Summary: Heero is sent on a mission to meet a girl. Duo is on a mission too... What will happen after they find out that their missions will bring them together?
Notes & comments: This is the first story I post while I do not really know what will happen in upcoming chapters. I just noticed, I suck... It doesn't come out like I want it to... But I'm still in training... *sigh*
I still tend to write on train... I apologize for *any* misspelling or misunderstanding.
Okay, as I said before, I have someonee who corrects my dumb mistakes... (Thank you, Julia!) But I'll publish this as it is now, because I'm visiting my grandparents on Easter and will not have *any* access to the Internet.

In a darkened room with expensive mahogany furniture and closed heavy curtains that covered room-high windows a person whose face was lit only by a communications-screen spoke with a calm voice.

"No. Don't start anything now."

"But everything's set and done!"

"And it will be in a month's time as well."

Before the person on the screen could say anything else the one sitting in a big and extremely comfortable leather chair continued.

"Look. They are much too careful right now. Our every move is being observed. It would be suicidal to start anything *now*. But in about a month or two they will have focused on other things instead. They will have forgotten us entirely. Nobody will have the time to react when we proceed with the project then. But now I want you to keep your people in training and look after their `toys´, they'll need them."

The person on the screen saluted.

"Yes, sir!"

A button was pressed and the screen went black.

"We will have at least one Gundam Pilot on our side then... maybe two..."

The chair screeched as the calm person laughed evilly.

Heero's hand hadn't left Duo's waist since they had met this morning for breakfast. In fact he had even prepared his breakfast single-handedly. Duo didn't complain though he wondered slightly how Heero managed to put butter on his toast while the bread kept slipping over his plate, almost falling off it. It didn't look good but Heero had eaten it and he seemed full so it must have worked.

While their limousine took them to school Heero's hands didn't rest only on Duo's waist. They caressed his side and then - when the driver didn't look - Heero kissed him passionately. While Duo focused ninety-nine per cent of his mind on responding to this breath-taking kiss the remaining per cent wondered where Heero had hidden this devotion and passion. It must have waited for the right moment to be come out. {1} However Duo liked this new aspect of Heero's personality and couldn't stop his body from reacting to it. His hands moved over the adorable muscles that were hidden in the restricting school uniform and he desperately searched for every spot of bare skin, again. All the while he felt Hero's hands all over his body, slipping underneath the fabric of his skirt and shirt. He was almost sitting on Heero's lap when the car stopped.

Hastily and ashamed they sorted their clothes but still looked kind of tousled as they walked over the school yard. And still Heero's hand didn't leave Duo's waist.

After the morning procedure of greeting friends they finally got into the class-room and Heero had to let go of Duo. But before that he pulled him into another deep kiss which they both broke reluctantly and added several tiny feather-like kisses as Heero had to go to his seat. There he noticed the surprised look he had gotten from Jean.

"Man, Yuichi! Yesterday it seemed like I would have a chance on Diana and now you two are even closer than *anyone* I've ever seen." {2}

Heero just kept staring at Duo's hair-covered back.

"Hn."

"What the hell did you do?" Jean wanted to know. "I mean, you turned her mood around in less than a day. She now clings to you like you're the stick that keeps her from drowning." He sighed audibly. "Can you give me some advice?"

Feeling many pairs of eyes on him, Heero stated after some time of thinking, "Be yourself, listen to your heart, finish your tasks and always wear clean underwear."

The boys around them started to laugh but Jean just looked at him incredulously, raising his eyebrows.

"You mean... You and Diana...?"

Heero hid his blush by looking down on the desk. He didn't want to talk about it. He was no prankster that liked to show off with his previously non-existent sex-life. But he bet that Jean would if he had one. Smirking to himself he almost missed the question that Jean whispered into his ear, eyes focused on Diana who was talking cheerfully with one of her friends.

"Her first?"

[Am I?]

Heero suddenly noticed that he didn't know. He froze, not moving the slightest inch, his mind processing the possibility of that and its consequences. *He* never had sexual intercourse with anybody because he didn't even have the time to think about lately. And he didn't have somebody to have sex with until now. But Duo? It seemed he had had a crush on that girl who worked at a junk yard. Heero knew that Duo had lived with her, before he started to work for the Preventers and moved into a house with Heero and Wufei. Trowa still lived at his sister's circus and Quatre was completely occupied with his own company. Heero had wondered what had made him leave this nice girl Hilde. Did they have some kind of fight or what? But more importantly, did they have sex?

He thought of every aspect, every possibility of Duo having sex with anybody else and figured out that it didn't matter to him. He loved Duo for who he was and nothing that had happened in his past would change that. It had been *their* first time, that fact was for sure and it had been great. He definitely looked forward to the next time.

[Maybe tonight...]

His mind trailed off to all the wonderful things he could do with Duo, causing little breathless moans and soft touches. His trousers tented once again but this time he didn't care the slightest bit. He wanted this daydream to become real and he almost didn't notice that the teacher had arrived and started the lesson.

As soon as they had a break Heero went over to Duo to feel him in his arms.

"I've missed you," he whispered, burying his head into soft chestnut locks.

"It's been only forty-five minutes..."

"Too long," he muttered before he kissed Duo softly.

They didn't even notice that everybody was staring at them. All that mattered to them was their kiss. Only the loud cough of the teacher standing behind them made them break it.

"I suppose you get back to your seat, Yuichi. The lesson started five minutes ago."

Lunch was different than before. Duo had problems with eating his huge pile of food and Heero... Well, Heero didn't eat at all.

"Hee... *hmpf*... stop... *ah*... I'm hungry... *aie*! Please... *AH*!"

Heero looked up from Duo's shoulder where he had been busy marking the slender neck after he had kissed his boyfriend's mouth and jaw-line.

[Or is he my girlfriend right now?]

"Duo?"

"Hm?" Duo mumbled, shoving food into his mouth.

"Are you my girlfriend or my boyfriend now?"

Duo choked his fries.

"Your boyfriend of course!" he insisted and stared at Heero, obviously rethinking this. "Well, maybe your girlfriend in front of my uncle, my nanny, our classmates and teachers and everybody else here, but I'm definitely your boyfriend when we're alone!"

"That's what I guessed, " mumbled Heero and dove down to kiss the slender neck again.

[His mouth isn't occupied and he can eat, ne? This tastes much better than the junk-food we get here...]

"Heero... AH!"

This evening they went shopping since Duo decided he needed to give something to Heero that marked their relationship. And since all his personal belongings were still at their house he exclaimed that he would find the perfect gift for him in town. Heero had just shrugged and agreed. Every second with Duo was the best gift he could get but shopping *with* Duo was alright with him as well.

Right now they were walking through a shopping mall stopping now and then to look at something.

"Hey, look! Chocolate Easter bunnies!"

Duo freed himself out of Heero's embrace and ran to a shop that had said candies in its window. He pressed his hands against the window and stared at the chocolate bunnies like he had never seen one before. Heero followed him at a normal pace smiling because such simple things like candy could make his love this excited. At this very second Heero made candy his favorite food.

[Candy-covered Duo... hm... delicious!]

"Can I get one?" Duo asked. He looked like a very little child with his big round eyes.

Heero smiled. "You have the money, why don't you buy one?"

Duo pouted just a little bit. "Baka."

"What?"

"I said you're a baka."

"I heard that. But why?"

"Because I wanted *you* to buy me one of those, baka"

"Oh."

Heero blushed slightly and then went inside the store and asked the salesperson to show him the biggest Easter Bunny he had. He could see that Duo's eyes were about to pop out of their sockets when the clerk returned with a two foot tall bunny. As he heard the price of this giant he thought he hadn't understood it correctly. He gulped hard and asked the man if there happened to be one that was a bit cheaper and much handier. Finally he got what he wanted, paid for it and left the shop to show Duo his trophy. It was a little bunny wrapped in golden foil and had a tiny golden bell on a red ribbon around its neck. Duo hugged it and smiled so Heero was happy.

"Ne, Hee-chan, I thought I'd die when I saw this giant bunny."

"Me, too."

Duo chuckled.

"Ya oughta've seen your face! I didn't know that your ...mask... was able to show so much shock!"

"Hn."

"This one's much better. I can at least carry it," Duo grinned as he took a closer look at his present. "But I still haven't got anything for you!"

Concern didn't look good on Duo's face, Heero decided.

"What do you want? Candy? No, you don't like candy... A book? I guess you don't have much time to read..."

[Not when you're around.]

"Hm... What can you get a Perfect Soldier who has no particular needs as a present...?"

Heero was about to say that he just needed Duo when suddenly a bolt of light seemed to have hit Duo.

"*That*'s it!" he exclaimed. "Come on, I know just the present for you!"

This time it was Duo who grabbed the other's wrist as he pulled Heero with him to a jeweler. There he asked the salesperson something but Heero couldn't hear it. She just nodded, smiled and disappeared somewhere to the back. Duo smiled at Heero who just frowned. He didn't like surprises very much, especially not the ones that Duo had prepared for him. But before he could growl anything the woman returned with a little box in her hands. She showed it Duo, who's eyes brightened and said, "I'll take it!"

Heero was curious to know what was in the box and tried to poke into it but as well the saleswoman as Duo both covered it well whenever they opened it. Finally it disappeared in a paper bag after Duo had given the money to the woman behind the cashier.

"What is this?"

"You'll see."

"Why don't you give it to me now?"

"Have patience, my love. The setting must be right as well!"

Heero sighed as Duo smiled at him and led him out of the mall and over to the nearby park.

As they walked through it Duo seemed to search for something. Then Heero spotted some flowers in a meadow in front of an artificial lake. Duo pulled him to a bench and sat down, facing the water and still smiling.

Heero smiled as well.

"So, what is this `perfect present´ that you didn't want to show me in the mall?"

"Sh! D'you hear that?"

Heero blinked in surprise but did as he was told. He was silent for some moments, hearing the wind whispering in the trees, birds singing in the sky and people talking quietly nearby. It was a peaceful afternoon and Heero would have relaxed, put his arm around Duo and kissed him if he hadn't been so curious about that present.

"I don't hear anything else than nature's sounds."

"That's it. Peace. You only find it at places like this."

Surprised to hear something like that out of Duo's mouth he just stared at the long-haired beauty sitting next to him.

"Aa."

"Here."

Duo handed him the little black box he had bought at the jeweler. Heero's eyes first stayed as long as they could on Duo's face while his head bent down to look at his present. Then he watched excitedly how he opened the box.

Inside lay a simple golden chain with a simple golden cross on it. It looked exactly like the one Duo was wearing.

"Nothing extraordinary but I hope you like it..."

Instead of an answer Heero just kissed Duo's blushing cheek.

"Thank you."

"That's nothing..."

"Not just for this. For being my friend. For letting me love you. For just being you. For everything."

"Hee... ro..."

Heero kissed Duo before he could see the happy tears pouring out of Duo's eyes.

{2} I know a couple just like this... It's hard to be around those two... It seems like they can't take their hands off each other *although* they're together over a year now! *sniff* I WANT A BOYFRIEND!!! ;_; (I could write a whole story just about them... I could write a story about my life! It just doesn't have a plot... I even think it's not really exciting.)
