*There's two other characters who aren't related to Gundam Wing but I need them here for the part. O0o0o0o yeah… all of them are like around 18 years old except for Milliardo/Zechs and Noin [they're like 22-23]. And since this is the first story I've ever wrote for Gundam Wing… please don't mind if the GW characters seem a little OOC…*

Ooookaayyy… on with the story! Enjoy!

Chapter 1: There's A Time For Relaxation And A Time For Work

"I don't want to go! I'm fine! I don't need a vacation! Can't you see I'm-" Relena yelled and screamed at her brother before almost passing out but he caught her. "Yes, Relena, I can see that you are very tired and exhausted from all this pressure from work and the people's wishes and that's why you need this vacation. You're not superhuman and you can't always be there for everyone. This'll help you relax for some time… besides you need it," Milliardo scolded and lectured Relena at the same time.

<<She had just gotten back from her office and told Pagan to drive her home. Once she walked through the front doors of her house [actually she now shares home with her brother and Noin since they came back from working on the Mars Terraforming Project] and up the stairs to her bedroom, she saw Milliardo sitting at the edge of her bed, with arms crossed across his chest and looking straight at her.

"Uh… what are you doing in my room Milliardo?" was the first question Relena asked. "Relena… you know you've been working way too hard and way too long throughout the days. You need to give yourself a break. So-" Relena had cut him off right there, "Oh no… I know what you're going to say… you want me to take a vacation?? No way! I'm needed here more than anywhere else! The people need me! I can't just leave them." "Relena! Listen to me. I'll take over your job for now. I want you to take this vacation… don't make me make this an order." Milliardo (A/N: sorry to butt in but I'm tired of typing Milliardo… way too long… it'll be Zechs now, aiite?) said with stern and determined eyes pointed towards his little sister. She glared right back at him. "Since when did you order me around?" Zechs just stood up, and headed towards Relena's clothing closet, took out a large suitcase and threw it on the bed. "Start packing. You're going and that's final."

Relena looked from the suitcase to Zechs' face and to the suitcase again and to him again. "And just where am I going, dear brother?" she said with some sarcasm dripping on the last part of the question. "To Australia." "To… Australia? Australia? You mean… aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! No! I am not going! No! No! No! that's too far away! What would happen if the world was crisis and I'm not here to fix it!! Aaaahhhhh!!!" Relena screamed. "Damn it Relena, SHUT UP!" Milliardo screamed over her voice. Relena kept on saying something about not needing a vacation. Milliardo noticed that it was going to be a long, long time before she'd calm down, so he coolly walked past her towards her closet and just started packing all sorts of things for her-shirts, pants, dresses, [under clothes he'd let her do it herself], towels, shampoo and soap, and other essentials. So, that's how the screaming started…>>

Relena shakily stood up out of her brother's arms. "No, no… don't worry, I'm fine. Really, I am." Zechs stared at her unsure of what to say at the moment. Then he nodded, "Alright, but you are going to Australia, and if you want company, call a couple of old friends up and invite them to go with you, okay?" Relena slowly nodded, "Alright, I think I will invite some friends." She had a thoughtful look on her face for a moment. "Oh! I know whom to invite! I know exactly whom!" her face had quickly changed from thoughtful and depressing to happily excited. ~Maybe this was a good idea. Thank you Noin, I owe you one.~ Zechs thought to himself. Relena had already raced down the stairs to call a couple of old friends up from school. She hadn't seen or talked to them for what almost felt like centuries.

"Hello?" An old lady responded, "Yes who is this?" "Does Alexia Yukia still live there?" "Yes, my daughter is here." "She does?? Well, in that case, may I speak to her? Tell her it's an old friend who's calling." Relena said on the phone to the other line. "Very well, hold on for a couple of minutes." "Thank you very much, ma'am." Relena waited for a few minutes before she heard her old best friend's voice on the other line. "Hello?" "Alexia? Hey! Do you remember me?" "… Oh my… GOD… RELENA???" Alexia had yelled on the line. "Wow! I didn't think I'd hear from you at all ever since you had left school! How have you been?? What have you been up to lately? Got a boyfriend yet? Where are you living now?" Relena giggled lightly then started laughing loudly as Alexia continued pounding questions through the phone line to her. "Alexia! Alexia! Please calm down! I'll answer al your questions later. I just wanted to ask you if you'd like to join me on a trip to Australia. So would you?" "Of course I will! I wouldn't miss it for the world! To see my friend again… oh my gosh… that's so cool!" Alexia said. "Great! So I live on…" Relena gave Alexia all the details of where and how to get to Relena's house so they could leave together.

After she hung up with Alexia, Relena called up another number. A gruff voice answered the phone, "Yeah? What?" Relena answered back calmly, "Excuse me sir, but I was just wondering if Akito Iwagato still lives there." "Yeah he does, what `bout it?" "Well, may I please speak with him? Tell him it's an old friend calling." "… Sure just hold up." Relena could hear heavy footsteps going up creaky steps and then a wooden door opening. She heard lots of mumbling on the phone then she heard his silky voice that she'd missed for years. "This is Akito. Who is it?" "Akito? Do you know who this is?" "…… No." She felt her drop down to her stomach that he wouldn't have remembered her or her voice. But then it just sprang back up after a couple of seconds of silence. "Actually… I think I do… is this… Relena? Relena Darlian?" Akito thought ~Dear god… please let this be Relena… I've missed her for too long.~ "Relena responded back with a chirpy "Yep! It's me! The one and only Relena!" "Relena… what took you so long to call me back? After these many years… I thought you had forgotten about me…" "Oh no, I didn't forget you at all, Akito." He was pleased to hear that she hadn't forgotten him. "So… why did you call? What's up?" "Well, I'm going on a vacation to Australia… and… I was just wondering if you'd like to come?" "Of course I'll come. Don't worry I'll be there… uh… just how are we gonna meet up?" Relena laughed. ~I've missed her laughter, too. I can't wait to see you… Relena.~ "I don't live in that same old house. I live…" She gave Akito all the details as she had done with Alexia.

Before Akito and Relena said their good-byes, he told her, "You know… I've missed you a lot. Can't wait to see you again… laters for now." Relena felt her heart skip a beat or two on the way he said that line. Relena whispered, "Yeah… see you later"… but the only reply she got was a dead dial tone on the other line. Relena sighed and shook here head to get rid of where her thoughts were taking her. She picked up the phone again and dialed another number. "Operator: Sorry this number you have dialed has been disconnected or is no longer in service. Please hang up and try again." Relena sighed sadly. ~Oh well… I guess she moved. But I don't have any other number of hers. I guess I can't invite her.~ Relena hung up the phone and went upstairs to unpack whatever Zechs had placed in her suitcase and to do it all herself. ~I never did trust my brother to pack my things for me.~
