How the formed Chapter 4: Just Competition
"Hey, maybe we should work together to get out of this," Duo suggested breaking the silence within the hole. Each of them had been thinking individually on the situation, and figured his idea was the best of them all.
"Fine, who's the tallest and strongest that could really work as a good foundation," Heero asked, and everyone looked towards the tall boy named Trowa. /Damn my testosterone, / he then thought, and prepared himself for being the `foundation.'
"Okay then, Quatre, you look like the lightest, you'll be the last to get up, and then you can see if we can reach the top somehow," the Japanese boy said getting on top of the Latin boy's shoulders.
"Uh…don't you remember how long it took us to fall into this hole? I don't think us just standing like a human ladder will get us anywhere," Duo pointed out.
"Strangely enough, I agree with the braded idiot. It would be a waste of manual labor to try and reach the top. We should try and find a secret button or passage way instead of just sitting on our ass'," Wufei said plainly.
"Hey! I'm not an idiot! I'm just dumb sometimes, but I agree we should look for a button or switch somewhere in here," Duo said before looking on the ground for said switch or button.
Needless to say, Trowa was thankful, and Heero was dropped onto the ground. And his fall surprisingly hit the button they were looking for. Opening a door to another room.
"I guess you did help out Hee-chan," Duo said patting his friend on the back. With that, all of them wondered into the room, and found it was a secret laboratory of sorts.
"I bet no one else will ever find this place. We're the first ones to find it," Wufei started to say investigating a few things. Sensing this boy was quick, Heero hurried to a computer, pulled out a disk, and started to copy and download files.
"Way to go Heero! I always knew those computer skills of yours were useful besides looking for porn," Duo said without thinking. He was stared at, but the only one blushing was the Japanese boy who was typing.
"No comment, but I only have one question now," Trowa suddenly said out of the blue. Everyone looked towards him, and he then stated his question, "Are we going to solve this case together, or are we still individuals in competition?"
"From what I can tell, we all have our own personal reasons to stay as individuals, but then again, it wouldn't hurt to do this together, we would still accomplish our goals, only we'll receive less money," he then explained.
There was a long silent pause, and everyone thought on what to do about the situation. If they joined forces, this case would be solved quicker, but they would get less money. Staying as individuals would make this slower, but they would get all of the reward money. Didn't it suck how money makes things difficult?
"I say we stay individuals," Wufei stated first, and continued to read a few files from the file cabinet.
"I say we stick together," Duo seemed to argue towards him. The boy in glasses glared at him, and just continued his private investigation.
"How about for now, we stay individuals, but if the time comes, we join forces. Ten thousand dollars is still a lot of money. Don't think of it otherwise," Heero then stated, and the whole conversation was over. With each of them investigating something different.

"Those five would make a great detective group," a longhaired man stated calmly.
"Yes, but it's sad how our prize money is making them stay as competition," Noin stated afterward.
"Well, for now they'll stay individual, but I bet even that stubborn one in glasses will join with them soon enough. If you can't already see Noin, the braded one and computer hacker were already partnered together for this. The blonde boy seems to like assisting the taller brunette."
"Zechs, are you saying it's only a matter of time before they work together," the blue-haired woman asked smirking.
"Indeed, that is exactly what I'm saying," The real owner of Swans Inc. answered, preparing himself to act as the longhaired thief.
