Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Secret Society ❯ New Surprises ( Chapter 6 )

Part 7- New Surprises
Looking out the window of the shuttle, Relena seemed like a million miles away. She had just finished the trade agreements with Colony B3 and was quite exhausted. Dorothy looks at her friend with pity.
"Are you all right, Miss Relena?" asks Dorothy.
"Huh? Yes, I'm fine. Just a bit tired," she replies.
"You were probably thinking about Heero. Right?"
"Yes, but also our other friends. It's been six months since their disappearances and we can't find anything on their whereabouts."
"I know. When we found that address, we thought we had something. But, since then, we've been going in circles, coming back to where we started. Whoever the enemy is has made it almost completely impossible to find any answers."
"I can't help but feel something bad is going to happen to one of them, especially Heero, and everytime I think that they could be hurting him, I feel like something inside of me is breaking. Do you ever have that feeling about someone?"
Dorothy stalls for a moment then says, "Yes, there is someone..." A ring interrupts their conversation. Dorothy gladly answers to find Sally on the picture phone.
"Hello, Dorothy."
"Hello. Is there something I can do for you?"
"Yes, could you tell Relena that we want to meet her for a meeting tomorrow at Headquarters?"
"Sure. What's it about?"
"The representatives of Colony J7 have just confirmed that they are coming to Earth to celebrate their prime minister's birthday. They want Relena to be the honorary guest at his party. That means I have to get her ready for it."
"Ok. Good-bye.
"Bye."

"What's this all about a birthday party?" Relena asks.
"Did you come alone?" probes Sally.
"Yes, why?"
"The birthday party was only a cover-up. I didn't want to attract any attention to us. We have to meet Zechs and Lucrezia right now. You'll see what this is all about once we meet with them."

Sally brought Relena to a deserted warehouse that showed no sign of activity other than the two women. Relena had been puzzled from the start of their trip and couldn't possibly guess what her friends wanted her here for.
"This way" whispers Sally. She leads Relena to a hidden elevator behind a mirror. "Stand here. The computer needs to take a retinal scan of all the passengers before we can move."
Once the doors open, Relena finds her brother and his wife standing in front of six new model Gundums. Relena stands shocked for a few moments, then waits for someone to tell her everything.
Zechs speaks up: "Everyone here was worried that a war would eventually break out again so we built these Gundams to protect the nation. We know you disapprove but we wanted you to know."
"Are you mad with us for keeping this a secret?" asks Lucrezia.
"I just have one thing to say: which one is mine?"
