Author's notes: This takes place about two years after 'Let's Make Love'. So if the characters seem a bit ooc, just remember a lot of things can change a person in that time frame.

Standard disclaimers apply. I don't own Gundam Wing, or 'From this Moment On'. That is owned by Shania Twain and Bryan White, and their record companies. The song itself can be found on Shania's Come On Over cd.

~ I do swear
That I'll always be there ~

Relena stood in front of the mirror inspecting the beautiful image reflecting back at her. The neckline came up her neck with a thick white silk circlet of fabric, connecting to the sheer lacey material, which hinted at the curves beneath, until the lace met up again with soft white silk in a sweetheart style. Her sleeves came to her elbows and flared out, leaving her lower arms bare. The body of the dress was tight at the bodice, and giving just enough room at her legs so that she could walk, with a long flowing train trailing out behind the dress. The entire silk material was covered in lace and beaded with small pearls.

Her hair was swept in an upsweep style with golden ringlets framing her face. She had opted to go without any type of veil, afraid that it would take away from the dress. In fact, her only piece of jewelry or accessory was her diamond engagement ring.

She had also opted not to go with a lot of make-up, instead keeping it the same as she usually had it, just enough to highlight her already natural beauty.

A pleased smile lit across her lips, making her look positively glowing. She was sure that she was going to throw Trowa for a loop. A giggle escaped her lips at the thought.

~ I'd give anything
And everything ~

Her voice was soft when she called a come in, hearing the person on the other side before they had a chance to knock. Through the mirror she saw her brother enter. He looked immaculate in his Tux. His long blonde hair swaying as he slowly moved in the room. Tears filled his ice-blue eyes when she turned and smiled brightly at him. "I'm glad you asked me to be the one to give you away," he said, his voice husky with unhidden joy.

Her smile only widened, her eyes twinkling. "I'm glad that you accepted, Milli," she said softly.

She held out her hands for him urging him to come closer. He took both in both of his as he studied her. "You look so beautiful, Rele,' he finally said, kicking himself for not coming up with something more complimentary.

"Thank you," she whispered as she gave him a much needed hug. "You aren't loosing me again, Milli," she said, correctly guessing what was going through his mind. "I will never stop loving you."

A knock sounded at the door interrupted the tender moment between siblings. Milliardo called a gruff come in, not totally releasing Relena from his hold on her.

The door opened revealing Hilde, Dorothy, Catherine, and Lucrezia. They all wore peach dresses signifying that they were in the bridal procession. Their dresses were cap sleeved and the neckline was cut straight across the front in the style of the '50s of the old calendar. Each dress was snug against the bodice and flared out at the waist covering matching shoes. Hilde's differed from the rest in the fact that instead of having capped sleeves, hers matched Relena's, showing that she was the Maid of Honor.

"It's time for the traditional wedding stuff," Hilde announced as soon as the door was closed. "The something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue!" A wicked grin spread across her face. "And I've got the something blue." She held up a baby blue garter belt.

The girls laughed when Milliardo paled and tried to make a quick escape. But Relena grabbed onto him, a hint of mischievousness in her eyes. "I need someone to help me balance," she said with mock innocence.

Hilde knelt down, pushing Relena's dress up, revealing her ivory shoes and lots of long leg covered with white stockings held up by garter belts. Dorothy held up the dress while the dark-haired girl slid the garter up to her mid-thigh. Each laughing from the mortified look on Milliardo's face at how slow Hilde was going.

"I should NOT be seeing this," the blonde man groaned as Dorothy smoothed Relena's dress back down, sending the girls into anther laughing fit.

"I have the something borrowed," Dorothy said when the laughing died down. She took a small velvet box out of her handbag and opened it up to reveal a pair of pearl teardrop earrings.

Relena gasped at their beauty, her fingers running over their smoothness for a moment. With tears in her eyes she let Dorothy place them in her ears.

"They were my great-great-grandmother's. She wore them on her wedding day and have been passed down from generation to generation to be worn on our wedding day."

The tears threatened to fall at Dorothy's gesture. She fanned her face in an effort to stop, softly whispering, "Thank you."

Dorothy gave her a genuine smile.

"I'm next!" Catherine said when Relena got a hold of herself. "I have the something new." She pulled a gold locket. She placed it in Relena's hands and opened it up. On one side there was a picture of Relena and Trowa kissing the day they got together. And on the other side there was a picture of Trowa in his clown costume without a shirt on, showing off his well-muscled chest.

Relena gasped. Trowa was smiling! "How did you get this?" She looked up at Catherine with wide blue eyes.

"A lot of patience," Catherine assured her. She slid the locket closed and walked behind Relena and slipped it around her neck, closing the clasp and put the gold chain under the material of the dress. "Now you can carry Trowa next to your heart forever, even when you are apart."

Relena wrapped her arms around the circus performer, whispering several thank yous.

Catherine gave a teary laugh, wiped at her eyes and said, "I should be thanking you for loving my brother. I've never seen him so happy!"

"He makes me happy too," Relena said, a lovely smile lighting up her beautiful face.

~ And I will always care ~

Lucrezia exchanged a look with Milliardo before picking up the unnoticed box by the door and cleared her throat getting Relena's attention. "I believe that I have the something old."

She set the box down on the dresser, having everyone's attention, no one but Milliardo knew what was in the there and they were all dying to know what had taken three months for the couple to find.

"It belonged to your mother actually," the former Oz officer said as she lifted the lid, pulling a glittering diamond tiara clearly made for a queen. (Think the tiara from Anastasia)

Several gasps went around the room as Lucrezia placed the heirloom in Milliardo's awaiting hands.

Relena could feel her heart pounding as her brother gently placed and secured it to her head just behind her bangs. She turned to look in the mirror, awed by how the tiara glittered and moved with her. The others were awed by how natural it looked upon her.

When she finally turned to face her brother, both had several tears clinging to their cheeks. Milliardo pulled her to him and gave her a crushing hug. He whispered in her ear, "You look just like our mother."

Sally popped her head in the room, smiling at the tender moment before her. "It's time," she softly announced.

Relena took a deep breath, trying to calm her sudden nerves. It was time for her to finally become Trowa's wife. It was time to make her future with the man that she adored more than life itself.

~ Through weakness and strength
Happiness and Sorrow ~

Trowa watched Duo struggle with his bow tie in amusement. Unlike the frustrated God of Death, Catherine had come in earlier and fixed her brother's for him, offering him a few sisterly words of encouragement and of course her usual wish to see him smile when she walked up the aisle before his bride-to-be.

He had also noted that she stopped on her way out and fixed Heero's tie. He had a feeling that his sister had feelings for his stoic friend, but alas he knew that Heero still loved Relena. But he hoped that one day, Heero may move on and see the feelings that his sister carried for him. And he also hoped that the love that he found would be just as strong as the love that kept Heero as his bride's bodyguard.

Prussian blue eyes looked up and met emerald ones. Heero offered him a small smile, his own way of telling the other man that he was okay with this marriage. And again Trowa was satisfied with his decision of choosing Heero to be his best man.

Quatre's quiet laughter broke through the silent conversation he was having with Heero. The smaller pilot had made his way over to the fussing Duo and fixed the unmanageable tie and now the God of Death was staring at him wide-eyed. Quatre gave him a small smile. "I've known how to do that since I was a young boy," he explained.

Wufei walked into the room, rolling his eyes at Duo's mouth still hanging open. "Sally just informed me that Relena is ready and it is time to start the service."

~ For better, for worse
I will love you ~

Trowa felt as if his heart had slammed through his chest and he suddenly found it very hard to breath. All through out the morning, he had been calm and collected. He was sure that he would be able to do all of this without getting scared. But suddenly the weight of what he was about to do hit him.

What if he wasn't good husband material? What if he couldn't make Relena happy? What if another war broke out and he was forced to fight again?

Wufei and Heero exchanged a glance when they saw Trowa go completely still, his eyes bulging out slightly and his breathing become erratic.

"Calm down," Heero commanded quietly, gaining the attention of Duo and Quatre.

"Breath," Wufei recommended. Out of all the guys, he was the only one who slightly understood what Trowa was going through. Even though his marriage had been arranged, he still had the jitters beforehand. "Think of Relena," he recommended.

"Picture her beautiful face in you mind," Quatre added, moving to stand next to Trowa.

"Hear her in you mind when she told you that she would marry you," Duo recommended.

~ With every beat if my heart ~

Trowa took a deep breath and closed his eyes, recalling his memory of Relena when he proposed.

They were having dinner. When she looked away, he slipped the ring into her champagne glass. When she went to take a drink, she saw it and gasped.

He slid down on one knee and asked her to become his bride. She had thrown her arms around him and told him that she would like nothing better than to be his wife. He pulled the ring out of the glass and put on her finger. Then looked up and saw her smiling down at him, love shining in her beautiful sky-blue eyes.

It was with that picture in his mind that he regained his control and opened his eyes. He nodded at the guys, who were very relieved that they wouldn't have to drag the other man up the aisle. They proceeded out of the room, him with one thought in his mind. Relena was about to become his wife. This was the moment he had waited for since he fell in love with her.

~ From this moment
Life has begun ~

Relena and Trowa agreed that there would only be a small gathering of people at their wedding. If you could call 150 people small. Only 20 of those were people with cameras, most news cameras since the wedding was going to be broadcast live across the world. The whole world wanted to see their former Queen wed the man of her dreams in a fairytale-like wedding.

Relena smiled at Mariemaia letting her take a picture of her emerging from the room she was using. The young girl was also one of the photographers that were hired to take pictures for the wedding. For such a young girl, she had proven to have quite a knack with the camera. And Relena was more than happy to indulge her hobby.

~ From this moment
You are the one ~

Trowa looked out at the gathering before him, amazed by the sea of people. Some he recognized from his days as a soldier, some were from the circus, a lot were the delegates that Relena worked with. He saw Sylvia Noventa wave at him from her seat next to Lady Une and he couldn't help but nod back. He shook his head, amazed that some of the women were already crying. He could just imagine the waterworks that would happen during the ceremony.

He heard Heero chuckle behind him, when he turned his head the other pilot nodded towards the stairway where Relena was to come down.

Looking up, Trowa saw his sister motioning for him to smile. He couldn't help the grin that moved across his face at her antics.

~ Right beside you
Is where I belong
From this moment on ~

The music started up and Trowa grinned when he saw Mariemaia run down the stairs to get a spot at the bottom so she could get more pictures as the girls came down, taking a quick snapshot of him as she went.

The first down was Lucrezia. Her eyes twinkling as she winked at him. She grinned as the cameras went off and proceeded to walk down the aisle to take her place opposite Wufei.

The next down was Dorothy. Trowa had to admit that she had changed a lot since the war. She was a lot calmer, but every once in awhile he saw that old light flare up in her eyes whenever she was challenged. She grinned devilishly at the cameras before making her own way down the aisle, standing next to Lucrezia and opposite Duo.

Then his sister made her way down the stairs, at the bottom she made another motion to get Trowa to smile, the action picked up by the cameras. She winked at one and moved to stand next to Dorothy, opposite Quatre.

Hilde walked graciously down the stairs; she winked at the cameras, her pixieness showing through as she moved down the aisle. She sent another wink at Trowa and blew a kiss to Duo as she stood next to Catherine, opposite Heero.

~ From this moment
I have been blessed ~

As soon as Hilde took her place, Trowa felt his eyes automatically move back to the top of the staircase, unconsciously holding his breathe, awaiting the appearance of his bride.

The music shifted to that of the wedding march and everyone in the church stood.

Then she appeared, like an angel at the top of red-carpeted stairs. Trowa let out his breath with a whoosh just to suck it back in again when she smiled at him. Her sky blue eyes sparkled bright enough that he could see it from the distance separating them. He had never seen her look more beautiful. The dress, the hair, and the crown all paled in comparison to her smile though. Her smile lit up every dark spot in his life and he had never been happier in his entire life.

~ I live only for your happiness ~

Relena paused at the top of the stairs, clutching her brother's arm. He gave her an encouraging smile before he nodded down towards Trowa.

When her eyes met his, she gave him a teary smile. He was gorgeous in his black and white tux. She could see the joy emanating from his face, even though his hair made it so that she could only see half of it. She could feel his anticipation as well. She wanted nothing better than to run across the red carpet and throw herself in his arms.

Her heart skipped a beat when he mouthed the words 'I love you', and gave her the biggest smile she had ever seen him adorn, even in the picture that she had in her locket.

~ And for your love
I'd give my last breath
From this moment on ~

Relena slowly took each step, clutching her bouquet of white roses, leaning on her brother a little so that he would make sure she didn't trip and fall the entire way down. She would never admit to anyone the nightmare that she had the night before about doing just that.

But Milliardo sensed her nervousness and carefully guided her down each stair, a proud smile on his face when he saw the awe-stricken faces of everyone around. His sister was truly one of the most beautiful women to grace the Earth, but he wasn't at all biased.

~ I give my hand to you with all my heart ~

At the end of the aisle, Trowa stepped forward and offered his hand.

Milliardo gave him a long measured look before he placed Relena's hand in the former pilot's. He paused for a moment, holding their hands together with his own. His stared at their hands for a second before looking up at Trowa, a definite challenge in his ice blue eyes. "Take care of her, or I will have to hunt you down and hurt you."

Trowa gave him an equally challenging look. "If I don't, I want you to hunt me down and kill me."

Milliardo nodded his head. "Understood." Then he stepped back and let Trowa led his baby sister up to the alter.

~ Can't wait to live my life with you can't wait to start ~

Trowa squeezed the hand that was in his as they stepped up the alter and was rewarded with a trembling smile from his beloved. He would like nothing more than to have the priest skip the formalities and just announce them husband and wife.

He wanted to start his life with this amazing woman and he was a bit impatient to do it. It had after all taken two years after he put the engagement ring on her finger to get to this point. But he knew that he could be patient. His days as a soldier taught him that.

~ You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you ~

As the priest droned on with the wedding vows, both Relena and Trowa dreamed of the life that they were about to embark upon. Both agreed that they would not let their jobs keep them apart any longer.

After the day that both of them had abandoned everything and chased after each other, they realized that there was no way that they could get the things done that needed to be done if they were forced to stay apart.

And so, Relena had taken to traveling with Trowa with the circus, holding meetings as she went along. Most of the time, whenever the meeting wasn't going well, she would take the fighting delegates and show them the acts of the circus. Reminding them about the children, and the reason why they should continue to work towards peace.

And every two months or so, Trowa would take a month off from the circus and he and Relena would return to her home and just be with each other. The constant change in their life worked well with their romance, although was part of the reason they had not set the date for so long.

But now their dream of finally being husband and wife was finally coming true.

~ From this moment
As long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this ~

When the priest asked for the rings, Trowa turned to look at Heero as Relena handed Hilde her bouquet. Heero stepped forward and handed them to the priest, pausing long enough to wink at Relena, sending a blush up her cheeks.

Trowa took the ring offered by the priest and Relena turned to look up at him. Her eyes were bright with unshed tears of joy. He kissed her palm before sliding the ring upon her finger, his emerald eyes holding hers.

"With this ring, I thee wed," he whispered, his voice too clogged with emotion to say it any louder.

~ There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on
Oooh ~

Relena felt a few tears fall down her cheeks at the look in his eyes. But before she could do anything, he gently wiped them away, only to cause her to have another fall and replace it.

She turned and took the ring from the minister with trembling hands and gently slid it on his finger, looking up into his eyes when it was in place. She could clearly see how happy the tiny band of gold made him happy.

"With this ring, I thee wed," she whispered, only a little louder than his.

~ You're the reason I believe in love ~

"You may kiss the bride," the priest said.

And with great flourish, Trowa dipped Relena back and gave her a passionate kiss, amidst all the hoots and hollers, mostly from Duo, Hilde and Catherine.

When they came up for air, Trowa continued to hold her close to him, smiling down at her and she smiling back up at him.

~ And you're the answer to my prayers from up above ~

The priest took their intertwined hands and held them up. "May I present Mr. and Mrs. Trowa Barton for all to see."

Trowa and Relena watched in amazement as everyone stood up and began to clap, the entire building in an uproar, rejoicing their union.

They looked at each other and kissed again, only causing the noise to get louder.

~ All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you ~

As they started back down the aisle and outside the doors, the four gundam pilots stopped and took places on opposite side of the entrance, Heero and Wufei on the right and Duo and Quatre on the left. Several more uniformed officers from Preventers also took up ranks beside them.

Relena looked up at Trowa in confusion but he just winked at her.

As they neared the guys, every man pulled swords out in unison and clanged them together over the aisle in the old military style wedding. Relena giggled as Trowa led her under the swords.

Milliardo's voice rang out loud and clear for the cameras that were outside the church to hear. "For the first time in public, may I present Mr. and Mrs. Trowa Barton."

Relena squealed when she passed by Heero and he slapped her on the butt with his sword, winking at her.

The reception after was enjoyed by them all. The wedding cake had been smashed into each other's face, just to be gently cleaned off again, with whispered words of revenge later.

Relena was swept on the dance floor by all of the men in her life; the most dances were spent with Trowa, Milliardo and Heero though. She had promised Heero that she would get even with the slap on her rear when she got back from her honeymoon. Heero just laughed and said he was looking forward to it.

Trowa spent less time on the dance floor, but was dragged out by each of the girls once and his sister twice. And of course anytime that Relena looked at him with her sky blue eyes with that pleading look he found himself on the dance floor with her in his arms.

As they were leaving, Relena shared a tearful goodbye with her brother, for he was still having a hard time letting his sister grow up.

~ I will love you ~

As they settled in the back of the limo, Relena leaned against her husband's chest, just trying to get over the fact that he was now hers and hers alone.

"I love you, Trowa Barton," she said quietly, looking up into his emerald eyes.

~ I will love you ~

"I love you too, Relena Barton," Trowa said, a grin tugging at his lips as he said the last name.

She was his and his alone. Well, he hoped to start a family some day but for now...

~ As long as I live ~

Relena grinned when she saw his eyes darken. "I was wondering when you would get around to getting me out of this dress."

Trowa didn't respond, he just unhooked the dress and began pulling it down, laughing when he saw the glitter that his sister, Hilde, Sally, Dorothy and Noin sprinkled all over her after they threw the bouquet and garter, which were caught by Hilde and Duo. Actually he thought there was going to be quite a catfight over the bouquet.

Relena leaned her head back, loosing herself in his touch. "From this moment on, it is just us," she whispered.

Trowa made an agreeing noise in his throat, his eyes holding hers. "Just you and me."
