After a few weeks of fighting Quatre's magic began to waver, causing him to falter in his spell casting. The battle had gone on and off during those few weeks and the intermediate times were not long enough for him to regain his strength. Duo looked at his companion with worry, Quatre looked terrible. Duo increased his magic to support Quatre's wavering part. Unfortunately he wasn't quick enough and a few of the enemy's soldiers were able to get past. They were dealt with their own soldiers. Unfortunately they managed to kill off a couple dozen men before they were stopped.

By nightfall the two armies had retreated to their respectable camps. Duo looked at his companion with worry. "Are you alright Quatre? I mean you look like shit and hell warmed over at the same time."

"I'm fine Duo. Just a little tired that's all." Quatre replied.

"Ok buddy, its time you start using some of my powers." Duo instructed.

"Duo! I can't. I'll drain you. And I don't really know how."

"Quatre I told you already. I have infinite power, you can't drain me and I'll show you how to use it."

"Are you sure? If you were to collapse in the middle of the battle and Heero found out it was because I drained you, he'd kill me."

"Q don't worry. I promise I'll be fine. Now to use my power you have to concentrate on the feel of it. Close your eyes and feel the magic around you Quatre. What does it look like in your mind?" Duo asked.

"I can sense two types. One feels like a bright yellow color and the other is a dark purple."

"Alright. That's good. The yellow one is your power Quatre. That dark purple is mine. Concentrate on mine. Try to grasp it with your mind. Merge it with your own."

"Alright." Quatre slowly pulled on the magic fibers of Duo. Slowly he began to feel regenerated and his power began to grow. "This is amazing Duo. You are so strong."

"Heh. I suppose. Do you have control? Can you merge?"

"Yes. I feel regenerated and stronger. This is amazing." Quatre commented.

"Now that you are merged with my own power you will not run out on the battlefield. And you will not get tired unless you over exert your physical body."

"Thank you Duo."

"No problem Q. It was my pleasure." Giving his friend a hug, Duo walked out of the tent in search of Heero. "Now where could he have gone?"

"Maybe he went behind you?" Heero whispered in his ear. Duo shivered, he loved it when Heero did that to him. "How are you feeling?" Heero asked his lover.

"I'm fine. A little tired but that's all. Nothing a little sleep won't cure. What about you?"

"Hn, fine. I lost a few men out there today." Heero commented.

"Oh Heero it's not your fault. I should have realized that Quatre's powers were failing him because of over exertion. You can't be everywhere at once. They didn't die in vain. They were brave men and will be honored."

"It's not your fault either Duo. You can't expect to hold up such a large shield on your own."

"Well then it's neither of our faults. Come on I want to enjoy myself before we go to sleep tonight." Duo said as he tugged on Heero's arm.

"What do you, oh I see." The gleam in Duo's eyes as he dragged Heero towards their tent answered his question.

The battle went on for weeks after that day and soon those weeks turned into months. By the sixth month of battle, General Dekim's army began to waver. By the fortnight of the seventh month his army finally did fall. Relena's army was still quite large thanks to Quatre and Duo's shield spell. Trowa's archers didn't have a scratch on them. Wufei's half of the army did well but some died. One being lord Trieze, who had accidentally stepped into Wufei's rang as he shot a firewall at the enemy. Wufei had come back miserable for killing one of his own men. Lady Une however, forgave him telling him that it wasn't his fault. Heero's half were a bit more beaten up, only because Heero's wasn't as powerful as the others. He was after all a sword fighter and not a magic wielder. The battle for the world had been one by the side of good and the evil was destroyed. The prophecy had come true and had ended with a happy ending. Now all that was left to do was say goodbye and go home.

"I am so proud of you all. You fought hard against the enemy and we now have peace. You may all go home now as heroes and pray to the gods that you are alive. For those that were unfortunate enough to have perished in this horrible battle will be honored and praised as heroes as well. There shall be a great festival every year on this day to celebrate those that died valiantly in battle. Take care, all of you, return to your family's and friends, and may the gods be with you always." As the crowed cheered, Relena stepped down from the podium and made her way into the palace.

"That was a wonderful speech Relena." Dorothy praised.

"Thank you."

"Wufei, why don't you stay here in the palace. You could train others and you could be with me." Sally offered.

"Onna. You read my mind." Wufei declared as he gave Sally a quick kiss.

"Well it's about time you get over your sexist ways Wufei." Heero pointed out to his friend as he walked into the room. His arm around Duo's waist.

"Hn. Yes well, Maxwell take care of him and keep him under control. He can be wild at times." Wufei teased.

"Oh don't worry about that Wu-kun. I'll keep him in control. I can assure you that." Duo replied. Grinning wildly.

"Hn, I'm sure you will. But who will keep you under control?" Heero asked, tightening his grip around the braided boy's waist.

"Why you silly." Duo smiled, snuggling closer to Heero.

"Get a room you two." Wufei commented.

"We will after we get back to Dizandria. We just came to say good bye." Heero smirked as Wufei blushed.

"Well bye you two. I hope to see you soon. Make sure to visit." Sally said as she gave the two boys each a hug.

"We will." Duo replied, hugging her back.

Just as the two boys were about to leave Quatre and Trowa walked into the room. "Are you two leaving?" Quatre asked.

"Yep. We are Q-man. We were just about to go and look for you two to say good bye." Duo said as he gave Quatre a hug.

"Where are you going?" This from Trowa.

"We are going to my place in Dizandria. What about you two?" Heero asked.

"Well we're staying in Miro for a while then we'll be going to Zointalina." Quatre smiled as Trowa explained their plans.

"Sounds like fun. I will see you guys again. That's a promise." Duo stated as Heero took his hand and led him out the door.

"Hee-chan. This is going to be so much fun."

Heero nodded. "Yes it will."
