Relena ran her fingers through Heero's hair as she smiled at his sleeping form. For once, she was able to have Heero stay with her through the night.
'Maybe our relationship is changing, maybe he's secure enough to stay with me.', Relena thought to herself as she looked at the moonlight drifting through the window shades.
'It was a night made for new beginnings.', Relena thought as she moved towards the window, to look at the sky and the night.
Heero turned, his instincts telling him that he was alone in his bed. He saw his angel, leaning on the windowsill, her head upturned to the stars, twinkling in the night sky. Part of him wanted to move Relena from that spot, it was a security risk, but another part liked looking at her profile, the classical, fragile-looking woman, yet, inside, she was just as strong as the rest of them.

Relena turned to face Heero. She knew he was awake, he would as soon as he sensed she wasn't where he thought she should be. Heero's Prussian-blue eyes twinkled in the moonlight, as he patted the space next to him. Relena complied to his request, sitting down next to him. Heero brought Relena down to him, kissing her thoroughly, before he let her up to her original position, Relena gasping with the intensity.

Relena took a breath before talking. "Heero, I've been thinking about this for a long time.", Relena said, fidgeting a little bit. "Heero, I just want to know, why do you have such a strong need to keep our relationship hidden. Its weird, you're so possessive, yet you want to keep this such a deep secret.", Relena continued, waiting for Heero's reaction.
Heero looked thoughtful for a moment before speaking. "Relena, its hard to explain.", Heero said, his eyes pleading with her not to take it the wrong way.
"You are mine, my angel, you were my salvation during those dark days after Mariemaia's rebellion. That's something that I haven't been able to share with anyone.", Heero said.

Relena began, "I know that you have gone through a lot of hard times, I was there when you felt suicidal after Mariemaia, when you truly needed to find a reason to live after living your life for the battlefield. But I think its time to let go of those last ties to
the past and to fully live in the present."
Heero looked incredulously at Relena as her words worked through his mind.
'Living in the past', Heero thought, 'Maybe my need to keep this secret was a tie to the past.'.
Then Relena continued, "Plus, Zechs wants me to date this guy from Romafeller for political reasons."
Heero looked at Relena, beginning to become furious before kissing Relena again. Ending the kiss, Heero laughed, "I know you made that up."
Relena shrugged before saying, "That's another reason why we should bring this out in public."

Heero didn't answer Relena, as his eyes darkening as he looked at Relena, clad only in a sheer nightgown. Heero kissed Relena lightly on the lips before moving to her neck. Licking and biting down Relena's neck, Heero burrowed in the hollow of Relena's breasts, breathing in her scent and the lingering vanilla musk perfume that Relena wore during the day, as his fingers started to play in her wetness, making her want him as much as he wanted her.
