"So," Relina asked sitting down, "what did you guys have for dinner? After all, you let your servants off."

Quatre smiled and said, "We attempted to make a meal."

Relina looked shocked. "Why, in heavens name would you cook? You could have gone out or ordered in."

"Now that I think about it, it probably would have been safer to order out or something." He began to laugh.

They had made spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad.

Quatre took out the noodles way too soon, so the spaghetti was very chewy. And, they didn't get all the water from the noodles before they put the sauce in, so they had watery chewy spaghetti.

The garlic bread was frozen, and they left it long enough. But, something went wrong at it was burnt. Heero had figured out that the package said to bake it at 325, but Quatre had accidentally set it at 425.

The salad was already packaged, so they didn't ruin it.

When the meal was over, the only thing that was really eaten was the salad.

Heero sat down on a small chair, hoping that Relina wouldn't sit down next to him.

Relina took another drink, "Quatre, how much sugar did you put in this?"

"Two spoonfuls. The same as you had last time you were here."

Relina made a face, "I like two and a half, not two. Please fix it."

Quatre sighed and took the tea.

Heero knew very well that Relina took her tea with two spoonfuls of sugar. She had just said that to get Quatre out of the room.

Heero didn't like this ploy. Why did he even tell Relina where he was going? Oh yeah, Relina refused to give him time off unless he told her where he was going. She said it was necessary, `in case of an emergency'

Relina stood up and proceeded to walk to Heero and sit on his lap.

Just think of it as part of your training. Heero told himself. This is a torture training exercise.

Relina rested her head on Heero's shoulder, "So when are we going out on a date? I've been waiting forever for you to ask me out. I know you shy, but we've know each other for two whole years."

Heero was trying to find a way to decline Relina's offer without hurting her too much. He didn't like her, but contrary to popular belief, Heero was kind and didn't like to hurt people's feelings.

In the war he had to be cruel, he couldn't get emotionally involved. It wouldn't have worked, though sometimes he wished he had made it clearer to someone how he had really felt.

"You can take me out to this new Italian place I've heard about..."

Just then, Quatre choose to walk in. from the look on his face, he heard everything.

Quatre smiled politely and handed Relina the cup of tea. He was blinking a lot, as if trying to hold in tears.

Heero noticed that right away. Suddenly he wanted to push Relina off his lap and hold Quatre. But, he didn't. He had always acted on his emotions, but this time he just couldn't do it.
