"Damnit! Damnit! Damnit!" yelled Kathryn as she kicked a punching bag in a weight room. "Why did I hesitate when he stood there, talking to me? Why?" she kicked the bag again causing a hole to form; and the sand within to stream out. "Now this bag is starting to piss me off." She heard the door of the room open and close. "Can I help you, Duo?" she said without looking.
"It scares me when you do that. Kate sent me to see what you were up to. Personally, I think she has a thing for Quatre." He stood next to her and handed her a bottle of water. "Don't beat yourself up over not killing him last week. There must be some higher being who wants you to take his life another time." Kathryn knew he had a point.
She signed "Point taken. So, her and Quatre, huh? Those will be odd looking babies." She sat down "Should I tell Relena that I killed her punching bag?" she pointed to the sand pilling on the floor from the hole she made. "Or act like it wasn't me?" he just stared at her. "Better yet, I could say that Heero got really horny and need some loving and she wouldn't give it to him so he had to find it in another place. Thrust the hole in the kicking bag." Now he really stared at her
"What?"
"You are one of a kind, Kat. Want to go get something to eat?" he put his hand out to her and helped her up.
"Sure. Haven't eaten since this morning. It's now, what, dinnertime?" she looked at her watch. "Wow. Pass dinnertime. Okay lets go eat. Then I'm going to go bug Kate."
Kathryn quietly opened Kate's door. It was dark inside but for a lamp near the bed. Kathryn saw that Kate was reading.
"Kate…?" Kathryn moved over to the bed
"Hey, Sis. Quatre give me this book, it's really good. It's about this group of guys and how they, and the human race, are pulled into a giant war over power. You should read it. There's a royal family and everything."
"That's okay. Can you walk?"
"Yea, why?"
"'Cause The White Fang are destroying a town 20 miles out. I'm going, along with Duo and Trowa. Wanted to know if you wanted to come alone."
"I can't. Need to rest and be kind to my leg. Don't want to rip the stitches open. It'll take at least two more weeks to heal."
"Yea that would be bad. All right. See ya later." Kathryn walked out of the room and bumped into Quatre. "Oh sorry. Are you going too?"
"No. I believe you three can take care of it. You better hurry though."
Kathryn nodded and took off down the hall as Quatre entered Kate's room

Kathryn jumped into her gundam as Trowa and Duo took off. She caught up to them, quickly.
"So, is the town in flames? Is it worth saving?" she asked over her headset.
"Yes, they're just attacking the outside of the town. Most homes are in the hills." Trowa answered, taking out a MS.
"There are only about 30. If we all took out a good ten or so. We'll be good." Duo said taking out his share. Kathryn did the same. Trowa finished it up.
"That was easy; too easy if you ask me." Kathryn breathed, "Why didn't they bomb the whole town? Why just the out skirts? This doesn't make any sense…"
Kathryn thoughts were interrupted when fire engulfed the town. Screams could be heard even thought were in their gundams. A black MS walked towards them through the flames.
"Hello, Kathryn." Jarod voice rang over their headsets.
"You… you did this?!" duo breathed.
Jarod laughed "Of course. Listen to those screams. Men. Women. Children. It's music to my ears."
"You sick bastard!" Trowa yelled
Kathryn flew her gundam straight at Jarod's MS. Shooting her blaster at him. He fired back. Duo and Trowa joined in. But somehow Jarod dodged the blaster fire. Kathryn took out her saber. She once more flew up to him to take him out with her saber but it went right through him.
"Damnit! It's a fucking hologram!!" she yelled.

Relena watched the battle from a window in her study. A smile crossed her face, her eyes turned red.
"So, my hologram worked. Who could've of guessed it would take her this long to figure it out. She's losing her touch." Relena said, but it wasn't her voice. "Well, I'll just have to make her remember all her training. And who her true master is."
A knock came from the door. "Miss Relena?"
Her eyes went back to normal, along with her voice. "Yes?"
"Do you want to send reinforcements to help out?"
"No, it looks like the Gundams have it under control. Is that all?"
"Yes, Mam." She could hear the young man walk down the hall
"I could get use to this body. It has so much power, for being such a young child."

"He's not here. So where is he?" Duo asked
"Watching us from a far. Taking down notes. Planning on what to do now. Where to hit next." Kathryn sighed "I should have seen that hologram earlier."
"Kat, it was an honest mistake. We didn't even see it." Trowa said,
"Lets get back. There's no use in staying out here. We need to tell Relena to get he men out here to help those left." Duo said, heading back to the base.

Kathryn laid on her bed. She couldn't sleep. To many questions were on her mind. When they got back Relena seemed different. Her eyes look dimmed. Her audited was different too. More not caring about the town and its citizens. She sat up, put pants and a jacket on. `A walk will do me good.'
She walked the halls. Her footsteps not making a sound. She heard Kate sleeping. `Good, if she knew I was up, she would ask a million questions.' She walked till she reached the door to the garden. Opening it, she could feel that it was going to be one of those warm summer nights. Crickets sang as she walked through the garden. She found a bench and sat. `The stars are beautiful to night.' A shooting star flew by.
"Did you make a wish?" Duo's voice whispered behind her.
She didn't turn to look at him. "No. Why, should I have? Did you make a wish?" she made room for him on the bench. He chucked as he sat down.
"No. Haven't done that in years. So what brings you out here tonight?"
"My mind wouldn't let me sleep."
"What's on your mind?"
"Questions, thoughts. Questions about how Relena acted tonight when we got back. She seemed like she didn't care. Her eyes were dimmed too."
"You noticed that too? What do you think it is?"
"Jarod. He got to her. I don't know when. But he got to her."
Duo sighed. "That's what I was afraid of. What should we do?"
"Act like we don't noticed. He's probably doing this to keep an eye on Kate and me. Let Quatre know to keep a watchful eye on her. She could be in danger, like me."
"Who's going to have a watchful eye on you?"
"I can take care of myself. I don't need a watchful eye."
"Everyone needs a watchful eye on them."
"Whose your watchful eye?"
"Everyone around me. I can be your watchful eye."
"Okay, just stay out of my way." She smiled at him "Well, I'm going to bed. Thanks for talking with me. Good-night Duo."
"Night Kat."

Kathryn walked back to her room but stopped when she heard a voice. It wasn't from any she heard before. So she followed it. It was coming from her room. Puzzled, she creped in to her room. The light was coming from her laptop. There was a man on the screen. But she couldn't understand him. She didn't know the language he was speaking. She walked towards the laptop. The man stopped talking, blood poured out of his ear. Kathryn backed up some from her laptop. A new voice came on.
"He plans on killing all of us. Why did most of the village die on us? Scars behind their ears. Many lay dead, Blood poured out of their ears. Children crying. Women screaming. Men dieing. Help us." The laptop turned off, the room was pitch black.
"What the hell do you want from me?" she asked the darkness. "Why am I so special? Can't you just leave me alone…?"

Everyone was surprised when Kathryn took her laptop outside and shot it. When they asked why, all she said was "It had a bug. But its dead now." Kate just watched her sister. She could tell something was up. That worried her. So she went to have a talk with her.
"Hey Kat."
"Hello Kate. Who sent you?"
"No one. What kind of bug did your computer have?"
"One name Jarod who wouldn't let me sleep. All night long the computer kept coming on with pictures of people dying. I can still hear the children crying in my head. He put chips in the men. They have scars behind their ears. Blood poured out of their ears when he didn't need them anymore. I thought you said you never finished that chip?"
"I didn't but I left behind all my notes on the chips. Ways to make it better. Though I did say some stuff that wasn't true. Maybe Jarod found the faults I wrote and fixed them. I had hoped he didn't retrieve my note and they had gone up in flames with the buildings."
"You should have burned them yourself. Or taken them with you. Well, don't worry; I'm not blaming you. It's in the past. Now we just have to worry about tomorrow. You need to tell me what you know about the chip. We also should inform the others." Kathryn sighed. "Don't tell Relena. I think there's one in her."
Kate nodded "I think so too. Just how she acts is odd. When I first was shot, she would say hi everyday. Now I hardly see her. Have you seen her lately?"
"Come to think of it, no. She's always in her office. Haven't seen Heero also. I should ask the others if they have seen him. Well I hate to end the family bonding but I'm going to go see what Trowa and Duo know. Catch later younger sister."
"I'm only younger by 20 seconds, ass-monkey!"
"Love ya too dumb shit." Kathryn waved to her sister and went to find the others.
"Hey you. I have a question?"
Trowa looked over at Kathryn "What is the question?"
"Where were you on the night of Aug 12th, 1882?" she smiled big
Trowa smiled. "I wasn't even born yet. What's on your mind?"
"No one has seen or heard from Heero. Relena locks herself up in her office day and night. There are reports coming in that Wufei might return soon." She told him
"Heero is always disappearing but this time I feel something is different about his disappearances. The whole thing with Relena worries me." He sighed "Wufei will help a great deal if he returns. It's not easy fighting off The White Fang. They seem to be getting more soldiers by the day."
Kathryn nodded in agreement. "Well, I'll go see what Duo knows. Later." She waved goodbye.

Kathryn walked in to the garden. `It looks different in the day time.' She thought spotting someone under a far tree. `Is that Duo? No. Wait? It's that Wufei guy.' She walked over to him.

"Are you Chang Wufei?"
"Who wants to know?" He didn't make any movements.
"Kathryn Hunter. I'm one of the new Gundam pilots. My sister Kate is the other one."
He opened his eyes to look at her. She was shorter them him. She was whiter than him too. Her eyes made a chill go down his spine. `Does her sister look the same way?' he asked himself, standing up more straight.
"So they replaced me with two women? Sad. Where are the others?"
"Heero is missing'. Duo is around here somewhere. Trowa is working on his Gundam."
"How did you and your sister get to be involved with gundams?"
"Doctor J. He helped Kate and I after we escaped from Jarod. Jarod is the leader of The White Fang. If you didn't know. Anyways, you will help fight off the White Fang? If you all well and everything."
He nodded. "My gundam needs some work but it will do."
"Alright then. Go ahead and do whatever you want to do then. Watch out for Relena. I believe Jarod has gotten to her. So watch what you say around her. I'm off to find Duo now. Later." She walked away from him hearing him muddle something under his breath. It took her awhile to hunt down Duo and finally found him in a training room. He was punching a bag.
"Hey Duo."
He turned around "Oh hey Kat. What brings you here?"
"You."
"I feel lucky now. So, what do you need?"
"Just wondering if you had seen Heero lately."
"Nope, and I haven't seen Relena all day. Some of the other guests say she took off early this morning. Didn't say where she was going. Didn't even take anyone with here. Which is odd. Usually she has at least two men with her. Telling her what to do. Wonder where she went."
Kathryn sat on the ground, thinking. Duo sat next to her.

"Got any ideas?" he asked

"Yea, I want a cheeseburger for lunch. Oh yeah, I saw Wufei outside. So I guess he's back. But now I want food." She smiled big
Duo sighed, "Okay go get something to eat. And when you really have something to say come back."
She looked at him "But I need to get into town and you know how to drive. Can you take me into town? I'll pay for lunch." she gave him puppy dog eyes.
"All right, all right. Just don't look at me like that. It creeps me out."
"Yeah!" she jumped up and did a little happy dance. (Really) ((It was really cute))
"What have I gotten myself in for…?" Duo breathed.
Kathryn smiled at him big "Oh don't worry. It'll be fun. I promise!" she jumped up and dragged Duo out of the room. Duo just groaned. After finding a car that wasn't being used, Duo and Kathryn jumped in. soon as it was stared, Kathryn played around with the radio and found a good song.

Duo was surprised that Kathryn could sing. As they were headed out the gates, Kate waved them down. Kathryn opened her window.
"Where you to going?" Kate asked, walking up to the car
"In to town. I want a burger." Kathryn said popping her head out the window.
"Oh ok. Bring me back some fries."
"Okay." Kathryn said as the started to drive off "Duo's paying anyways!!!"
Kate laughed as Duo started to yell "No I ain't!"
