Author Notes:This vignette is in Scrip format because it is a script. It's a script for a cosplay competition my friends and me have entered. Their names shall remain undisclosed. This script is short as we had a certain time limit, but it has a certain way to touch a person soul. When we were in the judgment phase, whether we get to perform or not, we made one of the female judges sniffle by the end. The skit happens at the very end of the Endless Waltz, my friends and me didn't like the ending, so we decided to change it, and that little fic turned into this script.

Endless Waltz: Alternate Ending

Scene 1:

Settings: Endless Waltz, Just after Dekim was shot for shooting Mariemaya

[Relena and Lady Une are kneeling by the bloody figure of Mariemaya]

[Enter Heero]

Heero: [Weak voice] I will kill Mariemaya

Relena: [Looks up in mild shock] Heero… [Interrupted by Mariemaya's weak voice]

Mariemaya: [small gasp of pain] Thank you Heero [Passes out]

Heero: [Click of an empty gun] It's… over; I don't have to kill anymore… [Begins to teeter and collapse]

Relena: HEERO! [Rushes to catch him, does so and embraces him] It's over Heero… it's finally over. [Strokes his ruffled hair a bit]

Lady Une: Someone call an ambulance!

[Some unknowns rush off stage]

[Fade out]

Scene 2:

Settings:at the hospital, Heero is laying on his ward bed, thinking. [Soliloquy]

Heero:[Wakes up]Huh… where am I… hospital, no mistaking the scent… what happened… oh no… Relena! [Attempts to sit up but winced at the pain shooting trough his side, grabs that side] [Turns to look out the window after lying down] No use… she is alright, she will come, she always does… why does she always have to try and help me, can't she understand I'm not worthy of her help… can't she understand that I am not worthy of anyone's help for all the things I did. [Trails off into his own world to be jarred away by a flamboyant, yet-familiar voice]

[Enter Duo]

Duo: [Closes the door behind himself] Hey Buddyboy… you did it, you stopped a war, again!

Heero: [Glances at him but remains quiet] …

Duo: What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? [Grins, however grin vanishes when Heero once again gives no response] Oh I see… it's about her - [Rest is cut off by Heero]

Heero: Her? [Stares at Duo like he spouted a second head]

Duo: [Plops down in the chair near Heero's bed and crosses his legs and arms in a stubborn fashion] Sheesh… for a perfect soldier you're as dense as a limestone quarry! I know for a fact you were thinking about her, its practically written all over your - [Cut off once again]

Heero: Maxwell… I was not thinking about her [The fact he's lying is clear]

Duo: Admit it, you were… I know you were, I also know you love her… [Waves his hand a bit to emphasize the word 'love'] and I really pity Ojusan for falling in love with a guy like you - [Cut off once again!]

Heero:Shut up Maxwell, she can't possibly love me. [Sits up ignoring the sharp pain in his side, death glaring the braided pilot]

Duo: you're dense ~and~ blind… [Turns to him, that weird glint in his eye] You are blind if you can't see that she loves you! You are a fool for letting a prize like that slip trough your fingers, hell… I'd pursue her myself if she wasn't so blindly in love with you… [Trails off]

Heero: Maxwell… you don't see I can't be with her, [Sigh wistfully]

[Enter Trowa]

Trowa: Why can't you be with her? [Has obviously heard the entire conversation]

Duo: That's what I'd like to know…

Heero: [Remains quiet for a few seconds] … I just can't…

Trowa: [Gets that thoughtful look about him] Two years ago, you told me the best way to live by is to follow your emotions; [His voice turns regretful] obviously you didn't include yourself in that equation.

Heero: [Remains quiet] … [Aside] they will never understand… [Aloud] I don't deserve her, she is too pure… my hands are too stained with blood, people will come after me, seeking revenge for what I did, and I don't want her to get hurt because of me.

[Enter Quatre]

Quatre: [Who heard his last line] The war is over Heero; the people have forgiven you; now you should forgive yourself…. You did what you deemed was right; no one blames you for that. Go to her, she needs you; I know she needs you. Heero, you are her only reason for living, her only reason why to fight so strongly for her beliefs, she doesn't want us to fight… she doesn't want ~you~ to fight. Heero I know she loves you, she loves you more then anything in this ever-changing world.

Duo: [Sniffle] Wow Quatre… That's deep

Quatre: Duo, be quiet…

Heero: [Gives his infamous grunt] you are all wrong.

[Enter Wufei]

Wufei: It is you who are wrong Yuy. [Pauses] While it is true you may not deserve her hand, but it is not because your hands are too stained with blood, it is because of the pain you are casing her by running away like a weakling fool. For once in your life take what life gives you and stop running away before you lose her to someone else.

Duo: Wu-man is right!

Wufei: Shut up Maxwell

Duo: [Pouts but remains quiet] …

Quatre: Guys don't fight. And Wufei is right Heero.

[Enter Lady Une]

Lady Une: There is something I wish to discuss with you four, come.

[The pilots exchange looks and nod at Lady Une]

Duo: Think about what we said Heero, think well buddyboy, before it is too late…

[Exit Lady Une, Duo, Trowa, Quatre, Wufei]

Heero:[Sighs Wistfully again] could they be right, Could Relena not care about my past. Could she really love me as they say? No, she doesn't and she never will… I must leave before she arrives, if she does… I will never be able to keep this secret hidden. [Moves to get up from the bed, strides over to the windowlooking down to the ground below]

[Enter Relena]

Relena: [Rushes over and takes hold of Heero's upper arm] Heero! You are not thinking of leaving, you are hurt! Lie down Heero, before you hurt yourself more.

Heero: Relena… [Glances at her, suddenly realizing what a fool he is, and that the guys were right]

Relena: Heero… [He comes closer, leaning in] what? Heero?

Heero: [smiles just a bit] The guys were around here… they made me realize what a fool I am.

Relena: Heero? I don't understand, you aren't a fool… you never were, you one of the smartest people I know.

Heero: I was a fool for not realizing sooner… not seeing what was before me, if it wasn't for me leaving in the first place, you wouldn't have been abducted. I was a big fool… forgive me Relena, I beg of you, forgive me.

Relena: [Tears in her eyes] Oh Heero… how can I be mad at the man I love [Realizes what she said and looks down as if to hide a blush]

Heero: [Shocked] Relena… you… love me? [Puts a finger under her chin and raises her face so he can look into her eyes] Relena… Aishiteru [Kisses her]

[After they separate]

Relena: [Desperate tone] Stay with me Heero… please; I will die if you leave again, if you leave after this. [Still has tears in her eyes, but now they are tears of happiness]

Heero: I will stay with you Relena, now… and forever [They kiss once again]

Author Notes:This is the skit my friends and me are going to perform, it took me some time to write it down, and I'm darn proud of it! If you are reading this, REVIEW damn it!
