Ice and the Devil, Part 4

Victoria snuggled against the warm body up against her back. She yawned and looked at the man sleeping beside her. "He looks like an angel when he sleeps. He's only a devil when he's awake." She grinned was she saw his nose twitch. "Hey, braid boy," she whispered as she rolled over to face him.

Chris opened one eye and looked at her. "Can't you let a man sleep, princess?" he mumbled as he lifted his arm and looked at his watch. "It's only nine thirty and its Saturday."

"Lazy bum," she said as she placed her hands on his chest.

"I like being lazy," he said as he pulled her tighter against him. "So be a good girl and let me sleep."

"And if I don't?" Victoria challenged as she arched a brow at him.

Chris opened his other eye to look at her. "Then I would have to tie you to the bed and have my way with you," he replied.

"Oh really?" she asked. "I like to see you try," she said haughtily. She found herself pinned underneath him in barely a second.

"Unfortunately for you I have nothing to tie you with, so I guess I'll have to make due with kissing you senseless instead," he sighed as he touched her lips lightly.

"You do that," Victoria breathed as his lips covered hers in a passionate kiss.

"Where is your brother, its almost noon!" Hilde exclaimed as she cleaned up breakfast.

"I guess he's still asleep," Randy said as she put the plates in the dishwasher. Her eyes went to David's and Jonathon's.

"You know he never misses breakfast, especially when I make waffles," Hilde said as she leaned against the doorframe and looked upstairs. "Chris!"

"I'll go wake him," Duo said as he put down the paper. He looked back at the other three, who looked back at him innocently. He ran up the stairs and down the hall to Chris's room. He knocked on the door. Nothing. "Chris?" he said again as he slowly opened the door. His eyes fell on the empty bed. It had been slept in, but not for some time. He turned and went back down the stairs and walked back into the kitchen. "He's not there."

"Not there? What do you mean not there?" Hilde asked as she propped her hand on her hip. "All the cars are in the garage."

David's eyes went to Randy's. "I wonder where he is then?" he asked nonchalantly.

Duo watched the innocent looks that passed between his two sons and his daughter. "Do you three know where he is?"

"Nope, sorry," Randy said as she shrugged. "Wish I could help?" she said as a grin spread across her face.

"I don't either," Jonathon said as he ran his hand through his hair. He grinned as well.

"Wish I knew," David said as he looked over at his brother and sister.

Duo watched as they left the kitchen. They all looked too innocent for him. "Hold it right there, now I know you three did something. What did you do to your brother?"

"Nothing," they all said giving him a smile.

"Like I believe that," Duo snorted. "Now all three of you are going to tell me where your brother is," he said as he pointed to the table. All three sat down. "Now spill it."

********************************************************* *********************

"You know it isn't like Victoria to sleep late," Relena said as she propped her hand on her hip.

"Maybe she's just real tired today, that's all," Dominic replied as he swallowed the last of his orange juice.

"I'll go get her," Relena said as she walked up the stairs and down the hall to Victoria's room. "Sweetheart, time to wake up," she called. There was no answer. She pushed the door open. "Victoria," she called again. Her eyes fell on the empty bed. Her brows furrowed a little and she went back down to the breakfast room. "She's not in bed," she said puzzled.

"She's not there?" Heero said as he looked up from the paper. "That is strange," he said as he leaned back in his chair. He looked over at Dominic and Veronica. "Do you two know where she is?"

"No dad, sorry," Veronica replied with a shrug and then a smile that she passed to her brother.

"Nope," Dominic said as he retuned the smile.

Heero watched the smiles on his kid's faces. "Is that so?" he asked. "Then why are you two out looking for her?" he asked as he arched his brow at them.

"Gotta go," Veronica said as she pushed back her chair. "Got to get cleaned up and all," she said as she began to leave the room.

"Me too," Dominic said as he began to follow his sister.

Heero then knew that something was up. He got up and blocked the doorway. "Are you sure you don't know?" he asked again.

Veronica nodded her head rapidly. She tried to sneak past him, but felt his arm come around her waist. "Shit."

"Don't think so, young lady. You too, Dominic," Heero said as he pulled his daughter back into the room. He put her down in the chair. "What do you two know?" he asked his eyes bounced between the two of them.

Dominic shrugged and returned his father's look.

Veronica slid down in her chair a little. "Well…" She saw her brother's eyes shoot to hers, telling her not to open her mouth. "Itwasn'tmyideaitwasRandy's," she said in a barely coherent babble.

"Randy's huh?" Heero asked as he crossed his arms over his chest. "All of you got some explaining to do."

******************************************************* ***********************

Victoria yawned again. "I'm tired again," she said as she buried her face in Chris's shoulder.

"Oh so now you're tired, after you woke me up and all," Chris pouted as he looked at her.

"Don't be a baby," she teased lightly. She propped her chin up on his shoulder and twirled a lock of his hair around her finger. "God, I would kill to have hair like this."

"That's what my mom says to my dad all the time," he replied as he smoothed his hand up and down her back.

"I'll admit that I find it sexy as hell," Victoria said as she rubbed the heavy strands between her fingers.

"I'm glad that you think so," Chris replied as he kissed her lips. She sucked his lower lip between hers. "I thought you were sleepy," he mumbled.

"Changed my mind," she said as she moved on top of him and gave him a sound kiss.

******************************************************* ***********************

Heero glared at the five of them sitting on the couch. He looked at Randy, Jonathon, David, Dominic, and Veronica. So far they hadn't said a word. He looked over his shoulder at Duo, who was leaning against the fireplace. "You could help here?"

Duo shrugged. "My kids haven't said a word as much as I tried to get them to," he replied as he toyed with the end of his braid.

Relena and Hilde were sitting on the opposite couch in the Maxwell's family room. They rolled their eyes at their children.

Heero looked back at the kids. "Which ones would be the most likely to breakdown and tell? The boys wouldn't tell. Go for the girls first." He looked at Randy. "I want to know what you did with my daughter and your brother?"

Randy glared right back and shook her head. "Nope, that look doesn't work on me. And I won't tell," she said as she sat back against the cushions.

Heero growled and looked over his shoulder at Duo again. "She's your daughter. You make her tell," he snapped.

"Heero, I haven't been able to make my daughter do anything since the day she was born," Duo replied exasperatedly.

"That's because you spoiled her," Hilde replied as she gave Duo a look.

Duo stuck his tongue out at her.

"That was mature, Maxwell," Heero snapped again. He turned his eyes to his daughter. "Spill, Veronica."

Veronica bit her lip and shook her head. "I won't tell anymore."

Heero threw his hands up in frustration. "This is getting to be ridiculous. Our children are supposed to do what we say!"

"Not when they're children of Gundam pilots. Rebelliousness is in their blood," Relena said quietly.

"Got that right," Hilde mumbled under her breath.

The five kids looked at each other out of the corners of their eyes. And in seconds, they all made a break for it. David and Jonathon hightailed it out of the family room and out the deck door. Randy and Veronica ran for the kitchen and Dominic ran for the front of the house.

"Shit!" Heero yelled as he ran after the two girls. "Help here Maxwell!"

Duo sighed and went after David and Jonathon.

******************************************************* ***********************

Veronica and Randy spilt when they made it into the kitchen. Randy ran for the back stairs, while Veronica went for the kitchen door.

Heero went for his daughter first.

"Eep!" Veronica shrieked as her father latched his arm about her waist. She was carried back to the family room and dropped on the couch.

"That's one," Heero muttered as he went to look for his son.

******************************************************* ***********************

Duo saw the garage door close and lock. "Dammit!" he muttered as he ran back to the house. He came back into the kitchen to see Randy peeked through the railing. "Miranda, come here," he called.

"Nope!" Randy replied as she made a mad dash back up the steps.

Duo ran after her. "Randy!"

******************************************************* ***********************

Heero saw his son standing on the opposite side of the dining room table. "I want to know what you did to your sister!"

Dominic shook his head stubbornly. And noting that his father was inching to the left, sprinted to the right, narrowly evading his father's hands. He ran out of the dining room and out the front door. There he saw David and Jonathon in Randy's Jeep Wrangler. "My dad is beyond pissed, I would suggest you drive now!"

"We wait for Randy," David stated as he looked back at the house.

Heero glared at his son, who was in the Jeep out front. He turned when he heard commotion from upstairs.

******************************************************* ***********************

Randy ran down the hall. She could hear her dad behind her. She flew down the steps, but screeched to a halt when she saw Heero standing in front of the door. She stopped and turned around when she saw her dad coming down the steps.

"Randy be good for once and tell us what you guys did," Duo said as he leaned against the banister.

She looked in both directions. She didn't have much of an escape. "Dammit!" she muttered under her breath.

"There's no way you can get by either of us. You're not that fast," Heero said as he crossed his arms. "I already caught my daughter."

Randy started cursing in German like her mother did when she was mad at herself or when she was mad at dad.

******************************************************* ***********************

Relena and Hilde looked at each other and rolled their eyes. "Kids," they muttered as they listened to the goings on.

******************************************************* ***********************

Randy looked at the throw rug on the floor. The front door was still open. She walked back a few steps until she was in the hall that led to the family room. She watched her father come down the steps and Heero walk towards her. She looked at the banister and back at the two of them.

"Randy," Duo said again as he watched his daughter back up a few steps.

She made a running start as she jumped for the railing, standing on it for a moment.

Duo and Heero made a grab for her, but ended up running into each other instead.

And without a second thought, Randy jumped from the bottom of the banister and placed her hands on her father's shoulders, vaulting herself over his head and onto the throw rug, which as predicted slid across the hardwood floor to the front door. She almost fell when it hit the edge of the door, but she took of running. "Go, go, go," she yelled as she leaped into her Jeep as it started to roll down the driveway.

"Damn you, Maxwell," Heero hissed as he pushed the other man away. He ran to the front door.

"Like it was all my fault she got away," Duo retorted as he followed Heero to the door, only to see his daughter's legs sticking out of the moving Jeep. "Dammit!"

"What are you standing there for, we're going after them! Veronica!" Heero yelled.

Duo ran out to his Suburban parked in the driveway. Heero and Veronica ran after him and hopped in as soon as it started down the driveway.

The three Maxwells and the one Yuy didn't have anytime for relief when Jonathon saw his dad in the review mirror. He started muttering curses in English and German under his breath as he pressed his foot down on the accelerator.

"We have to lose them!" Randy said, breathlessly.

"I know that!" Jonathon hissed as he swerved down the road.

******************************************************* ***********************

"Now I know why I never set foot in a car with you again," Heero snapped at Duo.

"Shut up!" Duo shot back as he sped faster.

"Oh man!" Veronica muttered from the backseat.

******************************************************* ***********************

Victoria and Chris were still asleep after another round of energetic lovemaking. They had no idea what was coming their way.

******************************************************* ***********************

Jonathon screeched to a halt in front of the hotel. "Come on, we have to let those two loose, before all hell breaks loose," he shouted as he jumped out.

"Hell has already broken loose, baka," Randy shouted back as she followed her brother up the steps.

"This is bad, this is very, very bad," Dominic said as he ran after them.

"You're telling me," David replied as he took tow steps at a time.

******************************************************* ***********************

"There, her Jeep," Heero yelled at Duo.

"And I know why I hate driving with you! Stop side seat driving, solider boy!" Duo yelled back as he jerked the SUV into reverse. He pulled it beside his daughter's gray blue Jeep.

"This isn't going to be pleasant," Veronica said as she followed the men as they ran up the steps of the hotel.

"Did you see five kids run in here not to long ago. One is a girl with long black hair?" Duo asked the concierge.

"They just went up the steps sir. The girl reserved the honeymoon suite on the top floor last night," the concierge replied.

"Honeymoon suite!" Heero practically shouted. He started for the elevators with Duo and Veronica on his heels. "We'll beat them up there."

The elevator seemed to take forever to reach the tenth floor.

"Next time, go for an elevator!" Randy hissed at her brother as she put her hand on the wall of the stairwell.

Jonathon shot her a rude gesture, which was promptly returned. "Bitch," he muttered as he tried to regain his breath.

"Come on, we have to get Chris and Victoria out of there," David panted as he leaned against the hall wall. He could see the door of the honeymoon suite.

"Before my dad does," Dominic gulped.

The five of them made it to the door. Jonathon and David going to work on the lock.

The elevator door pinged as it opened. Heero, Duo and Veronica stepped out into the hall.

"Shit, shit, shit! Hurry up you two!" Randy exclaimed nervously as she saw the two father's coming down the hall.

"We're trying," David said as he fiddled with the lock.

"HURRY!" Dominic snapped.

"Got it!" Jonathon exclaimed. He pushed the door open.

The five of them slipped inside and shut the door behind them. Their eyes fell on discarded boxers. Their eyes rose as they all peeked around the wall. Eyes widened. "Holy shit!" David exclaimed.

Chris heard the sound of the door opened, but ignored it. Then he heard someone's voice. He opened his eyes. They fell on his brothers, his sister, and Dominic. "What the hell are you guys doing here?" he hissed.

"Chris, what's all that noise," Victoria mumbled as she looked up at him.

"Our siblings are here," he replied shortly.

"They are," she said as she rolled to her back, with the sheet clutched around her. Her face flooded with color.

"It looks like you two had fun," Randy said smugly.

Duo and Heero stared at the door. They looked at each other. They slammed their shoulders into it.

"Now what the hell is that?" Chris asked as he looked at his siblings.

Dominic shifted uncomfortably on his feet. "Your dad and mine," he replied quietly.

"Daddy!" Victoria croaked.

Chris gulped. Her father. Heero. Lots and lots of pain. "SHIT!"

The door shook again.

"Well don't just lie there, hurry and get dressed," Jonathon snapped as he and the others went to the door. They pressed their weight against it.

******************************************************* ***********************

"My shoulder is going to ache for days!" Duo snapped at Heero.

"Stop whining, baka! Now try again!" Heero snapped back.

******************************************************* ***********************

Victoria and Chris jumped out of bed, yanking on their clothes.

The door rattled again. And the four on the other side prayed it wouldn't open.

"One more time," Heero said as he and Duo rammed their shoulders into the door. It gave way.

The four on the inside fell in a heap on the floor as the door fell open. And this was going to give a new meaning to 'all hell breaking loose.'

Duo and Heero pushed the door open and looked at their four kids lying on the floor on the other side. Their eyes fell on the other two in the room, one in the midst of pulling a shirt on and the other pulling pants on.

"I'm so, so dead," Chris whispered as he saw Heero's eyes light on him, then Victoria. He ran his hands over his jeans.

Duo glanced at his son and over at Victoria. It was obvious to him what they had been doing all night and all morning. He glanced at Heero, wondering if he could tell.

"What's going on?" Heero demanded as he went over to his daughter first.

"I…uh…we were both chloroformed last night and brought here, daddy," Victoria said, very scared at what her father would do to Chris.

"Really? And did anything happen?" Heero growled.

Victoria paled. Her eyes shot to Chris. She shook her head. "No, daddy, nothing happened," she replied shakily.

Heero caught her chin in his fingers and turned her head to one side. There was a faint bruise under her ear and another one, at the curve of her neck and shoulder. "Doesn't look like nothing to me," he growled again. His eyes sought Chris's. "What did you do to my daughter?" he asked furiously, already knowing full well what his godson had done with his daughter.

Chris's mouth opened, but nothing came out. He knew he was a dead man.

Duo winced. This was going to be bad. He knew his son was dead.

"Oh man here it comes," David whispered.

"Five, four, three, two…" Jonathon counted down softly.

"One," Randy finished as she closed her eyes.

"Oh God," Dominic muttered.

"YOU'RE DEAD, CHRISTOPHER MAXWELL!" Heero shouted.

"Crap!" Chris yelped as he sprinted past his dad and the others into the hall.

"GET BACK HERE! YOU SLEPT WITH MY DAUGHTER, MAXWELL! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Heero screamed, outraged as he took off after him.

The remaining people in the room looked at each other and ran after them. Duo in the lead.

"It just happened!" Chris yelled over his shoulder at the angry Heero.

"YOU BETTER HAVE A WILL READY, BOY, BECAUSE YOU WON'T LIVE TO SEE THE NEXT DAY!"

Chris gulped again and kept running.

With a burst of speed, Heero tackled the taller and younger Chris Maxwell. He pinned the younger man to the floor and brought his left arm high up behind him. "I'm going to break every bone in your body so slowly, it'll give a whole new meaning to the word PAIN!"

Pain shot up Chris's arm. The shoulder popped.

Duo and the boys, tried to pull Heero off of Chris.

Heero didn't let go.

Duo pushed the others back. He balled up his fist and hit Heero in the jaw with a right hook. It was enough to make Heero's head snap sideways and have the boys pull Heero off. He knelt down by his son. "Chris are you all right?"

Chris ground his teeth. "NO! He just dislocated my friggin' arm!" he hissed as he sat up.

"That's not all that's going to be dislocated!" Heero said in a low menacing voice. He saw Duo's fist come into view.

"Try it again, I'll reintroduce you to my fist," Duo growled as he turned back to his son. He pulled Chris to his feet with his right arm. He took a look at his son's left arm. He could see the swelling. He gritted his teeth. He grasped his son's left hand. "I've done this before and it's going to hurt," he said in a low voice.

"You're going to put it back?" Chris asked with pain in his voice.

"Yup," Duo replied as he looked into his son's eyes. "God, I hated doing this," he muttered. "Lean against the wall and I'll give it a hard pull. It will hurt like a bitch."

Chris leaned against the wall. He saw Victoria out of the corner of his eye. She was watching him with a sad smile on her lips. He felt his dad pull hard. The shoulder popped back into place. "OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! DAMMIT THAT HURT!"

Victoria ran forward to Chris. "Are you all right?" she asked softly.

Chris looked into those blue pools. "I'm all right, babe," he said as he winced. He felt pain shooting up and down his arm.

"You'll need to go to the hospital for that," Duo said as he looked at his son. "And you'll need a sling for now too."

Chris felt Victoria's arm slip about his waist. He pressed a kiss on her tousled hair. "Love you," he whispered.

"Love you too," she whispered back.

"Wait a minute," Heero said as he stood. He could see her concern for Chris. He had also heard what they had just whispered to each other.

Chris and Victoria stopped and looked at him.

"Do you really love my daughter?" Heero asked, as he looked Chris in the eye.

Chris nodded. "I do. I love her a lot," he replied as he looked back at Heero.

"Do you love him?" Heero asked Victoria.

"I do dad. I don't know why, but I love him very much," she answered with a smile touching her lips.

Heero glanced back at Chris and nodded. "You hurt her and I promise I will kill you," he warned.

"Point taken," Chris said as he walked down the hall with Victoria.

"He takes after you," Heero observed as he looked at Duo.

"Most of them do," Duo, agreed, as he looked at his other sons and daughter, who were trying to sneak away, along with the two Yuys. "Hold it right there," he ordered.

"You guys are going to be punished," Heero said. "And not one of you is getting out of it."

Curses in English and German came from the Maxwells. While curses in French, English, and Japanese came from the Yuys.

******************************************************* ***********************

Being made going shopping with their mother for the next month duly punished Jonathon and David. Shopping was something that they both dreaded.

Randy was punished by having to clean the entire house from top to bottom all on her own. The attic down to the basement. She also lost use of her Jeep for a month.

Being made to mow the extensive property for the next month punished Dominic.

Veronica lost the use of her car. Being forced to clean both wings of the house, top to bottom with no help, also punished her.

They all had to contribute to Chris's hospital bill.

Duo for once had control over his kids.

Heero was getting his control back.

And Chris and Victoria?

******************************************************* ***********************

"Are you sure they won't hear?" Victoria whispered as she snuck in Chris's room from the guest room next door.

"Nah, my dad sleeps like the dead. Besides everyone sleeps with his or her doors closed. No one will hear," Chris replied back.

"Are you up to it? You're an invalid you know," she challenged as she leaned over the side of the bed.

"Then why don't you kiss it and make it all better," he replied huskily as he looked up at her through the darkness.

"Devil! You're incorrigible," Victoria laughed softly.

"Yeah, but that's why you love me, ice princess," Chris said as he pulled her down on the bed with his right arm.

Sounds of kisses could be heard before a sharp "OUCH!" was yelped softly.

"Told you, you baka!" she snapped good-naturedly.

"Yeah, yeah. Maybe we should just sleep huh?" Chris asked as he felt her head rest on his chest.

"I think so to. I might hurt you," Victoria said as she listened to his heart.

He snorted. "Right," he drawled. "Like you could."

"Go to sleep!" she said exasperatedly. "Love you…devil."

Chris pouted for a moment. "Love you too…ice princess."

Never a dull moment with the Maxwells or the Yuys…
