I've never began a story on a prologue, so this is a first. Now, I really hope that you enjoy this.
This story features most classical non-yaoi pairings. Don't like them, don't read them. RPxHY, HSxDM, MUxTB... and original characters, Karen Martinez and Alexander Cartie.
Hope you really enjoy this.

Racing Hearts
Prologue
I'd been in the racing community, all of the racing communities for so long that I never had expected this to happen. Just when you think things are going fine, rose colored, the unthinkable happens. Well, here it did.
Me being a friend of both of them didn't help matters much. Well, insecurities can do a lot to someone and that includes breaking up the greatest partnership that I had ever seen.
"Why the hell did you let me win?" Heero shouted as he took his helmet off. His eyes glinted with the fury that was bottling up, fighting to brim the bottle and escape a prison.
"I did not let you win," Alex shouted back, his expression the same. Everything had happened so fast. It seemed that their shouting match had just began.
"I don't know how much more of this I can take," Relena muttered beneath her breath. She was one of the most acclaimed female racers of the motocross industry.
I simply sighed. It wasn't as if it was going to end this easy. "Don't worry. You'll just see that in five minutes this will all blow over and Alex will be swearing off Heero and this will all be over."
As if on cue, Alex threw his helmet down to the dirt and cursed off the day he had presented the idea of an union with Heero. "This is over."
Heero simply narrowed his eyes and turned his back. Both figures retreated in opposite directions, with no glances to both women who seemed to be invisible.
"How are you and Heero?" I asked hopping for a good answer. The two were perfect for each other. They just didn't know how good they were for one another.
"Worst," the word seemed to be the death sentence of that. Just like this, Heero's life was going to crumble beneath his feet. Not that it wasn't his fault, it was. Don't get me wrong. It was his fault. He was too obsessed with perfection and winning that he ruled no room for errors.
It's like it was his fault he was that way. But it was not. He had been an orphan, who was adopted by the most psychos you could have ever found to be on the underground races. He called himself J, Dr. J to those who wanted his immediate attention. No one knew his real name, he had just appeared and disappeared from the racing community like a phantom that had never existed.
But he had been real. And Heero was the proof of it.
To make a story short. The psycho had created an offspring and the only one that had ever made him act human was Relena. Relena Peacecraft, the angel of racing.
She had the double personality as Heero in his life. One form while a person, another while racing. And now, the only light of Heero's life was going out. This was his own fault.
"I'm sorry Rel," I cringed at the thought. "I know how much he means to you."
She shrugged the statement off. Her shoulders lumped and non-present lines lined by her eyes. "It'll be all over after the last race."
Well, it was finally here. Many racers had been participating for the Capri Mount Champion for a whole month and the last race was just the next day. The time had gone so fast, but it seemed that everything was going to end finally.
"Rel," I turned towards her. She stopped rolling her bike and looked at me. We had never been close friends, just wrapped in with the circumstances. "I won't see you again tomorrow."
"So, you're not going to accompany Alex?"
"No," I had declined. "This is his time and he is too bossy. I'm leaving back to Spain. I'm going to visit my foster parents and tell them the news."
"You'll be leaving this racing game, won't you."
"Yeah," I smiled. "But it doesn't matter."
"It was great to meet you Karen," Relena extended her gloves hand. I shook it happily. At least I had gained a friend after all of this. "I'll se you again someday."
"I know," I gave a parting smile. "I hope Heero wins."
"Me too," Relena cranked up her bike and left with a cloud of dirt raining down on the track.
"I'll see you in two years Relena," I whispered to myself. Well, that was when all of us will meet again.
Well, as planned by Relena, who was the only worthy adversary on the race that Heero needed to win, Heero won. And it wasn't because she had lost on purpose, he was just better racing than her. Plus, he was always driven to employ all, Relena really didn't.
Unknown to all. I was there. I had changed the plane ticket for a later flight. If I was leaving this life of racing, then I would at least part after the race was over. Alex won on his division and Heero won in his. The team won the Capri money, the acknowledgement, trophy, what ever you want to call it. Two trophies were made for the members.
The one thing that made the day miserable to me was what happened after Heero had won. Before the TV crews could get to him, Relena had placed her bike right by his with a smile on her face. She congratulated him, hugging him fiercely. She was saying good-bye, her own way.
She placed a kiss on his cheek, murmured something in his ear, placed her helmet back on; her eyes glittering with tears, and she was gone.
Heero had just stood there unbelieving of what had happened. But he concealed it all. His face was just like it always was, rigid and careful. No one could have guessed what had happened between them. Everyone but me.
Well, two years would occur so fast that no one would believe it. It was time to leave. I shook myself with the victory of my 'team' but knowing that something had been lost.
Racing hearts are always put on the line in here. You either accept it or drown by it. I had accepted it, Relena had accepted it... Heero would be drowning.
It was time to call on Duo. Maybe this would change everything in Heero. He would have the time to reflect if he wanted to.
Well, there were two years to go.
I wonder...

This was strictly my POV. The prologue is done. This takes place two years earlier than what I'm writing, that's why it is the prologue. And just to show, no it's not an insert. I don't do any Mary Sue's.
Next chapter will be out soon.
