Heero just chose a salad and a yogurt while he took every meal that was on menu today.

Heero looked at his tray and shook his head.

"Aren't you supposed to act as a girl?" he said without making a sound.

"I'm hungry, I have the money, that's all!" Duo grinned back at him and went to the cashier. Heero followed him closely because Duo had all their money for lunch.

They sat down in a quiet corner of the park to have their meals. It was a big private school so it had a huge lovely park with all sorts of plants a biology-teacher would like to show his students. But now it was springtime and most of these posh kids weren't allowed to go outside because they were allergic to *any* kind of pollen. Luckily Heero and he weren't so they could speak about absolutely everything. Duo changed his voice to his normal one.

"I absolutely liked the way you announced me as your girlfriend," he stated, seeing Heero frown. Duo wasn't sure if it was because of what he said or the sudden change of his voice.

"Hn."

"That was a method even *I* couldn't think of", he added between two bits of his large meal.

Heero just chewed on a radish.

"You should've seen the expression on the teacher's face!" Duo snickered. "It was hilarious! She looked as if you'd announced another war!"

"Don't joke with that," Heero commented.

Duo blinked several times, the fork with his last bite still in his mouth.

"When did *you* develop pacifism?" he wondered out aloud. "Don't tell me. Relena, right?"

Heero nodded. At least they spoke of something else than the two of them being a couple.

"You two hang around quite a lot, ne?"

He was still putting food into his mouth non-stop. Heero thought it did not look like something a girl would do. Yet he nodded to answer Duo's question. The long-haired boy looked thoughtfully. But he said nothing else. Then he seemed to remember something and some kind of an evil grin appeared on his face.

Heero looked at his friend in anxiety.

[What's he up to now?]

"Ne, Yuichi, I have got an invitation from Olivia for a costume party next Saturday. It would be fun if you joined me. And I have the perfect costumes for us both in mind!"

The wicked grin on the chestnut-framed face was a bad omen.

To be continued...

{1} As you might have noticed, I don't like Duo's voice. The Japanese is great but the American... *shudders* I just hope they get him a better one here if Gundam Wing is *ever* on TV in Germany... *sigh*
