Guarded by hundreds of statues, all made from pure gold, it rests high, maybe five hundred feet from the floor, on a granite platform."The story was paused as the teller stopped and smiled at the child bouncing with glee on his lap."And do you want to know what it is?" he asked, eyebrow raised in amusement and inquiry."What is it? What is it?" the boy asked, eyes wide with glee as he continued to bounce in his lap.He grinned. "Well, little Guardian, it quite happens to be a pendant," he said simply. Gently, loving, he tapped the boy's nose, setting of in a set of squealing giggles. "A pendant, made purely out of gold and silver, that has the ability to control time."The boy gasped in awe, eyes wide and sparkling.He solemned however. "But you must be careful. For if it falls into the wrong hands, it will destroy the world." He eyed the boy, scrutinizing him. "Do you understand, little Guardian?"The child grinned, nodding vigorously."Now. You would like to know how to find it, would you not?" he asked nonchalantly.The Guardian giggled, nodding vigorously as he clapped his hands in glee. "Yes, yes!""Well. You would need two different things. One, is a vampire." The boy on his lap froze, a mixture of surprise, anxiety, trepidation, and fear on his delicate, elf-like features. "A *willing* vampire," he continued. "The second is a key."The Guardian stared up at him, blinking and watching him expectantly. He smiled; the boy was already extremely intelligent, which was a good sign."Not just *any* key, however." He paused for effect. "*This* key is special. It looks *nothing* like a normal key, and will unlock a power so phenomenal, our human- Er... The human mind is uncapable of understanding it." He smiled fondly. "But *you,* little Guardian, are not human. *You* are the only one who can unlock the mysteries of the Pendant of Life."The child continued to stare up at him in wonder."And you, child, are the only one who can find a way to do this. When the time is right, you will know how."______hm. a little more along the lines of Tomb Raider than I'd expected... ::Srhug:: oh well. hopefully it'll change.by the way. did anyone figure out who the boy is?
