Chap. 5

I don’t own, don’t sue
Okay. I usually leave the notes for the end but this one is important. I know plagiarism is very bad, so I don’t practice it (despites what some one or some ones believe). Yes I have been told my story is very similar to another one ( I believe it is called Psy or something I can not remember), but that does not mean it is a copy of it. I came up with this idea independently and their may or may not be similarities between the two. Plagiarism is a very serious offense, so please do not accuse some one of it lightly (me!). I am currently under investigation because someone said I was coping the other story, and since there are similarities in the two they will continue to keep an eye on it. I am not mad, but if you had emailed me or left a comment as many of others have done I would have told you it is my own idea. Well enough with all this serious and depressing talk. On with the story. :)

*So cold. Its always so cold. I hate the cold. Where’s Quatre? Did they take him again? Oh no here they come, this is going to be bad. No I don’t want to do that again, nononono!!!*
“Come on you little toy. Your being let out for some fresh air with your master. Come on. Don’t make us use the shocks on your little white ass.” One of the two guards said as he started to haul a skinny and trembling me out of the stark cell like room. Once I was out the other guard attached a chain to the collar I was wearing, and they started to drag me down the hall to the Play Room.
* No, not there! They said if I was good I wouldn’t have to go in there again. I mean it’s usually painful with out the room. What did I do now? I behaved myself, I didn’t fight with anyone. So why?!?!?
“Thank you for bringing me my toy. You are dismissed. Come now pet lets go. You know what I want. Stop fighting or it will just go worse for you.” While the new man was talking he was herding me toward the Rack.
*Nonononononononono!!!!* I start to struggle with all that I have.
“Duo, Duo. Come on wake up. It’s only a dream. No one will hurt you.” I heard trying to bring me out of my nightmare.
I sit straight up panting and trying to scream. My throat was raw and burning, I cant breathe right and I’m dizzy. There is a loud growl purr coming from right beside me. I finally recognize my surroundings. *I’m safe. I’m here with Quatre. No one can hurt me.* At this point I feel some one holding me from behind, rocking me gently.
“What happened !! Duo are you all right?” Heero asked me, sitting in front of me. That meant that Zechs was behind me. At that point Quatre burst in the room, with everyone else hot on his heals.
“Duo, are you okay? I felt you pain and fear and terror. What happened? Why couldn’t I talk through your mind? Never shut your link down from everyone ever again! Do you understand?’ Quatre started to rant at me.
‘Quatre its okay. Just a nightmare/flashback. I am fine now. I didn’t mean to shut you out completely. I am all right now. Everyone can just go back to what they were doing.’
“Treize, Wufei, can you go get doctor Poe. I think Duo damaged his throat when he screamed,” Heero requested.
‘I am fine.’
“No, your not. I can still tell that you are feeling some pain.”
While all this is going on Shadow decide that she wanted to help comfort me and jumped on the bed with her mate Ravel. Now everyone is talking and asking Heero and Zechs questions, I was situated between two huge cats with Zechs behind me and Heero in front. *I feel really protected at this moment. The only things that would make this perfect is if I was healthy and that they loved me. Oh well we can’t always get what we want.*
“Well Duo, what have you done now? Let me see.”
‘I didn’t do it on purpose. I had a nightmare and I couldn’t control myself from not screaming. So don’t blame me.’ Can I say I felt a little belligerent that she thought I had done this on purpose.
“Well it is going to set you back another couple of days on your recovery. If I have to I will put a voice inhibitor on you to keep you from using your voice, but I don’t want to do that. So lets try and keep quite, alright.”
‘Yes ma’am.’
“Now I want you to drink this. It will help to numb your throat. You still need a lot of sleep and care so stay in bed. Heero, Zechs, make sure that he listens.
“We will. I will stay with him while Heero and Wufei take that one job.”
“We will make it as fast and secure as possible.”
‘What are you talking about? What job? What do teams do?’
“Yeah I have been meaning to ask the same thing. And what do we have to train in?” Quatre asked as he leaned back in Trowas’ arms.
“We do undercover jobs for our government. We will destroy buildings, steal data, and anything in between. You guys will be trained to help us. Quatre you will be training more I the medical side to help us on sight and to tell if some one is lying. Duo you will act as a main relay for us to communicate. We may train you in other areas as well.” Treize explained. “Thank you for your services Dr. Poe. We will call you if we need you again. Also feel free to stop by to check on any of us if you feel the need.”
“That I will Sir. Now you take it easy Duo and Quatre. Wufei, Heero I expect to see you after your mission, just to make sure you are okay. That specifically means you Heero. No more setting your own bones or anything else like that, you understand?”
“Hn.”
“You doubt his honor onna? Women are so weak.”
“Wufei, I would remember who does your physical.”
Wufei didn’t say anything to that, but he looked paler to me than he did before. I was so warm and tired I just drifted of to sleep right there. It just felt so right.
When I woke up again. I was alone in the room except for the two cats. I had one on either side of me. They were both purring and just curled into me.
‘Hey guys, where is everyone? Why am I even trying to use telecommunication with you guys? It is not like you can talk back, even if you could understand me.’
‘That is where you are wrong, young master. We and other animals can understand you and talk with you.’
‘Whoa where did that come from. Who are you?’
‘ I am Raven.’
‘I am talking to a tiger. Is this similar to how you talk with Trowa?’
‘Not exactly, we have something similar but it is more in the context of pictures with feelings. Not that of words.’
‘So why can I do this? Why do you feel so compelled to protect me?’
‘We protect you for the same reason you can talk to us. While you have some of the Magic, you are not just a Magic. You are one of the last remaining fey. You as well as your companion. As such we have a duty to protect you.’ Shadow finally input.
‘ Wait a minute. Are you saying I am a fairy. And what do you mean companion? Are you talking about Quatre? And how do you know this?’
*This can not be real. I have finally lost my mind. I wonder what will happen now. Maybe I am still asleep. That would explain a lot of what just happened. Yeah that is it I am still asleep.* While I was arguing with myself, shadow got up and went to get one of the other two legged creatures to help her master.
“Duo, what is wrong? Duo come on stop out of it. I know what they just told you and it is true. You are what they say. Why don’t you lay down and sleep on it some more.” With that Trowa helped me lay back down. Shadow got back up on the bed and started to purr and rub against me in a effort to sooth me. *I have to say this is very affective. Even if all I seem to do is sleep now. Well I might as well go back to sleep. Maybe when I wake up I will understand this.*

Duo: Please, I bet they have better things to do with their time
DA: All right, just letting you know I am trying to update at least once a month, also I now have a beta to help, but I would like more, but this should make it easier on you to read.
Wufei: Finally Onna. You did something right
DA: Wufei or should I say Wufie, I can still put you in a room with sugar high Duo, or maybe a severely horny Treize, which would you prefer?
Treize: I know which I would like.
Heero: Duo will not be locked up with anyone but myself, or Zechs. Do you under stand? (Pulls gun from no where and point at author)
DA: What ever you say Heero. Just remeber I can lock you up with Relena
(Heero goes and hides behind Duo and Zechs)
