In the Darkness
Chapter 9
Seven Gates of Darkness and seven keys to gain
Seven keepers hold the keys so the keepers must be slain
To save the world from evil
The Chosen One must lose his heart
For it is he who holds the power
Or his Destiny shall be lost
A woman read the scripture out of the old book on her old dusty desk. The room they were in was extremely dark and the only light offered were two tall candles on the desk. It cast shadows on the walls were the bookcases were. There were no windows. Just a door that lead to a very long hallway.
She herself was both sinister and beautiful looking. She was maybe five and a half feet tall. She was very thin with long jet-black hair that reached to the lower part of her back. She had dark garnet colored eyes. She wore a long strapless black dress that reached past her feet trailed on the floor behind her. Next to her stood a funny looking creature that closely resembled a goblin.
Once she finished reading the verse out loud she said in a sweet yet venomous voice, "What wonderful literature. It's a shame not many people know it's meaning."
"So in order to open the Gates of Darkness we must destroy the Keepers of the keys?" the creature next to her said.
"No you twit," came a voice from behind. The two of them turned to look at its owner. "It's a prophecy to save the world which means we must do the complete opposite. We need the Keepers alive in order to open the gates. The Chosen One must destroy them if he wishes to stop it."
"Ah my beautiful Draven," the woman said, "I see you've returned. Now tell me, has the Chosen One been destroyed?"
The one known as Draven stepped forward. He was beautiful. He was the shorter than the woman and looked to be around the age of fourteen with a athletically muscled body and short dark blue hair, almost black, with longer bangs that reached his chin. His amber eyes reflected the light of the candles on the woman's desk. He wore black jeans and a dark blue tank top that matched his hair. He wore black wristbands and around his neck he wore a black choker that indicated that he was a slave. On the chocker there was a small gold tag with an "M" engraved on it.
As she asked her question his face sported a scowl before returning back to the emotionless expression that it once was. He answered, "I'm sorry my lady Morleena but he was taken to land of the gods before I could finish him off."
The sweetness of her voice completely disappeared as she yelled, "What!!!"
"I'm sorry milady but…"
"I don't want your petty excuses," she yelled, cutting him off. "I gave you a simple task to do and I expect you to do it!!!"
"Perhaps the boy needs to be punished for not obeying the lady's orders." The goblin looking creature said.
"Yes perhaps he does Drake," she said, calmly now. She walked over to the boy and circled around him like a cat about to pounce on it's pray. "But how shall I punish my naughty pet?" She stopped behind him and pressed her body up against his back. She draped her right arm over his shoulder while wrapping her left around his waist. She slowly licked behind his ear then down his neck before biting down hard on his shoulder.
Pain flashed in his eyes as her teeth dug deeper and she drew blood. His face twisted into a slight grimace but he showed no other signs of weakness. He wouldn't give her that kind of pleasure.
She turned him around and pulled him into a rough kiss. He didn't protest as her tongue dove into his mouth. She would only make it even worse for him if he did. Again she put her teeth to work as she nibbled, not to gently, on his bottom lip causing it to bleed as well. She pulled away abruptly and slapped him across the face, her long nails scratching his left cheek.
He kept his eyes closed and his face expressionless. The fact that he showed no fear of her made her even angrier and she brought her band back for another slap when they heard the cry of the crow approaching.
She turned around as the crow flew through the door and landed on her shoulder. It nuzzled her cheek and she patted it on the head.
"It seems that one of my darlings has found one of the seven keepers," she said as she still snuggled the bird. "Drake!"
"Yes my lady?" he said walking up to her.
"Go find our little keeper and bring them here to me," She said and then added, "Alive!"
"Me," he said surprised. "But my lady why not send Draven out to retrieve them?"
"Because I'm not through with him," she said loudly. "Now stop questioning me and get going. My baby here will lead you to them." She kissed the crow and made a motion with her hand and the bird set off out the door with Drake close behind.
Walking back to Draven she admired her work form a few minute earlier. She traced the bite mark on his shoulder and traced the blood now running down his arm.
"Now," she said seductively, "Time for us to have a little bit of fun."
