Heero set his key's on the kitchen table. He wondered what he should do next. He needed to get a new job. But, he wasn't sure where he should work. He had experience and knowledge in several sciences. He knew a lot about weapons, mobile suites and marital arts.

He had been asked to join the presenters, but he had turned it down to work with Relina. He figured he would do more good protecting the princess.

But, he really didn't want to work their, he had don't varies cases when they needed extra help, but it isn't something he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

He grabbed an apple from his bowl of fruit in the middle of the table.

Getting a job wasn't a problem, he was experienced enough in plenty of fields and could easily get him self a collage degree with his hacking skills. But, he didn't want to do that. Quatre could probably get him a job in Winner Corporation.

But, he didn't want to use Quatre in that way. And, even though he had changed a lot, he still didn't like relying on anyone.

He figured the first thing he should do is get a newspaper and check out the classified ads. He wondered who would want to hire a former gundam pilot with an official high school education. (Dr. J wanted the whole education thing out of the way and he got his diploma when he was 13.)

He still had tons of money from the war, probably enough to go to collage. But, he didn't particularly want to go to a school and study stuff he already knew.

In fact, he could probably live the rest of his life with the money he had, but he knew he couldn't stay around the house all day and do nothing.

He threw the apple core away as the phone rang.

He picked up the cordless phone that was on the wall,

"Hello."

Duo's bright voice replied, "Hey!"

"Shouldn't you be a work?" Heero asked.

"Shouldn't you?"

"I quit."

"I know."

"How?"

"Relina called Hilde and complained about you and how you didn't appreciate what you did for her. Hilde must have heard he talk for an hour before she could hang up."

Heero said nothing, but he could practically see Duo's grin.

"Come on, you've finally quit your job! Not you can concentrate on other things then her."

If Heero were a sighing person, he would have sighed. But, as it turns out Heero almost never sighed, instead he said, "I don't have a job now. That is my main concentration, not Quatre."

"I would lock you two in a room, but you would just bust it open." He paused, "You could work at the preventers, no problem."

"I don't want to fight anymore. I refuse to kill anymore. I probably will have to do both if I join the preventers."

"You could get any computer business, he why don't you work with Quatre, he was telling me that he could use some more help with programming."

"Really?" Heero asked.

"I don't lie. Call him tonight and ask."

"If I don't?"

"Its either that or working at a fast food restaurant."

"I could easily start some sort or computer business." Duo chucked softly, "I don't think you're the business type. You'd intimidate people and I don't think you're good at negotiating and stuff."

Heero knew that Duo was right, but he didn't say so.

"Just call and ask."

"Will you leave me alone if I do?"

"I leave you alone about getting a job, but I won't leave you alone until you do something about Quatre."

"Why do you insist on doing this?"

"That's what friends are for."

"To annoy them and butt into their personal life?"

"I was thinking more on the lines of caring about them and pushing them in the right direction, buy you could call it that, yeah."

"Hn."

"I thought I got you out of your 'hn' stage! Look, I've got to go, but I'll call you tomorrow, so you have plenty of time to call him." Duo said with a slight warning tone.

"Fine." Heero said.

"Later, buddy." Duo said and they both hung up.
