Warnings: Slight NCS, Angst and tons of romance ^_^
Disclaimer: How many times do I gotta say it? I (that's me) do not own the greatest anime in existence (that's Gundam Wing) and it's sexy pilots (that's Wufei, Quatre, Duo etc.) So don't sue!
AN: Phoenix is mine! Don't steal him or any of my OCs!
"Has he been found yet?"
"No, Sir. We have been unable to..."
"I don't want any more excuses! I want the boy found!"
"Yes, Sir. I'll see to it that Leon Rhymeless will be brought to you very soon."
"I care not for the boy. It's his Mobile Suit that interests me. When the time is right, kill him."
"As you wish, Sir."
"Excellent. Attention. You're all dismissed."
~*~*~*~*~*~
Dawn rose at the pilots' current safe house. The sky looked absolutely glorious, no cloud in sight and the sun just rising, completed the scenery's beauty.
Everything was quiet now. The moans and avowals of love had eventually died down last night, but Wufei had still found it impossible to settle into sleep. How could he after what he had just been through?
Just thinking of what would've surely happened to him if that mysterious boy hadn't shown up out of nowhere was enough to make him want to gag and... and cry.
As soon as the sun had risen, said boy jumped out of bed and showered quickly.
He dressed in his usual attires, which consisted of his baggy white pants which were secured with a black sash round his small waist, blue tank-top and the Chinese tunic over it. On his rather dainty feet, he put on the black slippers.
After he tied his hair in the usual tight ponytail, Wufei took his scimitar (1) and got ready to go for his usual training.
Before he left, he went quietly towards the room that Heero now shared with Duo. He opened the door slowly...
The two lovers were now asleep, with Heero holding on to the slightly smaller teen rather protectively. The contented look on Duo's face practically shone on him.
Wufei stifled a deep sad sigh when the braided one suddenly breathed, and pressed his face closer to his love's chest.
Suddenly, the Chinese boy couldn't look at the sight anymore, and quietly closing the door back behind him, he ran outside. Once out of the safe house, the raven-haired boy calmed the pounding of his heart, and held down the tears that threatened to overflow.
Shaking his head, he made his way into the woods, where his precious Nataku was hidden.
~*~*~*~*~*~
The young red-haired boy walked around in the woods, which also happened to be his home, as he whistled cheerfully. He was making his way to the rather big stream for his morning swim. His mind however, was on other things.
For some reason, he couldn't stop thinking about the boy that he had saved the other night. In all his seventeen years, he knew he had never seen such beauty, but that wasn't the reason he was so drawn to him.
The moment his eyes had fallen on those onyx depths, he had seen so many things. Innocence, fear, sadness, loneliness, love, regret and pain, oh so much pain that it was truly heartbreaking to look into them.
Just as he was nearing the stream, he heard that sweet voice speaking. The voice sounded very sad.
Phoenix knew that he shouldn't be doing this, but his curiosity was too big to ignore. Quickly, he found a good hiding place where he could see the younger boy clearly, and listened carefully to what this angel was saying.
~*~*~*~*~*~
When the Chinese boy reached his destination, he removed the camouflage net from Nataku without thinking twice about it.
He slowly put his sword down, and knelt down before his Gundam, while closing his sloe eyes. Taking a deep breath, he re-opened them, and began to speak in his soft tenor voice, filled with love and sadness.
"I am sorry Nataku. I have failed you once more. My heart has been stolen and I don't know how to get it back. It has been destroyed, and the pain is slowly but surely killing me...
Last night, I couldn't even protect myself from ordinary men. I truly am weak..."
The boy paused to quickly wipe away the single tear that had managed to roll down his bronze cheek.
"I... I am lost. Nataku... show me the way, please."
Wufei couldn't say any more words. His voice was choked, even though he wouldn't let the tears make their travel from his eyes, down his cheeks and finally to the ground underneath his feet.
Quietly, he removed his tunic and folded it on the grass. Then he took his sword, and his training began.
~*~*~*~*~*~
When the boy named Wufei stopped speaking, Phoenix placed a hand over his chest, feeling his heart beating hard and fast.
So, the younger teen had feelings for someone but they weren't returned. And the redhead could tell that those feelings were very deep.
His Prussian blue eyes widened when the Chinese boy took the scimitar in his small hands and started to move, as if he were in some kind of trance.
The boy moved with such grace that Phoenix couldn't take his eyes away from the lithe, nymph-like creature.
Suddenly, the boy couldn't take it anymore. Jumping onto his feet, he swiftly made his way to the other side.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Wufei suddenly had the feeling that he was no longer alone. When he heard the sudden rustles and movements, he confirmed the fact that someone else was here.
He quickly whirled around, pointing his sword at... his savior's throat!
His eyes widened in complete shock and horror. This wasn't supposed to happen. It was a strict rule that no one was to lay his/her eyes on a Gundam, unless they were the five pilots, and live. Now Phoenix had seen it and he'd have to...
Said boy didn't, couldn't move. He had lost himself in those eyes again. The pain was there, and it was bigger than he had ever imagined.
'Who could've been that person who stole your heart this way?'
To Wufei's annoyance, the other boy grinned cheekily at him.
"Ya know? You might as well put your sword down, because I know you'd never attack me," the red-haired one said matter-of-factly.
"What makes you so sure?" Wufei challenged.
"So, this beauty here be Nataku, eh? I hafta tell ya. She's nowhere as great as *my* Gundam."
The Chinese boy's eyes widened further, if that was possible, as he slowly lowered his sword from the stranger's neck.
"You're a pilot too?" he found himself asking with sudden curiosity.
"Yup. Taught myself everything I need to know 'bout Mobile Suits," Phoenix replied proudly, standing in such a way that he sort of reminded the younger boy of that, "Braided thief," he muttered spitefully under his breath.
"What? D'you say somethin'?"
"N... no!"
Phoenix's grin grew wider when he saw the other boy try to fight a small blush.
'Ah, but he's just too cute for words!' he told himself happily.
"I... thank you."
The older boy looked at Wufei curiously and replied, "For what?" He was completely unaware of how much pride this was costing the other boy.
"For saving me..."
Suddenly, the older boy's eyes narrowed and his grin disappeared completely.
"Those bastards. They had no right. And that pedophile perverted..." the boy trailed off.
Images of this same beautiful pilot before him, underneath that man, who was so close into taking away Wufei's virginity, etched themselves in his brain.
Said boy closed his eyes to stop the tears, and nearly screamed when he felt himself being pulled into Phoenix's embrace.
He was about to push him away, but he froze when his cheek made contact with the taller boy's chest. The beating of his heart against his ear soothed him unexpectedly, and his own heart began its slow procedure of healing.
"You want to cry, I know."
"Never."
"Keeping all this pain inside you isn't healthy."
"I can't. Masaka."
With that, Wufei managed to regain his composure somewhat, and he tried to pull away from the redhead's arms. Phoenix looked down at the tiny pilot in his arms. Reaching out, he brushed a finger across Wufei's cheek gently.
Said boy stiffened once more when the older one's finger came into contact with his skin. After a short while, Phoenix withdrew his finger and his eyes narrowed when he saw that it was wet.
He showed it to the smaller boy, whose eyes widened and filled with unshed tears.
"See? You want to cry," he said gently, placing his hands on the Chinese boy's shoulders. Wufei first looked at those hands on him, then his gaze lingered upwards and their eyes met once more. His tears were becoming harder to contain.
'Heero! Why couldn't you love *me*?' he mentally cried.
Out loud he said, "Warriors don't cry."
"Everyone cries at one point or another," Phoenix said calmly. The Chinese boy glared up at him as best as he was able, and quickly removed himself from the other boy's grip. He placed the camouflage net on his Gundam once more.
The red-haired one watched silently as Wufei put his tunic back on and retrieved his scimitar. Just as he was about to leave, he swiftly grabbed the smaller boy's wrist and spun him around.
Wufei gasped in shock.
Suddenly he couldn't see the boy standing before him anymore. He was back in the city, with the cold wind blowing against him...
~*~*~*~*~*~
"You're going to be mine now, my beauty."
'No! Not again!'
That man thrusting brutally into him, kissing him bruisingly.
'Please not again!'
A muffled whimper, as he tried to push the man off.
Another thrust followed by another, harder and faster.
'NO! Please... STOP!'
The man's cronies whispering in his ears...
"Slut."
"Whore."
"Bitch."
"No one will ever want you again."
'NOOOOOOO! HEERO!'
~*~*~*~*~*~
"HEERO!" the Chinese boy suddenly screamed in fear and pain. The tears that he had fought so hard to hold back were now flowing fast down his cheeks.
Phoenix himself was shocked with this reaction. He hadn't expected to suddenly bring out those painful memories and cause him to cry in such pain. His thoughts halted completely when Wufei dropped his sword from his hand and closed the distance in between them.
His heart pounded furiously against his ribcage when the smaller boy pressed his face to his chest as he cried, the sobs racking his small body violently.
'Heero. Who is this Heero? How could he let all this happen to you?'
Phoenix suddenly remembered clearly when their eyes had met for the first time... Wufei had screamed out that boy's name. It became more than obvious now that Heero was the one that this boy, who was currently in his arms, loved dearly...

(1) Wufei's sword is NOT I repeat NOT a katana. That is a Japanese sword. From a Wufei expert I learned that his sword is a scimitar.
Well, how was it? Tell me! Tell me! I demand you review. It wouldn't take you more than a minute to do that!
For those who read the first chappy and enjoyed it, thankies. And an especially big thank you to WacheyP87 for reviewing me. ^_^
