Sarah looked away from the screen. Tears filled her eyes. With 5 minutes left of oxygen she had to do this fast.

“During a battle I was hit. I'm not sure what happened but I'm in an uncharted area. I have a fatal wound and no power to engines.” She looked away once again then whispered. “Not that it would help me anyway.”

“I have very little oxygen left. Just enough to finish this message.” Sarah couldn't hold it any longer she burst into tears as she placed a bandaged hand on the screen to steady herself. “I'm so sorry, I failed. I failed you all” Her hand turned into a fist as she punched the screen.

“I'm sorry to all my friends and Lt.'s. I am honoured to have known and fought along side you. To Amber. You're my best friend and the best Lt. I ever had. To Julie. I couldn't have found my old friends without you.” Sarah crumpled into a heap in front of the screen. “I'm so sorry you all have to see me like this but…I…can't help it.” The computer bleeped. Sarah raised her head to look at the gage on the screen. She crumpled into a heap again as she burst into tears. The gage read zero.

“I love you all.” Sarah managed to blurt out. “I won't let you watch me die!” She punched the screen with all her might and all the glass fell out of the screen. Sarah broke down in tears. This was it. Less then a minute or two of oxygen left. She reached over the console and grabbed a half burned picture. A smile crossed her face as she stared at it.

 

It was a sunny day. Quatre had brought a delicious picnic; he set it out on an open space of grass as Trowa took pictures of the group.

“Move in just a little bit closer. Come on guys lets make this a good picture.” Trowa looked above the camera. Heero and Sarah stood under a tall oak tree. Feeling slightly immature they shuffled closer together. Trowa sighed.

“We'll never get this done in time.” He shook his head. “Wufei. Duo. A little help please.” The two looked at Trowa then at the stubborn couple. Nodding as they walked over. Wufei pushed Heero slightly so that he lost his balance. Duo did the same to Sarah so that they fell into each other. Heero being the gentleman turned and grabbed Sarah before she fell over. He pulled her up so that she was only inches away from him. The two smiled just as a flash of light nearly blinded them. Trowa smiled as he successfully took the picture he wanted.

 

The computer bleeped as Sarah woke from her dream. With all her strength she pulled herself up onto the chair. It was so hot and sweat drops fell onto the busted keyboard. She clicked the enter button and collapsed. The computer screen frizzled and spat sparks. A familiar voice could be heard from her ear piece.

“Captain?! Captain?! SARAH WAKE UP! WE'RE COMING FOR YOU!!” Heero's voice shouted in her ear she smiled as darkness engulfed her.
