RAGE OF HOPE ( The Story of the Sixth Pilot)
Young Quatre has finally found true love, but the women he found has a past that could be the end of one of the Gundam Pilots. Could this be the end of the Gundam Pilots?

It had been a long time since all five Gundam Pilots had been in the same school and the first time that all five were in the same room. (Thanks to the help of Herro) We had moved from school to school a lot. I wasn't sure if the reason that Herro moved us to this school was because it was within the Sank Kingdom and Relena attended the school or because there was a major Oz base here like Herro claimed. I could tell you this, We had been to many different style of schools both nice and cheep but this one took the cake. It was really nice. The school itself was three stories high. It also had a swimming pool, Stable with horses. Courtyard, and a large gym for sports. The dome that all the students stayed in could hold six students. They had bunk beds near the white wall. A small closet, and a huge bathroom that we had to share with the four boys and two girls in the room next to us. (Boys and girls shared rooms) The room also had a desk seating next to a glass sliding door that leads to a balcony overlooking the sea to the north and trees to the west. If you looked down from the edge of the balcony you can see the white sand beach. The best part of this it was out in the middle of nowhere. Herro Yuy sat at the desk typing on that dam laptop of his, when ever were not on mission or in class he was on that laptop. Duo Maxwell tried to lighten him and get him to have some fun but Herro wouldn't have it, So Duo now laid on the bed above me, And Herro kept on typing. No one said a word. The only sound was the typing, which was slowly driving me nut. I had a kick ass boombox but of course Herro wouldn't let me turn it on when he was around. Sometimes I would lean over and turn it on and he wouldstop typing turning around in his seat and give me a look like, If you don't turn that thing off right now, I'll throw it out the window. Know Herro he would too. I really don't know what is wrong with that boy, it was like he wasn't human or didn't know the meaning of Fun and being a teenager. The door opened and Change Wufie came in the room hands loaded down with tan folders with MILLITY BASE INFO PERSONAL ONLY wrote in bold letters on them. Duo sat up and pulled his legs over the side of the bed. "Hey Wu©man what you got there." He asked slipping off the bed and walked towards Wufie. I laughed to myself. Duo started calling him that a few weeks before and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Wufie grows tired of it and stabs Duo in the back. Hey Duo could be a pain in the butt but he was good in battle. He was also good at playing jokes on everyone and anyone he could get his hands on. He put green hair dye in Wufie's moose once trying to get Herro to smile. It didn't work and Wufie was stuck walking around school for a week with green hair. That was funny. He played jokes on the teacher too. Duo stole five hundred mice and let them loose in the school. Then he put some of those mice in the girl locker room. There was a huge stamped of girls trying to get away from that and Duo was standing at the doorway recording the whole thing. He recorded all his jokes and kept them safely hidden away were no one could find them. Wufie tried for weeks to get the one of him with green hair but gave up looking for it. Duo made going to school really...really fun, but lets just say Relena is not to help with him. She tried everything but kick him out of school to get him to stop, she even told him if he didn't that she would, but Duo knows that she won't so the jokes keep coming. Relena is at her wits in. I told her that he would grow out of it and that he would have to run out of ideas but I think I could be wrong.
I shook my head and pulled a small black metal box from under my bed then unplugged and took my boombox and walked out to the balcony. I shut the door behind me and sat my boombox and the box on the small metal table. Herro didn't care if I played the music put here as long as he couldn't hear. This is were I came if Herro's typing started to bother me. I plugged it into a outlet and opened the metal box and took out my flute one of many things I could play. I hit the play button on the tape player and music started playing I played along getting into the music. Then I heard a clarinet playing along I looked up towards the door to see Trowa Barton playing. I didn't even hear him come out. We played until the song was over then Trowa set the instrument down on the table. I put the flute back on the box and shut it. "Quatre what are you doing out here all by yourself?" He asked me. I turned and walked over to the wall at the edge of the balcony and watched the sun sat over the ocean horizon. "I just came out here to think. I guess." I said. I don't think he know the real reason I had been so quite the last few days. I think I'm gay. I get this weird feeling when I'm around Trowa, like I'm getting right now. How could anyone man or women not love his brown hair or wonderful smile. I mean if I care for him should it matter that were of the same sex? Everyone in the school thinks Duo is Gay. That's why Duo is always flirting with Herro and why Herro acts so mean by pulling his braid or hitting him. How could I tell Trowa that I think I'm in love with him? Trowa smiled and walked over laying a hand on my shoulder. I felt sick to my stomach. I heard the door shut behind me. I turned to see that the room was empty. The other must of left to do something. I turned back and looked over at Trowa. "This is a great sunset isn't it Quatre?" He asked watching the sun. "Yea, great." I mumbled. Trowa looked at me with his big green eyes. "Is something wrong Quatre? I've never seen you like this before."
Something caught the corner of Trowa's eye he turned to look up at the sun as it laid low. "What the hell?" He mumbled I looked up to see something fly past us and crush into the tress near a small cove. "That was no plane, I'm sure that was a Gundam." Trowa said Peeling away from me and leaning over the wall to see if he could see anything. "Should we get the others?" I asked as Trowa went indoors and pulled a small gun from its place under his mat. "Na, they went into town to get some thing. I think we can handle this."
We stepped out the side door of the school and headed down a small path towards the cove. It was it cold for being summer time and I wished I had brought a coat but like me I had forgot. I shivered as a cold arctic freezing wind blow. Trowa turned and smiled at me. He took off his coat and laid it on me shoulders. "You need this more then I do."
"Thanks, is there any change this could be one of Duo's jokes?" I asked as we walked through the thick trees. "No, I would have know if it was one of ours, I've never seen a Mobil Suit like it, and even if it was Duo, he won't be dumb enough to crush his own Gundam. Thou he is dumb to try to get Herro to smile. What's up with that anyway?" Trowa asked still walking down the path in front of me. I smiled, shurgging.
"We better get going." I repled. It didn't take us long to find the huge Gundam. When it fell it took several trees with it, they laid all over the place. The Gundam was not one that I had ever seen. It look like a Gundam but it a sword over its left hand just like Heavyarms. It had a what looked like a huge laser cannon mounded on it's right shoulder. The Gundam half laid half sat against a huge Red Wood tree. It's right arm that it must have lost in the crush laid on the ground about ten feet away. I looked up in time to see ten Leo ships fly by. Lucky the trees were so thick around here that they didn't see us, or the Gundam and they fly on by. Smoke was coming out of the engine which means the engine was overheated. I walked over to the Gundam, I could hear Trowa behind me. I touched the Gundam slightly but pulled it back, it has burning hot. The cockpit door in the chest opened and in the dim light of the sun I could see the Pilot standing in the doorway. The pilot wore a space suit that had a black visor on so you couldn't see his face. I backed up slightly, but he did a flip and landed on top of me throwing me down into the ground. It was been a rainy season so the ground had become really muddy. I tried to get up but the pilot wouldn't let me. I heard Trowa yelling at my attacker to get off me and pulled the gun from that his back pocket. He came at the Pilot and pulled off a shot that hit the pilot in the shoulder and close range. The echo of the shot bounds off the tree. The Pilot yelled and cursed at Trowa the while still seating on top of me he picked Trowa up off the ground and throw him against the tree knocking him out, then hew turned back at me. I could hear his raspy breathing through the suit and I could see myself on the visor. I finally got a scream to come out of my mouth, I mean I didn't have any choose I had some crazy Pilot trying to kill me. The pilot had me on my stomach and started pounding my head against a rock. I don't know how many times he did this, Maybe five or six times. I could feel the blood and mud running down the side of my face. Then a warm blanket took over my body.
Chapter Two
The first thing I did when I woke up was try to open my eyes, which was a big mistake. The light in the room nearly blinded me. My head felt like it was ready to explode any second. I tried to move my to look around which was another big mistake. Pain ripped through my body. "Oh man anyone get the number of that truck." I mumbled I heard the could hear a sniffy of someone and the soft clicking sound of Herro typing and I know that I was back in my room. "How long have I been out?" I asked rubbing my sore head. "Three days." I heard someone say it sounded like Trowa. My eyes were fuzz and they were slowly coming into view. "You were lucky, A couple of broken ribs, a few cuts and bruise, and that bump on your head you'll be fine. That pilot could of killed you." Duo said from the bed above me. "But we found you just in time, We didn't know there for a few days if you were going to make it there Quatre, but I think Trowa was the most worried of all of us." Duo added. I looked over at Trowa who stood near the door watching him. His left arm was bandaged up, which kind of surprised me, like Herro Trowa always tried to be the perfect soldier and I was surprised that Trowa let them fix him up.
I tried to remember what happened the night but nothing came to mine of how I got back here. "How did I get here?" I asked pulling my legs over the side of the bed and sat up. "We were coming back from town and I happened to have the window down and we heard a gunshot then a scream, so we came to see what was going on. We found you face down in the mud and Trowa knocked out cold against a tree and him holding a gun to you." Duo explained he had jumped out of the bed and stood in front of me as he spoke then he moved out of the way to show the pilot that had attacked me. He still wore the space suit so we couldn't see his face, The others had tried to fix his injures as well, he now had a white cloth around it. I jumped up but lose my footing and fell onto the bed again. "That guy tried to kill me and you let him in here!" I said angrily. The pilot stood up. "This is a other Gundam Pilot." I heard Wufie say from his be as he sharped his sword. The pilot reached up and pulled the helmet off. It was a girl underneath! she was no older then me with white dyed hair cut very short and icy blue eyes. I heard Trowa mumbled that he got his ass kicked by a women. Duo busted out laughing, Herro just looked up at her nodded slightly and went back to work. Wufie looked and her then said."You got beat by a women, you are weak." Under his breath. The girl heard this and walked over to him grabbing him by the necking and picked him up. "What about women being weak you raciest pig." She yelled. Then shook her head and let him go. He fell to the ground, landing on his feet he gave the girl a dirty look and went back to work. "Those who think women are weak are really weak them self." She mumbled The girl turned back to me. "I wish to apologize for attacking you earlier, I didn't know you were Gundam Pilots and I was tying to protect Hope." She said coming closer to me. "Who's Hope?" Duo asked. The girl stopped coming closer to me and turned to Duo. "Hope is my Gundam, well Rage of Hope is her real name, but I call her Hope for short." The girl answered looking back at me. "Don't I know you from somewhere?" Trowa asked looking her over. "I don't think we ever meet." The girl replied softly smiling. "That's it! Your Lt. Areia Slayer of Oz. I saw you on the news a few times, you came up missing." Trowa said snapping his finger. "Yea, well Areia is my calling name, my name is Pendragon, Serena Pendragon. I used the name Areia when I was in the army." I tried to get up again but I fell. Serena reached out and caught me. She helped me back into bed. "You need to rest now." She said looking into my eyes. Her suit felt rough on my bare skin. I don't want to sleep I wanted to get up and doing something."I don't want to sleep." I whined like a little kid, or at lest like Duo in the morning. I tried to get up again but Serena wouldn't let me. After trying to get up a few more times she grow tired of trying to hold me down and jumped on top of me again. She held me down and then kissed me on the lips. At first I was shocked but then I found myself returning the kiss. Maybe I'm not Guy after all. I could hear the others coughing loudly. I wondered what there faces looked like? After a min or two she pulled away. "There you better now?" She asked softly. I wanted to say no then maybe she would kiss me again, her kisses were so soft and wonderful. I found myself shaking my head yes. She got off me and smiled to the others. Then go to sleep, I'm going to go take a shower." She said. As she past Duo he grined from ear to ear. "I can't sleep can I have a kiss too?" He joked laughing. Serena smiled can came only inc from his face. Then when you thought she was going to kiss Duo she pulled his braid and kicked him between the legs. He groaned and fell to the ground. She smiled and walked to the bathroom shutting the door behind her. Trowa laughed. I never hear Trowa laughed like that, so happy and lighthearted. "She's going to fit in real well." He laughed patting Duo on the back as he laid on the ground. I closed my eyes and drift off to sleep.
I woke up to the weirdest sound. Laughter. I opened my eyes and looked over to see Serena standing near the desk as Herro typed. She was laughing and joking. But there was another laughed to. I couldn't believe my ears or eyes. Herro was smiling and laughing! As long as I've know Herro I've never once got a smile out of him or even heard him laugh. But this girl comes here and makes him do both on the same time. Duo wouldn't be happy to hear that he wanted to be the one to get Herro to smile. I got up and walked toward them. She stopped laughing and turned to me. "Your awake good, how you feeling, Quatre right?"
"Yea, and I'm feeling fine." I answered. Serena was now wearing a school uniform of a dark skirt and sweater. She looked different then before. She wore a clear blue crystal necklace on a black leather strap around her neck. "Herro is getting me into this school." She said laughing to herself. Herro hit a button on his laptop. The computer beeped at him. "Transfer of Serena Pendragon complete." Herro turned and went back to typing. "Thank Herro, I'm going to see what repairs I can make to my Gundam." I walked near her. "I'll come with you."
We got to the small bay set up far from the school, in the trees. Inside Rage of Hope laid part all over the floor. It's arm laid nearby. Serena had changed into a sleeveless blue shirt and cutoff shorts. She picked up a small computer that was hooked right into Hopes main computer and started working. She sat on the chest typing when I limped over to the Gundam. My leg still hurt. "Hope should be up and run soon. I have to run a check on all the systems." She said not looking up from the computer. I looked over at the other five Gundams sating nearby. They sat one by one across the floor. I saw Sandrock sating last in the line. We had some great adventure together and I had to rebuild him more then once trying to be a soldier like Herro and the others. A beeping sounds pulled Serena's out of her work. She put the computer down and climbed into the small cockpit. She was laying on her back looking up trying to do some wires when I got there. She pulled a small panel down and looked at the screen typing a few codes into it. Then I saw it. A small pics stuck between the screen and the panel. It was a group photo. Everyone in the pics was nice. In the middle was a older man with white hair and a white beard. Beside him was a women about the same age with brown hair she was holding two babies, both wearing a white dress. They looked almost the same. Both had thick brown hair and Blue eyes. Standing beside the women was a young boy with long blond hair and blue eyes he looked about ten. But the little girl being held by the women kept drawing my eyes. She looks like Serena. "They my family." Serena said still typing. "Well at lest I think there my family, you see I was left as a baby in the care of the Pendragon family. I got this necklace, the pics and no answers."
We do have something in common. A beeping turned Serena's head. "Damit" she mumbled hitting the edge of the panel with her palm. She looked up at me. "The power Couplings are total gone, That means I'll have to go into town to get some new ones." My stomach growled. I hadn't eaten anything since the Gundam attack. Serena jumped off the Gundam and whipped her dirty hands on a old rag. "There's not much I can do until I can get into town. I smiled and jumped down beside here, my leg was feeling a little better. "Then Lets eat."
We came into the large lunch room where the students were starting to full. We went thought the line and sat down at the table were Wufie was already seating he looked up at us then went back to sipping his sweet tea. I could smell it from across the room. I sat down beside Wufie and Serena sat across from me. Duo and Herro were in class Trowa was out seeing family or on other words on a mission and wouldn't be back for a few days. I watch Wufie for a second. He had only a small bowl of rice, that about all the Chinese pilot ever ate. I looked down at my tray that was full to the rim with food.
I started piging down on a huge plate on sunny yellow scrambled eggs. Hey I was hunger I couldn't help if I was eating like Duo. Neither Wufie or Serena spoke or even look up. Wufie ate his rice and Serena drank her coffee. I had finished my plate and was looking around for more. I looked over at Serena who hadn't even touched her small plate of Eggs. "You going to eat that?" She shook her head no and pushed the tray to me. I took it and inhaled the food. Serena had finished one cup of coffee and was working on her second. She lend over the table to Wufie. "I have to get into town." She stopped as two boys walked by. Serena smiled and one winked at her. Before she could finish the bell for class to start rang and the lunch room empty as we headed for class. Serena was in my fourth hour class. When she walked in her hands full with books and papers. The teacher stopped talking and watched her come in. Serena dug around and found a small paper and handed it to the teacher. "Class this is Miss Serenity Pendragon, she just transferred here." The Teacher said to the class then she turned to Serena. "While don't you sit there by Mr Winner and Mr. Yuy." She pointed to Herro who sat two seats away from me, next to me was a empty seat. This was the only class that all six pilots were in the same class. Herro sat to the left of me, Serena sat to the right of me next to the window somewhere in the middle. Wufie and Trowa sat somewhere in the back row and Duo had to set in the front were the teacher could watch him. Serena to a set next to me and the teacher turned to write something on the board. The teacher was a short women with graying black hair and worn brown eyes that was hidden behind a pair of thick rim glasses. When her back was turned Serena kicked me hard in the leg. I looked at her and she smiled at me and looked down at her book. Herro watched and shook his head.
Serena never came to dinner that night. She wasn't in the gym where she usual was. I decide to check our room before I send out a search party. When I came into the room I saw it was complete empty, but the sliding door laid open and Serena sat on the wall on the edge of the balcony. She was no longer where the school uniform but a white sleeveless shirt and worn jeans. She didn't even look up when I entered the room but called. "Hey, Quatre come join me." She was outside smoking. I walked out and leaded against the wall. Serena fished out a carton of cigarettes out of her pocket and throw them at me. At first I didn't know what to do with it then I saw that she was offering me one. I took the container and pulled the last cigarette out. Then I throw the empty container into over the Balcony into the sea. Serena pulled a lighter and lit it. This was the first time I had ever smoked, I was hoping even prying that I wouldn't cough, but I did. Serena looked over at me and laughed. "This is the first you ever smoked isn't it Quatre?" She came back on the balcony and walked next to me. I didn't know what to say so I just smiled shyly and mumbled "Aa"
She laughed louder. "Innocent little Quatre, I bet your a daddy's boy." I stopped smiling. She seem to be able to read my mind. "Oh Quater, I'm sorry. I had no idea, When did he..."
"About a year or so ago." I mumbled. I turned to look over the sea. Serena wrapped her arms around my hip. I turned and came with inches of her face. I found myself staring into her icy blue eyes. She took my cigarette and throw both mine and hers into the sea then looked back at me. "Let me make it up to you." She said looking deeper into my eyes. She lend closer to me and kissed on the lips much harder then the last kiss. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her body as close as I could to mine. I let my hand drift up and down her body. Someone coughed loudly behind us. Serena pulled away from me and looked to see Relena Peacecraft stood at the doorway dressed in her little man's uniform her hair was pulled back into a bride. Herro and Duo stood behind her. Duo broke out laughing but Herro didn't even crack a smile just gave Serena a dead stare. "Oh Miss Peacecraft, I must say it is a honor to finally meet you." Serena bowed slightly and smiled. Relena smiled back only for a second. I thought only for a second that Relena remembered Serena from somewhere. "So your the Sixth Gundam Pilot, I would never thought it would be a women." Relena said
"My name is Serenity Jo Pendragon but my friends all call me Serena."
"Please call me Relena"
Serena smiled to her self and all seven teenagers stepped back into the room. "Herro, I have to go to some peace talks with a few Oz officer and I have a really bad feeling about them, I wanted to know if there was anyway that you could come with me, as backup." Herro shook his head no .
"Sorry, Relena but Herro, myself, Quatre, Trowa and Wufie have a mission to go on." Duo answered for Herro. Relena turned to look at Serena. " Hey I don't have anything to do, I'll go with you Miss Relena, we can get to know each other better." I know that Serena had got Rage of Hope fixed a few days before, but she hadn't gotten any missions for weeks. She would be able to see the straight of Oz. "Thanks Serena, They should be here in a hour or so.I looked at my watch, it was late. "Hey guys don't you think we better go. We have to meet the others." The three of us stepped into the hallway of the school and started to the exit. I stopped a few feet from the room. Something wasn't right. Something bad was going to happen to Serena I could feel it. Duo stopped and turned to me. " Why don't you guys go on without me this time, I think I better stay here." They didn't argue with me and left on there way. I stepped back into the room. Relena sat on my bed reading a thick black book. She looked over at me when I shut the door behind me. She pointed to the shut bathroom door. "She's in bathroom, you forget to kiss her goodbye." She joked. "No, I think I'll come with you, the more the marrier right?" I walked over to the closet and pulled out my Tuxedo. Relena was going to say something when the door opened and Serena came into the room. She wore a thin sliver dress with a single thick sliver strap that went up her right shoulder. She still wore her crystal around her neck. "Wow" I thought.
It didn't take me long to change, then we made are way down the hall to the meeting room where Relena was going to meet the Oz officers. When we got there we stopped at the two large wooden doors. There where two men dressed in Oz uniforms. "Princess Peacecraft the Officers are waiting for you inside." One said He opened the door for her. She went in, the guards stopped Serena and me from going in. "It's ok, there my body guards." Relena said coming back to the doorway. Both guard laughed at that. " A women and a boy." The other officers said. Serena walked over to that guard and picked him up way over her head by the collar of his uniform. The other guard looked on in horror. The man was three times her age and had to weight twice as much as her. Serena sat the guard down softly, straighten out her dress and walked through the door, her high heel boots clicking on the wooden floor. I smiled and rolled my shoulders at him. The door lead to a inter hallway that had doors one each side that lead to different meeting room. We walked down the hallway to a glass door that lead to a out door meeting room. They were on a large balcony about forty feet off the ground. It over looked the forest only a few blocks away from the underground Bay where the Gundam were stored. I saw Serena look nervously look out over the forest. She was thinking the same thing that I was. There was a Oz officer seating at a long table, and two standing near the door. Relena sighted and sat down at the other side of the table away from the officer who's name Relena had told us was Thomas Whiteson. I stood on one side of here and Serena stood on the other. "Princess Relena I must say the New Sank Kingdom has become very lovely." The White said pulling a small pink and white flower from a tree overhead and smelled it. I had to agree with the man there, the Sank kingdom and the lands around it had grown from the ashes. The officer set the flower on the table, and pulled his gun from his holder. "It's to bad it's going to be destroyed again." The others men pulled there guns and pointed them at us. Relena jumped up from her seat. " You can't we are a peaceful land you can't, you came here in peace." Relena yelled.
"I lied, rumor is that a Gundam crashed near here. All we want is the Gundam. Serena stepped in front of the officer the gun pointed to her chest but she didn't even flints. "Lt. Slayer." The officer said surprised to see her here. "Not anymore." Serena mumbled. Two of the officers came around and held the gun at our backs. The other tried to grab Serena but she grabbed his arm and pulled him over her shoulder. Then she grabbed his gun and jumped off the Balcony. The other officers shot at her. But Whiteson stopped them and looked over the edge. The only thing down there were bushes where she could of landed but even then the fall would of killed her. Whiteson turned back to Relena. He walked over to her and grabbed her wrist holding it tight in one hand and the gun in the other. "Your friend is dead,and you will if you don't tell me where the Gundam's our. " Relena didn't say anything. A noise turned Whiteson around. Out of the bushes Rage of Hope came out of the trees and came at the Balcony. "Serena NO!" Relena screamed in fear. "A Gundam good, I think your still useful for now." Thomas said smiling yanking Relena in front of him by her wrist. He held a gun to her head and pushed her towards the end of the Balcony where the Gundam was. I wanted to help but the other soldiers had his gun deep in my chest. The Gundam stopped and looked at Thomas. "Give yourself up Gundam pilot or your friend will die."
The Gundam stood there for a second then the cockpit opened and Serena stood there still dressed in the sliver dress her hands on the top of her head. I could hear the men gasp. " There must be a mistake Lt. Slayer." The one behind me said. But Whiteson just smiled. "I always know there was something different about you Lt. Slayer." Relena tried to get away but Thomas held her wrist tight. "You got me now let the others go." Serena called jumping down onto the balcony. The man who she had knocked down run over and hand cuffed her hands then took her away."I'm afraid you and your little friends are going to have to come with us. The other officer behind me put handcuffs on me. Thomas lead Relena out by her wrist. I took one last look at Rage of Hope standing shining in the sun. Somehow I know this was the last time I was going to see her, as the officer lead me away.
I was put in a small cell with Serena. Relena was taken to another room or maybe they let her go. I didn't know where she was. I was chained to the stone wall. Across the room was a small chain fence that went all the way to the roof. The only way inside was through the only door that was locked at all times. Serena was chained to a post inside the fence. Men would come in and out of there all the time both night and day. At lest I think it was night and day with no windows in the cell I couldn't tell. The men would come in and tortured her bad. They never asked any questions just hurt he real bad. All I could do was stand there and watch them as they hit her breaking ribs and other bones, They cut her up, left her to bleed half to death. They even pulled her left arm out of the socket with a sick wet pop, just so they could hear her scream, which they never did. They never laid a finger on me. Maybe because they didn't know that I was a Gundam Pilot. After a while thought her body grow tired and weak. Then the General came to have some fun. He was a huge man with stronger built. He frowned and Serena as I watched from across the room. Behind him, two other officers stood, their faces cold and silent. Their gold and sliver medals shone red under the reddish light that hung high above them on the ceiling.
"Lt Slayer, I don't know how you managed to infiltrate oz and become a officer and betray us at the same time."
Serena's unfeeling eyes started back at him, her face defied the general, a soft wicked and demonic appeared on her lips. The officer recoiled, frowning, drawing his black cane into his body.
"It was easier then you'll ever know, and I killed who ever found out, with my teeth."
The general gasped, confounded by the girls simple answer, disgusted by her words. The soldiers behind him felt their face loose color and they turned away from the girl, about to throw up.
"You Bitch." The man drew close, his fowl breath curling Serena's skin. "Have you ever heard of breath mint." She mumbled to him. He slapped her and grabbed her blood stained hair. "Who did you do this for? Don't tell me you're a little weapon for the secret group of rebels plotting to destroy Oz? Who leads you, Pathetic
rebels that peace loving imbecile Colonel Treize? or is it that gentle talker Relena Peacecraft?" The officers snarled, his lips turning into the an evil grin. Serena didn't stir, didn't even blink, her eyes staring into nothing." Or is those crazy, maimed scientist Doctor S, Doctor J and the others?"
I saw Serena's eyes grew slightly softer at the mention of her guardian's name and her other scientist friends, this throw her off balance a bit. The officers smiled, tapping his cane hard on the hard stone floor. "They taught you to be this cruel, vicious infiltrator, perfect soldier, didn't they?" The general leaded over the girl, his long nose poking at his eye. Serena had to hold back the urge to bite it off, but she remained claim. The general growled, his laugh like crystals on both of our skin. The man reached and unlocked Serena's metal binders with one swift movement. Serena drew in her breath as the metallic teeth let go of her skin.
Serena narrowed her eyes, waiting for the perfect moment when the General would lower his guard and Serena would be able to kill him like who knows how many before. She stared at the officer as the man drew from her, a smug smile on his face.
"You rebel Scum," He said. " Do you believe your petty attempts to defeat Oz would work? You miserable©"
I never thought I would seen Serena go into the rage that she did. She leaped at the man, her nails like sharp knifes on the mans's skin. She bite savagely on the mans ears, clawing at his face. Serena gripped the man's neck, her slender, yet powerful fingers digging deep into the General. The officers behind the general seemed frozen in their places, starting at the beast that this young girl had become.
The general snarled, bring his metal cane up over Serena's chest in defense, with one powerful swing he sent Serena crushing against the stone wall.
Serena shook her head, bring her hand up and touched her bleeding head. I hear her cursing under her breath, as she tried to focus and get to her feet quickly, but the general was faster. Serena yelled as the officer brought his metal cane over her head roughly, breaking skin and bone.
I screamed at the men to let her go. The general yelled at one of the other men to shut me up. He walked over to me shut me up by put tape over my mouth. I mumbled something but you couldn't hear over the tape. The soldier put the top of my head slightly and walked back over to the others. There was nothing I could do to help her.
"You want to kill me?" The man yelled. The two officers behind him took their guns off their belts and cocked them in one movement. They pointed it at Serena's head. The general smiled as the young girl failed to get to her feet, her left leg was broken. Serena raised her cold, dead eyes and started at her captor, her expression like a captive animal. I hated see Serena like this but there was nothing I could really do. The general snarled again his eyes darkened with hate and fear.
"Grab her," He commanded. "Hold her tight!"
Serena didn't cry out as the rough hands of the two officers dragged her from the floor, holding her savagely. They pulled her thin arms to her side, I could see that their nails were digging into her skin. She lifted her head and narrowed her eyes in silence. The general smiled, his eyes shinning with a deep hatred as he lifted his cane over the girls body. He licked his lips, his wrinkled dark tongue moving slowly over his parched lips.
"Pathetic little girl." He said, his voice cracked. " I'll kill those who sent you, those who aided you, those who speak for your cause. All those who dare dream that such people like you may dare to attack us. I'll silence Miss Peacecraft and her dream of peace between the earth and the colonies. I'll kill Colonel's Tres's hopes for a millity withdrawal and destroy your pathetic scientist's master mind all of them." The general brought the cane across Serena's face. "I'll start with you and your little friends."
Serena bit her tongue as the cane smashed her face over and over and over again, breaking the skin and cracking her bones. Her blood sputtered into the officers that held her, staining their face, hair, and uniform. She felt her mine cry out for mercy as the general laughed, mercilessly smashing his cane into the girls chest, her face, and into her stomach. Ripping her lip, her mouth was all bloody, her chest broken. Serena's body crumbled in the tight arms off the officers, falling forward, inert, her mind was screaming madly, horribly, but her lip sealed.
She didn't once scream out loud.
"Scream, you Bitch!" The General yelled.
The soldiers released Serena's arms, Her broken body falling still on the floor in a pool of her own blood. I tried to scream but it couldn't be hear through the tape. The general snarled, bring his cane hard on Serena's back, cracking her will. The girl's body laid on the floor, now really inert.
The general sat on his feet close to her. she wanted to reach up and punch him but her body wouldn't let her. "You know don't you that you and your friends are dyeing in at sunrise for your crimes?" He said pulling her hair so that Serena was looking into his eyes. "To bad you were a good Lt." He let go of her hair and the three officers left the box locking it behind them. Before leaving they ripped the tape off my mouth. "Sleep tight, you got a big day tomorrow." The general laugh shutting and locking the large metal doors behind him. I yelled at Serena but she had slipped into a dark pit.
The day of death came all to soon. Relena and I were brought out first. Relena was not to badly hurt. We were lead to a large open court yard of the oz base. The General stood smiling and joking on a large wooden platform. There were three other men armed with large raffles. We put on the right edge of the platform away from the shooters. When the General was sure we were in place he tuned back to the cell doors. " Bring out the prisoner." He yelled. The cell doors opened again and two officer I think there were the same ones as before dragged Serena's broken body towards the platform. She no longer wore the bloody sliver dress but a plain white dress and no shoes. The people who watched were people from a nearby city. They had came to watch the death of the great Gundam Wing Pilot. Many of them had helped them before. They laid silence. There were several Oz officers in the group. They boo and throw food at Serena. The other people did nothing afraid to speak up, afraid that they too would fall victim to Oz's guns. The two Oz officers dragged Serena's broken body up the stairs onto the platform and tied her to a large post. I looked around to make sure there were no tape recorders taping this. Good there wasn't any in site that means that no outside this town has seen the sixth Gundam pilots face, ever one would only now that the pilot was caught and that she was the Lt. and was going killed with two other traders. Now all we can do is hope that the other pilots heard and came after us. The general walked over to Serena. "You have been tries as a trader to Oz, and has been sentence to death, But if you beg for mercy I'll make your death quick and painless." The General said loudly so ever one could hear. I heard the crowed chanting "mercy" soft at first then louder. After a few min the general raised his hand and the crowed stopped. "The trader has something to say." I sucked in a breath. "Serena don't." I thought. Serena looked up at the General and spit in his face. He slapped her across the face, then grabbed her hair. "Before we kill you and your friends we want to see your precious Gundam be blown to bits." He pointed to a large screen to the right of the platform. Everyone turn to look as ten men floated out in space putting little black boxes all over Rage of Hope. They got off and backed far away from her. Serena's eyes filled with tears as she looked over to the general as he let go of Serena and went to a table and picked off a off white colored box with a red button in the middle. He smiled and still looking at Serena he hit the button. Serena looked back at the screen to see Rage of Hope blow up in a flash of color. I think that finally broke Serena. She stood there tied up fighting the urge to cry. The general sat the box back down on the table and picked up a black blindfold and walked back to Serena lifting it to tie it around her eyes but she pulled her head away. "No, I'm a warrior and I will die as one dying for what she believe in." She said weakly. She looked back up at the screen, the dust was just starting to disappear and you could see the remains of Hope. She looked back at the general her eyes filled with anger and coldness. "You may destroy me, but others will take my place. You'll never get rid of the Gundams, we will have peace." She whispered in his ear. The General smiled and punched Serena in the stomach. Relena screamed in surprise. I know that ever Relena Peacecraft was scarred for the pilot life and her own. Serena bent her head and caught up blood. I wanted to run towards her, to help her, but the two large officer holding they guns deep in our back won't let me.Serena swore under her breath and gave the general a dirty look. The general walked over to beside the men with the ruffle. "Ready.."
The men raised the guns. I wanted to tell her how I felt before... Oh god I couldn't let her die with out knowing the truth. I pulled everything I had together. "Serena" I yelled to her. She turned and looked at me. "I love you." She smiled and nodded. "Aim..." Serena yanked her head back her eyes were filled with fear and sadness but she never failed she stood there head held high. She was the perfect Soldier. "Fire" Then she did something I never thought she would do. She raised her voice and screamed "FREEDOM TO ALL THE COLONIES!" really loud then the men fired and Serena's body fell as far as the ropes would let her. I broke away from the guards and run to her. I untied her and she fell into my arms. I pulled her close to me and I sat on the platform. I didn't care if people saw me crying. I loved her. I let a tear fall down my check and landed on Serena's forehead. "Don't worry your going to be joining her real soon." The general said looking over at me. I looked up at him angrily. His face changed into surprise and shook. "Your one of them, well two for the price of one." He raised a gun at me. I just sat there unable to move. "I'll be with you soon my love." I whispered I closed my eyes waiting for the shoot. I hear it go off but I felt nothing. I opened my eyes to see the general fall and Relena standing behind him gun smoking in her hand. The other officer were shocked at first but then run at her guns blasting. They fell down as the huge Gundam Deathscyth blasted the men away. I set the body of Serena down and stood beside Relena. The general crowed over to the table and took a black box. Relena was the first to see him. She yelled at me and I turned to see him. "If I go down, I'm taken you with me." He mumbled. "Shut, there's a bomb under the stage." I mumbled. There was no time to stop the mad general I grabbed Relena and pushed her off the stage landing on the soft grass a few feet away. The whole stage blow up and bit of wood went all over the place. After it was over I got up off Relena and looked at the burning stage, there was no sign of Serena. The door of Deathscythe opened and Duo appeared smiling. He jumped down and helped Relena up. " I see you really didn't need my help, huh buddy." I laughed softly looking at the stage.
It had almost a day since the death of Serena, and rumor got around the school that Serena had been in a accident and they wasn't sure if she was going to live. I had got flowers from the students and all the girls wanted to know if I needed anyone to talk to. I sat alone in my dark room. All the curtain had been shut and everyone had left for class. Herro with the help of Relena had got me out of class for a few days. I sat on my bed tears still running down my cheek. I stared at Serena unmade bed. I missed her. A knock at the door pulled me out of deep thought. Maybe there go away. I waited another knock. More flower or another female student any way I really didn't want to deal with it right now. I got up and wiped the tears from my eyes and walked towards the door. Another knock louder this time. "Coming, Coming." I got to the door and throw it open, in the dimly lit hallway stood Millirdo Peacecraft, Relena older brother. He was missing and thought to be dead. In his arms he carried the body of Serena. How he had got her off the stage in time and here without anyone seeing was beyond me but I really didn't give a crap at that second. I let him come in and I shut the door behind me. Millidro lied Serena down on her bed, then turned to me. "If she lives give here this.' He handed me a small letter. "But Why?" I asked taking the letter and put it in my pocket. "Just give it to here it will tell everything she needs to know." He said leaving me. I looked down at Serena who wasn't even moving. I had to get some help for her now.
I got her to the ICU of the local hospital within min. They had to help her. I spent the next four weeks by her side. Reading to her in Arabian, or telling her funny thing that Duo did. She used to love it when I told her those stores. The other came and visited us. Duo came the most. He would come and set at the foot of her bed for hour and then fall asleep. After six weeks in the hospital Serena woke up. I stood by her side holding her hand as the doctor looked at her chart. He had a long list of things wrong with her: From five broken ribs, a broken leg, ten other broken bones, to a dislocated left shoulder, and cuts up and down her body and there were still test to run. I was just happy that she was alive. I gave her the letter to read. She read it and smiled. "It makes explains everything." She mumbled. She held the letter close to her chest and wouldn't let me read it. She turned her head to cough. "My chest fells so heavy Quatre." I saw something on her pillow My stomach turned as I touched it with my finger. I turned and yelled at Duo who was seating in a chair fast asleep, he woke up and I yelled at him to go get a doctor. "It's blood." I said as soon as Duo had left the room. "I'm no doctor, but I would say that one of the bullets hit your lung."
"Quatre hold me." I crawled into the small bed and held her close to me again. "You can't die, not now." I said as I felt tears form in my eyes, I know I was going to lose her. "Quatre I love you with all my heart but I'm not scarred to die, but do me one thing before I go?" She asked touching my face with the back of her hand.
"Anything"
"Don't forget me." Then I felt her slip away from me, as she laid her head on my chest and closed her eyes. "SERENA, NO PLEASE!" I yelled shaking her but she was gone. I pulled her body closer to mine. " I will never forget you, goodbye my love."
Duo came in with the doctor but he just shook his head at Duo. Serenity Pendragon had died at 6:30 A.M.
I sat in bed as the bright light of the mid afternoon shown through the window. I hadn't eaten or sleep in three days and I really didn't feel like going to class. I know that the others were worried about me. But they couldn't miss class and left me alone. I remembered the letter that I had gave Serena. I had stuffed in my pocket and never read it. I seat up and pulled the crumbled letter out of pants pocket that laid on the floor. I throw the Pants back on the floor. I unfolded the letter so I could read it. It said:
Dear Serenity Pendragon
I h this letter finds you well. I know of your shadowed past and come with news. It is time you learned ÁÁthe truth. It is true that you were given to Thomas Pendragon as a baby by your real parents. I also know of the pic. Because the little boy in the pic is me, and the other girl is your twin sister Relena. You are Serenity Peacecraft of the Sank kingdom. I hope you will understand that after the fall of the Sank Kingdom our parents had no choose but to take us somewhere safe. I do hope that you will come and see me after your better.
Millirdo Peacecraft
I understood now the same as Serena had but I still felt like part of me was missing. Relena got to same letter. She was shocked but relived to know the truth of Serenity Peacecraft. Somehow Relena got a hold of Serena's body and planed a huge funnel for her. I guess it was the right thing to do, after all. Relena only let the close family and the Pilot to could come. I couldn't stand it standing here in the back of this old church I had to see her just one more time. I run up to the coffin were Serena laid. Her body seemed so pale and cold. Not herself. Why was I so upset about death. I've seen people die before. Maybe because she was a class mate, of maybe because she was a fellow Gundam pilot, not I know why, it was because I loved her. I then did something that I never thought I would do, I lend over and kissed Serena's corpse right on the lips.
She opened her eyes!
I'm not lying she started breathing again, her heart started beating. She was alive. It was like something out of the Twilight Zone show, except the problem was that stuff like this doesn't happens. Not that I'm objecting. God no. The instant Serena opened her eye...It's hard to describe..but...I wasn't alone. Not anymore. That part of me that was missing was whole again.
That night Herro and the other left for a mission, He wouldn't let Serena go. He told her she was in no shape to go. I stayed behind to watch her. I think he did it just to leave us alone. I took a shower and let the water flow over me. I turned the water off after a while and reached out and grabbed one of the white towels that Duo had stole from a hotel. I wrapped the towel around my hip and opened the door. The room was cold and I shiver as I stepped in. Water dripped off my skin and hair onto the floor. Serena stood near the wall. She wore a bra like top that zipped up the front and cut off jean shorts. She kept hitting her shoulder against the wall then would curse under her breath. I know what she was doing. She was tying to pop her shoulder back in place. The doctor had forgot to put it back. I slipped on a pair of boxer under the tower and then seat the towel on the bed. Serena looked over at me, smiled and fingered me to come over and help her. My hair was wet and stuck to my neck and I was just wearing a pair of Boxers but I walked over and just stood there. Serena took my hands and put them on her bare shoulders. Her shoulder felt like fire on my cold hands. "Just hold it tight." She whispered. I put as much presser as I could against the shoulder. Then she yanked her shoulder and there was a loud wet "Pop" as Serena put her left shoulder back into her socket. She didn't even cry out. She looked into my eyes and was about to kiss me when a knock made both of us jump, You want to answer that I'm support to be dyeing in same bed." She joked walking to the bathroom and shutting the door behind her. When I was sure she was away, I went to the door and opened it. A young girl from the school stood there, still dressed in the school uniform. She had bright red hair that went down her back and sharp green eyes like Trowa's. She carried a basket of red, pink and white flowers. She looked at me standing there in my Boxers. I shrugged. "I just got out of the shower. " She smiled and handed me the basket. "Here Quatre I thought you could use these." I looked at the flower then at her. "Quatre are you ok? She asked trying to look into the room, but I blocked the way. " I thought I heard voices do you have company?" She asked. "No" I quickly replied still not letting her look inside. "Are you sure because I'm sure I heard..." I was growing tired of her. "Yes, I'm alone."
She looked up at me. "I'm sorry Quatre you must feel horrible right now." I nodded slightly. "Tell me something, is she your girlfriend?" I was surprised by that. I never thought Serena as my girlfriend but I did love her. I didn't know what to say.
"Aa"
I heard myself say. She lowed her head as if she had lost a great battle. We both hear a crush from the bathroom. "Thank" I said and shut the door before she could ask. I felt really bad about slamming the door in her face but she couldn't know about Serena yet. "Well if you ever need someone to talk to you now where to find me." Her voice called through the door. I heard her footsteps walk away I walked over and opened the bathroom door. Serena stood there smiling from ear to ear. "Sorry" She mumbled. She stepped out of the bathroom and turned to me. She patted my check softly with the back of her hand. "Is it true what you said, about me being your girlfriend?" I touched her black eye, she pulled away. She turned her back to me. " I don't want you seeing my like this." I pulled my arm around her hip and yanked her around looking into her eyes. "I don't care what you look like." I leaned over and kissed her. She returned the kiss and I wrapped my arms around her. She pushed me over to the bed still kissing me. Before I know it it was over and I laid in her bed under a thin sheet, her head on my chest. She had one hand over my hip the other to her side. Our legs were tangled together. Serena laid there sleeping. I kissed the top of her sweaty head. We both were still breathing hard. Then the door opened. I didn't have time to react. Herro came into the room with the other right behind him. They were arguing about something. They stopped midsentence when they saw us. I heard someone drop something glass on the wooden floors. I think it was Trowa or Wufie. Duo stood by Herro his mouth wide open in deep surprise. "Uh, hi guys your back early." I said poking as Serena trying to get her up. She finally woke up, when she saw the others she jerked up taking most of the sheet with her. "Um, Hi guys what's up?" She ask trying to asked as nothing happened, but it was kind of late for that. "Talk about being out of character, who are you and what did you do with are sweet young Quatre?" Duo joked the others laughed but Herro just stood there. This was the beginning of a new adventure for the Gundam Pilots.
