Moon Dream~ Epilogue
I stared at him in awe. He looked exactly the same, and yet, he was completely different, it was like it was him, but then again, it wasn't him, it was someone else, someone completely different. It seemed strange how such a transformation could occur, to turn a twisted monster into the gentle, smiling, polite man that stood before me. He smiled down at me, his blue eyes shining,
"Come now, Relena! Surely, I can't look that different!" he exclaimed, I blushed,
"I'm sorry, it's just… surprise, that's all. Terry, I'm really amazed. And part of me can't believe that you and Persian Ice were one and the same."
"Hn. Only with the help of a microchip or two. Relena, I can't tell you how sorry I am-"
"It's okay. It's in the past, and I know it wasn't your fault. I'm just glad it's over, and everyone is back to normal." I replied, slipping my hand into Heero's, who was standing next to me. Terry noticed the small action, and raised an inquisitive eyebrow,
"So how are things between the two of you?" again, I blushed, looking at Heero, who lifted our entwined hands, to show the ring on my left hand,
"Engaged."
"Nice move, Heero. Though part of me can't help but be a tad bit jealous."
"Don't even think about it." Milliardo replied from behind us. I looked up at him, fighting the grin that slowly made its way on my face. "I'm not crazy about her marrying him, but there is no way I'd ever let her even think about going out with you." A look of hurt came over Terry's face,
"Oh Milliardo… tsk, tsk, you've cut me deep, you've cut me real deep." he grinned, ", but I'm not at all interested in chasing after your sister," he looked at me, "No offense. But, I already have my hands full just going after Angelia."
I looked at him in surprise,
"Angelia?! Who's that?"
"Oh yes… Angie… how could I have forgotten to introduce you to her?" He turned to a car a little ways behind him, motioning to the person inside. A slender female stepped out of the car, quickly making her way over to us. She was very cute. With her curly red hair and sparkling green eyes, she was definitely an eye catcher. Her figure was slim, but nicely curved, nicely modeling a black skirt and baby blue blouse. She smiled at me, extending her hand,
"Hi, I'm Angelia. It's really nice to meet all of you." I took her hand,
"As is the pleasure of meeting you. I'm Relena."
"I know, Terry has told me a lot about all of you. It's really a pleasure to meet the one he's spoken so highly of. Of course, he left out the fact that she was the Vice Foreign Minister." she replied, cutting Terry a side glance. He let out a chuckle,
"Sorry, I forget her position, she's mainly just Relena."
"So how did the two of you meet?" I inquired, curious as to whom the woman really was that had seemingly stolen Terry's heart,
"Angelia's a nurse in rehab at the hospital I was in. And she just so happened to get assigned to me." he answered looking down at her, as she smiled up at him.
"Love at first sight?" Duo asked, they looked back at us, both chuckling slightly,
"Not really…"
"After the first three days, I gave him a black eye." she looked up at him, "He's not the most patient man, nor the most pleasant when he's having to get others to help him." she looked back at us, shrugging her shoulders, "and I guess, I'm not the most patient person in the world either, but he's the only one to have ever made me that mad." I smiled, fighting off the urge to laugh, because I had also been in situations like that, though I never gave Milliardo or Heero a black eye, nor any politicians…
"Oh! I have to go, I have a meeting to go to." Angelia exclaimed, looking at her watch, "It was really great meeting all of you." We all watched as she hurried down the street, disappearing around a corner. At the sound of a sigh, I looked back at Terry,
"Does she know the whole story? I mean about you and us?" he shook his head,
"…No, I haven't found the right time to tell her, but I think she deserves to know. And… I think she'll understand… I hope she will anyways."
"And if she doesn't, does it really matter? It's all over, we've all move on, and the world's back to it's normal, right?" He smiled at me,
"Thank you again, Relena. You don't know how much this has all meant to me. And truthfully, you're probably the best friend I'll ever have, thank you."
That was the last time any of us ever saw Terry. Every now and then, one of the guys would look him up on the computer, just to see how he was doing. We found out that he and Angelia eventually got married, but that was about all we learned, before we stopped checking up after him all together. And from time to time, late at night, my mind would wander back to the time when I met the man named Persian Ice, and how everything had changed in our lives, only to bring us all closer together. In the end, I was grateful to him, because once again, through tragedy came love and triumph…
