Summary: Wufei lives with Trowa and Heero (and all three and Duo, work for Preventers) but Trowa and Heero have recently become a couple. After a long and exhausting mission, Wufei comes back to find them, er, busy and ends up leaving the apartment to give them privacy... but where can he go to get some rest? He'll have to move somewhere else, but where? Quatre was staying on L4, Sally was married... that left Duo. It was supposed to be temporary; him staying with Duo... but maybe deep down he doesn't really want it to be temporary...

Wufei sighed as he opened the door to the apartment he shared with Trowa and Heero, freezing in the doorway before he'd even taken a step into the hallway. He'd started to get used to the sounds coming from inside over the last month, but usually when he heard those sounds it was late at night after he was already in bed, and he was able to put his earphones on to pretend that he hadn't heard anything at all. Most of the time it worked... most of the time.
A loud moan echoed through the apartment and he didn't want to know if it'd come from Heero or from Trowa. Quietly he pulled the door shut and locked it so that he was once again standing wearily in the hallway, duffel bag loosely gripped in one hand and keys in the other.
He'd just finished a seven-day mission for Preventers and he was exhausted. All he wanted to do was fall into his bed and sleep for a month straight. Both Trowa and Heero had known he'd be returning that evening, they could have at least waited until he was curled under his covers and oblivious to the world.
Turning, he moved back down the hall to the stairs, briefly thinking of using the elevator to go down the five floors but decided against it because being tired was no excuse for being lazy.
He was almost down the last flight when he missed a step and fell, sending pain up his leg. Sitting on the floor, he debated staying there but knew that if he did, someone would eventually call the police which would lead to a great deal of fun for him in the form of paperwork.
Gritting his teeth, he got to his feet and did his best not to put any weight on his injured ankle. He could go to a hotel, but he knew that he wouldn't feel safe in a place without the kind of security he was used to. And if he didn't feel safe, he would be getting precious little sleep. Quatre wouldn't hesitate to let him stay at his house. He'd said as much when Wufei had visited him a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, Quatre was on L4 for business and would be for about a month. He wouldn't feel right about staying at Quatre's house when he wasn't even there. He could stay with Sally, but she'd only been married a few months. Besides, her husband was intimidated by Wufei and it would be uncomfortable for all three of them. He just needed a place to stay for a week or so, until he'd told Heero and Trowa he was moving and found a new place.
That left, one person on his list of 'safe' people. Limping to the entrance of the apartment building he pulled his cell phone out and punched in Duo's number. It was answered on the third ring. Wufei remembered Duo once telling him that you should always wait three rings before answering the phone. Less and it made you appear desperate or over eager and more made you seem lazy or uncaring. The memory brought a slight smile to his face, despite his exhaustion.
"You've reached Duo. Talk to me."
Leaning against the outside of the apartment building he laughed - though it could have been described as giggling... he really was tired if he was almost giggling. "And what will you do if I don't?"
There was a smile in Duo's voice. "Not sure but I can guarantee that when I figure it out it will be justifiably horrific and vengeful in equal proportions. So what's up Fei? You're calling kind of late; for you anyway. I would have expected you to be dead-to-the-world, after your last mission. What keeps the Dragon from his personality-stabilizing zzzs?"
His body stiffened slightly at the reminder of why he wasn't getting some much needed rest, but he did his best to push it away. "I've misplaced my keys and I haven't been able to get a hold of either Trowa or Heero. I was sort of hoping you'd let me sleep on your couch."
There was a pause on the other end, probably due to surprise, since it wasn't like Wufei to loose his keys - or anything else for that matter. "You won't have to do that, Fei, I'll just come over and pick the lock for you."
Wufei honestly couldn't believe he was tired enough to have actually walked into that. He let his forehead connect with the wall hard enough to hurt. "Alright, I lied. I still have my keys. There's an entirely different reason why I need to stay on your couch and it's far too embarrassing to speak of."
"Ah! Heero and Trowa are having some fun?"
Wufei's face burned slightly, but he found himself frowning. Last time he'd checked; no one outside the new couple, Quatre, and himself had known about the relationship. Quatre only knew because he'd played matchmaker, and he knew because he lived with them. "How do you know..."
There was cheerful laughter in Wufei's ear. "What don't I notice Fei? I knew they were hot for each other before they did, and I made them tell me a couple of weeks after they got together. No one told you I knew?"
No one told him a lot of things but that was to be expected when he was as scary and unapproachable as Heero - more so on occasion. Still, that hadn't prevented Heero from finding someone. It might only be Trowa - who wasn't afraid of Heero in the first place, but that wasn't the point. "No. Not that it would have made much difference. There's nothing you could or should have done about it."
Duo laughed. "Well... I can offer you a place to stay tonight."
Wufei's lips curled up in a ghost of a smile. "There is that."
"It's settled then. When will you get here?"
"Depends on how soon I can attract a taxi."
There was a frown in Duo's voice as he spoke. "Why aren't you taking your motorcycle?"
"Too tired. I don't want to risk it."
Another pause, this time there was something different about it, something that Wufei couldn't quite place. "You're at the apartment?"
"Yes. I'm standing outside the front entrance. Why?"
"I'll come get you."
Wufei blinked. "You don't have to do..."
"No, but I want to. I'll be there in ten minutes."
With that he hung up, leaving Wufei to stare at his phone dumb-foundedly. There wasn't a reason for Duo to come get him, a cab would have sufficed. In the end he slipped the phone in his pocket and shook his head. Duo might be his best friend but that didn't make it easier for Wufei to understand him.
*********************
About ten minutes later, Duo pulled up in front of the apartment in his Hummer. Since the driver's side window was next to Wufei, Duo rolled down the window, whistling and winking at him. "Heya Sexy! Need a lift?"
Since it was far from the first time Duo had called him that, even in public, Wufei just rolled his eyes and slowly got to his feet before limping around to the passenger's side and getting in. As soon as he'd done up his seat belt he glance up at Duo to find the other man frowning down at his feet. "Is something bothering you?"
"You were limping. The mission report said you weren't injured."
Wufei blinked at him in surprise. "You already read my mission report?"
Duo's cheeks darkened slightly. "Of course I did. I happen to actually care about what happens to the masochistic people I call friends. And you haven't given me an explanation yet, Fei."
If there was one thing Wufei had learned about Duo over the last few years, it was that once Duo got an idea into his head, he wouldn't let go of it until it was saying 'You're my daddy'. In the end, his ankle and slight tumble down the stairs just wasn't worth the torment that would come from trying to keep it secret. "I tripped coming down the stairs from the apartment. I just twisted it a bit; should be fine in a few days."
Duo put the Hummer into gear and pulled into traffic. "It isn't like you to fall on some stairs."
Wufei shrugged as he leaned back into the comfortable seat, eyes falling closed without his consent, but he seemed unable to get them to listen to him. "I misjudged where the step was; it happens, even to the best of us."
"But it wouldn't have happened if you hadn't felt you couldn't stay in your own place." Wufei just shrugged because it was the truth, even if it really wasn't anyone's fault. With his eyes closed he missed the slight flash of anger that appeared on Duo's face, anger that wasn't directed at Wufei. "I don't mind if you fall asleep, Fei, but I have to warn you that if you do, I'll being carrying you inside. Considering how close I came to loosing my braid the last time I woke you - I'm pretty sure it'll be safer to just carry you inside."
Half asleep already, Wufei couldn't think of anything wrong with that idea. Duo was taller than he was by about a foot, so it shouldn't cause him any problems; especially since he'd already seen Duo carry both Trowa and Heero before and Wufei knew that he weighed about twenty pounds less than each of them. "S'okay."
If Wufei hadn't been so exhausted, he might have noticed the way Duo's grip on the steering wheel tightened or the way he licked his suddenly dry lips while sending quick, covert glances at his passenger. "Alright, I'll carry you in, but you're not sleeping on the torture device I call a sofa."
Valiantly Wufei tried to pry his eyes open but they seemed to be winning the battle to stay closed. "I'm not putting you out of your own bed Maxwell." It came out a bit slurred, but it still managed to hold enough menace to satisfy Wufei.
"Fine, then we'll just share the bed." Because his eyes were closed, Wufei missed the way Duo's face went bright red and how he almost beat his head against the steering wheel - Duo only managed to refrain from doing so at the last second because he had a feeling that if he didn't die in the accident that would likely follow, Wufei would insist on hearing why the accident had happened and that... would be extremely embarrassing.
What Wufei didn't miss though was the shifting that Duo was unconsciously doing. Wufei knew that sound, but it didn't make a lot of sense that he was hearing it when he was alone, in a car, with Duo. It didn't make sense because Duo only ever shifted when he was around a person he was interested in. After a moment, Wufei discarded it as a product of his sleep-fogged mind. "Sounds s'okay to me."
"Okay." The word came out sort of wistful as it left Duo's lips but, since Wufei had already fallen asleep, he missed it.
Duo parked his Hummer in the secure garage attached to the house he lived in. The house only had a single bedroom, but he hardly needed anything bigger. He got out and shut the door, half hoping it would wake Wufei up and half wishing it wouldn't. Slowly he walked around the vehicle to make sure the garage door had closed completely. When he was sure it had he set the alarm and went to open the passenger side door. He found himself just staring down at Wufei and the way he was curled up in his seat. It took Duo a moment to calm his heart down, undo the seat belt and sling the duffel bag over his shoulder before he pulled Wufei into his arms.
The way Wufei snuggled into him made Duo's chest tighten slightly. He'd wanted to be able to hold Wufei for so long that it seemed... impossible that it had to happen like it was, if it were going to happen at all. He'd told himself, once the second war was over, that he was going to tell Wufei the first chance that he had that he was interested in more than just a friendship. It'd been almost four months and a chance hadn't presented itself because of how busy Preventers was. The only times they'd managed to really see each other were when they were on missions and telling your partner you wanted to see him naked and beneath you when you were setting bombs and gathering information wasn't really possible. Duo's lips twisted slightly as he thought about it; he could just see it, they would be dodging bullets as they ran for their lives and he would just look over at Wufei as they were running and yell at him so that he would be heard over the gunfire, 'You're sexy, wanna fuck?'
Somehow he doubted that would go over well. Besides, he wanted more than just a warm body to release pent-up frustrations with. He wanted someone to hold, and who would hold him in return. Someone to come home with and share things with. Someone he could build memories with and spend his life with.
Closing the Hummer's door, he set the automatic locks and made his way into the house through the door connecting the garage to the house. Moving down the hall to his bedroom, he gently set Wufei on the bed and stripped the ex-pilot down to his boxers. After folding Wufei's uniform and setting it on the dresser, he took off his own socks and shoes, not bothering to remove the t-shirt and sweats he'd thrown on to get Wufei. Sliding under the covers, he pulled them over Wufei and turned off the lamp he'd left on when he'd left the house. Seconds later, he was surprised to find a black head pillowing itself on his chest as a strong, bronze arm wrapped around his waist and a warm and well-muscled leg tangled with his own.
Tentatively Duo loosely returned the embrace, feeling happier than he could ever really remember and that was when he decided he didn't want to loose the feeling. He was going to push himself further into Wufei's life or die trying, but he had to do it slowly or he might ruin it before it even started. And he was going to start the moment they woke up.
***************************
Wufei woke up feeling safe and warm, if not a little groggy. It took him a moment to remember that he was at Duo's house and in Duo's bed. The idea didn't bother him very much because, during the war, he'd had to share a bed at least once with each of the other pilots. It did startle him a bit that he was lying half on top of Duo, but Wufei doubted that that other young man would mind, not when he considered how Duo went out of his way to touch others. It was a part of who Duo was, he needed to be able to have physical contact with others and though Wufei wasn't comfortable being touched by others, he'd gotten used to Duo touching him in a hundred little ways. He'd never admit it to anyone but he actually enjoyed it.
Looking up, Wufei was surprised to see that he wasn't the only one awake. Duo smiled at him and something in the way he looked, propped up against the pillows with his hair coming out of his braid and a small, happy smile on his face, made Wufei's heart speed up. He'd admitted to himself a long time ago that Duo was attractive, but he'd never let himself think further than that; especially during the wars. "Comfy?"
Snorting, Wufei smirked at him. "Let's just say that, if you ever decide to quite Preventers, you'd be set as a living pillow for the rest of your life."
"Good to know I have career options." Using a finger to brush away some hair that had fallen into Wufei's eyes, Duo leaned forward and planted a light kiss on Wufei's forehead before dragging himself out of the bed. "You can have the bathroom after my shower."
As he disappeared out of the bedroom, Wufei gently touched his forehead and blinked after him, momentarily stunned - but only momentarily. If Duo wanted to play games, Wufei would be more than Happy to play as well. It might prove to be a bit entertaining.
Duo was finished, not even ten minutes later, having skipped washing his hair. With his hair nearly tucked back into a braid and a towel wrapped around his narrow hips, Duo was something to watch as he came back into the bedroom. And watch Wufei did; something he had done often but always in a subtle - less obvious - fashion, not the blatant staring he was allowing himself right then.
Half-way into the room, Duo went completely still at the sight of Wufei's eyes looking over his body. He'd expected a reaction from the other agent but he hadn't expected such a undeniable acknowledgement of his half-naked state, though his body didn't seem to have a problem with it. Unfortunately, his body's non-problem was going to be Duo's very compromising problem all too soon. Trying to buy himself some time to figure out what had happened in the short time he'd taken his shower to put himself so completely off-balance and Wufei so totally in control of the situation, Duo cleared his throat, effectively bringing Wufei's dark eyes back to focus on his face. "Shower's free. You might want to hurry so that we aren't late. Une wanted to talk to us this afternoon and you know what she's like if she can't find us when she's looking for us."
Sighing softly, Wufei sat up. He'd been enjoying the view, as had his body, but the mention of Une had squashed any arousal he'd been feeling. He went to stand up and bit back a pained yelp as he fell back onto the bed, holding his leg. Wufei could stand a great deal of pain if he was ready for it, but he had completely forgotten about his stupid ankle and the pain that had resulted from putting nearly his full weight on it had taken him by surprise.
Careful, strong hands gently pulled his leg from him and Wufei could hear the air hiss out from between Duo's teeth. "This isn't a simple twist, Fei. It's a sprain - could very well be broken. If I had known it was this bad I could have put a heating or cooling pad on it last night... better yet, I could have taken you to the hospital and gotten it x-rayed. How on Earth did you manage not to notice it?"
Enjoying the way Duo's hands were moving over his bare skin, Wufei didn't even both to pull away and just shrugged. "I wasn't feeling much of anything last night."
Duo's normally cheerful-looking face darkened with anger. "Wonder why that is? Could it have something to do with the fact that McHale continuously pairs you up with the greenest recruits? And no I don't want to hear about how one mission with you somehow manages to make them into suitable partners for the rest of us! I don't care if it's the truth! If they aren't suitable for us the first time around, they sure as hell aren't suitable for you. You leave a lot out of the mission reports, Fei. You and I both know you end up doing the same amount of work as two agents - sometimes three. It isn't healthy and no matter how good you are, it isn't safe either."
"Preventers needs them Duo and it needs me to help shape them into usable Agents. It's not as bad as you make it seem, I just teach them what they don't learn during training and considering the success rate, I'm pretty good at it."
"Then you should see if Une would consider letting you run the training and do missions on a part-time basis."
Wufei rolled his eyes and gave Duo's braid a gentle tug. "Even if I did, you know that won't happen for a few months yet, not until things start to settle down a bit. That won't be likely for at least a while. Besides, it's just an ankle Duo, I've had worse injuries, so have you."
Duo went completely rigid and Wufei leaned forward slightly, blinking in surprise at the reaction. "I know." The pain Wufei heard in the words side-swiped him. He knew Duo and the others cared about him but the pain he'd heard wasn't just the result of caring about someone else. It went deeper than that and it confused him because he'd been certain that Duo had only been joking with his actions earlier, making light of a possibly uncomfortable position. Now... now he wasn't so sure.
"Look, I'll go shower and get dressed and we can go talk to Une and find out what she wants this time. And yes I'll be fine getting to the bathroom and back on my own."
As Duo's head came up, Wufei felt himself caught by the other man's gaze and there was something in Duo's eyes that made it impossible for him to consider doing anything but leaning forward and bringing the two of them closer together. It was both a relief and a disappointment when Duo looked away, nodding. "Alright. Everything you'll need is already in the bathroom."
Finding himself copying Duo's nod, Wufei managed to get to his feet as Duo stepped back, and grabbed his uniform from on top of the dresser and clean underwear from his bag. Once he had everything, he slowly made his way to the bathroom. Since his traveling method involved a great deal of hopping, the process was far from dignified.
Wufei didn't relax until he'd shut and locked the door behind him. After using the toilet and setting his clothes on the closed seat, he started the shower and brushed his teeth. As he did, his mind wandered over everything that had happened. He knew that the two of them cared about each other, perhaps even a fraction more strongly than what either of them felt for Quatre, Trowa, or Heero - they were best friends after all. But what he'd seen in Duo's face... it was obvious that Duo wanted more - with him.
Finished with his teeth, Wufei gave himself a mental shake and stepped carefully into the shower - under the fall of water. His hair was loose, but he couldn't remember where he'd lost his hair tie. It didn't matter.
Washing his dark hair he found himself wondering if he could want more with Duo. His mind caught onto the image of Duo walking into the bedroom in only a towel and his imagination supplied what it would be like to feel those large hands on his body, Duo's lips on his neck. His body's reaction was immediate and so intense that he had to lean against the wall for support. He appeared to have no trouble with attraction at any rate. His penis was swelling and his mind was willingly aiding it with various pictures and thoughts of Duo until his body was trembling from both the effort to stand and the need to be touched.
Maneuvering himself so he was able to sit on the floor without further discomfort to his ankle, he tentatively wrapped a hand around his erection and had to bite his lips at the feeling. He'd only masturbated a few times, not wanting to become a slave to his more carnal desires, so it felt as intense as if it were his first time touching himself - more so because he imagined Duo watching him as he did.
The feel of his hand sliding over his erection was nothing compared to the mental image of Duo watching him do it and when he finally climaxed, it was harder and more fulfilling than ever before. Sitting on the floor in the afterglow of his orgasm, he wondered if it would be so bad to wake up to Duo every morning or to be free to touch or be touched by him.
**************************
Wufei had dressed in the bathroom and by the time he got back to the bedroom Duo was already in uniform as well. The disappointment Wufei felt at that was only another confirmation that he was starting to want something more. "Duo, can you lend me a hair tie? I seemed to have lost mine."
Smiling, Duo walking up to him and took his hand, turning it so the palm was up, before placing the hair band in it and closing the hand around it. Leaning forward, Duo spoke into Wufei's ear - close enough that Wufei could feel his hot breath over his skin. "I know you need it for work, Fei, but you look good with it down." He brushed by me slightly, just enough to be felt, but not enough to off-balance me. "I'll pull the Hummer to the front. You know the security code... so lock up before you come out, okay?"
Wufei might not fully understand what had started between the two of them, but despite his confusion, he wasn't about to let Duo get away with the last, er... flirtation. Quickly, he grabbed his wallet, phone, gun, and badge from his bag before limping after Duo - turning out lights, locking the doors and setting the alarms as he did. As he made his way to the Hummer, his mind settled on a way to get Duo back.
Once he slid into the black vehicle, door shut behind him and seat belt done up, Duo pulled away from the curve and drove towards Preventers.
"Do you think we can stop somewhere to eat first?"
Duo actually winced. "Sure, just do me a favor and don't tell the others I accidentally forgot to eat again, okay?"
During his time on the streets, Duo had trained himself not to think about food in order to ignore his hunger easier, unfortunately, because of that he would occasionally forget to eat unless someone reminded him. It was a job the four of them shared willingly. "Fine, but you're buying."
Giving Wufei a slightly heated look that had nothing to do with anger and everything to do with sex, Duo nodded. "Okay."
Smirking Wufei did his best to look sexy. "It's a date then."
Choking a bit, Duo quickly managed to get his composure back, but it was a victory for Wufei anyway he looked at it. That made it 2:2, they were tied but Wufei intended to pull ahead and swiftly.
***********************
Wufei gained another point during their dinner, when Duo's gaze had seemed glued to Wufei's fingers and mouth as he'd licked them clean. Unfortunately, Duo tied him soon after they arrived at Preventers by catching Wufei after he'd tripped while hopping to the main doors. The point wasn't for catching him, it had been for the quick almost unfelt caress Duo had gotten of Wufei's rear. Something that he'd somehow managed to hide with the catch. Which put them even at three points each.
Together they got into the elevator and made their way to the fifth floor where their offices were. They hadn't even stepped out of the elevator when a voice seemed to claw it's way through the air towards them. Duo stiffened and his eyes darted around the open elevator, looking for someplace to hide. Wufei would have laughed if he could have figured out where his stomach had fallen to. "Chang, Maxwell! In my office - five minutes ago."
By the time the two of them had stepped out of the elevator, she had already disappeared down the hall into her office. Together they made their way to her office.
In order to move faster, Wufei grabbed onto Duo's arm and - not being one to pass up a good opportunity - he used it as an excuse to lightly run his fingers over Duo's bare wrist. The action caused Duo to falter a little in his steps and Wufei had to duck his head to hide his smirk. Chang 4, Maxwell 3.
They'd barely made it into Une's office, her door just swinging closed, when her eyes narrowed in the direction of Wufei's ankle. "What the heck happened to you, Chang? Your report said you hadn't been injured."
Despite trying to keep calm, Wufei's hand tightened it's grip on Duo's arm. He wanted to sit down because his good leg was starting to cramp and being reminded of why it was cramping only made his mood worse, but he wasn't about to give Une or anyone else the satisfaction of seeing him weak. "I fell on some stairs last night, Commander, it's nothing serious. Just an annoyance."
Une's expression changed, eerily reminiscent of the time before her two personalities had merged. Storm clouds gave way to sunshine - slightly. "How many back-to-back missions have you had lately, Chang?"
Shrugging, Wufei met her gaze as if he could stand there all day. "A few."
"Ten, six of which were five to seven-day long missions." Duo didn't sound happy and it was only because of that, that Wufei wasn't glaring at him.
Une looked surprised. "And you just got back last night?"
"This morning at one o'clock."
Frowning Une began shuffling through files on her desk. "Has Sally seen your foot yet?"
Wufei had hoped to avoid going to the clinic, but it seemed unlikely. "No."
She was reading files when she glared at him, unhappy with his answer. "You'll see her when we've finished here. Maxwell, you'll accompany him."
"Yes, Commander."
She turned her attention back to the files and her glare turned into a deep frown. "You've had green partners for your last twenty missions - and not just green ones but the worst of the new recruits." Glancing up at them she motioned to the two chairs in front of her desk. "Sit down. The strange things about all of this, Chang, are that you allowed it and that, after each of those missions with you, the recruits - who were better suited to desk positions - have gone on to become some of the best field Agents we have. But something tells me that both you and McHale are aware of that."
Wufei had taken the seat gratefully but had been careful not to let it show. During Une's little speech he remained silent and continued to do so, even after she'd finished.
Leaning back in her chair, her eyes seemed to look right into his soul. "You don't fall easily Chang. I've only seen it once and it was when you were both tired and hurt. You know, the reason I'd called you in here was to assign you a new mission but you can hardly go if you're injured, and after seeing your file and Maxwell's - who is barely better than yours - I'm assigning both of you to updating the computer data-base for the next two weeks. I can't give you a vacation because we need everyone we can get, but I can make sure you're not so tired that this happens again."
Duo didn't seem all that thrilled by the assignment, but he wasn't as upset about it as Wufei. "What about the mission?"
"I'll give it to Hilde and Noin. They're just getting off desk duty due to injuries, it'll ease them back into field work nicely. Now, get out of here and see Sally."
**********************
Sally confirmed that it was only a sprain and wrapped the ankle carefully before assigning him a pair of crutches. Sally scolded Wufei the entire duration on taking better care of himself going as far as telling Duo to take care of him.
Before Wufei had a chance to argue, Duo looked at him and winked. "Oh I plan on it." The huskiness of Duo's voice sent a pleasant shiver down Wufei's spine. And from the way Sally was grinning, she hadn't missed any of it. Point to Duo.
*********************
They spent the rest of their shifts down in the archives, transferring files to the computer and organizing the database. Wufei had been so focused on his work that he didn't think about where he would be staying that night until after he and Duo were on their way to the parking lot. Once he had remembered his predicament, he had come to a complete stop. The unexpected move caused Duo to halt as well. "Something wrong, Fei?"
"I didn't look for another place to stay yet, and I need to stop at the apartment and talk to Trowa and Heero about moving out."
Duo's stomach clenched painfully at the thought of Wufei staying somewhere else, but he shoved the feelings away, not wanting to make the other Agent uncomfortable. "Well, you can stay with me as long as you like. Living with the Sweepers got me used to being around other people so, sometimes the house is a bit quiet and empty for me. You'd actually be doing me a favor if you stayed." Duo was well aware that Wufei would be less likely to leave if he felt he was doing some sort of service as well as not imposing. "As to the apartment, Heero and Trowa... well, since I'm your unofficial chauffeur for the unforeseeable future, I don't' see any harm in coming with you and giving you a hand with a few things. Do you?"
Convinced Duo was sincere about his invitation, Wufei shook his head. "As long as they know that you know about them, I don't see any problems."
*****************
It didn't take long to get to the apartment, grab a week's worth of clothing and explain the situation to Heero and Trowa in a way that wouldn't offend or be misconstrued. It was a bit disconcerting for Wufei, however, when he thought he saw smug looks on their faces as he and Duo left.
Back at Duo's house, a few dresser drawers were cleaned out so his things could be set inside and a quick supper of take out found them back in the same bed - this time with both of them in only their underwear. Wufei actually found himself making excuses in order to touch Duo's bare skin and the more he touched the more his body enjoyed it. It certainly didn't escape Wufei that Duo was doing the same thing. More than a little frustrated but careful of his ankle, Wufei found himself pinning Duo to the bed - any thoughts of the little 'game' he'd been playing gone. Their bodies weren't touching yet except where Wufei's hands gripped Duo's wrists and where Wufei's thighs straddled Duo's hips but the heat between their bodies was tantalizing. Duo's eyes widened slightly, but Wufei could tell that he wanted more and it was only moments before Duo realized that Wufei did as well.
Upon his realization, Duo flipped them so that Wufei was on his back, but they still weren't touching except at the same two points. Duo seemed intent on torturing Wufei by remaining just out of reach but Wufei wasn't about to let that happen for long. Careful only to use his good leg for leverage, he arched upwards so that his groin and hips met Duo's fully. The contact was like electricity and whatever had allowed Duo to hold back before vanished with it.
Duo's arms seemed to give out and then their bodies were pressed tightly together with only the fabric of their underwear keeping them from full skin-to-skin contact, but it didn't matter as their hips automatically rocked against each other. Wufei's lips found Duo's neck and he couldn't get enough of the taste of Duo's skin as he sucked at it.
Duo moaned in his ear and thrust into Wufei harder, causing Wufei to bite down on the skin between his lips and teeth.
"Geez, Fei, keep that up and I'm not going to last much longer." It came out as a husky moan, tinged with need and desperation. Wufei pulled those lips to his own, lost in the rhythm of their bodies and the sounds Duo was making.
Releasing his lips, Wufei attacked his earlobe instead as his hand's gripped the well-formed ass above him and pulled down hard. It didn't take much long for release to come; Duo climaxed first and the sight alone was enough to push Wufei over the edge.
After, Wufei's played idly with Duo's braid. "What are you doing to me, Duo?"
Duo snorted as he snuggled more comfortably against Wufei's chest. "I could ask you the same question, but I already know."
"Oh?"
"You're a sexy man, Chang Wufei. A sexy man who I like and admire, there are very few people who fit that description especially ones who I'm so attracted to that I get aroused just by watching them."
"So you'll want to do this again then?"
Duo laughed and pushed himself up with his arms so he could kiss Wufei's nose. "Hell yes, and more."
Wufei smirked up into his new lover's grinning face. "Good."
******************
It had been a week since Wufei had left to stay with Duo and search for another apartment, but he never did look for a new place to stay. He meant to, at first, but slowly he and Duo had fallen into a comfortable existence that neither seemed to want to end so the search was quickly forgotten.
Little touches had continued between them, even at work, since no one was ever in the archives outside the two of them. And at home, things went decidedly beyond simple touches.
Wufei was organizing the part of the database that was based on crimes, when he felt hands on his shoulders. "Almost finished, Fei?"
"Almost. Why?"
"Heero just called down to say that he and Sally are bringing our lunches down."
"Alright."
The fingers moved to Wufei's neck, turning into a caress as he saved what he'd been working on before turning to face Duo. He was a little surprised as his mouth was caught in a kiss but that didn't stop him from returning it. He moaned in pleasure as Duo's tongue slipped into his mouth.
"Oops."
They pulled away from each other to find Sally and Heero smirking at them. "We'll just leave your food here. Carry on." As quickly as they'd come they were gone.
Looking at Duo, Wufei raised an eyebrow. "Do you ever get the feeling that we were set up?"
He shrugged. "Set up from the beginning, you mean? That seems unlikely, because it would have had to include Heero and Trowa from the beginning, Une, and Sally... maybe others. Do you know of anyone who'd be able to do that? Someone who would want to..." Said like that Wufei had to admit that it seemed unlikely. "Besides, if someone did, since we got together because of it, is it so bad?"
Leaning forward Wufei pulled him into a kiss. "No."
**************
Long, blond hair tumbled over his shoulder as Zechs read the e-mails from behind him. "So it seems all of that planning of yours bore fruit."
"According to the reports from Heero, Noin, Trowa, Hilde, McHale, Sally, and Une it did, but I'll know for sure when I get back."
Zechs turned the computer chair around so he could look down at Quatre's face. "First Heero and Trowa, now Duo and Wufei; tell me, who's next?"
Quatre's smile would have done the devil proud. "Well, I was thinking it was time to take off Relena's blinders so that Dorothy had a chance..."
Pulling Quatre towards him, he laughed. "That'll be quite the undertaking, much harder than the other two."
Quatre wrapped his arms around Zechs' bare chest and stood on his toes to kiss him. "Three. You forgot about us."
"No, I consider us to have been the most difficult... mind you; if you managed that, my sister might not be as hard to coax out of her naive little shell, after all. Strange, all you did was give opportunities to us and we all took them."
Shrugging, Quatre smiled as he dragged him to the bed. "It's because we want to be happy, and when we're finally able to see that happiness in another person we don't want to lose it."
Zechs didn't bother with words, he just held Quatre close.
