Author's Note: Gerbils are odd creatures; this fic is the dangerous result of trying to explain their behavior. I gave the gerbils in the story the same names, gender, and personalities of my gerbils, but these aren't my gerbils. They belong to Quatre! ::nods solemnly:: Try to enjoy the fic... Duo was watching Quatre's two pet gerbils. There was a strong looking brown one and a swift footed, agile black one. Normally Duo paid no attention to animals, but these two were strange. The brown one, Goblin, was lying on his back with his legs in the air, looking very dead. The black one, Shade, was on top of him, digging in his fur. Duo studied the animals for a few seconds, and Goblin still didn't move, Duo was sure he was dead. //Gerbils aren't cannibalistic are they?// Duo took the top off of the aquarium that served as a cage and poked his finger toward the pair of animals. Before he even got close to them, Shade dashed off; the black rodent was fast even in an enclosed area. But Duo didn't care about Shade, he was worried about the brown gerbil. Duo's finger went forward, probing the lifeless looking pet. It didn't take him long to find life within the gerbil.

"Yow!" Duo yanked his hand out of the cage, "it bit me!!"

Duo whimpered and looked at his finger. There was a small indentation where Goblin had bit him, but no blood. It hurt like hell anyway, though., so he stuck his finger in his mouth and began sucking on it.

Wufei walked in just then, to find Maxwell sucking on his finger and glaring furiously at a brown gerbil, who stood up on his hind legs and scratched at the glass walls of the cage.

//Hey! Bring that pink thing back! I'm still hungry!!// Shade had been giving him the a delightful screwing, and now that it was disrupted, he expected to get food.

"Maxwell, you're not so weak as to be defeated by a gerbil?!"

Duo winced and refused to meet Wufei's gaze.

Wufei looked into the cage. //How cute!// He reached over to Goblin, who promptly open his jaws to bite Wufei's finger, but Wufei avoided the gerbil's teeth and started petting him. //Maxwell is baka... how could he let this thing get to him?// As he was petting a very appreciative Goblin, the black gerbil approached curiously and began sniffing Wufei's hand. Wufei smiled. //These creatures are so tame...//

Shade found a tasty looking piece of meat and bit down, sinking his teeth into the tender flesh.

A stinging pain shot though Wufei's hand, causing him to shriek and start throwing curses at the black gerbil.

Duo took his finger out of his mouth and laughed at Wufei.

Wufei ignored the blood on his finger and focused his attention on Shade. He soon found that the black gerbil was way too fast to be caught and grabbed Goblin instead. But just as his hand closed about the brown gerbil, Shade popped out from wherever he had been hiding and slid into Wufei's hand. An odd feeling flashed through Wufei's body.

//You steal mine, and I'll steal yours!//

::Wufei and Shade switch positions, Shade becoming human and Wufei gerbil::

Suddenly Goblin was huge. Wufei found himself on top the gerbil. His arms and claw-like hands were buried deep within Goblin's soft coat. The fur felt good between his fingers.

Duo looked at Wufei, confused. The pilot had been replaced by a slender male with shiny black hair, black eyes... in fact, he looked just like Wufei only evil. Uhh... wait, nevermind, he looked exactly like Wufei, so much so that Duo didn't even notice the difference. Duo frowned.

"Wufei, why did you let that brown thing go? My finger still hurts!"

Duo looked at "Wufei's" face, noticing that the other boy had a gleam in his eye, one that Duo had see many times before, but only when Wufei was about to kill a few thousand people. Duo backed away.

"I don't want your justice..."

Shade licked his lips and approached what he assumed to be Wufei's mate, bent on serving that "justice." He wasn't very familiar with these creatures, but Shade, like any sensible gerbil, was able to find the boy's genitals by following the tail. Shade approached Duo and wrapped his human arms and paws around the boy, capturing him. Shade began biting and gnawing at Duo's mouth (genitals!) until he found the tongue.

Duo was stunned. He had never even known Wufei to flirt, and here he was, kissing him. //Since when was he this bold...? Ah... I might as well take advantage of it...// Duo carefully slid an arm around the other pilot and began kissing him back, trying to focus as much lust into it as possible, knowing he would never get another chance like this.

Wufei liked having a furry body beneath him. He "attacked" Goblin and was delighted when the brown gerbil offered no resistance and let Wufei push him down on his back, exposing his underside to Wufei. Wufei nibbled down Goblin's soft body until he came to the gerbil's... *ahem* and, finding it too small, bit down hard.

Goblin squeaked.

//Weak creature!// Wufei began scratching at the brown gerbil.

Goblin responded passionately, and Wufei learned not to underestimate an opponent just because he started out submissive. Wufei soon found himself on the bottom.

Shade pushed Duo to the floor and pinned the boy easily. He then began to comb through the boy's odd fur with his human claws.

Duo felt Wufei's (remember Duo thinks Shade is Wufei) fingertips running over his body in the most sensual fashion, and soon found his clothes torn away. It wasn't long before Shade (in a kawaii bishounen body much like Wufei's) was also bare, and he started stroking Duo's body with his hands and tongue, making sure to get himself well acquainted with every aspect of the human boy's body. //Wow...// Duo loved the attention Wufei was giving him.

//Kill! Kill, kill, kill!// Wufei was one freaky little gerbil, but he was no match for Goblin's strength.

Goblin pinned the feisty black gerbil and began nibbling on him, giving him a very thorough grooming despite Wufei's continued biting and scratching. It wasn't long before Wufei had exhausted himself and just lay down on his back, breathing heavily, unable to resist the brown gerbil any longer.

"Whoa... Wufei, I had no idea you could do that..." a somewhat dazed Duo remarked to the black eyed boy on top of him.

//Wufei?! He thinks I'm that evil, mate-stealing human thing!// Shade narrowed his eyes and glared at the black gerbil in the cage, who was currently being fucked by the larger, brown gerbil. //Goblin, you're so dead...!//

::Shade returns to gerbil form and gives Wufei back his human body::

Wufei suddenly found himself on top of an attractive male. He nuzzled close to the warm body, relieved to be out from under that gerbil long enough to catch his breath. He felt a wet tongue tickling his face and turned his head a few degrees to catch it in his mouth. It was then that he gazed into two glossy, blue-violet eyes and realized who it was that he was tending to. //Maxwell?!// Disgusted, Wufei jerked away and tried to sit up, but Maxwell had already secured his hold on the other pilot. Wufei, unwilling to use the last of his depleted strength to escape, let himself slip into Maxwell's clutches, to remain there until the longhaired boy fell asleep, which would be quite long time; Wufei may have been tired, but Maxwell was *very* energetic.

Shade glared at Goblin, "Squeak?!!" (What were you doing to that human?!!)

Goblin sniffed the air and pressed his paws against the glass, watching the two human boys, "Squeak..." (*says something too obscene to translate clearly*)

Shade approached Goblin and started scratching the brown gerbil with his forepaws, "Squeak!" (I can do that too! You don't need a human!)

Goblin climbed up to the rim of the cage, and noticing the top was still gone, he poked his nose over. //But it was more fun with that creature.//

Shade stared at him, aghast. "Squeak!" (That's dangerous! It's a long drop to the floor from there...)

Goblin knew the dangers, but decided it was worth the risk. He leapt down and landed on Wufei's back. He then dropped down between the two bodies and crawled up until he found their mouths, which happened to be kissing at the moment. Goblin eagerly joined in.

Duo felt something furry crawl up his neck and bite his lip. He choked into Wufei's mouth and pushed the startled boy off him.

"What's that rat doing here?!"

Wufei didn't answer, he just licked his lips and stared at the gerbil.

//Oh no...// Duo saw the look Wufei was giving the gerbil and knew something was wrong.

Goblin dashed toward Wufei and leapt onto his lap to cling happily onto the boy's erection.

Wufei groaned, liking the way Goblin's soft fur brushed against him and enjoying the bony feel of Goblin's paws on his skin.

Duo, having overcome an odd urge to hurl, frowned as he saw Wufei growing harder. //I can't believe this; I'm being outdone by a rodent!// Duo fought a losing war with the surge of jealousy that was growing within him. He grabbed the gerbil by the tail and set him aside.

Wufei felt Goblin being pulled off him and looked at Maxwell curiously. The boy's violet eyes were set and his mouth turned downward in a determined grimace. //What's he up to...?//

Duo wrapped one arm around Wufei's waist, laid the other down upon the boy's thigh, and dipped his head down to catch Wufei in his mouth. He began sucking and stroking the boy with his tongue.

Goblin glared at Duo, furious that the boy had taken *his* spot on Wufei. //Oh well, they're both males... I'll just go find a new spot to hang.//

A sharp pain shot through Duo's body, originating from his crotch.

Wufei felt Maxwell's soft body stiffen and become tense around him.

Goblin sunk his teeth into the tender flesh, wishing his teeth were as sharp as Shade's.

Duo opened his mouth to cry out and nearly swallowed Wufei. //I'm going to kill that goddamn gerbil!// Duo pulled off of Wufei and sat down, glaring at the gerbil between his legs.

Wufei laughed. Maxwell looked absolutely ridiculous. Wufei leaned over and took the boy's mouth, kissing him passionately while Goblin dug his teeth in deeper.

Duo tried to bite Wufei's tongue, desperate to free himself long enough to get rid of Goblin, but Wufei maneuvered his tongue to take minimal damage. Duo found himself hopelessly pinned beneath Wufei.

Shade buried himself in their nest, refusing to watch.

Duo felt the lust of Wufei's forceful kiss and the stinging pain of Goblin's 'kiss' and was completely overwhelmed.

Wufei had Maxwell at his mercy and knew it. As long as Goblin could hang on, Wufei could keep Maxwell pinned. Wufei wasn't about to stop now. He kissed Duo savagely, and continued until his mouth was too sore to continue, then he lay down on top of Maxwell, holding him secure until Goblin tired. The gerbil had a surprising amount of endurance.

Three hours later, Goblin let go, and he, Duo, and Wufei, all exhausted, fell asleep upon one another. They slept quite peacefully, until Quatre and Trowa came to feed the gerbils...
