Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Project: Poem ❯ One-Shot
Once again, the Gundam Pilots go undercover as students. And once again, Relena follows them. Everything is going along fine (well, as fine as humanly possible for five teenaged terrorists with the queen-of-the-world stalking them) until one day when their English teacher assigns them a project. The rules are to find a partner and write a poem. Of course, being Relena, she automatically/instantly chooses/strangles Heero. And Heero, being Heero, accepts the mission. After all, the Perfect-Soldier hasn’t refused a mission yet. But on the day they present, Heero decides to do a last minute editing job to the poem and add in his own share of brilliance (for the better, of course). ^_~ (Feel free to R&R... please?)

English Teacher: Now class, its I want you all to find a partner for your next project.
Class: *groans*
English Teacher: Do what I say… or else!
Class: Yes sir! I mean ma'am!
English Teacher: *sigh* Now get to work!
Relena: HEEEERROOO!!!
Gundam Pilots: *cringe*
Duo: Houston, we have connection in… *looks toward Quatre*
Quatre: *looks at watch* Three… two… one…
*Thud*
Trowa: *stares* …
Quatre: Oh my…
Wufei: Baka onna
Duo: Bwahahaha… She's ba~ack!
Heero: Not funny.
Relena: HEEEERROOO!!! You're my partner!
Heero: *face turns blue* Can't… breathe…
English Teacher: SIT!
Class: *silence* …
English Teacher: Now, for your next project I want you to write a poem.
Class: *groans again*
English Teacher: *glares* Grrr…
Class: *gulp* Um… YAY!!!
English Teacher: That's better. Now you will have today's class time to work on your project. If you don't complete the assignment then you will have to finish the work on your own time. Oh, and I expect you all to present your poems to the class next weak. *glares again* Any questions?!
Class: NO!
English Teacher: Then get to work!
Class: HAI!
Relena: So what do you want to write OUR poem on? *squeaks* I know! We can write a LOVE poem, to express our true feelings toward each other!
Heero: Hn…
Relena: Oh I'm SOOO glad that you agree!
Heero: *cringe & sweat-drops* grrr…
Relena: Yeah, we should spend every second together to work on our project and maybe our relationship also!
Heero: *glares* Omae o korosu!
Relena: I love you too Heero! But we should still be good little students and save THAT for after class…

(English Classroom: One Week Later)
English Teacher: Now it's Relena and Heero's turn, please present your poem.
Duo: *whispers to Heero* You know that you owe me BIG for this one, right?
Heero: Hn…
Duo: *sigh then whispers to Heero again* fine, I'll do it… but you still owe me. *to English Teacher* Ah teach, Heero's voice isn't working properly… so is it ok if I read his part instead?
English Teacher: Why thank you Duo, I wouldn't mind at all if you to fill in for your friend.
Duo: *nervously* Um, yeah… thanks….
Relena: Can we have a minute so I can show him what to do?
English Teacher: Sure, just go outside while we do the next group.
*Duo walks out of the room with a grumbling Relena*

(Outside the English Classroom)
Relena: *hands Duo a pink sheet of paper with pink writing on it* Here, these are the lines. Just read every other line starting from the second one.
Duo: *makes face at paper* No thanks, Heero already gave me his copy.
Relena: I'm warning you, you better not mess up the lines!
Duo: *shrugs* All right, fine… I'll read whatever's on this paper. *points at Heero's copy*
Relena: Fine!
*Duo walks back into the room with a grumbling Relena*

(Outside the English Classroom)
Relena: Ahem… Heero and I wrote this poem about our relation ship but since he can't talk today, Duo is filling in for him.

(POEM)
Relena: *starts* You surround me with your endless love,
Duo: *snickers* Unfortunately, your grip too tight for me to shove.
Relena: *looks surprised but keeps going* Thinking of you keeps me up all night,
Duo: *starts to smile* My hands go clammy and my face turns white.
Relena: *starts to get a little worried, face turn pink* You know that we should belong together,
Duo: *smiles wider* Like cats and dogs in dark stormy weather.
Relena: *face turns red* I'm lady but your no duke,
Duo: *smiles widely* So get away before I puke.
Duo: *continues reading normally* I guess that what I'm trying to say is…
Relena: *calms down a little, face still a bit pink* Roses are red,
Duo: *still reading in normal voice* Violets AREN'T blue,
Relena: *clasps hands together in front of chest & speaks dramatically* Oh! I LOVED the chocolates,
Duo: *mimics Relena's actions* But I sure HATE you!

(After class)
Duo: *still laughing at the look that was on Relena's face* That was great! If I had known that you were giong to do something like that, I would've helped you a LONG time ago. You should have just asked me straight up instead of using death threats and your glare, it would've save you SO much time and trouble…
Heero: Hn… Baka… I did. *walks away*
Duo: *calls after Heero* You still owe me you know! And what do you mean, "[you] did?"
Heero: *ignores Duo & keeps walking*
Duo: Hey, Heero! Are you listening to me? *runs after Heero* Wait for me!
