Heero's eyes welled with tears as Sarah's lifeless body lay on the keyboard. Since the beginning of the transmission she hadn't even twitched. Even so Heero continued to shout at her trying to get her to react. He didn't think that she could even see him. Just a few minutes before hand the station had resized a transmission that gave them hope. They'd been searching since yesterday for her without any sign of hope.

Quatre stopped and back tracked to the main office. He stood at the door. The lights were off only the computer screen gave light just enough though to show a shadowy figure lying on the keyboard. Since Heero had learned about what happened at the battle he hadn't left the computer. Running scans for any trace of her. He hadn't slept at all since then. Quatre stood still as Heero stirred rubbing his eyes; he became aware he was being watched. Quatre walked in and put one hand on his shoulders.
“We'll find her.” He said trying to smile. Heero didn't move. He stared at the screen which just finished another scan. Nothing again. Heero broke down as Quatre tried to comfort him. The computer bleeped.
“Incoming message.” Its emotionless voice informed them as it automatically played the message. Sarah's tired face appeared on the screen. A large cut down one side of her cheek. Her eyes were swollen with tears.
“This is Captain Sarah A. Maxwell of the rebel alliance.” She looked away and sighed. Heero lifted his head and stared at the screen. His eyes filled with hope.
“During a battle I was hit. I'm not sure what happened but I'm in an uncharted area. I have a fatal wound and no power to engines.” She looked away once again then whispered. “Not that it would help me anyway.” Heero looked at her face. He looked more serious then ever as he minimized the screen so he could run a check. The computer bleeped as it traced the signal.
“I have very little oxygen left. Just enough to finish this message.” Sarah couldn't hold it any longer she burst into tears as she placed a bandaged hand on the screen to steady herself. “I'm so sorry, I failed. I failed you all” Her hand turned into a fist as she punched the screen. Sarah crumpled into a heap in front of the screen. “I'm so sorry you all have to see me like this but…I…can't help it.” The computer bleeped. Heero looked at the screen all her words faded into nothing as the computer came up with her location. He jumped from his chair and ran out the door closely followed by Quatre.

Heero's Gundam came into contact with Sarah's. It was just floating through space with no power or engines. The computer bleeped as it connected the Gundam's. Heero undid his double strap belt as he jumped out of his seat and rushed down into the tunnel. He spun the lock as his mind raced. He was exhausted but he had so much strength. As the door clicked open he rushed in and climbed up to Sarah's seat. She was unconscious and she'd stopped breathing. Heero held her close as he rushed back to his Gundam. Stumbling in the dark. His time was running out if he wanted to save her.
