Late One Night
Chapter 3
It was late Friday morning and Relena watched from the head of the heavy oak table in the conference room as her latest meeting filed out. She shifted uncomfortably in her white jacket, and longed to take the blasted thing off and either burn it or cut it to pieces. If they were going to make her wear a formal jacket to sit through meeting after meeting, they should at least make the goddamned thing comfortable. Heero shifted behind her, cracking his knuckles as he watched the last silver haired old man reach the door, anxiously awaiting the chance to spend a moment alone with Relena for the first time this morning. Suddenly the elderly man stopped in his tracks.
"Miss Relena! Oh how foolish of me to forget!" He said, turning around to face the Vice Foreign Minister and her scowling bodyguard. "Happy Birthday!" He smiled, catching Heero's scowl in the corner of his eye he nodded, "I can take a hint. Have a nice day Miss Relena; I'm sure if your parents were alive now, you'd do them proud with the way you've grown up."
"Thank you Representative Stockwell," Relena smiled, "'Til next time." The old man nodded and hurried out the door. Once the door closed, Relena sighed and leaned back in her chair, looking up at Heero. "Hey there cutie." She said, playfully tugging at the seam of his jacket. "Please stop glaring at everyone during my meetings, it's very intimidating and I don't' want any rumors that the Vice Foreign Minister's personal bodyguard is planning an attack against the colonies." She giggled.
"Not funny." Heero stated, taking the seat to Relena's left. He dropped his head onto his folded arms and sighed, "Five more hours." He muttered to himself, and then he sat up.
Relena sat back in her chair and opened her planner to check when her next meeting was, but instead of finding another meeting, she found a lunch date scheduled and the rest of her afternoon free, she flipped the next few pages and found the same thing, scribbles in Heero's handwriting and nothing else. No motivational peace talks, no meetings nothing. "Hey!" she exclaimed, "I have no more meetings! For the next two weeks!" she glanced at the pages once again and noticed that there was the light imprint of her plans left for the next two weeks left on the pages. "You erased all my stuff!" She glared at Heero, who glared back, nonchalantly at her. "Well?" She prodded hoping for an explanation.
Heero rolled his eyes at his girlfriend. "Well what?" He rolled his head back on the high back of the chair before looking at Relena.
"Heero, why did you erase all my meetings? I can see that they were all penciled in here! Heero those were important meetings!!" Relena yelled, getting up on her knees on the table and grabbing Heero by the collar of his jacket to make him look at her directly. "Do you understand that?!" she said in a flat tone.
Heero nodded, and noticed that he could see clear down her shirt to the valley of her creamy white breasts. He looked up at her, smiled and took her small hands in his as he stood up from his seat, "Oh relax Relena. It's not like two weeks will change anything. Besides, Mandy already canceled all your appointments for the next two weeks." He ran his thick fingers gently up and down hers, slowly drawing her closer and closer to him.
"She what?! With out asking me? Heero! What is going on here? Those were important! What happens if one of those meetings can prevent a war? What is going on-" she was silenced suddenly by Heero's lips crushing against hers and his arms pulling her small form close to him.
"You talk too much." He breathed against her mouth. Relena opened her mouth hoping to protest but Heero stopped her by sliding his tongue into her mouth.
Relena draped her arms over Heero's neck, tangling the fingers of one hand in the short hairs at the base of his head. Throughout the entire meeting the thought of touching Heero right after the delegates left kept her going. He had been busy the night before, doing God knows what. It seemed that every night these past few days that Heero was always busy. He'd get home at odd hours of the night and she wouldn't get to see him. She didn't really like not seeing him all the time but he said he was busy. Who was she to object? His job was just as important as her own. But for the moment, she didn't care about his job, or hers, all she wanted was for this kiss never to end.
"Don't worry Angel, what I have planned for you today will surpass your boring meetings" he breathed against her lips

Duo sat with Quatre, Trowa and Wufei around the Chinese man's desk. "That's it I fold." Quatre said, setting down his hand of cards. The blond leaned back in his chair, running his hands though his hair before crossing his arms and watching the others continue their game of poker.
"Too bad you folded buddy, I'm feeling lucky today!" Duo chanted, smiling brightly as he looked at his cards once again. "I'm gonna win." He murmured to himself.
Trowa rolled his one visible eye as Wufei snorted his disapproval. No one was terribly concerned about Duo winning, he had claimed to win since the game had started, and in all the 6 games that had been played, Trowa had won four, Wufei and Quatre each one and Duo, none. Not even close.
Quatre looked to his left, taking a peak at Duo's cards, he bit back a choked laugh before looking over at Trowa's cards. With a shrug of his shoulders he leaned back in his chair. And Duo thought no one has the cards to beat four Jacks, well Trowa managed to.
The room grew even more quiet, Trowa's face remained unmoved by the amount of money he'd make on this last hand, Wufei swallowed and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. He looked at Duo who seemed to have finally acquired a real poker face, at the two hundred dollars sitting on the table then his black eyes looked at Trowa who seemed in his own world. "All right! Maxwell, I hate you. I fold!" He growled, knowing he would not win. He could see Duo smile from the corner of his eye, "Fuck off it's just a game."
Duo who was very confident about his 3 of a kind smiled as he placed them on the table with the odd five of hearts to the side. "Beat that!"
Trowa rolled his eye again, "Duo, Duo, Duo. I believe I just did." With that he placed his hand of aces on the table. "I win again."
Duo threw his arms up in exasperation, leaning on the back legs of his chair and falling over. "Fuck! Ouch!" He grumbled, looking up at the laughing occupants of the room from beneath his chestnut bangs. "So I've lost how much money that Hilde should never know about? Three hundred dollars?"
Quatre laughed, "Just under two fifty, but I think that it's too late for not telling Hilde. She's right behind you." The blond tried to hold back his laughter but the shocked and fearing look on the braided man's face was enough to make even Trowa laugh. And Trowa was laughing.
"You lost 250 dollars?!" Hilde's bright blue eyes narrowed angrily on her boyfriend. She reached down and grabbed the start of his braid, "You're coming with me." She said, "You're going to work that cash off."
Duo tried to get away from Hilde's viselike grip on his hair but the more he strained the more she pulled and the more it hurt. "Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Hilde- ouch- Babe, let go, that hurts. Babe, please. But it was my money! Hilde you can't tell me what to do with my own cash!" He wailed, being dragged down the hallway by his girlfriend.
Hilde rolled her eyes, "I don't give a damn if it was your or not! You weren't even going to tell me about it!" Hilde scolded, "Now you are going to help me do the finishing touches in the Hall. The caterers are coming in at around 3:30 and I need the tables set up again. I know that we did it yesterday but the night crew had to move things around to fix the lights."
"What does this have to do with me?" Duo asked, still trying to pry Hilde's hands from his prized braid. "Hilde, fuck! Let go of my goddamn hair! Would you like it if I did it to you?"
Hilde sighed and let go, laughing at the death glare Duo was giving her. "Get over it. " she said calmly.
They entered the hall to find Zechs and Noin already there. "Good morning Duo." Noin greeted, then suddenly wishing she hadn't said anything.
"Why do you have to rub it in? So I lost some cash! So my girlfriend made me look like a fool. So I fell on my ass in front of the guys. I lost a few games of poker. BIG FUCKING DEAL!! I'm having a bad day. Leave me alone!" Duo snapped, his cobalt eyes narrowing on the violet haired Preventer agent who stood unmoved by the outburst.
"Well, I was just being nice. You do know that normally, with the exception of Heero, Trowa and Wufei, it is custom to greet people." Noin laughed lightly before turning to Hilde. "I hope you aren't going to bite my head off if I say hello."
Hilde laughed, "Oh, Duo? He's just having a bad day, maybe if he's good and does what he's told I can make it a little better, " In the background Duo lifted his head, hopefully," but until then he's stuck. How are you both?" The blue-black haired woman smiled, grabbing a pen from her pocket and picking up her clipboard.
"Well, actually, we're bored as hell." Zechs said, shrugging his shoulders.
"So basically, anything you need help with?" Noin asked.
"Yeah, actually, I need to get the tables in the back there set up and I need another sound check run, I need to be sure that the speakers are working. They over loaded last night and I think one of them got fried. So we ordered new ones, not like the bureau can't use them, and I need to make sure that they are working all right." Hilde glanced around the room making sure that everything was the same as when she'd left it minutes before. "So basically that's it." She said, not making eye contact with any of the other occupants of the room.
"All right then, let's get to work. I don't have all day ya know." Duo said going to the back of the room and attempting to pick up a table on his own. Finding it was too heavy for him he sighed, "Zechs, can you help me with this?" He asked, ashamed of his lack of strength.
The blond nodded, and went over to assist Duo as Hilde showed Noin the things she needed to be done. "So you screwed up bad." He said, smiling slightly. "How much did you lose?"
"Yeah, she was there when I said I wasn't going to tell her how much I lost today. Which was like 300$ and that's only today. The guys and I play poker maybe once or twice a month. We've been doing it since the time we were all on Libra. Only back then we didn't really gamble, we just played." Duo sighed, lifting his end of the table as the older man did the same. Together they moved the heavy collapsible table to the left and closer to the dinner tables. "What can I say? Poker isn't my game and I know it. I just like to play. Who knows, maybe one day I'll actually win."
Zechs' eyes opened wide at the confession that Duo had never won. "You mean you've played for over five years and never won a game?" Duo nodded. "That's bullshit." The blond laughed, so hard that tears began to form in his eyes.
"Oh will you stop laughing!" Duo snapped. "I'm sick of being the one who is always laughed at. How would you like it?"
With that the blond silenced himself, quite frankly he didn't like being ridiculed, so for the moment he'd be quiet. For the moment. "I'm sorry." Zechs said somberly, "Now, let's finish moving these tables and setting up so we can get out of here."
The braided boy nodded, "Yeah, this is not my idea of fun." Said Duo, looking across the room at the two chattering women, "Especially since we're going to be the only ones doing anything."

Trowa counted his winnings once again, "You know, if I continue this way I'll have more money than Quatre." He stated, his voice never rising from its monotone. He looked across the desk at Quatre who shook his head and Wufei who grumbled something about circus clowns, magic tricks, cheating and injustices. Trowa considered stating that he was in no way a cheater and that Wufei simply needed to control his emotions and learn to play the game, but opted against it the Chinaman would likely chase him with his katana, or anything else that was sharp and pointy.
"Lighten up Wufei, it's not like it's that much money, I mean, hell, Duo lost more." Quatre said, getting up from his seat. "Anyways, I have to go, Kai is dragging me to do some shopping. I hate having to carry bags! Women and their shopping addictions." The blond grumbled. Quatre waved a quick goodbye to Trowa and Wufei before leaving down the left hallway.
Wufei rolled his eyes, "There's nothing to do." He grumbled. "I don't see why Lady Une canceled everything for us today. I mean, it's not like don't have to come in anyways. I mean we have to be here." He said, rubbing his temples. Trowa only nodded. "I could be doing something constructive. Like investigating something, preventing something. But no, I'm here. Doing nothing," the Chinese man sighed heavily dropping his head onto folded arms on his desk.
There was a long pause of silence before Trowa finally spoke, "Yeah, I agree." He said. "I'm going to go find something to do." He stood up, and left the room, once again leaving it silent.
"Injustice." The China man mumbled under his breath after enduring ten minutes of silence. 'Maybe if there was someone here to talk to I'd be fine. I need something to do.' He said mentally. And image of Sally crossed his mine. She was always fun to talk to, or argue with, which ever it was considered. Yes he liked talking to her. Lifting his head, he reached for the phone. Sally was probably still at home, she did after all say that she was coming in late. He called their apartment, but no one answered. The phone just kept on ringing. "Damnit Sal, where are you?"
"I'm right here, why do you ask Wufei." The blond woman's voice sounded from the door as she stepped into the office.
"Onna! Where have you been? I have been looking for you." Wufei scolded.
Sally rolled her eyes, tightening the small black elastics at the ends of her twisted hair. "Oh, I was out, went to a bar, met a few guys took them home. You know the usual." She laughed, as her partner's face grew darker. "What?"
"Nothing." Wufei replied.
Sally sat down at her desk, across from Wufei's and hit the recline on her chair. "So, how much did you lose this time?" She asked him.
"One seventy-five. If I hadn't won I would have lost more." Sally raised an eyebrow at him. "Okay, I won one game. But Duo didn't won at all." He said in his defense. Unlike Hilde, Sally wouldn't over react. But then again, unlike Duo, he had never really bet anything that didn't belong to him, and he also made up for his losses with occasional winnings.
"Nothing new." Sally commented. "Hey, since we're not doing anything wanna play a hand or two?" she pulled a deck of cards from her desk drawer. "Either that or we can go to the training room. I bet I can still kick your ass." She smiled slyly, challenging Wufei's abilities always worked.
"Beat me?! You'll be lucky if you could keep up!" He retorted.
"Yeah, well we'll just have to see, what's your choice?"
Wufei folded his arms over his chest. "Training room. I will win. Let's go." He grabbed her by the arm and they left the room.

Relena giggled as she read the menu before her, "What's Cerveau de Veau Citronée?" she asked, crinkling her nose as she said the words.
Heero shook his head. "Don't order that." He said flatly. "Try something more like, Fillet Mignon sautée avec du vin Port avec des patates pelées. At least you won't regret that choice. Fillet Mignon sautéed in port wine with mashed potatoes."
"Why? I think that Cerveau de Veau Citronée sounds good; it comes with riz; that's rice, and champignons chanterelle sautée avec de la beurre, I think that's mushrooms. It sounds good." Relena said, proud with her limited French and choice of meal.
Heero looked up from his menu, "Trust me." he said. "You don't want to eat that."
"Okay then 'Mr. I Know What The Menu Says', why shouldn't I order that?" She said tapping her fingers on the white tablecloth. She was determined not to change her mind, it sounded good; anything with rice and mushrooms couldn't be that bad.
"It's veal brains, with lemon, wild mushrooms sautéed with butter and rice on the side." He said flatly. He glanced briefly at his menu, "And you don't like garden salads."
Relena crinkled her nose, as he spoke. She hadn't been planning to change her mind, but brains?! She wasn't ready for that yet. "I think I'll go with something with chicken."
Heero suggested a chicken dish and the blond rolled her eyes, "You know, next time I say French cuisine, maybe we should go fast food."
Heero shook his head, "I don't like fast food. After seeing Duo eat six burgers… or should I say swallow six whole burgers and two big orders of fries, I'm staying away from it. Next time I'll make your dinner."
"You cook too?!" Relena almost shot up from her seat in astonishment, "Wow."
The waiter finally came, brining their order of red wine and taking their orders, "It vill not be longue." The waiter said, taking their menus returning to the kitchen.
Heero waited a few moments after the waiter took his leave before looking up at the blond in front of him. "You know, after this we can go to the beach and hang out for a while." His lips quirked into a small smile as their eyes met, " I have the entire day planned for us; I just hope it doesn't rain."
Relena giggled, looking to the left, out the windows, the sky was blue and there were no clouds in the sky, "I doubt it's going to rain." She said reaching out and took Heero's hand in hers, "I don't want it to rain."
The young Preventer nodded, "Then I won't let it."
"So are you going to teach me French?" Relena asked changing the subject. She slid her slender fingers up and down the length of Heero's gently keeping her blue eyes lock with his Prussian blue ones.
Heero nodded, "One day, ma chère." He laughed at the blatant confusion on her face. "Don't worry Angel, one day." He lifted her hand to his lips, kissing the inside of her palm.
They talked for a few moments longer before the waiter came back with their food. "Enjoy your meal. And Appy Birrtday Miz Peacecraft." The dark haired waiter said in a voice thick with a French accent.
Relena smiled, "Thank you." She said, and watched the man in a starched white shirt leave the hall. "Does everyone know it's my birthday?" Across the table Heero nodded, "Great." She muttered laughing under her breath.

Duo sat slumped against the wall holding up a broom with one hand leaning his head on it. His eyelids felt heavy and his face was dirty with dust. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand rolling his head to one side getting more comfortable so he could sleep. He swore to himself that this was the last time he would open the back doors when he heard a strange mechanic noise. No one told him that the cleaning crew was cleaning the ally. No one warned him that cleaning the ally meant sweeping the dirt off the ground. No. They just made him clean up the dirt that was blown into the hall by the big sweeping truck right outside the door. Well the upside was that at least Noin and Zechs promised not to tell Hilde if he cleaned it up.
As Duo's head hit his chest he let go of the broom, dropping it with a loud clank on the tiled floor. He slept slumped against the wall for a few minutes before Hilde came bouncing into he room calling his name in a cheery voice. He woke up with a jolt at the sound of his name.
"Duo! What are you doing back there?" Hilde skipped merrily to the back of the Hall and looked down at Duo, "Duo, you're all dirty." She stated the obvious.
Duo rubbed the sleep from his eyes, "Oh, mmhum. I made a mess, I cleaned it up, don't worry about it." He reached out and grabbed the broom, using it to help him up on his feet.
Hilde smiled, "Looks like someone needs a shower." Duo nodded.
"How come your so cheery?" Duo asked, placing the broom back in its place, behind the stage.
Hilde shrugged her shoulders and began to walk away. "I finished for the day. All I need is the three S's" Duo shot her a look of confusion, "Shopping. Sleep. Shower." She said, "Everything is ready for later, all I need is to do is lock the door on my way out. Which I intend to do when I leave with you."
Duo laughed, and took her hand, "Leaving with you? Sure. But I dibs the shower when we get home."

Heero and Relena entered the mansion, going directly for Relena's rooms so she could change. As they opened the door to the Princess' room Relena stopped, "Heero, do we have to go?" she asked quietly as Heero sat on the corner of her bed. She didn't want to be a disappoint him but she just didn't want to go.
"What do you mean?" Heero asked in a flat voice like he usually did when things displeased him.
Relena shut the door and leaned back against it. "Heero, I don't want to go to the beach. Not today." She rested her head back against it and sighed before sliding to the floor. "I'm sorry."
Heero nodded, still not understanding why the change of mind. "I don't understand. But if you don't want to go I won't force you."
"What's today?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
Heero stared at Relena expecting a trick answer. "Uh, your birthday?" Relena nodded, "And?"
"I'm Relena Peacecraft. It's my twentieth birthday, no matter where I go I'll be stopped and I don't want that when I think about it. Everyone will feel obliged to wish me a happy birthday, and I'll be placed on an even bigger pedestal. Can't we just stay here? I don't want the public, not now." She walked closer to the bed where Heero sat, shaking her hips from side to side, "I can think of something to do."
Heero's eyes widened instantly, "Well, I did have a day all planned out for us," Relena slowly unbuttoned her jacket and the white blouse underneath it, sliding both articles off her body and dropping then in a pile on the floor. "But when you put it that way-" he didn't have time to finish what he was saying before Relena's lips closed over his in a gentle initiating kiss.
Relena pulled away, dragging her tongue over her bottom lip before she spoke, "Thank you for Lunch." She said in that sweet voice that only meant she wasn't done her thank yous. The blond looked down at her boyfriend sitting on her bed, she gently cupped his face in her hand, moving it upwards to tangle in his hair, "Thank you for piling on pointless meetings these past few days," She leaned over, kissing his lips once again. "Thank you for canceling them and thank you for agreeing with me. It's much better to stay in."
Heero nodded, but was cut off from saying anything as Relena shoved him back onto the mattress and unzipped the back of her skirt letting it slide off and pool down at her feet. "I don't remember agreeing." Heero stated.
Relena nodded, "You don't have to remember agreeing, you'll just be happy you didn't disagree." She kicked the skirt at her feet across the room and let out a small chuckle, "You don't know how long I've been wanting to take these cloths off. I wish I could customize my wardrobe for work, jeans, crop-tops, short shorts, comfy cloths, not stuffy polyester suits." She pouted, glancing over her shoulder at the rumpled clothing on the floor behind her.
Heero tucked his arms behind his head. "I happen to think you look cute in that suit. Very sophisticated and sexy." His lips quirked into a small smile at the questioning look she threw at him, "But then again you look sexy no matter what you wear."
Relena went to the bed and straddled Heero's hips; reaching behind her she pulled the elastic out of her hair, letting loose the mass of honey-blond tresses. "That's good to hear." She whispered, leaning down and kissing his lips. Heero returned the kiss cupping her small face in his palms deepening the kiss.
Relena let out a soft moan as Heero's tongue lightly touched hers, and his hands slid down the length of her body to wrap themselves around her waist. She giggled softly against his lips as his fingers pressed into her sides, tickling her. "Don't tickle me." She whined, breaking their kiss.
Heero's eyes Prussian blue filled with something akin to amusement and he repeated the gesture making the blond above him giggle and squirm once more. "Heero!" She whined, her pale blue eyes laughing though she tried to hide it.
Heero pulled Relena back down to him, "Alright, I'll stop, just kiss me again." Relena let out a semblance of a squeak in surprise but soon melted against her lover's lips and returned the kiss eagerly. The blond's slender hands trailed up the length of his muscled arm still clothed by his Preventer, tugging on the sleeve, she silently told Heero to take it off.
Once the jacket was on the floor Relena pulled away from Heero, breaking their kiss once again, she placed a light kiss on the tip of his nose and slide off him. "Well I was in such a rush this morning I didn't get time to take a shower. I'll be right back." She giggled lightly, and blew a kiss over her shoulder as she skipped away into the adjacent bathroom making sure to leave the door open just enough for Heero to see inside.
Heero sat up and watched as Relena teased him once again before throwing himself back on the bed. "Hm." He mumbled to himself. He glanced at the bathroom as soon as he heard the running water and could see the silhouette of the young politician in through the shower curtain. He smiled to himself and rolled over, watching Relena as she took her time in the shower. Finally the shower stopped and Heero laughed to himself when Relena called him to get her a towel. "You don't need a towel." He said, walking into the bathroom with an almost predatory look in his eyes. He took a towel out from the cupboard, and pulled open the shower curtains, reaching in he smiled and felt himself growing hard just looking at her dripping wet body. Her long blond hair only partially wet sticking to her skin and her long shapely legs he shut his eyes briefly and images of the things he wanted to do to her passed though his mind.
Relena reached out to take the towel from his hands as she stepped out of the bathtub and nearly tripped when Heero pulled his hand away. "Hey Heero, I need the towel." The soaking blond yelped as she fell into her lover's waiting arms, still trying to reach for the towel.
Heero smirked, and pulled Relena against him. "You don't need it yet." He crushed her lips to his, lifting her into his arms and carrying her back into the other room. "Have I ever told you how hot you look all wet like that?" Heero slowly lay Relena in the center of the bed, straddling her hips and kissing the hollow at the base of her neck.
Relena shook her head and sighed contently as she felt his tongue slide over her wet skin. She could feel the hardness growing in his pants and knew what her teasing was leading to, not that she minded. She'd expected him to follow her into the shower, he normally did, but this time he hadn't and it caught her by surprise. She figured that he wasn't in the mood but this changed that opinion.
"You do. So sexy, so sweet, so hot." He whispered as his lips trailed down her abdomen. He looked up at her, as his lips found her belly button, he kissed the soft skin he found there poking at it with his tongue. Heero nipped at her stomach, then back up to her lips, as his hands caressed her sides, following the swell of her breasts up to cup her cheek and tangle themselves in her burnt blond hair. "Makes me wanna…" he breathed against her mouth between a kiss but was silenced with Relena's tongue sliding passed his partially open lips.
Her hands fumbled at the button of his pants, trying blindly to opened them and relieve his hardness of its confines. Her small hands found what they were looking for and gently rubbed him, making her lover groan and grind into her hand. She smiled inwardly, enjoying the control she could have over someone as strong as Heero. Wrapping a leg around his waist she pushed his shoulder with her free hand on to his back. She straddled his hips, leaned over and nipped her way down his torso, pushing his pants down as she went lower. She kept her eyes locked with his as her pink lips took in the tip of his throbbing member.
Heero sucked in a breath, "Relena." He seethed, arching up against her. Her small wet mouth took his length in and out, and he moaned at the pleasurable sensation. He could see the top of her breasts heaving with her every breath and feel her erect nipples rubbing against his thighs. "Rel-ena. Mmm, Relena stop." He groaned, trying to push her off him.
The princess nodded, and complied, sitting back on her thighs as she looked down at her lover, who fought the urge of his own body. Her slender fingers traced unknown designs over his bare abdomen, moving down then back up again, teasingly. Relena licked her bottom lip, before she leaned over and placed another kiss on his lips, sliding her lower body back onto his swollen member. She could feel the rise and fall of his chest against her bare nipples as she moved her body up and down on his erection. She kissed him one last time and sat up continuing her motions as Heero's big hands came up to cup her breasts.
Relena's unbound blond hair covered them like a silky golden cape, as they set a pace, meeting each other's thrusts one for one. Heero's fingers pinched at the dusky pink nipples, arching upwards to capture one in his mouth. Her arms wound about his neck holding him to her as he suckled on her breast, and her slender fingers tangled in the curls at the base of his neck as she moved against him.
He could feel her inner muscles tightening around him and maneuvered them so that he was on top as she drew closer to climax. He knew his own climax would soon follow and tried to hold it off, thrusting faster and harder into her. The blond whimpered beneath him, raking her nails down her lover's back as Heero's mouth sucked her earlobe. He could feel her body begin to shudder and kissed her swollen lips, sliding his tongue into her mouth and letting it play with hers. His hands came up to fondle her soft cream-colored breasts, and she moaned into his mouth, arching her back against his as Heero thrust harder into her wetness. Heero kissed his way back to her earlobe. "Come for me Angel." He said, licking the outline of her ear. His thrusts became faster and more frantic as he felt the blonde's nails dig into his shoulders as her inner muscles tighten around him and her body spasm as she came. He paused for a brief moment, before continuing his pace. "That was good, but I want you to come for me again." He said, trying his best to suppress his own need for release until he could come with her.
Relena wrapped her legs around Heero's waist, meeting his quick thrusts one for one listening to his ragged breathing and getting an erotic thrill from his words. Her mind reeled with pleasure and she felt as though every nerve in her body was one fire. "Hee-eero" she moaned.
Heero smiled to himself, "Mmm, Relena" He knew that this union would soon end; his member throbbed within her warm sheath, begging for release. He buried his head in the crook of her neck, thrusting into her a few final times before he came, grunting her name and feeling her go limp beneath him.
Heero smiled and lifted his heavy head, "Happy birthday Relena." He said quietly, kissing her swollen red lips.
Relena smiled, "Hmm…can I just stay here forever?"
Heero shook his head and glanced at the clock, "Unfortunately no, I sort of made dinner reservations too."
Relena bit her lip, "Oh fine then, I guess that dinner isn't that bad." She smiled, and reached up and kissed him, running her hands through his hair. " So where are we going?"
Heero sat up, and shrugged his shoulders as he walked to the bathroom. "Can't tell you." He said, turning to Relena, "Coming?"
Relena shook her head, "Incorrigible." She muttered, skipping after Heero as he disappeared into the shower.

The lights in the hall at the Preventer's HQ were out, and all the guests were hidden from sight, the decorations were hung, the tables were set and the food was ready to be eaten. All that was missing was the guest of honor.
"When's she going to be here?" Duo said, breaking the silence and receiving a chorus of shushes from the others. "No, really, where are they?"
"Duo, shut up!" Kaiya whispered from across the room.
"No!" Duo protested. "Heero called to tell us know they'd be here in five minutes. It's been almost 20!"
"They'll be here." Hilde said, "Now keep it down."
Duo shook his head in the dark corner he stood in, the food smelled so good. His stomach grumbled and he was hungry. He folded his arms over his chest, leaning back pouting at the unfairness of the ordeal.
"Yeah, I just have to make sure that the back doors are locked." Heero's voice came through the doors.
The heavy doors opened, letting a column of yellow light pour into the room nearly revealing the extra decor. "But Heero, why do you have to check and see if the back doors are locked? What point is that? The Preventer alarm system makes it so that the doors lock automatically." Said Relena walking into the room after Heero who seemed to have disappeared into the blackness of the room. The door shut behind her and Relena turned back towards it, feeling a fearful shiver run down her spine. "Heero?" She called. "What's going on?"
Suddenly the lights came on and the hidden guests jumped out of their corners. "SURPRISE!!" They all yelled in unison laughing and snapping pictures as Relena shrieked in surprise and shock.
"Oh my god!" Relena began to laugh, looking around the room and seeing the faces of the gundam pilots, Hilde, Kai, Noin, Sally, her brother, Lady Une, her adoptive mother and a few other colonial delegates that she had become friends with over the few years. Her blues eyes filled with tears of joy and she yelped as Hilde pulled her into a fierce hug.
"Happy Birthday." The blue-black haired woman said. "I knew this was a good idea." She laughed, turning and looked over at Heero who stood leaning against the back wall.
"Thank you." Relena hugged everyone in the room, kissing various cheeks and shaking hands with those she wasn't too friendly with. "I've never been so surprised in my life. Who planned all this?"
All the eyes in the room shifted to three people, Heero, Hilde, and Lady Une. "It was Heero's idea, Hilde's planning and Lady Une's consent and help that got everyone here. But I choose the food. So you can thank me later, but right now, I'm hungry. Can we PLEASE eat?" Duo said, rubbing his stomach and smiling stupidly as he ran to the buffet table, grabbed a plate and began to pile food on it.
Relena laughed, and thanked everyone again, before they sat down at the tables to eat. Everyone watched as Duo ate every possible food on the table except the chow mien claiming that the last time he'd eaten it he got sick; feeling sick themselves the guests stopped eating.
Soon dinner was over and the cake was served. A three layer chocolate raspberry cake with whipped cream frosting and a 'Happy Birthday Relena' written in red cursive letters surrounded by twenty candles. The chorus of Happy Birthday sounded through the room, and Relena made a wish as she blew out the candles.
"Bet I know what you wished -ouch!" Duo squealed as Quatre stepped on his foot and Hilde slapped his ribs making him shut up.
By the end of the night, most of the guests were gone except the pilots, their girlfriends, her brother, Lady Une and Noin. Gifts had been exchanged and smiles were spread around the room. Even Heero and Trowa who spent most of their time brooding were smiling and chatty. There were a few empty bottles of wine on the table and one still closed bottle of champagne chilling on ice. Heero smiled, "Well, since everyone is just about gone, except us, I guess it's time for our gifts."
Relena raised her eyebrows in question. "More?" She asked, feeling as though she didn't need anything else but her friends to make her happy.
"'Course more!" Kaiya said, leaning over Quatre, "But these are from us." Just as she finished speaking Hilde and Duo ran out of the room, coming back moments later with a hatbox.
"But I don't need more. I have enough. I just want you guys here." Relena smiled, lightly.
The group rolled their eyes, "That's what they all say." Milliardo said, handing his sister a small box. "Open it."
Relena crunched her eyebrows, and shook her head but opened the present anyways, this was a battle she would lose and she knew it all too well. Inside the small a sparkling sting of white diamonds surrounded a blue diamond matching the color of Relena's eyes in the center. The Princess gasped and looked up at her brother.
"I didn't know when to give it to you. It belonged to mom, before she died. I think she'd want you to have it. It matches your eyes perfectly, just like it did hers." He smiled, and gave Relena a suffocating hug, "Happy birthday sis." He whispered.
Relena didn't have time to cry, merely reply a thank you and brush away a tear before the hatbox was shoved into her lap. "This is from all of us." Hilde said cheerfully.
"Except me." Heero said raising his hand in protest.
"Yes, except Heero, he was against this." Wufei snickered.
Relena lifted the box, and felt the weight shift, "What's in this?" She asked, realizing that it wasn't a hat. She was told to open it when she hesitated and just as her fingers began to lift the lid, a small purr sounded from the box. Once opened, a small gray kitten jumped into her lap, purring contently to be out of the dark box. Relena gasped and pet the cat, looking up at her friends. "A kitten? It's so cute."
The women smiled, "Isn't she? Her name is Mystique, and she's a few weeks old." Cathy said, reaching out to pet the small cat. "It's for that big empty house of yours, at least now you have a friend when Heero's not around."
At last, Heero stepped up, breaking away from his conversation with Trowa, "My turn." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a neatly wrapped tiny box, and handed it to the seated blond. "These are from me," he said quietly looking down at the birthday girl.
In the small box, Relena found herself staring at a promise ring. She looked up at Heero. "It's gorgeous."
Heero nodded, "Just like you. Relena, I want you to know, that no matter what, I'll always be there for you. I promise that no matter where I am and what I'm doing, if you need me, I'll be there. Forever." He leaned up and kissed her, just as the clock on the wall struck midnight. "Happy birthday Angel." He said, sliding the ring on her finger.
"Happy birthday Relena." The rest of the room echoed.
