[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Title: Memories of a Bloody Past
Genre: Violence, mystical stuff, demons, AU, language, angst, death (none of the pilot), I'll add more if anymore comes up
Summary: Duo is a nameless demon that was once a heartless murderer of the innocent. Heero is a warrior who is set on making the demon pay for his wicked ways. When he finally confronts the demon, he finds that he has lost his memory. Is this a trick or is something really amiss.
Disclaimer: Nanashi is the name I got off a fic. It means 'No name' or something like that. I want to give the idea to the writer being that that's where I got the idea. I can't remember your name, but you know who you are, hopefully. I don't own Gundam Wing...the plot bunny won't stop biting me. They're pink and rabid, ya know, so don't sue. All you will get is a handful of pocket lent.
Pairings: Haven't of any past 1x2, but I'll keep you updated on that situation.

Bombayoni: Glad to make you happy. I'll try to update on a bit of everything so that you'll have something to read. I know the feeling. Not having something to read is really boring. That's why I come up with so many ideas.

Chapter 9:

Heero continued to cry well after the peak of the morning. Birds chirped happily around them and everything was in bloom. It was a perfect contrast to the horrors the boys saw the night before.

“Heero, we have to go.” Trowa whispered. He stared into red rimmed cobalt eyes.

“I want to kill him, Trowa.” The younger boy whispered brokenly but determinedly. He stood shakily but soon steeled himself. “I want him to suffer just as he made my mother and our people suffer.”

“The day will come for that soon enough.” A voice sounded from the shadows of the trees. Towa yapped angrily at the intruder but stayed his ground.

“Whose there?” Heero called out.

“The one who was sent to train you.” A elderly man stepped from the shadows slowly. Heero and Trowa tensed and stepped back. “I will cause you no harm, Young Master. My name is G.” G bowed deeply without taking his eyes from the two. “I was sent here by the Guardians to watch over you.”

Heero watched skeptically as the man offered a hand to him. He looked at his taller friend then to Towa. Both seemed to grudgingly accept the man's statement.

Just as Heero was about to take the man's hand, an arrow shot through the air and through G's hand. G cried out in pain and pulled his hand back. In short jerky movements he expelled the arrow from his hand and clutched the limb to his chest.

“Don't touch him.” Came the deadly calm voice. G looked up to see General Trieze aiming another arrow at the other man's heart. “What is your business here?”

“I was sent by the Guardians to train this boy.” G seethed. He straightened slowly and stared heatedly at the man.

“Do you have any proof?”

To everyone's great disgust, G lifted his tunic to reveal the symbol of the Guardian of Loyalty. Such a mark bond anyone baring it to the person they were assigned to protect. Betrayal was not an option.

Trieze gritted his teeth and lowered his bow. “If any harm comes to him, you'll be answering to me.”

“The day I betray him is the day I will die from this mark.” G said monotonously. “Come, boy.”

Heero wanted to pull away form the grip on his arm but something told him that if he did his mother's death would be in vein. He let the man lead him down the path.

Towa began to bark angrily as he followed the two.

“No, Towa. Stay with Trowa.” Heero said sadly. He looked back at his friend and waved with his free hand. Trowa returned the gesture. The taller boy looked as if he wanted to follow but didn't. “Bye-bye, todachi. (1)”

A/N: This is short but I had to get Heero's going off with G out of the way. Next chap's going to skip forward a little. I don't know when it will be posted. I'm having serious exhaustion problems. I hope it goes away soon. I don't like sleeping the day away.

(1) Todachi—Japanese for `friend'
