had been a few more months since Meg had disappeared and Cassi had left for colony 107 Kaito meanwhile maintained his post at the base and went out on missions.
Cassi was enjoying her evening cup of tea, ever since she had left the base she had worried about Kaito and Meg. When she found out Meg had disappeared everything seemed to start to worry Meg. There was an oz base on L2 but half way across the city it wasn't anything to worry about.
Suddenly elsewhere an explosion could be seen.
In the OZ base a young red head ran down the halls of the base and stopped as the front of her was surrounded by soldiers and so was the back.
"Stay where you are!!" One soldier yelled. Suddenly the base could hear the screams of the soldiers and the red head disappeared threw the door and the base exploded.
meanwhile, was on another one of his missions. He had recently gotten word that OZ was getting ready to send one of their operatives to attack a peace conference that Miss Relena Darlan was attending that very night. He stood quietly by along with Relena's other bodyguards. He could see several of the other individuals in attendance glance at him every now and then, confused as to why Relena would bring a 'child' for her protection. Kaito ignored the glances as he listened intently to the sounds other then the voices of the government officials who were busy trying to come up with a new, more peaceful method of protecting both the earth and the colonies, which made Kaito roll his eyes.
sat in her aunt's home on colony 107, thinking. She'd finished her morning cup of tea and was now resting. Her arm was in a sling courtesy of Sally, and she wasn't able to do much with it. She didn't mind though, having a rest was actually quite nice. She hadn't bothered to enrol herself into a temporary school or anything, and spent her days comprehending things. She'd been in contact with Quatre a lot as he was the only one who knew she was up there, and knew that her Gundam had been totally rebuilt and tested. It was ready for any battle she might need it for, and Quatre had been kind enough to send it up for her and she now kept it hidden under cover in a mountain range near where her aunt lived. It was within walking distance, so she was happy.
After the trials of the past few months, she'd renamed her gundam. Instead of Night Strike 2 or something like that, she'd renamed it Amazon. She loved the new gundam; it was faster, stronger and still had her beam glaive weapon that she loved so much. The weapon had taken the least time to repair and she was glad, she'd never switch it for anything. Sighing quietly she got up and walked out of the living room, she was cooped up in the house while her aunt and uncle were out at work, and needless to say she didn't like it. She had a key so she could come and go as she pleased. Deciding to go for a walk, she pulled her jacket over her shoulders and left the house making sure the door was firmly locked.
Heading down the street and towards where her gundam was well hidden, Cassi wandered whether she had been right to only tell Quatre and Dr. H that she was leaving for outer space, she wandered if Meg or Kaito had asked about her absence. Maybe they had, maybe they hadn't. Meg probably hadn't as she gone before she'd left.
"Why do I bother thinking about it?" she asked herself as she disappeared into the mountain range and made her way down a tree-covered pathway. "I doubt they're worried with the missions i've heard tell about." After walking for what seemed like forever, although it wasn't, Cassi found her gundam covered by leaves and twigs and a net. The two technicians who protected it were sitting in their tent and greeted her as she appeared. Nodding to them she used the net to climb up to her gundams chest, and sat down on it, looking at the sky. I wander what they're doing right now she thought to herself. Probably having a lot of fun
Cassi lay backwards on the hard metal of her gundam, using her jacket as a pillow. She was tired and the artificial light on colony 107 was so relaxing, she actually fell half asleep. She felt safe around her gundam like no one could hurt her, and with it having been upgraded so that it wouldn't fall apart after just one battle she was set. Colony 107 was void of OZ areas thankfully as it was quite a way from Earth. being a Gundam Pilot 24/7 isn't for me," she muttered to herself as she sat up. "Maybe I should do it part time or something. Then what would Kaito and Meg think?" Over the last few months she'd considered distancing herself from Meg and Kaito for a while, and not just by being on a colony rather than on Earth.
had become tense on certain areas and she felt uncomfortable with them, her birthday was coming up to and she was sure she'd rather not mention it to anybody. This would be the first one she'd celebrate alone, unless her aunt did something for her.
16," she whispered smiling slightly. "How fun."that last thought Cassi decided to head back to her aunts; she'd spent a good amount of time with her gundam and colleagues so she was relatively happy enough now. As she walked she wandered if Kaito and Meg would remember her birthday, she had mentioned it to them, but she highly doubted it, not with everything that had happened recently.
Cassi entered the house once again she found her Aunt Sally serving tea to a most familiar red head girl with her legs up on the table and her arms behind her head as she tilted the chair backwards.
"Meg," Cassi gasped.
"Yup it's me alright," Meg chuckled. Cassi looked at Meg she didn't look well at all, there was dark circles under her eyes, her skin was paler then usual and her clothes seem tattered and worn out.
"Uh listen I came by to drop this off for you," she said and handed her a box wrapped in pink paper. "I did a little digging to find out where you were hiding all this time...oh happy b'day Cassi."
at the conference; security just means more people with weapons and that's not what we want. We want a method that doesn't involve any kind of weaponry and violence," Relena said calmly, objecting to what one of the other members said.
"Well we've already tried to get rid of all weapons but as you can see, it hasn't done much good. People will always find a way to get their hands on weapons. There will always be someone around who can make them," one of the other members said calmly. Kaito rolled his eyes again, trying not to laugh at them. What made them think that there was a way to protect the earth and all the colonies that didn't involve either, weapons or segregating them completely from each other. Of course, segregating them wasn't an option due to the fact that they depended on each other. Even if they did segregate that didn't mean violence would stop. It just meant that all the violence would be between the people in those confines. Kaito was quickly brought out of his thoughts, however, as he heard a strange noise like a 'click' coming from somewhere around the table. He narrowed his eyes and looked around looking for the source of the sound. He knew that it was possible that it was nothing but he wasn't about to let his guard down.
took the parcel from Meg as she handed it to her, cradling it in her hands. Her birthday wasn't till the next day, so she wouldn't open it just yet. She looked Meg in the eyes quietly, so she'd come up here had she? Cassi had definitely slipped the last few months, only playing attention to the information Quatre had been sending up to her. This seemed to keep happening, no matter where any of them were, they kept bumping right into each other. Ok it wasn't true for her and Kaito as he probably still had no idea where she was, but Meg had obviously been doing her work more effectively.
"Meg..." She began but the redhead cut her off with a gentle wave of her hand.
"Don't say it," she told her as she got up. "I know what i've done, that's why I left. You and Kaito are in danger around me, all I seem to do is make Kaito angry and get you hurt. I'm a hazard."
"If you'd have let me finish," Cassi told her frankly as she rubbed her arm. "I was going to say, thank you. I didn't think you or Kaito would even think about me, the fact you bothered to look for me is nice."
Meg looked at her, had Cassi changed in the last few months or something? She seemed to have lost her confidence, that or she'd got soft. Looking into her friend's eyes she saw Cassi hadn't lost her confidence, it was more like she was uncertain, uncertain of what was meant to be and what wasn't.
"Cassi we're still friends aren't we?" she asked.
"Yes of course," Cassi assured her. "But...sometimes I wander if our friendship is what puts us in danger." Turning Cassi headed out of the kitchen and into her aunts back garden, with Meg following her. She sat down on a bench and rested Meg's gift in her lap.
"I mean, look what's happened. Our friendship, our closeness has got me kidnapped, you brainwashed and Kaito sort of brainwashed. Maybe we'd be best staying friends, but not being around each other 24/7."
"This coming from the person i'm sure was trying to keep us together a couple of months ago, whilst we were all still on Earth," Meg stated.
Cassi blushed in response, she remembered that all too well. She even knew she could start using her arm again, but it still hurt if she moved it so she'd kept it in the sling for a while longer than was necessary. Sliding it out she turned her shoulder gently, it ached but felt somewhat more comfortable to move.
"That was then Meg," she told her as she folded up the sling. "This is now. I've had more time to recover, and to think."
"We are not going to distance ourselves for good you know," Meg told her, tilting her head so she could look into Cassi's eyes. "We're not going to turn into our parents. You got that. I can't bare that thought and i'm sure you can't either." Cassi looked at her quietly, before turning away and looking into her lap. Sighing Meg got up and patted her on the shoulder.
"I have to go," she told her. "Think about it more ok, and don't just weight the bad things ok." Cassi didn't respond, so Meg quietly left. She stopped before heading back through the house and to the front door, and looked back at her blue-haired friend.
Cassi was brushing her hands over the pink paper that wrapped the present Meg had given her for tomorrow. A thoughtful look was shining on her face, and she so hoped Cassi was thinking harder about her decision.
"Thanks for the tea," she called to Cassi's aunt and left the house with a wave. We've been through a lot together Cassi she thought glancing at the house over her shoulder as she walked away. Don't dismiss it all. I know I won't Her thoughts travelled back to the numerous times they'd saved each others necks, if that meant anything they'd be back together in no time or so she hoped.
slowly exited the house and then started to walk down the street. Suddenly a long black limo pulled up beside her and slowly she got inside.
Smiling the Kazier sat beside her and he kissed his sisters head.
"You did well my little sister," Kazier said.
"Stop saying that" Meg said, "I am not your little sister...if it wasn't for the antidote I wouldn't even be doing this."
"He he he don't you worry Meggie you have plenty of time," Kazier said and smiled a evil smile. "Now you must get ready for you big presentation my lil sister." Kazier threw her a vile of green liquid and she quickly gulped it down, her body glowed green for moment and then she fell asleep as the Kazier glazed down at her evilly.
remained seated in the back garden of her aunt's house, looking at the present Meg had given her. Now Cassi may have been younger than her two friends, but if anything could be said about her it was that she wasn't naive or stupid. Something just felt wrong with this whole scenario, and although she hadn't told Meg she felt that she was wrong to. Meg had come across normal enough, but Cassi knew to listen to her gut instinct. She was an ultra sensitive girl, now that didn't mean she was soft and cried easily, it meant she sensed things better. This was something she had kept to herself, no one besides her mother and aunt knew. She thought back to when she'd lost her father, she'd felt it in her heart the moment he'd died although she didn't know exactly when and where he had passed away. Her mother had said that Quatre had felt similar things in the same way when he'd been her age, and it was possibly all because she was the youngest and most innocent of the three pilots. Her mother had only brought that up recently when Cassi had told her about how she'd felt when Meg and Kaito had got hurt on previous missions, and she had argued that she wasn't so innocent.
"Why won't you talk to me properly Meg?" Cassi asked quietly, as if she were speaking to thin air. "I can feel something's wrong you know."
She sighed and got up, heading into the house. Her aunt who'd watched Meg's movements right from when she'd begun walking down the street approached her.
"Cassi dear," she began. "I didn't know your friend had her own limo."
"She doesn't," Cassi told her as she walked up to the fridge and drew out some milk.
"She got into one after she left," her aunt stated.
"I don't know," Cassi responded as she found out a glass and poured the last of the milk bottle into it. As she washed the bottle out and placed it on the kitchen sink, she thought about it. A limo? Meg? No way that sounds wrong. It then struck her, Kazier. That jerk, what the heck is he doing up here? She wandered. Finishing her milk she walked over to where she'd draped her jacket and picked it up.
"Where are you off to dear?" her aunt enquired.
"I've got to do some checking," Cassi responded and picking up Meg's package left the house quickly.
She returned to where her gundam was stored, despite the fact it was getting rather late now and waved to her two companions.
"Twice in one day," a young man laughed. "House life too boring for you?"
"I'm back for a reason," Cassi told him as she walked over to the radio computer phone. She activated it and found the signal to the Sanq Kingdom palace.
"Cassi to Sanq Kingdom. Is anyone available?" After a few minutes Quatre's face appeared on the screen, and Cassi wandered if he lived in the main monitor room or something.
"Hello," he greeted kindly. "What's up Cassi?"
"Who says that anymore?" she enquired and laughed slightly. "I want to know where Kaito is."
"He's out being bodyguard for Miss. Relena why?"
"Let's just say I have some info on Meg he may find interesting, provided he's still talking to her."
"I'll contact him and let him know to contact you. I'll make sure he has the frequency." Cassi nodded.
"Thanks. Tell him it's urgent. Cassi out." That said she signed off, leaving Quatre to try and get hold of Kaito, wouldn't he be surprised to hear from Cassi after so long.
Whoever, when Quatre tried to contact the young pilot, he couldn't get through. A message of, this number is no long in service, sounded on the other end. Quatre lifted an eyebrow and blinked slightly, odd. I just called him several hours ago before the conference started. Something must be wrong."
Meanwhile, back at the large building where the conference should have been, there was a rather large whole. Since the meeting had been on the top level, people below had to scurry away as bits of debris fell from the sky. The explosion had been so sudden and everyone on the ground was sure that no one could have survived it. People looked at the scene in sheer terror. Who could have done this? Why would someone want to harm those striving for peace?
"Shi..." Kaito attempted to mumble as he pushed away the large chunk of wall that had fallen overtop of him. He gasped as he looked around at what was left of the room. The back wall had been completely blown off and he could see the bright blue sky out of it. He slowly got up and began to furiously look around for any survivors. Bodies of those who'd been caught in the blast lay in various places in the room, covered in dust and debris. He narrowed his eyes, wondering how someone could have gotten a bomb in here as he checked the pulse of the nearest person to him, breathing."
He sighed with relief as he checked the man over, he had burns running down his left side were the blast had caught him. Kaito immediately began to patch the man up then headed to check for more survivors, "Where's Relena?"held her head and slowly awoke, she looked around and saw she was sitting in a seat and was strapped in. Looking around she saw a familiar red head sitting in the planes seat in front of her.
"I see your awake Miss Relena," Meg said. Relena gasped and looked at Meg, she was wearing a black OZ uniform that of a high commanding general.
"Meg!" She gasped.
"I am so sorry Miss Relena," Meg said and looked at her with a sad look, "Of course we had to bring you here by force."
"What are you doing?" Relena gasped still trying to make sense of the situation.
"Why my sister is the figurehead of the Soon to be New Unified earth sphere," Kazier said as he walked over, "And you Miss Relena will be the perfect person to declare such a thing."must be out of your mind!" Relena cried. "I'll never do that! Meg, I can't believe you're helping him! What about the people close to you? What about your friends and your father? If he knew about this he'd go nuts!" Calming her anger a bit, Relena took a deep breath and relaxed in her chair a bit before turning her eyes back on Meg.
"What do you think Cassi and Kaito would think if they knew?" she asked calmly.
"They don't know and never will," Meg responded as her mind flashed to images of her and her two friends laughing at one of Kaito's jokes. A sad look shone in her eyes as she thought about them, the present she'd given to Cassi was genuine, a teddy bear as a sign of their friendship along with a special disk, but if she knew Cassi as well as she believed she did Cassi wouldn't trust her. She and Kaito both knew that Cassi had some heightened sense of awareness for when things were good or bad, similar to what Quatre had. They both felt things in their hearts, and both felt hurt by it. Fighting back tears, Meg knew that Cassi might consider her an enemy now.
"Meg, I may not be able to say anything that can make you think and understand," Relena told her matter-of-factly. "But I beseech you to at least think of those who love you. That's all i'm saying." With that Relena turned her head to look out of the window and went as quiet as a mouse.
Back on colony 107, Cassi was sitting on her gundams chest, waiting for Quatre to contact her, but he hadn't. The present Meg had given her, sat at her side. She felt that it was genuine, but she felt that Meg was hiding something from her. The two technicians had had word that Kazier had been swarming around one of the colonies, and she didn't like where THAT idea might be going. A twinge in her chest caused her to raise her hand to it, which she placed over the area where her heart was. Tears gently began to fall down her face and where as she would've usually wiped them away, she let them fall. What was the point of hiding it? She knew something was wrong and that she'd most likely lost one or both of her two best friends. Meg was hiding and Kaito was hurt or worse, she could feel it.
"Why father?" she whimpered softly as she buried her head into her knees and began to openly cry. "Why is it anyone I get close to besides my mother, has to get hurt or worse? If it's because I get too close to them or because i'm a gundam pilot i'll quit right now."
She said all this between a flurry of sobs, she was upset beyond anything she'd ever been before.
"I hate this," she whispered to herself. "Why must I hurt so much? Why must the people I love be hurt? Why don't I just end it now? Put my gun to my head and pull the trigger. It would be over in seconds."
"Don't be stupid," a voice chided as one of the technicians knelt beside her and rested his hand on her arm. "Killing yourself won't help any." Cassi looked up, not having realised that she'd been speaking out loud.
"Why not Eric?" she enquired. "Meg's lying to me and Kaito's hurt or worse. I can't bare feeling this pain." She touched her chest gently and shook her head, before bursting into tears again, whilst the technician tried to comfort her. Even suggesting that she go home and rest, but Cassi just refused.
on the plane, after Meg had considered what Relena had said, she spoke to her again.
"I have no choice, you don't understand Miss. Relena," Meg whispered and Kazier smiled wickedly.
"It's almost time for your big announcement to the world my sister," Kazier said. "Now get ready Miss Relena I promise that the world will be in good hands my hands."
Cassi meanwhile was in her room, having had returned after spending a couple of hours waiting for Quatre to contact her. She was feeling depressed when her eyes fell on the present Meg had given her. Slowly she picked it up and ripped the package open to find a tiny white bear with a letter between its paws. Opening it, she read it and gasped.
Dear Cassi
I know your gonna hate me after you read this, cause by then Kazier will have already did what needed to be done.
Please don't blame yourself, blame me...in the back of the teddy bear you'll find a vile of green liquid it's the only thing keeping me....alive
-Meg
P.S Please don't contact me anymore....i'm dangerous
eyes skim read the note over and over before she gently opened the back of the teddy bear and drew out the vile of green liquid, and it shimmered in the light of the light bulb. Oh Meg she thought sadly. Why didn't you come to us instead of going to him? Once again tears trickled down her face, she hadn't felt so down and lost since her father had passed away. Quatre still hadn't returned her communication whilst Eric had been trying to comfort her and she wasn't going to wait around for it, having had to put on a brave face to return home with. She'd held it till she'd got to her room and locked the door. Obviously the people of the colonies didn't trust each other enough, and even locked their bedroom doors at night. She felt helpless to, the one time she needed her Gundam skills and they'd failed her. Placing the teddy and the vile on her bed she got up and walked over to her window. She hadn't closed the curtains yet, even though the colony settings were set to night time. The artificial moon and stars shone brightly, almost like the real thing.
She stood there for several minutes just staring, when suddenly there was a loud whack beneath her window. If there were some stupid kids throwing rocks she was going to go outside and give them a piece of her mind, but opening the window and looking out, she saw the other technician Aaron staring up at her.
"Aaron it's after 11:00 you know," she called down gently.
"I know that," he responded. "But Quatre called for you not long ago, he says he needs a word and it's urgent." Cassi sighed and nodded.
"I'll be right there, just give me a few minutes." That said she closed the window, grabbed the vile off her bed and put it into her pocket, before pulling her shoes back on. She hadn't changed either, she hadn't felt like it. Unlocking her door she headed down stairs and being sure to leave her aunt a note, she left the house, locking it with the key her aunt had given her. She met Aaron by the front door and followed him back to the mountain/forest base, by the light of a small but powerful torch.
When they arrived, she found Eric chatting Hilde up over the communication monitor. Typical she thought dryly. Seeing her appear Eric ceased his chat with Hilde, who turned to tell Quatre that Cassi had arrived.
"What is it Quatre?" Cassi asked her voice harsh and dry, which surprised the former pilot.
"Kaito just managed to get back an hour ago," Quatre told her. "Apparently there was an explosion where he was with Miss. Relena and he got hurt, had to help sort things out before he headed back."
"I can give you three guesses who's behind it to," Cassi told him. "And it's not just a he either."
"What are you saying?" asked Quatre as Kaito appeared at his side with his father.
"I'm saying we're being destroyed from the inside out, because a certain someone, no names mentioned, is too stupid to seek help from her own friends and family," Cassi retorted, her tone incredibly sharp.
Quatre, Trowa, Kaito and Hilde all looked at each other. They'd never heard Cassi speak so ill of someone before, especially not about Meg as that was who she was obviously referring to with her last comment. The girl's eyes matched her current feelings, they were sharp and full of hate and disappointment, something no one had expected from her.
"Don't give Meg a hard time," Kaito advised carefully. "She always has her reasons for doing things you know."
"I know, but even so...I thought she could count on us," Cassi responded as she drew the vile form her pocket. "She left me a note with this. She say's it keeps her alive."
"There's your reason," Kaito smirked slightly as Cassi held it up to the screen so they could see it. Cassi knew he was right, but she still found it hard to forgive this time. Once bitten, twice shy she thought as she put the vile back in her pocket, her father had said that to her many times before.
sighed, he knew how Cassi felt right now. He'd already gone through that after what Meg had done back at the base. It had taken a while for him to forgive her even though he knew that it wasn't all her fault. He could feel their friendship being pulled apart and he hated it. He closed his eyes for a moment and took a few breaths before saying, "We've got another problem. We can't find Relena, dead or alive. The explosion was worse on the other side of the room, the only two people I found alive were on my side of the room, so i'm guessing Relena's still alive. The only question is, where?"
Wufei burst into the room.
"Turn on the TV quick," he said out of breath. Kaito turned on the television and there was Meg's face. Cassi could see it to over her monitor.
"Greetings citizens of the Earth Sphere unified nation. My name is Megan Jade I am the sister of Kazier Jade the leader of the Dark OZ organization," she said. "We on the colony 8940R66 hereby declare our independence from the Earth sphere and at the same time declare war against the nation...."
As they spoke Duo sat at home and he dropped his coffee smashing the cup upon the floor and held his chest tightly , he couldn't breath and slowly as Sally entered the room he collapsed.
"We of The dark OZ will bring a more simple use of peace before the nation and Miss Relena Darlan shall be held our captive till the Earth Sphere surrenders the Gundam Pilots..."
As the broadcast ended Meg growled in anger as she sat there and Kazier just stood there smirking evilly.
"Good work," Kazier said and tried to put his hand on her shoulder only to have it pushed away by Meg.
"You monster how dare you make me turn against my friends!" Meg yelled.
"It's all part of the game Meg," Kazier said, "And I just made a move so it's check and I also have the queen." He then looked at Relena. "And with the queen I just made checkmate."
"Damn it!" Kaito growled and turned, pushing past Wufei, and headed out the door. At least he knew where she was and that was exactly where he was going to go. He could hear Cassi curse over the communication monitor.
stared long and hard at the communications monitor, what the heck was Meg thinking? What the heck was she saying more like? She'd seen Sally rush to Duo's side to try and help him, along with Heero who'd been standing at the far corner of the room.
"Damn it!" she cried slamming her fist down onto the table the computer was sitting on. This startled Eric and Aaron, and even startled Quatre and the others on the other end of the comm line.
"Weak," she growled out furiously. "Weak...how can anyone be so weak they let someone control them? I should go there and blast that OZ colony into the next century!"
"Cassi, calm down," Eric called. "Getting angry won't help."
"Why not?" asked Wufei a smirk on his face. "I agree with her. Kaito's already on his way there so why not let her join him."
"Wufei, don't give them any ideas," Quatre warned.
"Winner stop being so naive!" Wufei snapped back. "Gundam pilots aren't meant to totally work together! Let them go and destroy it, whether it means the death of one of their own or not!"
Cassi was listening to what Wufei was saying, all the time tears ran down her cheeks. Silent tears, which she wouldn't let sobs accompany. She hated to admit it but Wufei was right, why bother trying to bring Meg around if she was just going to do this sort of thing? Kaito was on his way, but it would take him some time to leave the Earth itself and reach the said colony, but if she left the colony through the access port with her gundam she'd reach it no problem. She could hear Wufei and Quatre arguing, and she looked up to see Sally had managed to wake Duo up.
"Winner! For the love of...!" Wufei cried.
"He's right Quatre," Cassi told him softly, interrupting Wufei mid sentence. "It's not worth the hassle. Kaito and I might just as well go there and handle this ourselves."
"That's what Kazier wants!" Quatre cried.
"I know that, but just because he wants us to surrender, doesn't mean we have to go quietly." That said Cassi turned on her heel and made her way to her gundam. It's flashy new metal shone in the artificial moonlight and sighing, she climbed up the net and pushed it to the ground, before walking over to and entering the cockpit. Making sure she was safely in, she closed the doors and moved the gundam into a standing position.
"Am I clear to leave via the lower entrance?" she asked Eric.
"Yes, and it's night so no one will think much of it," he responded. Cassi nodded and activated the engines, before activating the silencer on them. As Aaron managed to open the doors, Cassi felt the tug of space as her gundam was gently pulled through and into the darkness that was outer space. The doors closed behind her and turning her gundam she headed towards the colony, it was a good twenty + minute flight with her gundam at max speed and she was going to make sure things changed.
"Kaito," she called activating a link to his gundam.
Kaito who was currently sitting on his gundams chest as the carrier headed for outer space, reached in and turned the responder on.
"Yes Cassi."
"I'll be at the colony in just under 25 minutes," she told him. "What's your ETA?"
"Over 40 minutes, unless I leave early with my gundam then 30 or less. Why?"
"I'll be ahead, I suggest you leave the plane early and use your suit or you'll miss all the fun." Kaito picked up the harsh and heartless tone in Cassi's voice and he became worried.
"Cassi don't do anything reckless till I get there you got that?" There was a pause over the radio before Cassi answered, and that made him nervous.
"Cassi?" he asked again.
"Don't worry, i'll save the reckless action till you arrive," she promised. "But don't expect me to fully hold back, i'm not going to wait for you you know."
"Fine, just be careful."
"Fine. Cassi out."
Cassi sighed as she turned her radio off and looked at the sparkling dots before her that were the stars, they looked so beautiful up close and usually it calmed her to look at them, but right now she was furious. Usually her heart pounded before a battle of any kind, but now it was calm and steady. Meg she thought to herself as her gundam shot through space like a shooting star. This time, I won't be sorry.

had been a few more months since Meg had disappeared and Cassi had left for colony 107 Kaito meanwhile maintained his post at the base and went out on missions.
