~Part 4~
"The Dragon, the Viper and the History Behind Them"
Hiro Yui glanced around the room. They were all seated at Relina's house, comfortably waiting for her arrival. It wasn't as though they had many missions after the war, but they occasionally had meetings to check up on everyone's status. Hiro's eyes darted over the group of ecentric people siting at the table.
First, there was Duo, who looked happy as ever, and was deeply emersed in a romance novel, apparently a good one judging by his constantly forgetting to swallow. Hiro smiled secretly. Same old Duo.
Next, there was the couple of Quatre Winner and Trowa Barton. The two boys sat talking softly, and occasionally sneaking kisses when they thought nobody was looking. Apparently they were finally more than just friends....for now at least.
Chang Wufei sat in his usual spot around the table, looking considerably agitated. Hiro didn't know what was wrong, but it had to have been bad if he brought Sally to thier meetings. (Sally was seated next to Wufei.)
Hiro countiued to let his eyes wonder, first over the table's intricate wooden pattern, then over the walls and the lovley decorations of Relina's mansion. This place didn't suit him, it wasn't really his style to be surrounded by so much wealth. This was more Quatre's kind of thing, but he had to be here, there was something about this meeting that told Hiro it would be more than the usual mission report and line up of Maxwell jokes.
A clack of high heels announced Relina's appearance on the scene, dressed in her usual pink skit ans white blouse. Her regal bearing was evident, but her face still seemed slightly contorted with worry. She took her place beside Hiro at the table.
"Let's begin, then."

Julie Yu sat alone in silence, meditating in her hotel room. Her thoughts drifted over her assignment, going throught the many ways to accomplish her mission...let's see, she could slice him in half, break every bone in his body with crushing blows, or hell, she could just toss him off a cliff...god there were some many ways to kill Chang Wufei, each one ending in the obvious result of his death...
Julie got up off her bed, and looked at herself in the mirror. She knew she had great body, it was particularly evident now with her current outift, a tight blue tank top and green chino shorts. She knew she had a perfect figure, in fact, she had perfect muscle tone to match it....so what was her problem with being an assasin these days? Maybe it wasn't her...no....
"It's my current target, isn't it." Julie said to her reflection, wishing that she didn't need to give herself the answer.
"Why am I doing this?" Julie asked, laying back on the bed, her black hair spilling all around her. Did she really want to destroy him? Why was thi so hard....
"Dammit, Julie you've killed before....why is Wufei any different?"
Julie couldn't force herself to answer that question aloud. It hurt badly enough to admit to herself that some part of her wanted Wufei to care about her, wanted him to want to befriend her....maybe even love her....
Damn, stop thinking like that....Julie forced herself to get up. Changing quickly into her tight blue assasin's dress, Julie raised her hands to her hair and proceeded to fasten it into to shiny black buns. Having finished with this task, Julie reached down and scooped up her weapons...a pair of elongated katanas, each one gleaming under the light. Julie couldn't help but grin. These were her favorite weapons, the one on thr right, the fang and the one on the left, the scale. With them, she was undefeatable, she was the Viper.
Placing both weapons back into thier sheaths, Julie proceeded to exit the hotel, mind on her target. Hopefully her tracking device would alert her to his werabouts.

"So, she's trying to kill you, big deal, Wufei, I still say we can take 'er." Duo Maxwell said calmly, crcking his signature smile. Wufei looked at him, exasperated by Duo's lack of understanding the severity of the situation.
"Duo, she's trying to kill me, she's the most dangerous Chinese assasin that ever lived! She's 'Viper' for god's sake, she's killed over a thousand people in one fight before!"
E verybody stared at Wufei, surprised by his edgy nature.
Wufei sighed, realising that an explanation was needed. "She carried a detenation device into the building, killed twenty people, four ambasadors, and then blew the place up while she was still inside. Nobody knows how she got away unscathed, but two days later, she showed up at a meeting of world leaders and slit his throat then just calmly walked out. They never cuaght her."
Relina slammed her fist down on the table. "So why hasn't this woman been warned against! Why have we never heardof her before?"
Wufei sighed, lowering his head into his hand. "Relina, Julie is the best there is. She's probably killed anyobdy that had any information on her."
Hiro looked at Wufei with his usual expressionless glare. "Is that why she wants to destroy you?"
Sally answered the question. "She said something about revenge, didn't she, Wufei?"
Wufei nodded, looking up at the group. "Yeah, I don't blame her if she wants me dead."
Quatre looked shocked. "What could you have possibly done to her!?"
Wufei sighed, avoiding the gaze of everyone at the table, everyone seemed to be waiting for an answer.
"I knew Julie a long time ago, when we were kids. I grew up with her, she was like a bes friend. She never did forgive me for marrying Meiran, though, even if it was an arranged union."
Wufei seemed very upset by this, though his voice showed no trace of anger. Rather, he seemed sad, almost remorseful.
"Julie was the best damn martial artist I ever met....and a loyal friend...but then I made the mistake of betraying her for my own reasons and she never forgave me."
Wufei lowered his head so that he looked as though he would cry. Sally put a hand on his shoulder which he rejected. She looked a little taken aback but Wufei looked up at her, offering an explanation.
"I don't deserve sympathy for what I did to her. I abandoned her and left her on the colony to die, but she escaped. I guess I deserve whatever she has to throw at me."
Everbody looked from one to another in the unfortable silence. Slowley, all eyes rested on Hiro.
Hiro kept his expression blank. "Sounds like she's pretty dangerous. You say she took you out pretty easily....yes...she's going to be hard to take down..."
Wufei nodded. "I know."
Everybody was momentarily distracted by Trowa suddenly opening the window. Relina stood up.
"What is it, Trowa?"
Trowa's hazel eyes narrowed suspiciously as he looked around at the gorgeous gardens outside. Everybody else remained silent, aware of Trowa's sixth sense for emergencies.
"I thought I heard something. I guess I was wrong." Trowa said simply sitting down beside Quatre again. Relina closed the window saying somethign about hwo it was probably just a bird.
Meanwhile, twenty feet below, hanging upside down from one of the railings of the house, Julie Yu hung triumphantly, smiling to herself.
"Weak fools." she muttered, as she lept gracefully to the ground and out of sight.
