Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Japanese Hideaway ❯ And the maze goes ever on ( Chapter 3 )
Shi sat down next to Kit at the worktable in the art class as they waited for the teacher to make his appearance. Another couple walked in and the girl waved them over. "Hey guys. There is room over here." Shi pointed at the empty seats across from her and Kit. The two boys exchanged glances and shrugged before walking over. Kit belatedly noticed that they were holding hands.
"Hi Trowa and Quatre." She smiled in delight. "This is a new transfer student. His name is Kitsune Takahashi. He just moved here from England." She announced to the couple. Turning to Kitsune she pointed at both of the boys who were watching her with patient amusement. "The cute little uke blond is Quatre, which is just like the number four in French and the green eyed, brown haired sweetie next to him is Trowa." Both of the boys rolled their eyes, they had obviously been around Shi quite a bit, as they did not even protest her odd form of introduction.
Kit bowed his head politely and said "Hello." with a small smile. The boys seemed to be quite nice. The teacher entered the room and everyone turned to listen. It was an advanced art class that allowed for independent study and encouraged the exploration of mediums. They would receive only one assignment that quarter. They were to make a series of three pieces that had a central theme using a different medium for each piece. Kit's mind was racing, he had already started preliminary designs for a couple of pieces that were haunting the back of his mind, but the first one was very complicated and would definitely require assistance. He would also need to do some more research and learn more about the technique he figured would work best for the piece. He was absorbed in his thoughts when a small hand appeared waving in front of his face. "Oh, huh?" He gasped and jerked back in surprise.
"I asked if you had any ideas." Quatre repeated his question with a light giggle.
"I have a couple of ideas, but one is really complicated so I don't know how I will be able to accomplish it properly." Shi stared at him in surprise.
"That is the most I think I have ever heard you say in a conversation." She told him in amazement. Kit looked at her with a small grimace.
"Am I really that quiet?" He cocked his head to the side. "How odd. I didn't realize it." He broke off at that and filed it away for further reflection at a later time.
"Being quiet is o.k. Heaven knows, Trowa doesn't talk much either. But that could be because he just likes to listen and feel what is going on around him and likes silence." Quatre volunteered, jabbing his elbow into his boyfriend's ribs. Trowa just glanced at him with an unconcerned look and sat working on something in his sketchbook.
Shi laughed. "If he likes silence so much how did he end up with you?" She pointed at Quatre.
"Beats me." He grinned happily.
As the class went on and people sketched out ideas and plans in their notebooks, Kit began to feel more relaxed around the two other boys. He discovered through the incessant chatter that they were both his age although Quatre looked much younger and that they had been attending the joined elementary and junior high school since they were in kindergarten together. It seemed that they had been living in each other's pockets since day one, but they thrived on it. They were the most closely bonded pair Kit had ever met.
Trowa at first seemed standoffish in his quietness. But it became apparent over the two-hour class that he was a very serene individual. The boy radiated calm and oddly enough, Kit felt that spiritual energy that was apparent around highly spiritual people. He just barely caught the brief mention of the other boy studying to be a Shinto priest from Quatre. That peaked his interest as well. It was a religion that he wanted to learn more about, especially since it influenced so much of the Japanese culture and art. He decided to get to know that other two boys better if he had the opportunity and perhaps he could ask Trowa some questions. Kitsune wasn't one to discuss such personal matters with someone he had just met.
After class was over he made his way to the weight room and started in on his daily routine. At the far end of the room he saw Kouga working out and talking to another boy with long auburn hair in a think braid. The other boy had his shirt off, skin gleamed and muscles bunched under his skin as he moved. Kit could hardly tear his eyes away from the sight. He wished he had his sketchbook with him. The other boy would make such a great model. He sighed and looked away, not wanting the unknown guy to see him staring and get all bent out of shape over it or something. He quickly finished off his routine and headed into the shower to clean up before lunch.
Duo had noticed the other boy glance at him occasionally as he looked in the mirror. He smirked. 'That one will be an easy conquest, if I play my card right.' He considered playing through different scenarios to get the unfamiliar pretty boy into his bed.
Unaware of the plans being hatched behind him, Kitsune strolled towards the lunchroom, absently humming a tune.
~~~~@~~~~
Those two were so loud. Kitsune tried to sleep. He had tucked his earbud headphones in and turned on the soothing thunderstorm CD. While this did block out most of the noise coming from his roommates bed area, it wasn't 100%. He could still hear the occasional husky moan. It didn't help that light from a window behind the screen made their shadows visible. Kitsune could see the silhouettes dancing over each other. Shadow hands caressing shadow bodies. It was sinfully erotic. He didn't want to watch such a private moment, but he couldn't help himself. His eyes were drawn to the scene. He didn't even realize he was stroking himself. His mind was imagining their hands on him. Touching him, their bodies possessing his, bringing him to new highs. He felt the warm liquid as his orgasm shook through him, at the same time that Treize pounded into Zechs for the final time reveling in their own orgasms. They did not hear his small moan; their own sounds of completion drowning out the small noise. Kitsune pulled a small hand towel out from under his pillow and wiped himself off. He sighed quietly to himself, envious of the other two and their relationship. He threw the towel to the end of his bed and relaxed as his CD and hormones made him drowsy.
This was becoming a regular part of his routine, as much as going to class or eating lunch with Shi. It was rare when his roommates did not indulge in sex before sleeping. They were lucky in the way the small apartment was located. The room next to theirs was a storage room and the room above was a laundry. Few, if anyone actually heard the noise they made, except Kit. It was starting to make him feel lonely.
Either Treize or Zechs would often assist him with his homework or sit and watch TV with him, sometimes one of them would stand or sit so close he could feel the heat radiating from the skin of the other boy. He talked to them more now. He had grown to trust them over the past two months. But he wanted more. It was obvious to everyone but himself and maybe his roommates that Kitsune was infatuated with both of them. If they did know they ignored it and treated him as a younger brother. It was frustrating. Kitsune had considered flirting with them briefly, however the fact that they had such a strong relationship with each other and had not given him any cues that they were interested in including him, dissuaded him from further consideration of trying to get their attention in that way.
Kit gazed at his handy work; two of his three pieces were complete. He had not let anyone see this painting yet. It was beautiful, he felt that he had finally been able to catch that spark of sensuality and closeness in the piece that he had so carefully drawn onto the canvas and then painted. The tones being all in shades of earth. Reflecting the skin and muscles, the sculpted planes and lines of the two bodies. A portrait of sorts of Treize and Zechs. Their faces were not shown, just the slop of their necks and their torsos, lying together, hand gently cradling the other. It was a sharp contrast to the porcelain piece he had finished the week before.
The other piece was a sculpture painted in hard cobalt blue and the deepest purples. A conceptual piece that looked somewhat like a human figure holding its knees but was shaped like a bowl, but there was nothing inside and it looked as it was meant to, expressing the feeling of being alone. That was how he saw himself now.
The last piece was not even started yet. It was the most difficult, both technically and personally. He did not want to ask for assistance with the project, but there was really no other way he could manage it.
Sitting at the table in class he waited until Shi, Trowa and Quatre were chatting about their other class of the day and how their projects were progressing. Kitsune surprised them by asking out of the blue, "Can you guys help me with my last piece? It is difficult to do some of things by myself, so I need a couple of people to assist me." He looked worried, hoping he wasn't asking too much.
Quatre looked at Trowa and smiled. "Certainly, we can help you. It will be our pleasure." He answered for both of them.
"That's great. Do you mind going shopping with me after school? There are some supplies I need to get for this project that the art department doesn't have." Kitsune's expressive face showed his relief that they had agreed so easily. His friends generally thought that he had absolutely no confidence in himself.
"No problem. Kit. We think it sounds interesting." Trowa stated.
After the class ended they went out to the front gate and waited for the cab. Kit didn't think he would be able to carry everything back on the bus. He was slightly uncomfortable about the way Trowa and Quatre held hands in public, like they had no worries about what people thought, maybe they didn't. No one looked at them or glared. Even when they started to kiss. That just made Kit more uncomfortable, but for different reasons. He felt a surge of loneliness rise up out of nowhere to attack his hard won façade of composure. They reached the large hobby shop and he sprang out of the cab as quickly as possible. He didn't want to feel so awkward. He didn't want to cry either. He pasted a small smile onto his face and led the others into the shop searching for what he needed.
The large bag of plaster easily weighed 50 pounds, the liquid silicone and cut pieces of wood were also quite difficult to carry. The shop proprietor carefully arranged all the supplies and asked if it would be better to have them delivered to the school.
After asking around school, Kit was able to find some cool old shops that carried odds and ends. He was carefully browsing through the old junk stores in lively curiosity. Quatre and Trowa also seemed to be having fun, looking at all the little odds and ends in the different shops. Quatre even found a really cute antique doll that he thought would be perfect for his older sister's birthday. Trowa found an old print advertising a circus that he wanted to hang in his room. Searching in an old box, Kitsune found a couple of rusty knives that by themselves were not a bit unusual looking, but they were perfect for his project. By the time he finished shopping, he had collected 20 different types of old blades. He carefully tucked them into the cab so that no one could accidentally get poked by one.
"What's with all the knives?" Trowa asked gesturing at the bag.
"It's for my art project." Kitsune blinked in surprise. He supposed it did look a little weird to be carrying around a bag of knives. He hadn't really stopped to consider it before.
"The school officials won't let you just walk in with those." Quatre warned him with some concern.
"I did get written permission to bring them in for my art project. I thought ahead a bit on that." Kitsune told him with a little grin. It probable surprised his two companions as he was generally quite withdrawn and did not really pay much attention to what went on around him. He had a tendency to be self-centered. Not that he was selfish or arrogant, just that he was so focussed on himself and his own thoughts and ideas that he did not accurately understand other people or even most situations. They just seemed to brush by around him as he sat in his own little world.
Quatre had already determined that he was like this to protect himself from others hurting him, but he was hoping to get the other boy to open up more and deal with people instead of tuning them out constantly. It was reassuring that Kitsune had started to talk to Quatre and Trowa, but he knew that somewhere buried deep inside was a much different person. He could feel it, the way the natural personality was repressed. He was searching for the key to unlock the door and let that injured spirit out of its self-imposed imprisonment.
