Scene One
(enter Duo Maxwell)
[cool blue reason
empties on the page]
Duo Maxwell sits at his over-sized desk in his one room apartment. Over-sized indeed, it's about 3 times what it should be. But, to Duo, it's not enough. Not enough space, not enough room, not enough desk. He scratches and scribbles on his paper with a queer fire in his eyes, getting smaller with every stroke of the eraser. He sighs, mutters a few choice expletives and reaches for the eraser with an unsteady hand. Rubbing harshly at the paper, he glances at his small, cheap watch.
4:00 AM. There were never enough hours in the day for him. He almost winces as he realizes he has to wake up at six for school and damns himself soundly to hell for not being one year older. He had forgotten to do his homework once again. Oh well, the "senior slide" could piss off for all he cared. He was a freaking gundam pilot..... was...
Maybe returning to school after the war was a mistake, but Duo was too eager to get a try at being a "normal" teenager. They all were. Maybe that's why, instead of joining the preventers, as Duo, Heero, and Wufei had planned, they enrolled in high school.
To be normal.
But now, as Duo glances at the report card he recently received from his public earth high school, he questions if he was ever made to be normal.

He should be flunking. He should be kicked out. But no, he couldn't be a normal teen and live on his own, fight his own battles. Every damn time he got an F, the preventers went behind his back and pulled up his grades. So, when Duo first found out about it, he stopped trying and settled for testing how much "protection" the Prevents were going to give him. It's bad enough that he mysteriously gets $500 every month in the mail, and even worse when he has to burn it when he's starving and working three jobs.
'Damn, Sally, let me do it myself.'
Bringing himself back to reality, he stares at the page he had been working on for the last week. He's still unsatisfied, it's still not perfect. Hands acking, and feeling quite useless, he falls on his bed with one thought in mind,
'It's so hard to be a manga artist...'
!~!...end... a story chapter by Zor...!~!
Zor: THANKYOU MUSE RAY-CHAN!!!! OKKKKK this is going to be a many chapter, on going story! I'm giddy at the thought of it!! I can't wait to do another one. XD ok, eventually, this story is gunna lead into how normal teens are extremely screwed up. its might not sound good now, but in my head, this stuff is gold! I'm not sure if I'm going to include Quat and Trowa, for these reasons A) Quat is most likely running the family corporation and CAN'T go to school even if he wants to. B) Trowa is happy at the circus. I WILL work them in though, but maybe not as main figure heads in the story. PLEASE REVIEW DON'T BE KIND BE BLUNT. !~! ... Zor doesn't own Gundam Wing or "Cool Blue Reason" (by Cake)...!~!
